Hello! I hope everyone is doing well this interesting Saturday. I have a little something special for you all, so enjoy!

Stitches and Kisses

If Levy was gonna be honest with herself, she was really considering leaving Fairy Tail. She had gotten her friends and even kids in danger—only because she was a target of Phantom Lord. She didn't want that to happen. The kids said that they didn't blame Levy for what happened, but she did play a role in the mishap. Levy sighed. I have no idea what I'm going to do.

"You're gonna stay ya ass at Fairy Tail—that's what." Big Momma broke the silence in the kitchen.

Levy didn't need to question how she knew what she was thinking. It was Big Momma, of course she knew. "I'm not sure…I mean, I'm fine. It's just-,"

"No you're not fine. You're stressed. I mean look at ya, when was the last time you smoked a cigarette?" The small cigarette burned in an ashtray on the kitchen table. Levy couldn't smoke it; she only put it to her lips once. She smoked when she was younger but gave it up.

Levy groaned. "I'm not even smoking it…and I'm not stressed." She tried to sound confident but it wasn't there. "Ugh, who am I kidding?"

"Not me." Big Momma grunted as she stirred a bowl of cornbread batter. Her cuts were healing well; she looked like her normal self. Meanwhile, Charlotte had left down to get her bearings together. She put most of the blame on her. Daisy tried to stop her from going, but it was already decided.

The neighborhood knew what had happened, and for some time, it was argued whether they wanted the little bluenette to stay. However, it was hushed knowing that Big Momma was a force not to be reckon with and respected her love for Levy.

Levy waved her hand. "Of course not you." She considered to smoke the cigarette but again decided against it. "But I don't think I should stay—especially after what happened with you and Daisy. I can't keep putting you at risk."

"You honestly think Jose's gonna waltz into time in the near future? He'd be dumber than I thought." Big Momma poured the batter into a buttered cast iron skillet. "Besides, I don't think that Shadow Sheik would appreciate you leaving—make it seem like you were bailin' out after all the hell that man went through."

Levy agreed. She told Gajeel to be prepared for anything and here she was trying to get out when she can. She sighed. "Ok, ok. I understand. I'll try to talk to Mr. Dreyar when he isn't too busy."

"Good now put that damn cigarette out—stinkin' up my kitchen. Good Lord! We finally get Charlotte out the house with all that smoke and you bringing it back it." Big Momma exclaimed after she had put the corn bread in the oven. She waved her hand to exaggerate the stench.

Levy laughed. "Aye, yes ma'am."

It had been a long while since Levy sat at the bar in Fairy Tail. HQ was troubled with people trying catch Makarov or recording songs. With Phantom Lord being out of the way, Fairy Tail musicians were being bombarded with request for jobs; business was doing well.

Levy downed a chilled scotch. "You shouldn't be drinking."

There was a grunt. "Says you, you look like hell."

Levy poured herself another one and didn't respond. She groaned. Last one. She knocked it back. "I'm fine. This is my last one."

"You smell like smoke." The person pointed out.

Levy sighed. "I'm sure. I lit one earlier."

Her companioned eyed her for some time before adding, "You ok?"

McGarden rolled her eyes. "I'm fine; I'm not the one who got shot."

Gajeel laughed. "Gihi, I'm fine you know."

Levy shrugged. "Sure you are Redfox." She watched her partner drink another scotch. "And just how long have you been done here drinking?"

The man grunted. "Long enough."

"Need someone to take you home?" Levy offered.

"Nah, Juvia is taking me once she's done begging Fullbuster to do a duet with her." Redfox explained.

Levy nodded. "…how has she been doing? It's not every day you get shot at."

Gajeel shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "It's nothing. Just brought up some old memories."

Levy would have asked what specific memories, but she decided to let the man be. It wouldn't have been smart. "Oh" was all she said.

Gajeel laughed suddenly. "I still can't believe the kid bombed the place."

The bluenette chuckled. "Well it is the Editor."

"Yea, but she's not in town anymore—waiting for her name to be cleared. How long you think that'll take." Gajeel grinned.

Levy shook her head. "No idea, but no more than a month or two. I can't handle the newspaper for that long."

Gajeel patted Levy's shoulder. "Nah, you'll be fine. You seem like somehow who managed their school paper."

"While I did-,"

"What a dork." Gajeel tittered laughed—causing the bar to shake a bit. Levy cleared her throat. "Sorry, sorry." Gajeel noted how her cheeks were puffed out. How cute.

"Like I was saying, I did, but this is different and on a much larger scale." Levy clarified.

"I'm sure you can do it." Gajeel assured. "The kid wouldn't put just anyone in charge."

Someone joined them. "While I love that you two are alright and catching up, I need to close up." The two turned around.

The white hair sheba was waiting by the door for the partners to scat. It was well into the night and the bar was deserted.

Levy stood. "Ok Mira, we're going."

Gajeel cleaned up and followed Levy's lead. "I'll catch ya later Shrimp."

Levy giggled. "Sure Redfox. Don't stress that wound, alright?"

"Gihi of course." Redfox winked. They joined Mira by the door and watched her lock up.

The songstress watched the two bicker out the alley and smiled. They're so cute. Gajeel found Juvia waiting in a car for him and Levy caught a cab. It would be one long night of many.

Levy slapped him.

"What the hell! You can't play yet!" Levy exclaimed when she came into one of Fairy Tail HQ's recording rooms. It was lunch time and she had received a call from Lily that Gajeel…well he wasn't complying with his current physical state.

Gajeel groaned as he looked down at the bluenette from his stool. "Whatcha mean? I can play just fine." He attempted to play to prove his point but he groaned as he moved.

Levy sighed and rolled her eyes—irritated. "You're going to mess up your stitches." She looked at a clock. "I don't have time now, but come over my place around 5. I don't need you hurting yourself." And with that she turned and left.

Lily chuckled. "She's gonna beat your ass."

Gajeel punched his arm. "Bloody snitch."

Lily just laughed. "You weren't gonna listen to me, so I had to. You'll be fine. You know she cares, right."

Gajeel grumbled. "Yea, yea I know."

Lily smiled satisfied. "Good, you better be over there this evening."

Gajeel nodded. "I will." Oh god…this will be hell

In the blink of an eye, Gajeel found himself sitting cautiously on Levy's bed. For once in a lifetime, Big Momma didn't give any shit about Gajeel going upstairs to Levy's room. She knew about Gajeel's injury and didn't have to question what they'd be doing up there. She just said (threatened) that Gajeel would have to stay for dinner.

Levy had pulled her hair into a messy bun and was in some more casual, comfortable work clothes. She turned around and faced the man. She sighed—relaxing her shoulders. "Ok take off your clothes." She commanded bluntly.

"Damn shrimp, I mean I figured you wanted to look but damn." He chuckled. "Can't wait, huh?"

Levy puffed her cheeks. "Dry up bimbo, you know good and well that I need to get your stitches. And trust me, you rather have me patch you up instead of Mira or Erza."

Gajeel shivered at the thought. Oh god… "Well what about the kid?"

Levy took out a needle and thread and shook her head. "Wendy is busy. Porlyusica has her locked up for the moment, scared that she'll get hurt with the mess going on with the Phantoms. Plus, she has a recital coming up."

Gajeel unbuttoned his shirt and took it off. Levy turned and instantly blushed despite herself. She knew the man was…rather built but damn! He looked good. Levy turned quickly not wanting to stare too long.

Redfox had scars on his chest and his arms; Levy was curious about the stories where they had come from. No, I won't ask, that would be too weird. She took in a deep breath and turned to face the man.

She got closer to examine the wrap around his wound. "You'll need new bandages, but it was done nicely."

Gajeel wouldn't make eye contact. "Yea the nurse was nice n stuff." He was sure how he felt about the shrimp being so close to him. With him being shirtless in al…

Levy took off the bandages and looked at his shoulder. "Damn it, I knew you had messed with your stitches." She started cutting and taking the old thread out.

Gajeel grumbled. "Whatever. I can't stay away from my bass for too long. Drives me crazy."

Levy nodded. Makes sense. "I understand, but the sooner you let your wound heal, the sooner you can play." She was quite surprised when she saw how well the wound was healing. "Goodness you heal fast. Jet is still healing bit by bit from that night."

The musician shrugged. "I'm like that I guess. This isn't the first time I've been shot so yea."

I'm sure. "Ok." Levy nodded before she started stitching the man's wound. After a few minutes of silence, Gajeel started twitching. "Stop moving, will you!" Levy grumbled getting irritated.

"Damn why ya so rough!" Gajeel started shifting away from the bluenette. "Stop, it's fine."

Levy's cheeks tinted annoyed. "No it's not. It needs to be properly treated; otherwise, you're gonna have one arm. Do you want that?" Gajeel kept on moving. Levy cursed. "I don't have time for this."

She summoned up all her strength and pushed the man onto his back and climbed on top of him on, sitting on his lower chest with a leg on each side of his torso. "Stay." She said sternly.

Gajeel, not sure about the position, blushed and covered his face. "Damn it shrimp ok."

"Put your arms down." Gajeel obeyed. "Good, now be still." Levy smiled—finally getting her way with this man.

God, what a position! I hope no one comes in on us like this. Gajeel thought he was the only flustered one until he noticed the red on Levy's cheeks. He snickered mentally. Enjoying the show? "Gihi, likin' what ya see?" he chuckled.

Levy scoffed. "Oh please, all I see is an idiot who got himself shot."

Gajeel raised a brow. "Oh really? Then how come ya blushin'?" he smirked mischievously.

Shit. Levy avoided the question. "I should be asking you that, Redfox. I think you like having a woman on top." She chuckled.

Gajeel took matters in his own hands and held Levy's hip in one of his hands. "Wanna test that theory?"

Levy squealed and wiggled a bit until Gajeel let go. She hid her face and hit the man as he laughed at her reaction. "Shu-shut up. I would not do that." She turned slowly and with slightly flustered hands finished the stitch neatly.

Gajeel tittered. "Why not? I wouldn't mind." He winked. How cute.

Levy didn't know how to answer to that, but thankfully she heard footsteps coming and squealed again before quickly getting off the man. In a knick of time too.

Big Momma opened the door. "Y'all good?"

Levy nodded nervously. God, that was close. "Yes, we're fine. I just would like to clean it up."

The woman nodded. "Ok, well dinner is ready. Don't take too long."

"Yes ma'am." Levy chirped innocently. Big Momma closed the door. As the sound of footsteps, Levy turned to her partner. "Calm down, you can breathe."

Gajeel let out a deep breath. "Oh God…"

Levy rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you were just so cocky a minute ago."

"Yea but that woman is scarier than God Himself." Gajeel retorted.

Levy chuckled. "You wouldn't have done anything anyway."

Gajeel watched her soak a towel in a bowl of warm water and wring it out. "Again I ask, ya wanna test that theory of yours."

Levy went to him and cleaned up the stitches. She glanced at the naughty look on Gajeel's face. "Are you?" she said—her face inches from his.

Gajeel closed in the space, lips hovering from hers. "We'll see…soon." And with that he stood up and grabbed his shirt.

Levy blinked slowly confused. "Wha- I-,"

Gajeel ruffled her hair. "What's the matter shrimp? Were ya looking forward to it gihi?"

Levy crossed her arms and looked away. "It wouldn't mean anything to me anyway."

Gajeel finished buttoning his shirt. "Really? I think you only say that because you won't do it."

Levy straightened up. "I won't?"

Gajeel could see that things were going his way. "Yea, you won't. Unless you prove me wrong." His eyes glowed mischievously, daring the bluenette. Try me shrimp.

She didn't move instantly, but Levy slowly moved to the man and soon had closed all space and kissed him. It was meant to be quick, but she liked the feeling and kept going for a few more seconds.

They separated for air. Gajeel opened his eyes and groaned—upset that it ended. Soon he saw the bluenette by the door. "There's your proof." And with that she went downstairs.

Gajeel stood, dumbly staring at the doorway. Goddamn…shrimp can kiss.

As expected, Big Momma had put together a splendid dinner of seafood gumbo. It was delicious and filling. Gajeel probably would have found a way to stay over longer to eat and exchange a few mischievous looks at the blushing bluenette.

But at last, Lily had swung by to see if Gajeel even stopped by. He was gonna stay, but the man needed a ride home and Lily was going to swing home before he went to work. So he thanked Big Momma for the meal and Levy for her help and gave her one last wink before leaving.

The ride home was quiet. Gajeel could tell Lily was holding back a load of questions—which meant his imagination was answering them for his own entertainment. More than a few times, the man slipped and a short laugh would escape his mouth. Gajeel was ignoring it, but it was soon bothering him.

"Ugh, alright! Get it out, you sound like a fucking school girl laughing like that." Gajeel grumbled to his friend.

Lily didn't miss a beat and laughed aloud. "Sorry, but I could just see the look in your eyes. Y'all kissed didn't ya!?"

Gajeel rolled his eyes and tried to play the situation off. "I don't know what you're talkin' about."

"Oh sure, how come you were winking at her? She was a whole new shade of red, blushing." Lily explained.

Gajeel smirked at that fact. "I didn't kiss her." He chuckled as the car stopped and he got out the car.

Lily put on his hat and swung his jacket over his shoulder. "What happened then?" he asked as he fished for his keys.

Gajeel grinned. "Like I said, I didn't kiss her." He paused and chuckled. "She kissed me."

Lily laughed. "What! Haha, you little hepcat, I can't believe you."

Juvia was home and opened the door at all the commotion from outside. "What happened?"

"Gajeel and Levy kissed." Lily answered quickly. He chuckled as he got the door opened.

Gajeel face palmed; he knew he could tell Lily, but Juvia would—and was probably going to—tell the whole town of Magnolia. He watched the woman twirl in her house dress in joy. "Yea, yea but don't go tellin the world. It was nothin'. We ain't an item or whatever."

Lily chuckled and winked. "Sure, sure. My lips are sealed." He slid into his home and closed the door.

Gajeel turned to Juvia. "Juvia won't say a word." She giggled. "Not one." She went back inside.

The bassist sighed as he opened his home between the two and entered. Great, I give it two days before all of Magnolia is talking. Gajeel sighed and got himself a glass of water. He thought the day's events.

He snickered as he sat on his couch. Gihi, that shrimp can kiss! I ain't gonna lie. Haha, might have to get better soon to get more of that!
