Me and the Matthews

Maya's life has been a roller coaster ride luckily she had her friends to keep it balanced. She had been through the ups and down's to much that anyone her age should be able to handle but some how she did. Was it her friends, Shawn Hunter, The Matthews that helped? Maya wasn't sure all she new was that she was in for a bumpy ride.

14. What Ifs and Where's Josh

Chapter 13

The bell had just gone for school to begin and Maya wanted to get to home group on time for once so she could talk to josh about what happened the night before with the whole almost kiss thing. Maya arrived at Home Group and was the second one there the first was Mr Matthews he was just unlocking the door.

''Morning Mr Matthews'' Maya said

''Miss Hart'' Mr Matthews said before opening the door and walking in. he suddenly stopped and turned around to face Maya.

''Your early?'' Mr Matthews said

''got a problem with that'' Maya asked

''no it's just I've never seen this before'' Mr Matthews said

''well I had to talk with josh about some stuff so you know'' Maya said

''Oh yeah what did you guys get up to last night he called me up and briefly told me'' Mr Matthews said

''I'll let him tell you'' Maya said

''but that's the thing he won't. He only told me who he liked two weeks ago and I already knew for ages'' Mr Matthews said

''Who is it?'' Maya asked

''You will have to ask him'' Mr Matthews said

Maya rolled her eyes kind of annoyed she wanted to know if last night's almost kiss was a pity kiss.

Other students had started walking into the room and the first was Shane. He had a bruised cheek and was shocked as soon as he saw Maya.

''Maya'' Shane said

''What'' Maya asked

''Listen I'm so sorry about last night charlotte wasn't getting the signals I kept sending her and I just kind of lost it I'm so sorry'' Shane said

''I guess you deserve that burse then'' Maya said

''yeah so how is josh'' Shane asked

''Haven't seen him since he dropped me off did you'' Maya asked

''he was super mad last night and even yelled at Emily I have never seen him act like that especially not to her'' Shane said

''Emily as in His best friend Emily'' Maya asked shocked about what she had heard

''I knew he was mad at us for leaving you on your own but I didn't know he was that mad. You must mean a lot to him'' Shane said

''yeah well we've known each other since we were kids so it makes since'' Maya said

''yeah well he's a good guy let me know when you see him'' Shane said

''k'' Maya said

''hey Maya come sit we need to talk'' Maya heard a voice from behind her call

''must be a full moon today or I'm going crazy you two actually want to talk'' Mr Matthews said

''it's not that bad'' Maya said

''whatever'' Mr Matthews said

Maya went and sat down next to the person who had called her over Missy.

''yeah'' Maya said

''I saw you at the party last night'' missy said

''what how did you get there'' Maya asked

''talked to a few John Adams boys'' missy said

''why didn't you come say hi'' Maya asked

''well I was going to I only saw you when you were leaving'' missy said

''leaving?'' Maya asked

''yeah with that smoking josh'' Missy said

''oh yeah him'' Maya said

''that's not the only thing I saw'' missy said

''oh yeah what else'' Maya asked

''Maya please as if you wouldn't tell me you kissed my man'' missy said

''he's my man'' Maya quickly said not even thinking about what she had just said

''I knew you liked him what does riley think does she know'' missy said

''so what and yes riley does know and she's cool with it'' Maya said

''….. so how was it on a scale of 1-10 10 being the best 1 being the worst go'' missy said

'' it was a big fat 0'' Maya said

''what gee I thought maybe a 8 or a 9 but seriously 0 what happened'' missy said

''nothing that's the problem'' Maya said

''I'm lost'' missy said

''my phone went off right before it happened'' Maya said

''sucks I wanted to know if he was any good'' missy said

''he's mine'' Maya said

''you know what Maya you not actually that bad'' missy said

''I guess you're not that bad either'' Maya said

''we still don't like each other right?'' missy said

''oh yeah totally'' Maya said

''great because I didn't want you think we were besties or something'' missy said

''true besides you have your friends I have mine and it works out good'' Maya said

''I guess it does'' missy said

''wow the two of you sorted it out'' Mr Matthews said

''oh no we still hate each other'' Missy said

''why would you even think differently'' Maya said

''I had that coming'' Mr Matthews said

''so where's josh?'' missy asked

''not coming today'' Mr Matthews said

''what why'' Maya asked

''I can't go into detail but you might just be able to call him yourself'' Mr Matthews said

The bell rang and the home group moved onto their next lesson.

9:10 we need to talk (Maya)

10:22 you better not be dead in a ditch somewhere (Maya)

10:37 josh call me (Maya)

11:00 Josh come on I'm really worried about you just let me know you're ok (Maya)

1:08 ok that's 7 missed called what's up just tell me please be alright (Maya)

1:14 josh have died or something please be ok anyway call me when you get this chance we still need to go out for that coffee I promised and we also need to talk(Maya)

''hey Maya'' Maya heard someone call and when she turned she could not have been more disappointed.

''what do you want'' Maya asked

''Listen about last night I'm really sorry about how it turned out'' Emily said

''yeah well you should be'' Maya said

''We didn't think Shane would do something like that '' Charlotte said

''yeah well he did'' Maya said

''luckily josh got there in time hey'' charlotte said

''wow trying to make yourselves feel better'' Maya asked

''listen were sorry'' Emily said

''josh was right'' Maya said

''about what'' Charlotte said

''you only care about yourself'' Maya said

''any way just wanted to say sorry'' Charlotte said feeling so guilty she just walked off

''umm Maya'' Emily asked

''what'' Maya answered

''speaking of josh have you heard from him'' Emily asked

'Why'' Maya asked

''well none of us have seen him since last night when he was annoyed with us we just covered for him this morning he hasn't been answering any of our calls and I just hope he's ok'' Emily said

''well I talked to him just then he's as well as can be expected'' Maya said

''oh thank god I don't know what I would do with myself if anything happened to him'' Emily said

''you really care about him don't you'' Maya asked

''yeah I really like him he's my best friend'' Emily said

''it's all fine don't worry'' Maya said

''Thanks bye'' Emily said before walking off.

Maya tried calling josh again she hadn't really talked to him and she didn't know how he was she just hoped he was ok.

''Hey it's Maya. listen josh in really worried about you and I just found out that your friends haven't seen you since last night in kind of freaking out here please be ok….I need you to be ok…anyway I feel like an idiot talking to a voice mail machine I just wanted to hear your voice. Call me when you get this bye.'' Maya said before hanging up the phone.

What if he went for a drive and crashed?

What if he got kidnapped or something

What if he's dead in a ditch?

Anything could have happened and Maya knew that soon she would have to come clean about not knowing where he was.

A/n so hope you liked it I just wrote it quickly so it's not the greatest but it will have to do. I'll try update soon.
