Sorry, fans of both DC Comics and Bleach, I forgot to put up the disclaimer regarding Nightwing and Green Arrow. I've been posting more chapters than I have one-shots, so that really hasn't come to mind. So as a reminder, here are the following disclaimers:

Disclaimer 1: Tite Kubo has the distinct honor as the creator of Bleach.

Disclaimer 2: DC Comics owns the rights to Nightwing, Green Arrow, and any other superheroes and villains I mention in this story (except for Cloak).

Remember that Cloak belongs to crazyblade89 and Logan Washburn belongs to me.

Thank God we've got that settled. Now let's get on with the story.

Nightwing's Arrival! Rescue Mission!

Logan was confused. The vigilante before him was definitely the same teenager who wore the red, yellow, and green as Robin, but he gave it up just to prove he was on equal standing with Batman. Then again, the Bat Family has always perplexed him except for the Dark Knight himself. "Let me get this straight, Dick: you tossed away your original alter-ego as Robin just to prove you're on even grounds with Batman?" he asked.

"Well, yes and no. I wanted to prove that I'm on even grounds with Batman, yes, but I passed the Robin torch; I didn't toss it away," Nightwing answered. "In fact, I still hold sentimental value to that one, which is why I help Batman train my successors."

"And that's why you chose the name 'Nightwing'?" Dick nodded. "Let's get back to the matter at hand: this Justice Leaguer you were sent to rescue. Which one is it? Batman? The Flash? Green Lantern?"

"It's Green Arrow. He's an archer equivalent to Batman. This even includes members of his Arrow Team. The one difference that I know of is that one of them has superpowers. That one is Black Canary," he answered, showing Logan a hologram image of each member of the Arrow Team.

"Speedy looks like she can handle herself fairly well…Black Canary must've done a lot of training to keep her curves…Arsenal must be the dark horse," Logan said, describing each one.

"Every team has one. The Bat Family's no exception. Ours is my immediate successor Jason Todd. He had a very short term as Robin. Once the Joker killed him, he was resurrected by Ra's al Ghul. Afterwards, Jason took the Joker's original identity 'Red Hood', but he went with an outfit better suited for the streets. Jason formed a group called the 'Outlaws' with Arsenal and one of the former Titans Starfire. She and I haven't been on speaking terms since."

"Who's the current Robin?"

"There is no Robin now. The last one was a son that Bruce had with Ra's' daughter Talia. His name was Damien Wayne. He had a good term as Robin, but he was killed by a clone that Talia made called the Heretic. For a while, Bruce went on a rampage to bring him back, but ultimately decided to move on. In his last fight with Talia, both she and the Heretic were killed in our last battle with them. We went to the graves of Damien and Talia and discovered that they were empty. Bruce and I are still trying to find out why."

"I'm so sorry."

"Don't be."

"Who were the Robins between Jason and Damien?"

"Tim Drake was the third one. While I was still wearing what Raven called the 'traffic light colors', Tim did some detective work like you did and discovered that Bruce was Batman and I was Robin. There was a time where Bruce took an unintentional leave of absence, so much to Jason's dismay, I subbed in for him. Tim didn't like it, but I chose Damien for my Robin, causing him to take up the Red Robin identity."

"Talk about envy in the family."

"You said it. The fourth Robin you probably know better as the Spoiler. When Batgirl was paralyzed, she took up that mantle until Tim was forced to temporarily hang up the Robin cape. At that time, she became Robin until Tim came back. Her name is Stephanie Brown and she's the first female Robin we've had. Tim was even smitten with her. Batgirl's paralysis healed up and she retook her mantle. The one we had when Stephanie became Robin was Cassandra Cain, aka Black Bat. Our Batgirl's name is Barbara Gordon, the Commissioner's daughter."

"You're kidding, right?"

"I wish I was. Once Barbara retook her mantle, things were back to normal until Bruce went missing. As I said, she stayed in her normal identity, while I took over as Batman, Damien became my Robin and eventually Bruce's and Tim took the Red Robin identity. Jason, of course, stayed the Red Hood and at that time, formed the Outsiders with Arsenal and Starfire."

"I see. Let's get to that hideout in Tokyo and rescue Green Arrow," said Logan. "I have to make a call first, though."

"Got it," Nightwing said, smirking.

Logan then got on the phone to call the Black Crescent. "Hello?" Ichigo answered.

"Ichigo, is Soifon there?"

"Yeah, Logan, hold on."

"Hello? Logan?" Soifon asked.

"Soifon, I found him. We're going to have to go on a rescue mission, though. A member of the Justice League got caught by the Templars. Chances are I'll have to catch up with you guys later."

"Okay, Logan. Just come back safe. I miss you already."

"I miss you too, Lin. Love you," Logan said.

"Love you too." The two hung up. Logan turned around and saw Nightwing smirking.

"I'd wipe that smirk off if I were you, Grayson. Last I checked, you and Raven flirted around with each other quite a bit."

"Okay, you got me. Let's just go."

They managed to make it to Tokyo and find the Abstergo building easily. Traveling by rooftops is definitely a good way to get around, especially for vigilantes and Assassins. "Well, Logan, the place looks pretty well guarded. Got any ideas on how to get in?" asked Nightwing.

Logan took a look around until he saw one. "Yeah, I've got one, Wing. But chances are we're going to have to take more than a few showers," Logan said. Nightwing looked around until he saw what Logan was talking about.

"Oh." They jumped down to the alley and opened a sewer hatch. Nightwing jumped in first, followed by Logan, who closed the lid. They came at a crossway in the sewer. "Which way is it?"

"The left," Logan answered. They made their way down the sewers until they came across a pair of big doors with the Abstergo insignia on it. "That's it alright, but how are we going to get past those guards?" asked Logan.

"Easy. We use knockout gas," answered Nightwing, holding up a smoke pellet. Logan smirked at the idea.

"This should be fun." Logan and Nightwing got out their rebreathers before the vigilante threw the knockout gas at the guards. The guards passed out from inhaling the gas while the vigilante-Assassin duo walked by them. Logan pickpocketed them until he found an access card. He swiped it through the card scanner while Nightwing held up one of the guards to the retina scan.

They were cleared for access, so the doors opened. The two made their way to the nearest control panel, knocking out the guards in the process. They looked at the screen to find out where the holding cells were. "Alright that's good. The holding cells are on this level," said Nightwing.

"Let's get going," said Logan. They made their way to the holding cells where they saw a couple of guards messing with Arrow's stuff. Luckily, they were too busy to notice Logan and Nightwing sneaking up on them. The duo managed to take them down silently before looking for a key. They found it and proceeded to look for Green Arrow's cell.

"Psst. Hey, guys. Over here," they heard a voice say. Logan and Nightwing looked where the voice was coming from. They found Green Arrow still in one of the cells. Logan unlocked the cage before unlocking the shackles around the archer's wrist and ankles. "Thank God you guys came here earlier than I expected."

"Now what makes you think the League would leave you hanging?" Nightwing asked. "GA, this is my Assassin buddy Logan."

"Nice to meet you."

"The same to you, Mr. Queen," Logan said, shocking GA.

"Nightwing, you didn't tell him my identity, did you?"

"No I didn't. Part of his job as an Assassin is detective work. He did some to figure out Batman's identity as well. Logan figured out through his special ability called 'Spirit Sense', which detects people by Spiritual Signatures, that I was the original Robin."

"You're never going to live that down, are you?"

"Let's get out of here. I'm sensing an opponent that I fought in Germany the other day." Nightwing and Green Arrow nodded.

"Too late, fellas," said a familiar voice.

"Crenshaw!" Logan exclaimed angrily.

Meanwhile, back at the Black Crescent, Soifon woke up and saw that Logan wasn't back yet. She approached Ichigo, who was fixing a pot of coffee for everyone. Byakuya Kuchiki had arrived last night with Nemu Kurotsuchi, Marechiyo Omaeda, Ikkaku, and Yumichika. He woke up expecting the young Assassin to show up. "Captain Soifon, do you mind explaining to me the whereabouts of our good friend Logan Washburn?" he asked.

"He went on a rescue mission with an old friend he met during his training. He said not to wait up for him, that he'll catch up later," she answered.

"Well you look like you didn't sleep well last night," Ichigo stated. "Something on your mind?"

"You must be an expert on the special forces of the World of the Living, Ichigo. Tell me what you know about a group called the 'Justice League',"

CHAPTER 14 END
