Disclaimer: I will never own Tamaki...or, OHSHC
I decided that I was going to leave Rin alone on this subject and just let her deal with her own problems. If she wants to talk to me about it then that's on her. I'm sure she's bothered enough already with all the other mess and I don't want to pressure about it. However, I wasn't expecting her to come to the host club after what had happened. I stared at her for a moment before greeting her.
"Hi..." I said.
She gave me a smile and an awkward wave. "Hey."
She sat down in front of me and I stared back at her. It seemed like a secret staring contest that I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to lose. Until finally she looked down to her hands.
I cleared my throat. "We missed you yesterday."
"Yeah, I wasn't feeling well." She said.
I raised my brow. "Really?" She was quiet for a moment before sighing.
"You know already, don't you?" She asked.
I rubbed the back of my neck. "Yeaaahhhh..."
"Who?" She asked.
"Koaru?" I said glancing over to him. He and Hikaru were smiling with the guests.
She went silent once more. I picked up my tea. "I'm going out with Kagura this weekend." My eyes buldged out and I began to choke. "Kris! Are you alright?" Apparently my hacks of death were catching everyone's attention because all the host and guest came over to check if I wasn't dying. That would be a horribly stupid thing to have on my death certificate.
Death by tea.
Haruhi walked up and asked. "Kris are you alright?" I nodded as I gave another cough.
"Y-Yeah, the tea...was just...hot?" I said. Though it sounded more like a question. I glanced over to Rin and I saw that she was looking at Hikaru, who was glaring at the floor.
Haruhi raised her brow as she examined the cup. "It's cold."
"Oh, really?" I said as my voice cracked. "My mistake then."
Everyone was silent for a moment before Tamaki asked. "What's wrong with everyone? It's seems so, so awkward for some reason."
Rin sighed. "It was my fault. I told Kris something and she was a bit surprise is all."
"But I'm good, just coughed up my eternal organs." I said, rubbing my throat and watery eyes from all my coughing.
"Sorry." She said.
"It's fine, it's fine." I waved her off.
"Well it must have been pretty serious for him to react that way, right?" A girl asked. My eye twitched. Why do they always ask the wrong thing at the most important moments? I blinked when everyone was silent again and I slowly turned to Rin. I shook my head but she already started to say it.
"He was just surprise that I said that I was going out with Kagura this weekend." She said in a even tone.
"Really?" The girls asked. "I thought he was going to marry Kris."
"That wasn't a real thing!" I sputtered. Regardless they ignored me and continued to gossip.
"So I guess he's moved on."
"He's a cute guy."
"Oh, your so lucky!" Another girl said.
"Yeah, whatever." Hikaru mumbled. Everyone turned to Hikaru as he stood next to his brother with a frown. "You got a boyfriend, good for you." He said.
Though he didn't sound sincere. Everyone expected Rin to break out in an argument just as usual, but all she did was smile. "Thank you." Rin said. Only for a moment did he look hurt before looking away. I rubbed my face with a sigh. I don't think I can take anymore awkward silences.
Somebody please make it stop. Suddenly the door busted open. "The fun has arrived~" Not the distraction I was thinking of, but it would work.
My sisters walked in and stopped in the middle of the floor. "What's up with you guys?" Ana asked. "I thought this was the fun host club, not the sad quiet room. Make some noise!" She with a smile.
"Did you ever stop to think that they were having a serious conversation?" Stephanie asked.
Ana raised her brow. "Why would they ever want to do that?" She turned to us with a grin. "Why so serious?" She burst out into giggles at her own joke. "You get it cause, you know, the Joker...and... and Batman..." She continued to laugh and I shook my head.
"Ana, your an idiot." Stephanie said, shaking her head and whipping her hair over her shoulder.
"The gene runs in the family!" She joked.
"Obviously." Hikaru and Koaru agreed.
"Hey!" The twins and myself defended. Ana pointed to the gingers.
"Hika-pika, koala bear, entertain me~" She said as she skipped over and started to drag them.
"H-Hey quit it!" Hikaru said. Kaoru said nothing and looked over to me. He knew just as well as I did what Ana was doing. She glanced over at me and winked. Yep, she did it on purpose. Stephanie walked over to Kyoya.
"I don't believe that your making anything by everyone just standing around, are you?" She said tilting her head.
Kyoya's glasses glinted, before smiling at all of the guests. "Perhaps we should save this conversation for another time." He pulled another photo album that Renge put together no doubt. "I have an all new issue of the host club that you can order now." The girls squealed and followed after him.
Haruhi looked at me and I gave her a meaningful look, translation: I'll tell you later.
She sighed and looked to Tamaki. "Come on Tamaki, you're neglecting your customers."
The blonds eyes watered. "But my baby sister is keeping things from me! As your brother I order you tell me what's going on!"
I gave an internal sigh before looking up to Tamaki with wide eyes and tilted my head. "You don't trust me?" I asked.
He jolted at my expression. "O-Of course I do, it's just..."
"So you don't trust me..." I sag my shoulders pushing my hair from my face. "I thought my big brother believed in me." I waited and hoped this would get him off my back for at least a little while. I knew that at one point I would have to tell everyone what was going on.
Tamaki jumped me into a hug and pressed his face to mine. "I do, I do! I'm sorry!" I glanced to Rin and smiled. Haruhi and Tamaki went back to their tables and I sat back in my chair. I started to stir my tea before Rin began to speak.
"That was quite a performance." Rin said.
"I learn from the best." I said, giving her a grin.
"Honey sempai?" She asked.
"Yeah, it always works on me though." I say as puff out my cheeks.
She smiles. "I can see why it seems pretty persuasive."
"Mmhm." I said. She gave me a look and I know exactly what she was going to ask. "Don't."
"Don't what?" She asked with an innocent look.
"I know you Rin and I'm telling you, don't." I said.
She rolled her eyes. "Oh fine, but I was just curious. I'd like to know how much the oh-so-innocent Honey sempai has gotten you to do with his persuasive personality."
I glanced to her as I pushed down my blush. "Well why don't you tell me how and why your going out with Kagura this weekend."
She stopped smiling. "Well he was there when I was...upset and he said that he liked me. I-I don't know he asked me to go out with him, but after what had just happened I said no. I felt bad, but he asked me to go out this weekend. I couldn't turn him down so I said yes."
"And Hikaru?" I asked. "What about him?"
She shrugged. "I think...we should just be friends."
"Right..." I said looking away from her. "So where are you two going?"
"Were going to go see a movie and have dinner." She said.
"That sounds nice." I said. "Mitsukuni said he was taking me somewhere this weekend too."
"Really? That's so cute." Rin said. I blushed.
"I could say the same for you."
"Yeah..." She said lifting her glasses. "It will be nice." I pursed my lips. She seemed like she was trying to convince herself more than me.
I didn't say anything else about it after that.
*Break*
After host club ended, Tamaki said that we all were going to have an emergency meeting. Something told me that I already knew what it was about.
"See ya later Piglet." Ana said patting me on the shoulder.
"Bye, Krystal." Stephanie said. I waved to them as they walked out of the door. I wish I could go with them and avoid this conversation all together.
Haruhi sat down across from us and the twins on either side of her. "Why did the boss call for a meeting?" Hikaru asked.
"Who knows why the boss does anything." Kaoru said though he glanced at me. Haruhi caught me looking at him and I turned away.
Kyoya sat down at the a table next to us as Tamaki came in and stood in the middle. "So Tamaki what is this whole thing about?" Haruhi asked.
"Well, I've noticed lately everyone has something to hide and it seems to be effecting the host club according to Kyoya." I resisted the urge to role my eyes. Was it really only about the money? "But I'm not talking about what we make from doing this. Everyone seems stand-offish. I thought we were a family and we could talk to each other. So that's what I've called this meeting for."
"For us to talk?" The twins asked.
"Yes." He said. " And I would like Kris to start."
Everyone turned to me and I gulped. "Uh, well talking is such a broad subject, y-you know?" My voice cracked. They continued to stare and I sighed. "Alright fine." I took in a deep breath. "Kaoru and I have been talking about Hikaru's...relationship with Rin, alright?"
"What!" Hikaru said turning to me. "Why is that any of you business?"
I frowned. "Well, Rin is my friend so I was worried about her and Kaoru is your brother so that goes with out saying."
"That still doesn't mean you can-"
"Hikaru calm down." Haruhi said.
I sighed. "Look Hikaru, Rin is my friend, but you are too. At least think you are..." He stared me for a moment. "So I just thought that we could help."
"Well what does it matter. It's done with and she's going out with Kagura now."
"Only a date." Kaoru added.
"He said he asked her out so whatever..." He said. I blinked.
"...he told you?"
"Yeah, so?" He snapped. "It doesn't matter to me."
"Not to worry I have a plan-"
"No, no plan. I don't want to be a part of it." Hikaru said as he stormed out of the room.
"Hikaru, wait!" Kaoru said running after him.
"Tamaki do you think you should butt into something like this?" Haruhi asked.
"Yeah...I thought I could help, but I guess not." I said. "Maybe we should just leave it alone.".
"But it seems Kris figured something out." Kyoya said. "Am I right?"
I gave a slow nod. "Yeah, I think I did. It's true that Kagura likes Rin. I'm sure about that. But the thing that made it strange is him actually tell Hikaru what they were going to do. It was almost like he was baiting him to do something about it."
"He was trying to make Hikaru jealous on purpose?" Haruhi said.
I said. "I think so...Maybe he wanted Hikaru to go and get her and if he doesn't..."
"Then he still wins." Kyoya said.
I nodded. "That's exactly what I think."
"So what do you propose that we do about it?" Tamaki asked.
I shook my head. "Nothing, I don't want to do anymore damage then there already is. Its there problem and I'm leaving it at that. It's obvious that Hikaru doesn't want any of our help." I said pursing my lips. "And Rin is trying to move on."
"But-"
"No Tamaki, were leaving it alone and I don't want to hear about you spying on anyone." I said giving him a stern look. "Promise me."
He gave a sigh. "Alright Kris, you win you won't hear about me spying on anyone."
"Good." I said with a smile. I glanced up at the clock. "I gotta go guys, see you later." I waved to them and turned on my heel. I started down the hall and took in a deep breath when I reached the bottom of the stairs. I hit my cheeks and straightened up. What was I upset about? Absolutely nothing. That's the way I needed to keep it. Things were going to work out and I just need to look on the bright side.
I'm going out with Mitsukuni tomorrow. That's great. I haven't gone out with him in a while. This would be good for us. After all we've been going out for almost a year. I need to think about what I was going to get him. His favorite color is pink if I'm not mistaken.
"K-chan! K-chan!" I turned around at the sound of Mitsukuni's voice. That was strange. I could have sworn that he said he wasn't going to be here today. I looked up with a smile that faded from my face quickly. I paled as my eyes widened. The blond jumped off the banister coming straight at me. He slammed into me and we landed on the ground.
I tumbled for a moment then we came to a halt on the tile floor. I winced when I saw him staring down at me with a flowery smile. I blinked to see he was on top of me. My eye twitched.
He seemed to be doing this more and more as of late. Even though I'm pretty sure that we made an agreement not to do anything I don't like. Then again, I can't say that I don't like this, so I'm a bit confused. With myself, that is.
"Um Mitsukuni, why did you do that?" I managed to say while he casually sat on my lower stomach.
He giggled. "I wanted to try something new and surprise you."
"Well you certainly surprised me." I said as I sat up slowly and looked at him.
"Did I hurt you?" He asked. I shook my head. "That's good." He sat there humming and I sweat-dropped.
"Mitsukuni?"
"Hm?"
"Would you mind, I don't know, getting up?" I asked.
He tilted his head with a pout. "If you give me a kiss."
"We're in the middle of the hallway and students can walk by at any moment." I said.
"You can do it quick~" He said.
I furrowed my brow and stared at him. "Mitsukuni."
"Pretty please?" He said sticking out lip.
"Why right now?" I asked. We could easily get up and go somewhere private. I blushed at the thought.
"Because I love you." He said simply. I blinked at him.
"Oh...me too." I said my face becoming red. "But..."
He was quiet for a moment before smiling up at me. "I'm just kidding K-chan you don't have to."
"Wait." I pushed down any redness that was surfacing on my cheeks. "I'll do it." I asked.
His face brightened. "Really?"
"Yes." I tried my best to keep and even tone. "Close your eyes."
"Kay~" He said as he close them and took in a deep breath. I stared at him for a moment.
...he was so adorable.
NO, no! Focus! Quick and simple.
I cleared my throat. Now, he said kiss him but he didn't say where...don't you dare think dirty! I know you were!
I glanced at his lips before moving toward him. "K-chan what are you-"
I kiss him right behind his ear. "Can you get up now Mitsukuni?" He didn't move. I blinked. "Mitsukuni..." I looked at his face and saw that it was beet red. "What?"
He held his ear and stared at me. "Aw K-chan, why did you do it there?"
"Are you sensitive there?" I asked. He didn't say anything. I broke out into a smile. "Seriously?" He quickly scrambled off me to the corner.
"It makes me feel funny..." He said avoiding eye contact. His ears glowing red.
I snorted with a laugh. "Oh this is too good."
"It's not funny K-chan!" He seemed genuinely embarrassed.
"Yes, yes it is." I answered. He stood up with a pout and turned away from me.
"Fine then...I wont kiss you anymore." He crossed his arms. I rolled my eyes at how childish he was being.
"Really?" I asked raising my brow. Though I wasn't excepting him to say that.
"Really." He said trying his best to be firm.
I paused for a moment. "Alright, I guess we don't have to kiss anymore." I turned away from him and started down the hallway.
"K-chan no! I was kidding!" Mitsukuni moaned as he held onto my arm. I bit back a smile.
"No, your right I shouldn't make fun of you for being...sensitive, we don't need to." I said in a mocking tone trying not to laugh.
"Aw K-chan stop being so mean, I didn't really mean it." He whined.
"Well you tease me all the time." I shot back.
"But I was only playing, your bullying me!" He pouted.
I raised my brow. "By not kissing you?"
"Yes." He said simply.
I shook my head. "Mitsukuni?"
"Yeah?" He asked, not looking in my direction.
"Can you look at me, please?" I asked. He went to turn around and at that moment I bent down, putting my lips on his. It only lasted a second before I stood up straight. "Happy now?"
He thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, for now."
"For now?" I asked.
He nodded. "But it's okay I'll just wait 'til tomorrow." Mitsukuni grinned at me before he skipped along side me.
I shook off my blush. "Hey, your favorite color is pink right?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
I gave a casual shrug. "No reason."
"Yes there is."
"...no there's not."
"Your lying to me K-chan."
"I have no idea what your talking about." I avoided his eyes.
"Why aren't you looking at me then?"
"...because your beauty shines too bright?"
"K-chan."
"Mitsukuni."
"K-chan if your don't tell me I'll find a way."
"And I'll poke you behind your ear."
His ears began to turn red. "K-chan." He groaned.
I smiled. It was nice to see him on the blushing side for once. "I've finally found your weakness." I declared. Well besides sweets anyway. This was something more personal and I was the only one to know about it. At least I hoped I was.
"Well, I got your's too!" He said.
I turned to him feeling a bit hurt. "My fear of the...dark?"
His eyes widened. "No, no! Not that. I would never use that against you K-chan."
I was quiet a moment. "So you know...another one of my weaknesses?"
He gave a proud, but somehow mischievous smile. "Mmhm!"
I felt happy that he said this, but then again it left me wondering, what is it? "Oh really?"
He gave me an innocent look. "Yeah, but I'd like to test it."
I felt nervous all of a sudden and backed away. "No I'm fine without knowing."
"I think you already know." He said with a grin.
"Nope, not a clue." I look down at my nonexistent watch. "Wow! Would you look at the time? I should be getting home!"
He tilted his head. "Really?"
"Yep, bye." I said as he walked toward me slowly and I turned on my heel as I bolted down the hall.
"K-chan come back!"
"No thanks!" I ran out the building and saw Mori walking toward me. I was wondering when he would show up. "Mori, quick! Get your cousin!"
"Hm?" He said. I paled when I saw him running out of the building after me.
"Mori save me, he's trying to attack me!" I said. Which he was but not in the sense that would normally occur.
The tall boy paused for a moment, but nodded. Without another word I ran out of the school gate and didn't stop until I got home.
I ran inside and my aunt was sitting at the table. I blinked at her and she stared back at me.
"What were you running for?"
"...Nothing illegal." I answer.
She shrugged. "Okay."
I sighed and mentally hit myself when I reached my room. I realized that I was going to see him tomorrow. And he seemed to have figured out another way to tease me.
Mitsukuni was my weakness.
Review or nah?
