I reached my arms up and stretched long and hard with a yawn. I sighed with content and layed back down in the warm grass. I looked around as I watched the people of my village scramble to decorate. I sighed and looked up at the sky. It was a clear bright blue day.

"Naruto!" I looked over to see Hinata waving to me from a distance. I got up and jumped to my feet and jogged over towards her.

"Hey." I said with a smile.

"H-Hey." She blushed and I couldnt stop the smile of blooming on my face.

"Are you ready to get going?" I asked.

"Yes!" I wrapped my arm around her and we were off. After some time and after we had walked a few blocks she turned and looked at me. "What is wrong?" She asked me. I looked down at her perfect face.

"Nothing." I said, "Why would you say something was wrong?"

"Because you dont look excited to go to the fair."

"Its not that its just..."

"You use to love the fouth of July." Hinata said, "The huge celerbration of when our village became a place to call home. It was your favorite time of the year."

"Yeah, it was...it was also Sakuras." I sighed.

"Oh..." Hinata said. I knew she couldnt remember her and Sakura growing close, I guess it is for the best really.

"She was here with us last year." I said, "Her and Kakashi were together at that time, it was before she left to go fight for the sand village, which was a trap the reapers just wanted her out of the way so they could attack us."

"Was it fun?" Hinata asked, "With her there?" Hinata asked and my brain went into a blur as it dug back into its memory to remember the day.

"Sakura!" I called out. "Sakura!" I smiled seeing her turn and look at me.

"Yes?" She asked.

"What are you doing?"

"I am going to the fair." She said.

"Really!?" I asked jumping up. "Great! I was going to ask if you wanted to go with me and Hinata!"

"I would love too."

"Where is Kakashi?"

"He said he would meet me at the fair."

"I will walk with you." I said making Sakura smile at me which made my heart feel full and happy. Sakura and I walked through the busy street of our home. She was looking at all of the decotations. She loved this time, even more than Christmas. I smiled and jogged over and bought a few glow necklaces and glasses. After I paid the guy I put them over my eyes and I turned around holding it out for Sakura. Maybe this wasnt her thing I thought. She was the commander of an army, why would she ware silly holiday glasses? But to my amazement she took them and placed them on her face. She looked up at me and smiled.

"How do I look?" She asked.

"Awesome." I said, I couldnt rip away the smile that was on my face. "You look awesome." I put the extra three in my pocket and walked back over to Sakura to start our walk to the training grounds where everyone was gathering. I couldnt wait for all the fair food and the fun rides! I super couldnt wait until night, I loved the three days of fireworks most. The next day was always better than the last! I was practally exploding with excitment once we got into the training grounds and I saw all of the rides and food and the people!

"Well what do you want to do first?" She asked me. I could not make up my mind! "How about that?" She asked pointing towards the twister.

"Yes!" I said jumping up and down. "Come on lets go get in line!" I said grabbing her arm and began running with her close behind me. We jumped onto the ride quick and we took our seats in the front row. I looked over see seeing Sakura smile as the chest gaurd locked in front of us and soon the ride began to rock. I was laughing like a goof as the ride speed up faster and faster. The ride went round and round and we got a front row view of the entire fair. It was truly a breathing sight. The sun was starting to lay down for the night so the lights were starting to ligth up all around us. I laughing harder and held my hands up and we began to fall downward. I opened my eyes to see Kakashi, Hinata and Sasuke watching us. They were standing there waiting for the ride to be over. I waved to Hinata and called out her name. I saw from the corner of my eye Sakura waved at Kakashi. Everything was perfect. I hopped of the ride and ran to Hinata asking her which ride we should go on next. I was jumping around like a hyper kid on a sugar rush. I turned to see Sakura walking up to us. Kakashi smiled as he wrapped an arm around her and asked if she was having fun.

"I am." She said looking up at him. I looked over at Sasuke who had his mask on watching the two.

"Hey, uh...Sasuke. Come on lets ride the rocket next!" I yelled running over towards him. "Hinata doesnt like to go on rides that go upside down. Come on it with me please!" I begged.

"Why cant Sakura?" Sasuke asked annoyed of me already. He was hurting, watching the women he loved being held by another man.

"She is still injured." Kakashi reminded me. "There are a few rides she can not go on. Tsunade's orders."

"Sakura cant!" I whinned.

"Fine." He grumpt, "Lets go."

"Sakura!" I turned seeing the three start to walk away.

"We are going to get something to eat." Hinata said.

"Your going to eat without me!?" I cried.

"You can join us right after your ride is over." Sakura said turning around with a smile.

"Ok!" I said as I turned and grabbed Sasuke who looked like he just had his breathe ripped away from him by taking just one look at Sakura.

"Bet I can beat you there!" I yelled hitting Sasukes chest as I broke out into a jog. I could hear sasuke as he jumped onto my heels I laughed at his face. I had to get him away from Kakashi and Sakura some how. I sighed it was going to be tricky keeping everyone happy. I had to make sure Sasuke was ok being around Kakashi with Sakura. It was always so hard because he can somehow hide everything he is feeling so well and I never know what is going on in that head of his. Today was going to be a guessing game for sure. Ugh, I hate guessing games I suck at them I have the worst luck!

The rest of the day was amazing. It was perfect, nothing could have made this warm day any better. Well...maybe more food but other than that it was great! Night finally fell onto us and we were on the hill we were all laying on a blanket waiting for the fireworks.

"Sakura would havent been at one of these in a long time." Hinata smiled.

"You are right." Sakura nodded. She was leaning against Kakashi his chin was onto of her head and the two of them looked so relaxed and so happy and I just felt so happy for them. God I am super emotional today. I looked over just jumped a little seeing Sauske glaring at Kakashi, he was glaring at his hand, which was sliding up and down her arm. Sakuras eyes were closed for a brief moment as she enjoyed the sensation. I looked over hearing a light banging sound. Then the sky lit up in a spactacular show of lights. I wrapped my arm around Hinata and brought her close to me as more and more fireworks shot up into the air, lighting up the night with beautiful colors. I looked back to see the reflection of fireworks in Sakuras eyes and as I did all of the warmth I had been high on all day long evaptorated. I looked at her. Her face was frozen and her eyes were wide. I turned around more as I looked in the expression of utter fear that plastered onto her face.

"Sakura?" I asked worried. But she wasnt here, she was off somewhere else with the part of her that is still trapped in battle. She has been sitting here while we thought she was enjoying the show but in reality she has been fighting. "Sakura." I said as I placed my hand on her knee she jumped, she pressed the rest of her body up against Kakashi and this made Sasuke and Hinata turn to look at her. Kakashi looked down.

"Sakura?" He asked, he leaned over to look at her face. But it was still frozen, she was looking forward at me but she wasnt looking at me, she was still fighting for life even though she was home.

The loudest firework went off and it forced Sakura onto her feet. She vanished a second after that leaving us all alone to wonder what the fuck? I jumped up with a curse.

"I shouldnt have been so stupid!" I yelled at myself as I ran towards our apartment building. Kakashi jumped down to my side.

"Naruto. What is going on?"

"Sakuras PTSD."

"Her what?" Sasuke asked as he jumped onto my other side.

"Her PTSD. Come on guys, she has been in hundreds of battles. More an any of us have ever been in and she has seen so much more fucked up shit than any of us have." I snapped.

"The fireworks must have triggered it." Hinata said from behind me.

"I didnt know Sakura had-"

"She never ever told Carver or Raiden." I cut Sasuke off.

"Fuck." Sasuke swore. We all rushed towards the apartment building. Kakashi was the first one through the door. We looked around for her. We ran into the bed room and there she was. Heer back was to us, her hand was on the wall and she was leaning forward panting.

"Sakura." Kakashi whispered as he rushed forward and wrapped his arms around her. He shouldnt have done that she whipped around so quickly she ended up slamming him up against the wall and pinned him there with his arm.

"Kakashi." She breathed. "I-"

"Its fine." He said as she let him go he pulled her close.

"Sakura!" I said. "I am so sorry! I should have-"

"Its fine." She said. "Im sorry I ruined the night." She said.

"You didnt ruin the night." Hinata said. "Sakura you are our friend and we want you to be happy."

"You guys go back to the fireworks." She smiled as she pulled away from Kakashi.

"Are you going to be ok?" Sasuke asked.

"Yeah, I just...I cant go." She said.

"Neither will we." Hinata said as she wrapped both her arms around Sakuras one. "We will stay here and have a movie night." Hinata smiled and I smiled, seeing the two of them getting so close.

"You dont have to-"

"We want too." I said cutting Sakura off. "I will get the blankets." I said turning around and walking out of the room to move the couch to give us room to lay on the floor. Sasuke and Hinata came out to help me while Kakashi made sure Sakura was fine. We had everything set up and ready. We had junk food and soda laying out and a movie ready to go. I looked up to see Sakura and Kakashi walk out. She went into the kitchen to grab a glass, she was moving quickly. Her hands a tad bit shaky. Kakashi nodded to Sasuke, telling us she was fine. I picked up a soda can and walked over to her.

"Here." I said she looked up at me and then looked at the can.

"Thanks." She said taking it from my hand.

"Thirsty?" I asked with a slight smile as she started to chug the can. She didnt say anything. She was about to walk away but I grabbed her hand, seeing the hardness of her eyes.

"No." She said.

"Then why drink a whole can of-"

"Because..." She said. She was so held back. Why?

"Because?" I asked.

"Because I can taste gun powder." She whispered .

"Gun powder?" Hinata asked. Kakashi walked over to her and pulled her close and tight.

"You are safe here." He whispered in her ear. "Come on, lets all lay down." We all pilled around the tv. Kakashi and Sakura were laying next to Hinata and myself. Sasuke was on the couch. It was nice, I will admit it was a lot better than being outside. Hinata fell asleep in my arms quickly and so did Sakura, her head was resting on Kakashis chest. Sasuke was looking up at the celing ignoring the movie.

"Sasuke?" I asked, "Are you ok?"

"Gun powder." He said, "Why would she taste gun powder?"

"It is the PTSD." Kakashi said. He looked over at me. "The gun power, from her gun she would use in battle. When an episode of PTSD is triggered the person who is having it can hear, taste, smell even see the battle field they were fighting on."

"Thats...Thats horrible." I whispered looking at the pink haired beauty asleep on Kakashis chest.

"Naruto...Naruto?" I snapped and looked around. I saw a confused Hinata looking at me worried.

"What?"

"You spaced out." She said.

"O-Oh." I said, "Im sorry." I laughed as I rubbed the back of my head, "What was the question again?"

"I asked if it was fun with Sakura being here?" She said and I looked at her for a long moment.

"Yeah...It was a lot of fun." I smiled at her as I wrapped my arm around her neck. "Lets go, we are late meeting up with the others."

The night was good. It was nice riding rides with my girlfriend and eating a bunch of junk food. But deep down inside me, my heart was heavy. My best friend wasnt here. I didnt even know where she was. I didnt know if she was ok or not. She could be dead and I could go my whole life never knowing the truth. These thoughts haunted me. The thoughts hurt and I didnt know what to do, I lost sleep and I didnt feel like eating anymore. I didnt really feel the warmth of the sun on my face anymore, it was just light blinding my eyes and colors lost their color. I forced my laugh or my smile and I hated it, I felt cold all of the time. The coldness seeped into my bones and refused to leave and I hated it with such a passion but I didnt know how to get rid of it and it angered me. I sighed as I looked around yawning.

I didnt see it coming. I couldnt. How could I? They came so quick and so quite. No one was expecting it. Not with her out there. I watched as my own started to drop like flies out of freaking no where. I pulled out a kunai and looked around trying to find the person shooting kunai's into a large crowd full of unarmed men, women and childred. Hinata reacted first and started to pull people out of the training grounds and into the tunnels under our village. Pride filled me seeing this in her. I felt Sasuke jump behind me and have my back. We looked around to see Reapers dropping from the freaking sky.

"Call the black ops!" I yelled out, how did they get this far into the village with no one seeing them and setting off our alarms? The block ops were more trained to take on the reapers because of Sakuras training program. I narrowed my eyes and started to defend my village. It was another attack on my village and this time, we didnt have Sakura in our back pocket. The reapers took people down quickly. They were fast and swift. They cut my skin with a few minents of the battle and I couldnt heal myself. I looked up at the masked man in front of me who was laughing once he saw that I saw I couldnt heal myself.

"What the hell are you laughing at?" I growled as I attacked him. I took him out with in twenty minents and I turned around two see four more reapers looking at me with a twisted smile. I was still inside the training grounds, but I knew the entire village was being attacked, I could hear small explosions through out the leaf village. After some time I felt Sasuke jump by my side. I glanced at him to see a cut on his arm and his blood was dripping down his left arm.

"You ok?"

"Theres no way these guys are human." He muttered at their speed. I looked at his red eyes. Was he having trouble tracking their moves? If he couldnt copy them then what hope does that give the rest of us? How fucked are we? My father and mother are out on a mission. I know Itachi was sent out last week and I dont think he has returned yet. Half of our army and black ops team were out of the village right now. We were short handed and now they attack?! Did they have an inside mole or something? I growled annoyed as I kicked a reaper away getting annoyed. I felt the nine-tails mode kick in. I felt pissed off already having to use this. I should be strong enough to take these guys on without it! But I wasnt. While fighting a part of my brain was pulled away lost in though, dangours and stupid I know. I was thinking about Sakura, the final form of her eyes are those sparking Christmas light eyes. She always have to have them active when fighting a massive group of reapers. So maybe me using my sage mode was ok? Why did I need to feel like I needed Sakuras permission to use sage mode while fighting reapers? Maybe I just wanted to feel like I was just as strong as she was, but I knew I wasn't. If it came down to it Sakura would probably win. I accepted this a long time ago so why was I thinking of it now? Weird. I jumped away from a shadow jutsu and responded with a kunai, I slammed it into the guys chest and he went down with a cry. I sighed and jumped up blocked three more reapers from killing me.

I had a dripping feeling that we were so beyond fucked.
