Strengthening The Chain: Part 3
The helicarrier erupted into chaos in a matter of minutes after the explosion. Droids and possessed agents stormed through the corridors, taking out anyone they came across. Obi-wan rounded up the group of unoccupied heroes. The met in an empty meeting room to devise a plan. "Ok, Plo and Kit, you guys defend the bridge. Anakin, Ahsoka and I will bottleneck the entrance they're coming through. The rest of you pair up, take some troops and hold the corridors."
Obi-wan instructed. "May the Force be with you." He said. As everyone made their way to their respective assignments Jett approached Obi-wan. "Where is Master Marek?" He asked curiously. "He went the opposite direction as me. Said he had to 'handle something.'" He replied. "Well then where should I go?"
"He can come with me." Spoke a man from the corridor outside the room. It was Professor Dumbledore. "Professor, I thought you returned to Hogwarts." Obi-wan inquired. "I received an owl. If Voldemort is with this convoy, I must be the one to handle him. I saw Marek as I made my way here. It appeared he was heading to the detention cell of the god, Loki." The elderly man informed. "I have a feeling Voldemort is near that area."
"Then lets go." Jett said as the trio exited the room. "I need to assist Anakin and Ahsoka. Good luck finding Marek." Obi-wan said before departing the other way. "It seems its just us then." Dumbledore said.
Revan and Voldemort had made their way to Loki's cell. When they arrived Loki was free and the cell gone. The body of a freshly deceased man lay near the entrance. "Well, it seems you've had some fun." Revan spoke to Loki. "Much. Now, lets go." As Loki moved to the door, Voldemort waved his wand and they shut. "What's going on here?" Loki asked suspiciously. "While you were gone, Revan and I decided, for the sake of the plan, that only two can lead." Voldemort said evilly, "And, unfortunately, you didn't make the cut." Loki looked shocked. But before he was able to react, Voldemort sent a curse to his chest. Loki fell on to the sealed hatch. "Nothing personal. Actually, maybe a little something personal." Revan sneered before opening the hatch and letting Loki fall. He grinned and sealed the hatch. He and Voldemort turned to leave, but Marek spoke. "So, you just kill off your competition? Still? , it seems somethings never change, old friend." He said grudgingly. "Marek, my dear boy, how long its been. What, 16 years now. How have you been? As a matter of fact, how's Jett been?" Revan responded in a mocking tone. "Don't you dare talk about him." Marek spat. "Enough of this!" Voldemort yelled. "I don't care about your history. Stubefy!" He sent a jet of red light at Marek. It hit him square in the chest and he flew back. Voldemort and Revan turned to leave, but when the door opened Dumbledore stood there wand drawn. "Hello Tom." He said before waving his arm and sending them flying back. "You shouldn't have come here." The old wizard said darkly. Jett stood still. Voldemort regained his footing. "Today you die old man. Avada Kedavra!" He screamed. Dumbledore door reacted quickly be forcing Jett away and casting an opposing curse. The spells connected and spewed energy onto the surrounding floor. Voldemort grunted, then broke the connection. He grinned at Dumbledore and vanished. Suddenly a man came up behind them. "Alaric, my friend." Dumbledore greeted. "Voldemort." He said exasperated. "I've got him. At 114 years old, you shouldn't be chasing wizards. Fury needs you on the bridge." The man moved to the point where Voldemort vanished. "Voldemort may be gifted, but he still leaves Apparation scars." He touched the faint ripple in the air and vanished as well. "Go Professor." Jett said. The man apparated away. Revan stood, "Jett, dear boy. You've grown up." He commented. "How do you know my name?" Jett asked with a hint of worry. "You don't know me, but I know much of you." He gently grabbed Jett's face. "So much power, such a shame its being wasted by your master." Jett shoke his hand off. "What do you want?" He demanded. "Oh, my dear boy, its not what, but who. And that's you." Revan chuckled. "You have more potential than any other Jedi, even Master Yoda. But, as I've learned, the Jedi don't like what they don't understand." Jett contemplated the words he said. "Now, if I was your Master, I would show you how to tap into that power. There's still a chance for you to do such a thing, only if you pledge yourself to me." Revan concluded and held out his hand. Jett wanted to rebuff the offer, but he felt compelled to accept it, as if his better judgment was gone. He looked suddenly to Revan's left. Revan noticed this and turned as well. "Get away from my son." Marek commanded before punching the Sith in the jaw. Even with a mask on Revan felt the pain of Marek's right fist. He fell to the ground. Jett was oblivious to this as he was still taking in what Marek said. "Master," he started, but he was cut off as Revan rebounded and ignited his red-bladed lightsaber. Marek drew his in turn, but Revan didn't go for him. Instead, he moved to Jett. Jett froze. Before the saber made contact with his body Marek's white blade stopped it. "Jett! Get back." He ordered the padawan. "Don't tell me, you didn't tell him you are his father?" Revan mocked. "You let him live his entire life without telling him that important fact. You impress me, Marek." He taunted. Their blades clashed, the searing energy repelling each other. "Then again, you've always kept secrets. Have you even told him about our history?" He continued. "Enough!" Marek yelled. "You're right. Enough!" Revan replied. He disengaged the saber lock and flung Marek to the wall. He fell to the floor. "Now, we end this story." Revan spoke grimly. "Goodbye, my friend." He raised his saber, ready to strike Marek down. He swung down. "No!" Jett yelled before stopping the blade with his own. "Foolish boy!" Jett moved Revan's lightsber away from Marek's face. He pushed the Sith Lord away with the force. He helped Marek to his feet. "Good to see you're back in reality."
"Is it true? What you two are saying?" Marek looked into Jett's eyes, "Yes, it's true. And I'm sorry I never told you but we can discuss this later." He said as Revan regained his footing. Marek and Jett ignited their sabers and got into a fighting stance, ready for Revan's onslaught. "Hmm." He darkly chuckled, "You've won this day Marek but trust me, you will not win the next." And with that he vanished in a cloud of smoke.
