Nope, still don't own.

''… then you just add the whip cream on top, and voila!'' Blaine says as he finishes writing down the recipe for Carole.

''Thank you, honey.'' She says as she sits down across from Blaine with a fresh cup of coffee.

A moment of silence passes while they each take a sip of their respective drinks, and Carole, once again, furrows her brow at Blaine's drink choice. She knows full well that they are part of two completely different generations, but she just can't fathom how any young man would choose Spicy V8 Tomato Juice over coffee. Her own son, who has never even tasted real coffee without all the additives, would choose the thin brown liquid in a heartbeat.

She shakes these thoughts from her head as she watches Blaine crane his neck to see Kurt in the living room, and she asks, ''So you and Kurt?''

A deep red covers Blaine's cheeks as he whips his head back around to face Carole so quickly that she's amazed it didn't fly off his neck.

''Me and Kurt what?'' He asks, a strange edge in his voice, and a blush still covering his cheeks.

''Well, you certainly seem to enjoy each other's company.'' Carole responds with a smirk and raised eyebrows.

''Oh,'' Blaine says, finally understanding her train of thought, ''No, Kurt and I are just friends.''

''But you would like to be more.'' It's said as a statement, not a question.

''No! Well, maybe. I'm not really sure, things are kind of complicated right now.''

''How so?'' Carole asks, head cocked slightly to the side.

''Well, first off, I'm living with him right now. Without him, I'd still be on the streets.'' Blaine says.

''How is that a complication?''

Blaine pauses, trying to come up with the right phrasing to voice his thoughts. ''What if I don't really have feelings for him? What if my feelings only stem from everything he's done for me?'' He finally confides.

Carole smiles, and says, ''Ah, so you do have feelings for him then?''

Blaine shrugs. ''I guess, but what if they're not real?''

''Does Kurt make you happy?''

A warm feeling flutters in Blaine's chest as he thinks of all the feelings Kurt's presence invokes in him. ''Yes, immensely so. He's so great with reminding that I'm worth helping, and that I'm not just some freeloader. And his smiles really great, too. Not to mention his eyes. A lot of blue eyes are shallow, but Kurt's, no, Kurt's eyes are as warm as the sun, but are the color of an icicle. You can practically read his mind by just looking i them, but I always forget what exactly I'm looking for because I get sucked into those beautiful swirls of blue and grey.'' He stops talking, and a smile overtakes his features as he thinks of Kurt.

A few moments of silence pass as Carole takes in the answer, and Blaine revels in his own realization.

''Blaine, honey?'' She finally ask, breaking the content silence.

''Hmm?'' Blaine questions as he looks at Carole, still with a smile on his face from his thoughts.

''Are your feelings for Kurt real?''

Blaine simply smiles as he takes another sip of his tomato juice.

Carole nods, and stands up to put her dishes in the sink before leaving Blaine in the kitchen alone with his new revelation.

After a heartfelt goodbye and promises to meet up for lunch the next day, Carole and Burt finally leave the apartment to head back to their hotel.

Once the door is safely closed behind the older couple, Kurt turns around to see Blaine in the kitchen washing the remaining dishes.

''You don't have to do that.'' Kurt says as he walks over to Blaine.

''It's ok, I don't mind, but you can help me dry if you want.'' Blaine says, and offers Kurt a dry dish towel. Kurt accepts, and together the two efficiently get the job done.

''Do you need help putting the food away?'' Blaine asks after all the dishes have been returned to their rightful place in the cabinets.

Kurt shakes his head, and says, ''No, I've got it.''

Blaine hovers in the entrance way of the kitchen for a few seconds longer before telling Kurt that he's off to bed. Kurt just nods distractedly as he dumps the bowel of sweet potatoes into a Tupperware container, his mind on other things. Specifically the boy who just left.

Kurt finishes his task quickly, and gets ready for bed in record time. However, no matter how exhausted he is or how hard he tries, he can't seem to fall asleep. Unbeknownst to him, though, is that the curly haired boy in the room across from his is in quite the same predicament. Each having the same problem as thoughts of the other keep them awake and thinking.

After an hour of tossing and turning, each boy jerks the covers off, gets out of bed, and open their door at the same time. Each boy looks at the other, stunned, and a silence settles over the pair as they gaze imploringly into the other's eyes.

Finally, Kurt breaks the silence with a soft, ''Hey, can I talk to you?''

Blaine's nod is the only answer Kurt needs before he walks over the younger boy, and takes his hand to lead him to the couch, flipping on lights as they go.

Once Blaine is seated on the couch with his full attention on Kurt, the older man takes a deep breath before launching into his not-so-well-thought-out speech.

''Blaine…''

Meanwhile, Carole and Burt are both settling down into their large, comfortable bed at the hotel.

''Did you tell Kurt to let Blaine know how he feels?'' Carole asks her husband.

''Of course I did. How did you know anyway?'' Burt asks.

''The same way you knew, the way they were looking at each other.''

Burt nods before asking, ''Did you talk to Blaine about his feelings?''

''Yes, and I'm certain he feels the same way as Kurt, though he didn't say in as many words. The look on his face was enough.''

''I hope they work out. I really do like Blaine, he's a good kid.'' Burt says.

''Yeah, he's very sweet, and absolutely perfect for Kurt. Good night, dear.''

''Night.''

Well, that's it folks! This chapter is setting up for the next one, and I'm sure you guys know what it's going to be about ;)

Anyways, up until the last chapter, I kinda had no idea where this story was going, so I have some very important questions for you guys. Is the story flowing well? Is the pace ok?

I really don't plan out anything before I write it, so I hope that's not reflected in the story.

The faster you review, the faster I get the next chapter up. (hint hint)
