Chapter 13

Jacob's P.O.V.

I was jogging around the perimeter when I heard the other guys' excitement through the connection.

'What are you guys excited about?'

'Something that doesn't involve you Black.'

I growled at Brady, 'You don't know what involves me or not.'

'We know, Sam does though and he doesn't think you need to know yet.'

'KNOW WHAT?'

Everybody just shook their head at me mentally, 'We aren't allowed to tell you. Alpha's orders.'

I glared at the two wolves standing beside me before taking off deeper into the forest. I ran until I was passed the treaty line, not caring. I knew I wasn't going to get in trouble anyways, the leeches didn't care anymore after Bella's wanting to be in my life even after she picked him. I laughed bitterly, oh how I was so stupid thinking I ever had a chance. Hell! I didn't even need her chance when Maddie was around. If I could go back in time, I would redo that whole day over again. Then maybe I wouldn't have lost her and maybe she would've given me a chance. I shook my head and tried to bring my mind back to reality.

"Jacob! What are you doing here?" I looked up to see Bella and Edward. The two were standing on a tree branch diagonally across from me.

I shrugged, 'Just trying to get my mind off something.' I let Edward translate to Bella before nodding at them and continuing on my way. I continued throughout the forest until it was dawn. I jogged back to my place to get some sleep and to check in with my dad when I'm met with a sight that thinking I was dreaming.

"Maddie?!" My jaw dropped at her, "Am I dreaming? Please tell me I'm not dreaming."

She giggled. She fucking giggled at me. "Hi Jake!"

Sam and Paul turned to her with wide eyes, "You remember him?"

"Yeah! Why? Am I not supposed to?"

"No, it's just you two exchanged some kind words last time you saw each other."

"Oh, I don't understand."

"Never mind," Paul shook his head before pulling my out. "She has amnesia. She doesn't remember anything at all except my name and unfortunately your's. We brought her over here to maybe spark a memory, but I guess we got you instead."

I flinched at his harsh tone, expressing how much he didn't like the idea, "Don't take advantage of her or I swear to god to you Black. Count yourself lucky that you got a second chance, but you have to tell her what you did before."

I put my head in my hands, "Do I have to tell her? What if she ends up hating me?"

Paul shrugged, "Then she hates you and I have no problem with that."

I groaned, but nodded in understanding, "Okay, I'll talk to her now."

"Also, she's going to be staying at the Cullen's because we have no other place to keep her in sight so can you go over first and keep the leech lover at bay, I really want to see Maddie go after her, but I don't want a war right now."

I muttered an 'okay' before going back inside to see Maddie talking to my dad, smiling happily. "Jake, who knew your dad was so nice! He really makes a girl feel appreciated."

My dad chuckled, "Alright kiddo, why don't you go back to Jacob. I'm sure he can treat you better."

Even without my father voicing it, I heard the 'now' after the sentence. I nodded in reassurance to my dad before taking Maddie's hand and led her to my room. We both sat on my bed before I took a deep breath and started.

A/N: I know, another short chapter and I'm a day late, but hey, I updated! And thank you so, so much to Mrs. IssacLahey14 : From your user (which I didn't mess up, Fanfic kept tking out your name so this was the only way), I'm guessing you watch Teen Wolf? But anyways, I love Sharman and I really wish he comes back to Teen Wolf because it's just not the same with out him or Hoechlin, but your review made me noticed the small little things I never pay attention to so thank you for that and your compliment, it really got me motivated; and WolvesAlpha : Your user is cool too, way cooler than mine. Lol! But I'm really thankful for the review and you're so sweet! I've been in your position before with reading Fanfics and I still can't believe that it's happening to my own, but your review made me really happy to! And it's fine about the Insta thing, I'm just trying it right now and if it doesn't work out then all well. And your questions were good too, it's just a matter whether if Maddie's loss of memory has damaged her concept of her thoughts on Jacob.

Well I hope this chapter didn't suck and I'm still sorry that it's short. Also an important thing if you ever read these A/N's, I won't be writing in Maddie's P.O.V. anymore, just because what I plan will be revealed too early and I don't really want that to happen. Anyways, pray that I'll be back on my regular schedule of updating; Fridays- early Monday Mornings, LA time because time zones confuse me. Another reason is I quit basketball so a lot more time for writing. Also, I'm sorry that I haven't been thanking you all privately so I know you got the message for certain, but I find it more comforting to be thanking you in the A/N's because I find that it shows that the reviews actually do matter to me.

I love you guys and to my silent readers who don't follow/favorite/review, I don't care if you stay silent, all I ask for is for you to keep reading because in the end I mainly care about whether or not people read my works so thank you for all the views and for hitting a little over 8k views, it really means a lot to me.
