A/N- So it only took about 9 years or so, but here is another chapter to this story.

Chapter Fourteen: A Question is Asked

"It's beautiful, Nathan," Deb says as she hands the box back over to her son. "Are you sure this is what you really want to do?"

Nathan buckled his seat and sighed. Last night his world had changed. He found out that he was going to be a father. It was a weird thought. He is eighteen years old. His senior year of high school is over soon. His scholarships for college will start rolling in as well. He had a lot on his plate. He had never believed he would find the one person that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and never would he believed that this woman would already have a child. He loved Haley with everything in him and he loved Andrea just as much. He was also going to love his baby.

"Yeah, this is what I want to do. They are my family mom and it's just getting bigger. I get it. We are young and chances are things won't work out, but who's to say that it can't. This is it."

Deb starts the car and smiles. Her son was doing the right thing. Hopefully, her husband will understand that. Deb drove out of her parking spot and mother and son made their way towards Haley's home.

-One's a Number, Three's Family-

It wasn't long after Dan left that there was a knock-on Haley's apartment door. Andrea had been put to bed after her bath. Haley places her school books on the table and gets up to answer the door. She is surprised to see who was on the other side. It was Nathan.

"What are you doing here?" Haley asks in curiosity. "If you came here to yell some more, I suggest that you come back tomorrow because Andrea is asleep."

"I didn't come here to yell," Nathan states as he walks through the door. He closes the door and watches as Haley goes back to the couch. "I'm sorry for how I reacted. But what you said was completely out of the blue. That was the last thing that I thought you were going to say."

"I don't know how many times that I can say that I am sorry. We used protection. I was on birth control. I don't know what happened, but that's where we are," Nathan moves to sit down next to Haley. "You have a decision to make. You need to decide if you are going to be a part of this family. I'm not getting an abortion. I didn't with Andrea and I'm not doing that to this baby," Haley says as she places her hand on her stomach. "I won't ask for anything if you decide that you can't do this, but just know that I love you and that Andrea loves you and we can make this work if you decide that you want us. It's going to be hard, but we can do it."

"When I pictured my future, I hadn't thought about this. I pictured making it to the NBA, having a big house and a wife. I would be in my second year in the NBA before having kids. Everything would be going great by then. I'd have a shoe contract and I'd be in video games and everything else that may entail," Nathan digs into his pocket and pulls out a box. "When I left yesterday, I thought that the future that I pictured for myself was over, but I was wrong. The timing is just different. I still see myself being the NBA and having the house and the contracts and everything else. I want this Haley. Is it all out of order? Absolutely. Do I love you? Absolutely. You are right. We can do this, but I just have one question for you," Nathan opens the box and looks at Haley. There are tears in her eyes. "Will you be my wife?"

"Yes," Haley sniffles. "Of course."

Nathan grins and puts the ring on Haley's finger and brings her into a hug. Haley crawls into his lap and they snuggle together.

"I love you," Nathan whispers. "I don't have all the answers, but this can work. We just have to figure it all out."

"I know," Haley whispers. "We will figure it all out for sure. It's just that you were supposed to do something today and it made a little girl very upset."

"Oh man," Nathan whispers. "Andi and I were supposed to play basketball. Man, I screwed up. I'll make it up to her, tomorrow."

Haley yawns and gets off of Nathan. She holds out her hand. "Let's go to bed."

Nathan smiles and nods his head. He had a lot of making up to do tomorrow.

-One's a Number, Three's Family-

Nathan woke up early the next morning. He placed a kiss on his fiancé's forehead. He quickly wrote a note and made his way into Andrea's bedroom. The four-year-old was sprawled out in her bed. Nathan kneeled down next to her bed and softly patted her shoulder.

"Andi, wake up," Nathan whispered. "We have things to do today."

Andrea slowly opened her eyes and grinned widely.

"Nathan!"

Her excitement went from 10 down to 1 when she realized what he missed out on yesterday. "I'm mad at you."

Nathan nods his head. "I know Andi, but I want to make that up to you. I figured we can go play basketball today and then maybe we can go see my parents. We have tons of stuff to do and so does your mommy."

Andrea nods her head. "I guess. But I have to get dressed, so you gotta leave."

Nathan chuckles and nods his head. "I will be waiting."

-One's a Number, Three's Family-

After waking up to Nathan's note, Haley decided that she needed the day to hang out with her friends. She had some news to report to them. It wasn't long until her living room was filled with her friends. Lucas and Peyton were sitting next to each other on the couch. Brooke and Jake were sitting on the stools in the kitchen. All were waiting to hear from Haley.

"There are some things that I need to say. The first thing I want to say is that I am pregnant."

Brooke had already known so she wasn't as shocked. Brooke had also told Jake so he wasn't surprised, but Lucas and Peyton were stunned.

"Oh my god Haley," Peyton murmured.

"What's the game plan?" Lucas asked not knowing how his brother took this particular piece of news.

"Well it shouldn't be a surprise if I tell you that I am keeping this baby."

Haley watched as all her friends nodded their heads. It was the obvious decision.

"At first, Nathan was a little shocked and he kind of took off, but we talked it through and we are going to figure it all out. Another thing that happened was that," Haley took the ring from her pocket and planted it right back on her finger. "Nathan asked me to marry him and I said yes."

Soon, Haley was gathered in a group hug and cheers could be heard even from outside the apartment.

-One's a Number, Three's Family-

On their day out, Nathan and Andrea had gone to the rivercourt to play basketball. They had gotten lunch at Karen's café and they were currently on the way to Nathan's parents' house. Nathan's parents didn't live far from Karen's café so they decided to walk.

"Andrea, there's something that I need to talk to you about."

"What is it?" Andi replies with a grin as she reaches for Nathan's hand.

Nathan squeezes the tiny hand in his.

"I asked your mommy to marry me. Do you know what that means?"

Andrea took a little bit to answer. "You are going to live happily ever after."

Nathan chuckles and nods his head. "Yeah, that's exactly right. I love your mommy and I love you and I want us to be a family. Is that okay with you?"

Andrea was silent for a while as her little brain got to thinking. Andrea stopped walking and Nathan turns to her.

"Does that mean you are going to be my daddy?"

Nathan kneels down next to Andi with a smile. "Yes. If that's okay."

Andrea smiles brightly and leaps into Nathan's arms.

"I love you, daddy."

A tear falls from Nathan's eye.

"I love you, too, Andrea. I love you, too."

A/N- So this story was never planned to be very long. I am not sure how long this will get, but I have a few ideas on where this goes. I picture the remainder of this story to have mini-glimpses into their lives. I plan to have the mini glimpses be in order. It may just make this story easier for me to write (I can even write out of order if I get stuck at some point). I do know that I will not update this story again until everything has been written out, but don't fret, I am writing again, finally.

If there is anything that you want to see in their lives just leave it in the comments and I will be sure to write them in (even if it's something completely crazy).
