(AN) I'm writing this author's note shorter than usual because I'm tired. The update was slow because I had a problem with my laptop earlier. It's here now and that's what important! Also, I LOVED the Ridonculous Race! Best season EVER! Surely it's the start of Total Drama's golden era, right? I'm pleased with the final two!
(Disclaimers) I do not own Total Drama or any of their characters.
Punching, growling, roaring, kicking and biting were some of the many sounds the fight in progress was producing.
Watching them from afar deep in the deadly jungle, Fang, along with several monster geese, a hairless squirrel, a three-eyed bear and Twilight-loving beavers had been watching the fight from the start. Every other moment, the mutants cringed at the sight.
"This isn't going too well," a beaver muttered.
"You're certain this is part of your plan?" another beaver asked Fang, who lowered the binoculars.
Fang nodded. "Yes. While the three of 'em fight against the girl, the fourth will take Scott and bring him to me."
"And that's when you'll eat him?" a male monster goose said.
Fang gave him a smirk and nodded. The rest of the mutants watched Eva slamming the monster goose with the broken wing onto another.
The female squirrel smirked. "Craig owed me twenty bucks."
A female monster goose shook her head. "I told him not to fight that gorilla! His wing still needs recovery!"
"Phillip had better get Scott before that...thing gets him," the bear said.
CHOMP!
A shrill scream echoed across the forest. Even Fang looked uncomfortable at the sight before him.
"Oh! That's gonna leave a mark!" a beaver shouted.
"Yeah, for Craig," his companion said.
The female monster goose glared at Fang. "If my eggs get taken, it'll be your fault!"
"The plan will work. Trust me," Fang said.
"And if it doesn't?" she scowled.
She and Fang started arguing. The squirrel stopped rolling her eyes when she saw the camera. She stared at it and became eerily calm. "There's a camera pointing at us," she said.
The mutants turned and saw the cameraman, who started trembling and backing away. The mutants exchanged looks. Fang smirked and pointed at the cameraman. A monster goose and the bear grinned and then chased the cameraman. The camera had turned to face forward. The young cameraman breathed audibly as he was running for his life. He turned back once and the last thing he and the camera saw was a bear jumping toward them, extending his claws and baring his teeth. The cameraman screamed before the camera only showed the bear's mouth.
It went to static and then showed a please stand by with a freeze frame of Chef holding up a hammer. All the while a long beep remained.
Eva spat out feathers before smirking at the beaten monster geese. The creatures had bruises, limbs snapped in different directions and one of them had a bite mark on its wing. They all groaned in harmony. She was picking up the eggs when she heard her teammate's scream. She turned to see a flailing Scott being lifted away by another monster goose.
Her eyes widened as she dropped her find, scattering the eggs on the ground. She grabbed an injured monster goose and started spinning it around like she was doing the hammer throw. She unleashed her grip on the screaming goose. Scott was screaming and flailing to escape from the talons' grip when he heard a different scream. He and the monster goose turned their heads.
BAM!
Scott was screaming and flailing his arms with both monster geese falling above him. He hit the ground. "Ow!" he shouted before the monster geese crashed on top of him. "ARGH!"
Eva pushed off the nest with the eggs still in and then jumped into the falling nest. The nest had cushioned Eva and the eggs' fall. She ran over to the clutter of injured bodies with Scott's legs sticking out. She gripped his legs, pulled him out and dumped him into the nest. She lifted the nest above her head and started running.
The mutants had witnessed Fang's plan backfired before them. They turned to the female monster goose and Fang. Both were narrowing their eyes, popping out veins and flaring their nostrils for different reasons.
"MY EGGS! THAT GORILLA IS TAKING MY EGGS!" The female monster goose snapped her head at Fang. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" She was about to fly off to get back her eggs when Fang gripped her tail.
"I'm not letting you get yourself ripped apart," Fang said, pulling the goose back to the ground. "I'll get your eggs back." He turned to the others. "The rest of you need to get the others and take them back underground for medical attention."
"What about you?" the bear asked.
"Like I said, I'm going to get Wilma's eggs back. Then I'm gonna settle the score with Scott." Fang narrowed his eyes.
Confessional: There are three eggs! Exeggutor has been encountered!
Scott: (Teetering with bruises on his body) I am SO glad she's in my alliance… (He flopped to the wall and banged his head)
Eva: I WAS considering leaving Scott to become mutant food - less competition to deal with. But he's my ally and I need to give him a reason to not backstab me. Saving his butt should provide me safety for a little while.
Gwen, Trent and "Mike" were walking through the mutant jungle together. They watched two rattlesnake seagulls fly past. They then saw the maggot from last season's runway challenge, still in its costume. Gwen noticed a three-eyed frog to her right. It ribbited and in a flash, it was gone.
Gwen blinked and then looked at "Mike". "How did you manage to survive the entire season, let alone a night in the Fun Zone with the mutants?"
Mal coughed to clear his throat to make Mike's voice sound more convincing. "It was craptacular at first. We couldn't sleep much when we thought of the mutants that could devour us in our sleep. But if you stay out of their way and don't make enemies like Scott did, it's easier to adapt."
Confessional: Let's get rich people to adapt THIS!
Mal: When I was trapped in my mind, I could hear and see everything Mike did. (Smirks) I can use it to my advantage to make it easier for others to think I'm Mike. By the time they know who I am, it'll be the last thing they'll ever know.
Gwen: Duncan had told me about Mal before when he was talking about his time in Juvie. I promised him that I would keep an eye on Mike. He might be confusing him for someone else. But… a lot of more than crappy things had have happened and no one knows who did it. And I do think there's something a bit… off about him.
Trent looked at Gwen. "So… Courtney's on our team. How are you feeling?"
"I was quite relieved, actually," Gwen said. "It gives me more time to patch things up with her."
Trent raised a brow at her. "You're going to talk to her?"
"I wanna make sure she'll be okay to approach. I don't want to be on the receiving end of her "Evil Gwen Rant."
Trent nodded in agreement. However, there was something about Gwen and Courtney that had been bothering him. He looked at Gwen. "Hey, why did-"
"There's a lake up ahead!" "Mike" said, pointing ahead of him.
Trent and Gwen noticed a small lake in front of them. The heroes looked around the area.
"You guys see any eggs?" Gwen asked her teammates.
Trent shrugged. "I don't see anything." A large tentacle rose from the lake and wrapped around the musician's legs. He looked at his teammates. "BUT NOW I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He screamed as he dragged down underwater.
"Trent!" Gwen shouted.
Before they could do anything to help their teammate, two more tentacles rose and wrapped around Gwen and "Mike". They screamed as they too were dragged into the water. Trent punched the tentacles in hope of escaping, but to no avail. Gwen felt a hard object brush against her right hand. Without thinking, she grabbed it and bashed against the tentacles. Mal narrowed his eyes, growled and bit the tentacles. Feeling the gap-tooth piercing through its skin, the mutant octopus screamed. The contestants shot out of the water and screamed as all three of them flew in different directions.
Gwen kept screaming until she hit the ground. "Oof!" She opened her eyes, looked at the object she was using to bash the octopus with and gasped. It was a large, pale aqua egg. She looked around the area and discovered she was back at the entrance. She got onto her feet and put the egg into the yellow basket. Triumphant music played.
"First egg goes to the Heroes!" Chris announced over the loudspeakers.
"Woohoo!" Gwen cheered, pumping her fist.
Eva was still running, holding a nest over her head, complete with dirt farmer, when she heard Chris. "You better get your butts in gear, vultures!" This caused the athlete to sprint and arrive at the basket. Gwen was shocked as Eva tipped Scott and three eggs into the red basket. The triumphant music played again.
"Unbelievable!" Chris said, grinning. "First time the villains come back with eggs, they're halfway through the challenge!"
Eva grabbed Scott from the basket, hoisted him onto her shoulders and started running. Gwen started running too when she realized something important.
"Hang on!" She stopped running and turned to Chris. "What's to stop the other team from taking eggs from our basket?"
"Integrity?" Chris guessed.
"So nothing," Eva muttered, walking back to the basket.
"I didn't make it a rule that they can't, so… I guess they can." Chris looked down, smirking.
Gwen and Eva looked at each other and exchanged glares for a moment. Gwen walked back to her team's basket and folded her arms.
Eva removed Scott from her shoulders and put him down next to the basket. "You stay, guard the basket," she told him before running off to get more eggs.
"Yes, ma'am…" Scott mumbled.
Brick and Jo were running with confident smiles spread across their faces. They just heard Chris's announcement that their team had gathered three eggs already.
"This is going great! We just need to find three more eggs and we'll win!" Brick said.
Looking ahead before him and Jo was a giant crab, pinching its claws. Brick jumped onto the shell while Jo slid under the crab. Brick somersaulted off and Jo reached the other side just as the crab snapped its claws at the empty space. He and Jo continued running.
"If we're lucky, our team could win the challenge before we find the eggs!" A smug smirk spread across her face. It was gone the second Jo saw the three-eyed bear running and roaring at them. "Watch out!" The bear swiped his claws when Brick dodged and Jo kicked it in the nuts. The bear roared in pain as he clutched his balls and fell to the side.
"It feels quite anti-climactic, though," Brick said as he and Jo continued running.
"You want this challenge to be impossible?" Jo turned to face Brick. "Are you not impressed by our higher-than-usual odds of dying?!" She glared at him.
Brick shook his head. "No! That's not what I meant! It's just I'm surprised that this challenge could be over before we know it." Two flying mountain goats appeared and swooped down, only for Brick and Jo to dodge and continue running. "Also, without collecting any eggs, someone else could get that special reward."
"Last time Chris offered a "special reward", he dragged Captain No-Brain here!" Jo gestured to the area.
"I pitied the mutants." Brick smirked.
Brick and Jo laughed. They then come across a two-headed bunny, who roared at them. The pair simultaneously punched the bunny's faces, knocking it to the ground.
Jo smirked at the unconscious monster. "Those freak monsters aren't as tough as I thought. They're nothing but a bunch of pussies!"
Then mutant gophers popped out of the ground, grabbing Jo and Brick's legs. The pair screamed as they were pulled into the dark.
Confessional: Ooo… she said the "P" word…
Jo: In hindsight, calling an army of flesh-eating messed-up monsters a bunch of pussies was pretty dumb on my part.
Duncan and Zoey popped out from behind a tree. Zoey shushed the delinquent. "Look, it's Larry!" She pointed to the sleeping enormous flytrap sitting in the dirt and clutching a seed-pod. "And he's got an egg!" She became confused. "Which means Larry's actually a Lorri?" She turned back to Duncan. "Wait here, when I get the flower, Larry'll-"
A disembodied scream echoed across the forest. "What the-" Duncan said, looking up.
The screaming was becoming louder and the source of the scream was getting closer. Hearing the upcoming scream, Larry awoke from its slumber only to be hit in the face with a screaming boy.
The giant plant slumped to the ground. A boy in an aqua shirt slid down Larry's face and hit the ground. A groan was heard afterward.
Realizing who had knocked Larry out, Zoey gasped. "Mike!" She was about to run over to him when Duncan grabbed her arm.
"You do not wanna get near him. He could make a sneak attack!"
"But he's hurt!" Zoey gestured to her boyfriend lying beside an unconscious Larry.
"I'll go check on him." Duncan pointed to the seed-pod. "Get the egg and take it back to our team's basket!"
Zoey looked between Mike and the seed-pod. A choice to aid her injured boyfriend or take the seed-pod back to the gate and score a point for her team. Eventually, she made her choice. She ran over to the seed-pod, pulled it from its roots and ran.
Confessional: If Larry's a Lorri, does that mean Larry's a Dory as well?
Zoey: Duncan kept insisting I should stay away from Mal until Mike comes back. I don't even know if I can believe him. He could be lying to split me and Mike up and eliminate us at the first chance he gets. I remember, back in season one, he formed a guy alliance and voted off Bridgette, even though that was the only time they accomplished anything. As I said before, I need evidence to find out if Duncan's telling the truth or not.
Duncan: Truth to be told, I don't wanna stay any longer than necessary around Mal. But I can't have him medevac another teammate off the island.
Duncan watched Zoey ran until she vanished behind rows of trees. That was his cue to leave behind the monstrous creature and Larry.
"Where are you going?"
Duncan looked over his shoulder to see "Mike" standing up, his hair covering one eye.
"Getting away from you!" Duncan shouted with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Mal chuckled. "Still afraid of me?"
"I'm not afraid! I'm walking away because I'm not gonna stand by and let Larry eat me!" Duncan pointed at Larry beside Mal.
Mal kicked Larry. No response. "Can't eat you if he's dead."
Duncan was beginning to walk away when Mal caught up with him. "Hey, it's rude to walk away from a friend." He shot an annoyed look at the delinquent.
Duncan narrowed his eyes. "Friend? Last time we talked, you slammed my head into the sink!" He pointed to his head.
"How else am I supposed to send my message into your thick head?" Mal remarked.
"The only one with a thick head here is you!" Duncan growled. "You think you have a shot of being the Big Bad and winning? Once the others catch a WHIFF of you, you're gonna get killed by Trent for burning his guitar! And then, Heather will swim over here and kill you five times for messing her hair! AND THEN! Eva will kill you a hundred times before we vote you off!"
Mal glared at him and then a smirk spread on his face. "Perhaps a thick head like me could form a partnership with you."
"No. Way. There's no way in hell I would ever form an alliance with someone from hell!" Duncan jabbed a finger at Mal's chest.
Mal gripped Duncan's shirt. "I'm not suggesting. I'm telling."
BAM!
Mal screamed as he fell to his knees, clutching his balls. Duncan smirked at him. "I've learnt from the worst. I don't think I need to be scare-" Mal threw a pink flower at Duncan.
The delinquent stared at the flower in his hand and then raised a brow at Mal. "A flower?"
He heard something stirring. He tilted his head back and his eyes popped out of their sockets. Larry had stood up, growling at the person who had its flower. The wide-eyed delinquent looked back at the smirking Mal.
"Until you're ready to become my foolish servant, I suggest you should tread lightly."
Larry unleashed a carnivorous roar at Duncan, who screamed and threw the flower back to the beast. He tried to escape only to be trapped inside Larry's mouth. The beast tilted its head back and swallowed the screaming delinquent. Larry burped and then started walking.
Mal popped his head out behind a tree. He snickered as he watched Larry walking away. "And so, the competition is thinning."
Confessional: Thinning? This isn't the Biggest Loser!
Mal: Such a fool. Six years later and he still haven't comprehended my true power. No matter, if Duncan survives the voyage to the bottom of Larry's stomach he will join. Soon, I will control everything.
Courtney and Ezekiel were walking together when they heard roaring and screaming above them. They looked up and gasped. Underneath the burning ferns, Trent was clinging on to a trunk. Two flying mountain goats were breathing fire at the musician, who manoeuvred to avoid being burned to death. He yelped and lowered his head as one goat unleashed fire where his head had been a second ago.
"Trent!" Ezekiel climbed the tree as if he was a monkey. He dodged the fire and then growled at the goat to his left. Right when the goat was about to use its breath weapon, he launched toward it and slammed it to the ground.
Courtney, Trent and the second goat watched Ezekiel and the goat wrestled each other. Blood ran cold as they watched one of them start to eat their opponent.
"Gross!" Courtney covered her eyes and turned away.
The sound of bones crunching and the sight of someone being consumed had traumatized the goat – enough to lay an egg. Trent, who had turned away from the gore, noticed the egg and caught it. The mountain goat flew away, but the trauma lingered.
When he believed the gorefest was over, Trent craned his head - with caution – to face whoever reigned victorious in the battle. "Thanks for saving me, man. But… do you have to eat the goat?" His cheeks had swollen before swallowing his vomit.
Ezekiel burped. "I was hungry, eh."
The tree trunk was charred by the mountain goats. Couldn't bear to sustain the weight any longer, the charred trunk were crackling and snapping. Trent screamed as the tree's top half fell. Ezekiel jumped out of the way when the tree crashed to the ground.
Groaning can be heard under the tree trunk. Courtney and Ezekiel pushed it to the side revealing a somewhat squish Trent. Ezekiel pulled up the musician while Courtney picked up an intact dark blue egg Trent had dropped. She smiled.
"That's one egg! We can go back to the gate!" Courtney said before pushing Ezekiel forward. "Keep an eye out for any of those weird monsters."
Ezekiel walked forward while Courtney and Trent walked at the back. "How did you end up on that tree?" Courtney asked.
"I was with Mike and Gw-uh, Dawn when we came across a lake." He quickly changed Gwen's name to not provoke Courtney. "A squid dragged us underwater and flung us out in different directions. I landed on that tree and you know the rest."
In her mind, she didn't really care about how Trent gotten himself into the predicament. She said it to start the conversation. There was one thing on her mind from the moment she saw Trent.
She looked at Ezekiel ahead and then looked at Trent and whispered to him. "I'm in an alliance with Brick and Zoey. If you join, your chance of being in the final four will increase."
Courtney gave him a smile whereas Trent raised a brow at her.
Confessional: How many alliances does Courtney want?!
Trent: I've never really been in any alliances. They're all about plotting to vote someone off. That's not in me. I'd leave the strategy game to people like Heather and Jo. And even if I want to, I wouldn't join any alliance with someone like Courtney. I would rather not be blindsided again.
"Thanks, but no thanks, Courtney. I don't wanna join," Trent said.
A record scratched in her mind and she stopped walking. "What?!" Half of the mutant creatures flinched at her voice and looked at her. "I am giving you a chance of being in an alliance of four! It's an offer you can't refuse!" Courtney shouted at Trent.
"I'm refusing your offer," Trent said, calmly. "I don't trust you - in game and in general. You'd be willing to backstab your teammates as soon as you find a better way to win."
"Who do you trust? Duncan? Gwen?!" Courtney said, venom in her voice at the goth's name.
"Duncan may be a jerk sometimes-"
"A Major Buttlord Dirty Cheater Jerk!"
"But the dude's pretty chill and we actually share interests like motorbikes, zombie games-"
Courtney glared at Trent. "And Gwen?"
"You're not calling her a boyfriend stealer. That's progress." Trent pointed out.
"She still is. I'm just not saying it to her face."
"Aren't you getting tired of hating Gwen? I mean, it was harsh that your friend and your boyfriend kissed behind your back, but you weren't a saint either. Why couldn't you let it go?"
"Go ask him!" Courtney pointed to Ezekiel, who had stopped and was listening to the conversation. "I've already answered that question."
"You know, Gwen told me she came here to make things right with you."
Courtney's eyes widened. "She did?"
"Yeah, never have I seen her taking that much trouble to seek forgiveness from someone."
Courtney turned her head away to avoid Trent's eyes and stared at the tree. She thought about what Trent had just said to her. Did Gwen really suffer another torturous season just to mend things with her? Not to break her down even further? Could all she want was to apologize for what she did in season three? For a moment, her eyes flickered with hope.
But only for a moment. She faced Trent again and narrowed her eyes. "Yeah, right! She probably told you that to lower my guard. Then, when I do, I'll fall into her trap!"
"She's telling the truth! She would never do anything like that!"
"That's what I thought last year, but look what happened!"
"You should give her a chance to talk."
"It won't accomplish anything." Courtney muttered.
"Well, you'll never know until you try."
"Like how you didn't try to get Gwen back because of Duncan?" Courtney said, coolly.
Trent widened his eyes and then glared at her. "Okay, you've crossed the line. Yeah, a part of me is always gonna love Gwen, but she's with Duncan now! If she's happy being with Duncan then I'm happy."
"Keep telling yourself that," Courtney said, before started walking again. "Come on, we have to get back to the gate."
Trent glared at Courtney's back.
Confessional: She takes rejection almost as bad as Dave. Wait a minute… Dave doesn't exist yet! DOH!
Courtney: Ugh! Does anybody on my team understand strategy?
Ezekiel: I heard the whole conversation between Courtney and Trent with my strong hearing. Courtney's a jerk, isn't she?
Trent: I don't know why Gwen keeps trying to make amends with Courtney. She has a better chance of curing my fear of mimes. Courtney is probably never gonna forgive her for 'stealing' her boyfriend.
Dawn and Sierra were walking in the different part of the forest. Sierra glanced at the aura whisperer, who looked emotionless. While the fangirl may have had abundance of details regarding the contestants, she doesn't do social skills very well.
Before thinking it through, Sierra asked. "Are you feeling better than you were last night?"
Dawn became sorrowful and dismal. "No. My aura has a shade of redness; red represents the malevolence I felt. Redness is the color of anger, the color of fear, the color of evil." she said, quietly.
Sierra cringed at Dawn's sadness. She slapped her forehead. "Oh, darn it! I asked the question too soon!"
"It's fine, Sierra," Dawn gave her a small smile. "I appreciate your concern for my wellbeing."
Sierra returned a smile. I should change the subject before I make Dawn depressed, she thought. "How are we supposed to find Noirwor?"
Different thoughts occupying her mind seemed to brighten Dawn's mood. "If Noirwor is the ruler of this mysterious island, perhaps we should ask someone to assist us. If not, we have to find out about its whereabouts ourselves." She eyed around the forest.
"There's a mutant over there! We can ask it!" Sierra pointed to a small raccoon with spikes on its back and two tails and four arms. It was eating a plum while sitting on a rock.
"Hello there, little one." Dawn greeted the raccoon.
The raccoon picked up on Dawn's aura immediately. It squeaked happily and then ran over to her and hugged her.
"Sierra and I are exploring to unearth mysteries regarding the mutants and Noirwor." Dawn explained.
The raccoon gasped and its eyes flashed with fear before showing a smile. But Dawn and Sierra noticed it.
Dawn gasped. "Has the mention of its name brought fear upon you?"
The raccoon was silent and then became serious. "Follow me," it said with a nasally voice. The creature started walking. The girls began to follow it when it stopped and glared at Sierra. "Not her."
Dawn and Sierra exchanged looks and then looked back at the raccoon. Dawn shook her head. "I'm sorry. I refuse to leave Sierra alone. We both go or none at all."
The raccoon frowned but it nodded. It resumed its walking with the girls in its trail.
Sierra gave Dawn a smile. "Thanks, Dawn."
"It's too dangerous for you to be alone anyway." She craned her neck into Sierra's ear. "I felt Fang's aura, he was here."
The mention of Fang worried Sierra. The raccoon kept walking until they stopped in front of a large cave.
Dawn felt the winds blowing in her face. "I can sense more auras! This must be their home!"
The raccoon nodded and then went inside with the girls behind. The path was moving downward and the light from the outdoors was getting dimmer the deeper the three of them went. However, the girls noticed a new source of light beaming out at the end of the tunnel. They reached the bottom of the slope and the girls gasped at the sight before them.
And what a sight it was.
It was a vast community full of mutants. An underground town constructed of bricks, dirt, and ferns. Light bulbs were hanging from the vines at the ceiling. Dawn and Sierra remained still with their jaws dropped. Several mutants were walking. A giant mutant turtle and a tentacled alligator were carrying a large log. A group of mutant baby bears and beavers were trying to tag two mutant baby goats who flew above just when they were about to tag them.
"Whoa…" Sierra stared at the community while absent-mindedly writing about the underground town on her notepad.
A big smile spread across Dawn's face. Tears were coming out of her eyes. "It's so beautiful."
The raccoon smiled.
Then the peace was shattered as two large raccoons appeared and grabbed Sierra and Dawn.
"I knew this would happen," Sierra said.
The girls screamed as they were being lifted.
Courtney, Ezekiel and Trent were running back to the basket when they saw the gate ahead. Courtney put the egg into the gold basket. The triumphant music was played.
"That's number two for the heroes!" Chris smiled before becoming annoyed. "And really? Three of you and only one of you brought back an egg? LAME!"
"Why don't you do it yourself?" Courtney narrowed her eyes at the monitor.
"Nah, I'm good," Chris smiled. He held up a piece of omelette on a fork. "I'm eating omelettes right now!"
Zoey had arrived with the seed-pod. She was about to put it in the basket when the egg started trembling. "Uh oh."
The seed-pod exploded, splattering Zoey in goo and sending the little seedlings running. "Ew…" She composed herself and snapped her head at Scott. "Quick, Scott! We can still get a point if we get all the babies in the basket!"
She picked up two babies and put them in the basket. Scott picked up one and his eyes popped open. The baby was different than the rest. It didn't have a face that resembled Larry.
The face resembled Chris.
The contestants stared at the baby squirming in Scott's hand. They continued staring at the baby after Scott let it run away while Zoey slowly put the other babies out of the basket.
Watching the whole moment from the monitor, Chris looked shocked and then whistled innocently. Chef stared at him, worriedly.
Confessional: Achievement unlo- It's too gross to say it!
Trent: (Eyes wide) Wait a minute, how is that possible? There's no way Larry could've conceived a baby… (Speaking slowly) that looks like Chris… (One eye twitching) Oh… oh, g-god. OH G- (Projectile vomits onto the wall)
Zoey: (On her knees, vomiting in the toilet)
Ezekiel: I don't know much about the real world, but that just ain't right, eh!
Courtney: Jail is too good for him. He belongs in a padded room on an isolated island. He can play out his terrifying imagination and no one would have to see it.
Scott: Huh. That's... really messed up.
Chef: I think jail broke him.
Chris: For the record, I, Chris McLean, did not have anything to do with Larry. I don't know how Larry made a baby with my face on it. I wasn't involved at all! (Smile) I think I made my point.
Gwen: (On her knees, vomiting in the toilet) (she looks up at the camera) ...WHYYYYYYYY?
Underground Town
Some of the mutants had stopped whatever they were doing. The children hid behind their parents as the large raccoons carried a pair of human girls across the underground town. They appeared to be heading toward the town center.
Sierra looked worried as the mutants were glaring and growling. One roach slid a finger across its throat. She glanced at Dawn, who was intrigued by the town. "What should we do?" Sierra whispered.
"We need to stay calm." Dawn whispered.
"Why are you whispering? We can all hear you." A large raccoon who held Dawn shouted, but with curiosity.
"Why is that fly holding a video camera?" Sierra stared directly at the camera the fly was holding above them.
"We ate the cameraman," the three-eyed bear said, who was walking beside them.
Sierra raised a brow. "Which cameraman?"
"Blonde guy with freckles on his face."
Sierra immediately knew which person the bear was referring to. "NO! Not Alex! He was the only cameraman who filmed us for five seasons!" Tears were flooding her eyes. "He was part of the Total Drama family! He was kind and supportive!" She started bawling.
Sad music played as a picture of a cameraman, whose face was replaced with a question mark, was shown.
Alex ?
Born - ?
Death – 21st June 2009
The bear scratched his head. "Oh, that was where I remembered the guy from. My bad."
"YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!" Sierra shouted.
Dawn closed her eyes for a moment, giving a silent farewell and wishing happiness for the beloved dead cameraman. She opened her eyes and looked at the bear Sierra was angry at. What the fan girl didn't know was that that bear had mauled Cody in the first season. But she decided it'd be best not to disclose this information.
She looked around the town again, particularly to the plant designed city hall. She turned to the small raccoon, who was leading the large raccoons. "Why have you brought us here?" Dawn asked.
The small raccoon turned around and snapped its fingers. The large raccoons placed the girls to the ground.
"DAWN!"
The girls looked ahead and saw a medium sized beetle crawl down the stairs and hug Dawn.
One quick read from the beetle's aura and Dawn realized who it was. She returned the hug. "Oh my! It's you! You've grown as big as your mother." She smiled.
"Is that the same beetle you saved in season four, episode three?" Sierra said.
Dawn nodded. "It is. This is Douglas." She gestured to the beetle, who hissed at Sierra.
The bear lifted Sierra and opened his mouth. The fangirl screamed.
"Put her down!" Dawn shot a stern glare and pointed her finger to the ground. The bear immediately obliged. "She's a friend, not an enemy."
"All humans are enemies," The bear growled.
"True, some humans are greedy monsters who're corrupting the Mother Earth's work, thus dooming future population. But for every bad human, I firmly believe there are ten good ones." Dawn said.
The bear shrugged. "Eh, they're all the same."
Sierra looked around the town. "Where are we?"
Douglas gestured to the town. "This is our home. It has been since we've moved here." He started walking, indicating the girls to follow him. "Shortly, after a season of your game show, radiation had started to change some of us. Apparently, being exposed to toxic waste long enough has given us the ability to talk and higher IQs. As months passed by, more mutants developed, including me and my mother."
"How is your mother, by the way?" Dawn asked.
"Doing well," Douglas nodded. "She's a teacher at the school." He pointed ahead of them. His mother was holding up a small bush to beetle children. She engulfed the bush in flames and it turned into ashes. She indicated the bushes before the children, as they attempted to follow her example. Most of them succeeded. A few were burping out nothing but smoke. One sneezed fire onto another, sending the poor creature screaming and running.
Douglas became concerned. He looked up at the mutant fly that holding the video camera. No words were said, but the fly knew what it had to do. The fly flew to the lake, dropping the camera as it did and landed on Sierra's head.
"Ow!" The camera fell into her arms. She rubbed her head to tend the wound from the falling camera. The concerned Dawn picked up the pen and notepad Sierra had dropped.
Douglas glanced at the girls. "Once enough of us had been developed, we decided to move our population underground. It provides shelters and there's a clean lake close by."
"The water on this island is clean?" Sierra gaped as she held up the video camera.
"Not all of them," Douglas said. "It doesn't affect our health if we drink toilet water. Clean water is just luxurious."
"I've noticed you exited from the city hall. Are you mayor?" Dawn asked.
Douglas nodded. "Last month. But there are higher beings above me."
Before either Dawn or Sierra could ask, Douglas spoke up again. "As I was saying, we've been developing a valuable and safe community. We've worked to keep our home stable." He pointed to several houses. He and the girls tilted their heads back to see a crab on a trapeze. When the crab reached the middle, the three-eyed frog on the other trapeze ribbitted and jumped onto the crab's pincher. In a flash, both crab and frog appeared on the ground. Dawn smiled and clapped while Sierra gave a thumb up. Both mutants bowed.
Douglas glanced at Dawn. "We play to keep ourselves from dying of boredom." They walked past a giant sleeping turtle with two eggs. "We lay eggs to sustain the population." He gestured to the lights. "We've even got electricity."
"Say… do you have internet here?" Sierra asked with a growing smile behind the camera.
"No we do not."
A smile wiped off her face. Sierra lowered her shoulders. "Oh…"
Douglas narrowed his eyes at them. "Now… messages were spread throughout the island saying you were stealing eggs for a challenge."
Those mutants who had heard Douglas began to growl and whisper death threats under their breath.
Dawn put the pen and notepad inside Sierra's pocket and then faced the beetle. "Douglas, we and our fellow competitors have no intention of separating the families. It was a man named Chris McLean who created this challenge for his monetary satisfaction."
The mention of the horrendous man caused a deafening uproar among the mutants. It echoed throughout the cave system like an outraged crowd of soccer fans after a bad call.
Sierra and Dawn were surprised when the mutants roared in unison. They didn't want to think if the mutants' uproar was about them.
"I HATE THAT MAN!" The female squirrel's eyes were glowing red. "I wanna fry him up and see how he experiences the pain!"
"You'd be doing a whole world a favor," Sierra said.
Sierra and the squirrel exchanged a slow nod.
Dawn turned back to Douglas. "When the challenge is over, I swear to Mother Earth that I will make sure Chris and his employees return the eggs to their families."
Douglas smiled at her. "You are truly a gift from Mother Earth."
Dawn giggled when she heard pinching and shouting around the corner. She followed the sounds and gasped at the sight before her. The crowd was surrounding two mutant crabs who were growling and pinching at each other.
"Oh, no! They're doing physical violence!" Dawn said as Sierra and Douglas stood beside her.
Douglas sighed wearily. "It's just Aiden and Kendall fighting again."
"How long have they been fighting?" Sierra said, recording the two crabs battling out.
"For four months." Douglas replied.
"They're fighting because their mother sacrificed herself for them. The brothers put blame on each other for the loss of their mother. It hurt them equally." Dawn said, quietly.
"I wish they could stop fighting." Douglas looked at Dawn. "Think you can do anything about it?"
Dawn showed a smile. "Oh, I can be an assistant." Dawn approached the two fighting creatures. She stood beside them to wait for the right moment. When it had come, she placed her hands on their faces. As if she pressed a stop button, both crabs looked down at her. "Aiden, Kendall, you must stop fighting. Physical violence is not the right remedy for your grief."
"You don't know us!" Aiden growled.
"It was terrible that your mother lost her life in the toxic waste. But she sacrificed her life so you can carry on with yours. Does your mother from above want to see both sons fighting and blaming each other? Is that how you want to honor her death?" Dawn asked, staring at them in the eyes.
The crabs felt put off by Dawn's staring. However, the feeling of discomfort was getting numb. Somehow, they find themselves looking into other eyes - their souls - everything that had happened since their mother died.
The town was silent until it was broken by two crying crabs embracing each other.
"I'm sorry, Aiden!" Kendall cried.
"Me too!" Aiden cried.
The mutants stood there in shock as they witnessed the end of the brothers' bickering.
"Wow… you did in a minute what we couldn't do for four months." Douglas gaped.
"Sometimes, the only way to be truly happy is to experience sadness." Dawn showed a smile to Sierra, who smiled back.
Suddenly, an important question had returned to her thought. She looked at Douglas. "Douglas, I have a question," Sierra said.
"What it is?" Douglas said.
She braced herself. "We spoke a name to the raccoon and he looked scared. What do you know about this person? About Noirwor?" Sierra asked.
She guessed right. The cave became silent again but for an entirely different reason. Every mutant had become aghast.
Dawn was shocked as she felt every mutant's aura change in a flash. "Their auras! They're glowing orange and green! Orange for fear and green for…" She looked at the mutants. Fear was growing in her heart.
"Unknown."
Douglas's antennas were twitching. "It's… it's not a good idea to mention him."
"It's a guy?" Sierra raised a brow.
"No one knows what its true gender is! He never said!" Douglas said, irritated.
"You just said he." Sierra pointed out.
"That's an irrelevant question, Sierra." Dawn turned to the beetle. "Douglas, she heard one creature mentioned its name. Since then, we've been curious about its identity."
"You don't wanna know it!" The large raccoon whimpered. "It's scary!"
"Define scary," Dawn said.
Douglas felt a stab in his mutated heart for every beat. "He never hurt us. Well… physically. Whenever we see him, we felt… nothing but fear. He would do nothing and he can still give us nightmares." He became silent.
Dawn and Sierra exchanged worried glances. Noirwor was proven to be more worrisome than they anticipated.
Before they could ask him more about Noirwor, an agonising pain rushed through their minds. The girls screamed as they fell to their knees and gripped their heads. Inside their eyelids, it was showing faint green.
Douglas gasped. "Penfold, Alfonzo! Get them out!"
Two three-eye frogs appeared on the girls' head and teleported them outside. Dawn and Sierra stopped screaming and exhaled a sigh. The frogs vanished out of thin air.
Sierra rubbed her head and snapped her eyes open. "What was THAT all about?"
Dawn said nothing but stared at the ground.
Confessional: Another mystery afoot!
Dawn: When I've felt it in my mind, I received more details about the green aura. It was much more powerful. Also, this aura contained particular color only I've detected with Mal. (Worried) I fear Noirwor could be portrayed far more malevolent than I thought.
Different part of the Underground
Brick opened his eyes when he hit the carved but rough ground. His heart beating had intensified dues to his fear in the dark. He can make out Jo next to him. He can also make out the outline of the hole he and Jo were in. Slowly, he poked his head out of the hole and looked around.
They were in a large cave with multiple mutant gophers walking around. He noticed other holes in his surroundings. Something red or maybe pink was poking out of one hole. He smiled when he realized it was egg; multiple eggs in several nests. His skin went cold as he received a perceived truth.
They were in the center of mutant gophers' home.
He ducked when a gopher walked past him. He pressed his hand to his mouth to prevent the gopher to hear his breathing. When he thought the gopher was out of range, he turned and shook Jo. "Jo. Jo!" he whispered.
Jo woke up and opened her mouth when Brick pressed a hand to her mouth and pointed at two mutant gophers walked past the hole. The jock-ette nodded. They both waited until the gophers were far away enough for Brick and Jo to whisper to each other.
"I saw several nests around us," Brick said.
"How many?"
"I saw at least four. It could be more."
"If-" Jo stopped when a different mutant gopher walked past them. "If there are nests, they must have eggs."
Learning from their previous experience, Brick took off his boots and gave one to Jo. They pressed their noses shut to prevent the smell to sneak its way into their nostrils. "We can use my boots to smell them off. How many eggs do we need?" he asked.
"Our team already found three," Jo said. "I don't know if they're gonna bring back any more. I say we'd take three; in case we'd lose any eggs along the way."
Brick nodded. "Good idea."
They heard growling and look up to see two mutant gophers bared their ugly teeth at them. They roared at Brick and Jo, who both screamed. The contestants aimed the boots at the gophers, who stepped away from the smell.
Jo glanced at Brick, gesturing to the smelly boot she's holding. "I won't say any killer zinger with these if you get us outta here."
"Put it in note!" Brick said before he and Jo got out of the nest and headed to the other nests contained eggs. The mutant gophers had surrounded them, but only the bad smell had stopped them from stepping closer.
"Back off, you pug-ugly piglets from hell!" Jo shouted as she jumped into one of the nests. She picked up two eggs, promptly the gophers to roar louder. "I said, BACK OFF!" She aimed the boot at the gophers while she climbed out with both eggs in her hoodie pockets.
"I got an egg!" Brick picked up an egg and then jumped out of the nest.
"I've got two!" Jo shouted as she and Brick pressed their backs together.
"Which way do we go?" Brick asked.
Jo looked around the cave. It was quite hard to see anything in the dark. She can only see the gophers in the front. She doesn't know how many were in the back, but she knew there were load of them. Right there, she can see it - an outline of the tunnel behind about ten gophers. She pointed at the tunnel. "That way!"
She and Brick waved the smelly boots at the crowd of gophers, who parted like a wave.
"Don't worry, you'll get the eggs back as soon as the challenge has finished!" Brick said to the mutant gophers.
As they vanished into the tunnel, one mutant gopher bellowed. As if it was a commanding voice, all the other gophers bellowed in unison. "OUR BABIES!"
Their ghastly voices echoed throughout the whole cave system. Brick and Jo's blood ran cold as they felt it ringing their eardrums.
"Well, what do you know; guess the mutants CAN talk." Brick smiled, sheepishly.
"You exiled a talking pervert maggot yesterday."
"Good point."
Growling can be heard, cuing for Brick and Jo to move into a sprint.
Confessional: (Tried ghastly scream but ended up coughing)
Jo: The way those giant gophers screamed "Our babies!" together; they sounded so demonic. It's like regular gophers fell into hell and then transformed into the worst form they could possibly have. I won't be looking at gophers the same again. Thanks God, Brick was with me. As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think I could've survived that room on my own. You know, come to think of it… we kinda make a good team.
Brick: I don't think I would've escape that place had I hadn't got Jo by my side. Despite my suspicion with her, Jo and I make a great team! With our muscles and street smart, we could overcome any obstacle in our path! It's making me wonder what our relationship beholds us.
Forest
Ezekiel brushed past the large fern. He looked around the area. After he went off on his own, he decided to look for more than three eggs to win the special reward. And if he could find any mutant creature to talk to, he could ask about Noirwor. Despite spending a year underground, not once had he heard said name.
He noticed several rocks cluttered around by the rock wall. He used his nose to sniff out any egg he may find. When he was living with the gophers, he used to sniff significant smell from gopher eggs. He sniffed several rocks before sniffing a different smell. He looked down and grinned. A white egg was sitting amongst the rocks.
"Oh, ho ho, ye-AK!" Something was tugging his hoodie, sealing off the windpipe. He was swung around 180. His windpipe opened again, but could not breathe as the sight of a shark's eyes glaring into his. Ezekiel started to scream only to feel a hand pressing against his mouth.
"Be quiet!" Fang growled, removing his hand from Ezekiel's mouth. "Where's Scott?"
Ezekiel raised a brow at him. "Scott?"
"Yes! Scott! Where is he?!"
Ezekiel knew if he tells him where Scott is, Fang would harm him. He shook his head. "No! I'm not telling so you can eat him, eh!"
He felt a hand gripping his throat, sealing off his windpipe once more. He started flailing and wheezing.
"You think I won't hesitant killing you? Human race is just an army of food." Fang growled.
Ezekiel scratched Fang's arms and swinging his feet at his stomach in futile attempt to escape. This moment had given him a flashback regarded his first day on Total Drama Island. Eva lifted him and choked his neck after making a sexist comment about women.
The shark can see the boy's face was losing color and smirked. "Tick tock. You're losing air every second."
Ezekiel's sight had become blurring and out of survival instinct, he pointed feebly in one direction.
Fang smirked. "Good boy." He dropped Ezekiel and started walking toward the camp.
Ezekiel looked up at Fang and wanted to ask him about Noirwor. Unfortunately, he was too busy gathering his breath.
Fang walked past Larry's baby resembled Chris's face. He shuddered. "That's really messed up."
Confessional: Fang used Sleeper Hold!
Ezekiel: He was choking me, eh! I could've died if I haven't shown Fang the direction! I wanted to ask him about Notiwol. Or was it Narwar? By the time, I can breathe again, he was gone. I hope Scott doesn't get hurt, eh.
Trent was looking around in the different part of the forest, worried. He saw a mutant fly came close and he hid behind a tree. The fly disappeared and he exhaled a sigh.
"I told the others to not venture off alone in the forest. Why do it knowing there's a greater chance of being mauled?" He noticed a tree hole next to him. He inserted his arm into the hole and felt something round and smooth. He pulled out an orange egg, which was the size of his hand. "Yes!" he smiled.
His eyes snapped open when hearing stomping noise. He hid behind the tree again. He slowly poked his head out to see it was Larry. He shuddered. His encounter with his babies still frightened him. He had seen him on TV, knowing how dangerous the monstrous plant can be.
He was about to walk the other direction when he heard something inside Larry. More specifically, inside Larry's stomach. He can also see the stomach was budging. It was faint, but he recognised someone's swearing voice inside.
"Duncan!" Trent whispered as he watched Larry walked away. "He needs my help! He may be on the other team, but I can't let him turned into Larry's lunch. How am I gonna save him?"
He was stroking his chin when he noticed a wing-beast mountain goat flying above him. He smiled. He looked up at the goat. "Hey, you!" The goat looked down at him. "That's right, I'm talking to you! You know what I'm gonna eat tonight? The main course is your Mom and the side dish is your delicious babies!" Trent taunted.
The goat growled and swooped down toward Trent, who smirked and started running.
Trent was getting closer to Larry. He snapped his head back at the goat. "Come and get me! Hit me as hard as you can, ya wuss!"
Smokes were appearing out of goat's nostrils. It flapped its wings faster.
Trent turned his head back to Larry and cupped his mouth. "Hey, Larry!"
Larry snapped his head when Trent slid underneath him. He looked down in surprise, only to see the goat slammed to his stomach. He moaned as he gripped his stomach. He growled at the goat, who gulped. He grabbed it when it was trying to leave and then threw it into his mouth. A second after he swallowed it, his stomach started growling.
He felt his stomach was churning like a tornado, and bubbling like a volcano ready to erupt. It was flowing up his throat and before he knew it, he was vomiting everything from his stomach - from mangled meats to a bile-covered delinquent.
Duncan slammed onto the tree and collapsing to the ground. A beige egg fell out of the tree hole and fell into his hands. Regardless of pain and being covered in Larry's vomit, he still made a grin. "Sweet and owwwww…" he groaned.
Trent hid behind a rock as Larry walked away gripping his stomach in tremendous pain. As soon as he disappeared behind rows of trees, Trent ran over to Duncan. "You're alright?" he asked.
Duncan stood up, shaking off the bile from his arms. "Besides being swallowed up and thrown up by a giant plant, I'm cool. Thanks for the save, man." Duncan smirked.
"No worried," Trent smirked. "No need for anyone to die, am I right?"
Duncan nodded before he became serious in bile. "Trent, there's something we need to talk."
"About what?"
"It's about Mike," Duncan said. "He was the one who burnt your guitar."
There was a deafening silence in the area. Not even a mutant cricket critter.
"Wha…?"
"Just hear me out. There had been several shits happened for the past days and no one know who did it. That it until I've found out last night. It was Mike, but it wasn't really Mike. As he has multiple personalities, one of his alternatives is a guy named Mal. I met him in Juvie years ago. He broke stuffs. He broke people! Alejandro included! His name was practically short for Malevolent! He always made others suffered and drove them to despair. That was what he'd been doing! He was messing with us physically and mentally! I told Gwen and Zoey about this earlier. Talk to them if you don't believe me. You might find what I'm telling you are wacko and confusing, but you can't deny the truth in front of you!"
Trent stood still. "I… I don't know how to… response to all this."
"Just be aware. Everything makes sense if you've noticed anything weirder than usual with him." Duncan ran off with the egg, leaving Trent still in shock.
Confessional: That could be his new stereotype! Silent Musician!
Trent: I have no word to say. Duncan told me that Mike was the reasons for shaving Heather and Zoey's hair, broke Alejandro's legs and burnt our stuffs. (Silence) I've got no clue if everything Duncan was saying was the truth. He could've been lying. He knows how to play the game. I should definitely talk to Gwen, or Zoey. (Thinking) Zoey. Zoey… (Eyes widened)
The camera was filming around the forest when Sierra's face appeared. "Hi, everyone! Hi Cody!" She waved and giggled. "I'm the first contestant to ever to use a cameraman's camera." A sullen look appeared on her face. "This property used belonged to a great man; Alexander James Brown." A tear slid down her cheek.
Sad music played as a picture of a cameraman, whose face was replaced with a question mark, was shown.
Alexander James Brown
Born - ?
Death – 21st June 2009
Sierra turned the camera and aimed at Dawn, who was in deep thought.
"Hey, why did we get these headaches? It felt like someone was squeezing our brains." Sierra placed a hand to her head.
Dawn looked at Sierra. "Noirwor must've sensed our presence and used its mysterious power to remove us from its home. Perhaps it doesn't want us to discover its identity."
"A second mystery villain…" Sierra stroked her chin. "Unless... as an unexpected twist, it was HIM who sabotaged the campground!"
"It wasn't Noirwor," Dawn said. "It was a fellow contestant amongst us."
Sierra raised a brow. "What make yo- you know who the perpetrator is, do you?" She narrowed her eyes at Dawn.
Dawn knew there was no point of lying. Sierra was no fool. She nodded. "Yes, I do."
Sierra stared at her, wondering why she kept vital information from anyone. An idea came into her mind. She looked around the area before leaning to Dawn's ear. "Blink eleven times if you're being blackmailed."
"No one is blackmailing me," Dawn said. "If I disclose this information to you and the others, I fear you'll react in unprofessional manner."
Sierra gave Dawn a smile. "Oh, don't worry, Dawn. If I've find out who was responsible for burning my smartphone, I'm going to have a reasonable conversation with the perpetrator. And then, I'LL RIP THEM IN HALF AND BURN THEM MYSELF!" Her nostrils were flaring and her eyes were glowing red.
Dawn shook her head at Sierra. "What? That's not in my top ten worst punishments!"
Dawn's ears perked and she raised her hand, indicating Sierra to stop walking. She pointed to her ear.
Sierra cupped her ear and somewhere in her hearing range, she heard stomping. "Hide!" She whispered to Dawn.
She and Dawn moved behind a large rock and a bush of thorn brambles. They leaned against the rock as they listened to the stomping. It was getting louder until they felt as if they were directly behind them. The next thing they knew, the stomping had gotten quieter. Slowly, they poked their heads out from behind the bush and discovered it was Fang. The girls exchanged glances.
"Do you think he know where Scott is?" Sierra looked worried. "Or me?"
Dawn closed her eyes and placed her hands onto her head. She opened her eyes and looked at Sierra. "His aura is vigorously red. I couldn't get a read on where's he going. We'll have to act like a shadow and follow him."
Sierra gulped but Dawn's reassuring smile made her feel a bit better. They started following Fang. They moved to different trees to stay out of Fang's sight. It had been going on for more than ten minutes when Fang had suddenly stopped. The girls stopped by a tree thirty feet from the mutant shark.
"What's he looking at?" Sierra squinted her eyes at the sight Fang was watching. Her eyes nearly popped out of her sockets when seeing Dawn walked several feet closer to Fang. Her mouth ran dry as she stared at Dawn crouched behind the bushes.
Dawn was now fifteen feet behind Fang.
The aura-whisper looked at what Fang was seeing and her jaw dropped a little. It was the gate, and by the baskets were Scott and Gwen. Then she saw Zoey, who ran back to the basket with a green egg in her hands. When she placed the egg into the basket, triumphant music was played.
"Egg-cellent, work for the villains! One more egg and they win!" Chris announced.
Zoey and Scott cheered at the news.
"Bad pun!" Gwen said, shooting an annoyed look at Chris but became worried at the other team.
Chris's grin broadened on the monitor. "Oh, and it's look like Zoey brought back a mommy!"
Zoey and Scott stopped in mid-cheering and Gwen turned to see Fang had stepped out onto the clearing.
"I'm not a mommy! I'm not even a parent!" Fang growled at Chris.
Gwen and Zoey gasped while Scott screamed and grabbed two eggs from his team's basket.
"Stay away!" Scott was about to throw a beige egg Zoey snatch it away from him.
"Scott, we can't hurt the babies!" Zoey shouted.
A dimmed lightbulb turned on in his mind. Scott's lips curled into a smirk. He moved away from Zoey and held up a green egg above his head. "Step any closer and this egg become baby omelette splatter!" he smirked.
Fang growled while Dawn gasped in horror.
Confessional: Activate Infant Immortality!
Dawn: I couldn't believe the sheer audacity before me! I couldn't believe he's willing to harm a defenceless unborn baby! (Annoyed) Actually, I can. (Worried) But during that intense moment his aura is pure orange. Fear can cause drastic measure. I have to save the unborn baby from Scott and Scott from Fang!
Dawn turned back to Sierra, who had stepped closer to her. "Stay here! Don't move until the situation is resolved!"
Sierra nodded and hid behind a tree while Dawn ran toward the others. Despite Scott's threat to kill an unborn creature, Fang took one step forward at a time.
"Hey! Stop!"
One step forward.
"I mean it!"
Another step forward.
"You want this baby's goo on your hand?!" Sweats were starting to appear on Scott's face.
Fang took another step when Dawn stopped behind him. "Fang, stop!"
Fang snapped his head at the aura-whisper.
"Vengeance is wrong! This has to stop!" Dawn cried.
"Why would I do that?" Fang asked, looking down at Dawn.
"Scott had suffered enough from your wrath. He had already apologized for stealing your tooth!"
Fang scoffed. "Apology is a waste of breath. I won't stop until I have pieces of Scott lodged in my teeth!" He bared his fifty teeth, but Dawn showed no fear.
"If you did the unspeakable, you'd be no better than them."
Fang raised a brow. "Who are them?"
Dawn stared into Fang's eyes. "You know who I'm referring to."
It was that moment when he received a flashback from his old life. A moment he'd hidden away in the back of his mind. Despite his skin was blue, Fang's face was glowing visibly red. Fists were clenching, teeth grinding and old fires reignited in his eyes.
Even standing before a terrifying creature, she still remained calm. "Your aura flared blood red for your hatred of human race," Dawn said. "What they did to your pre-"
Fang opened his jaw and lunged at her.
"DAWN!" Scott/Gwen/Zoey/Sierra shouted.
Fang snapped his jaw, only to taste empty space and something landed on his head. Before he could thrash her off, Dawn closed her eyes and placed a hand on his head.
"Go home. Be with your new family. Let your long running grudge with Scott and Sierra fade away." She whispered.
The fires in Fang's eyes had extinguished, his arms fell to his sides and his skin color was restoring to normal. He felt annoyed with a human girl on his head, but the feeling was starting to go away. For the first time in a long time, his thoughts weren't involved ripping apart Sierra and Scott. As if it doesn't matter anymore.
From a different point of view, Fang was staring at the dirty ground when he was really daydreaming about gentle waves with his new family on the beach. His lips curled into a relaxed smile.
Dawn opened her eyes and looked at him; waiting to find out if her ability had provided a positive result.
To everyone's surprise, Dawn included, Fang nodded. "Okay."
The aura-whisper smiled and jumped off of him. Without looking back at the other contestants, Fang started walking away. Zoey and Gwen watched Fang disappeared amidst the trees and bushes.
Scott's feet rooted to the ground. If he could, his jaw would've hit the ground. He was wrapping around his dim mind to register what just happened. He'd only imagined this moment to be one of his lost dreams.
Dawn stepped over to Scott and pushed his jaw shut. She gently removed the egg from him. She gave him a smile. "You do not need to fear Fang anymore. Your life should be easier now."
Scott slowly turned to face Dawn. The same girl who creeped him out when she mentioned he wasn't held enough as a child; the same aura-whisper who was threatening to expose his true color to the others. Without warning, he wrapped his arms around her. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Tears were trickling down his face as he exhaled a breath of relief. Dawn returned a hug.
Still by the tree she was hiding, Sierra smiled as she's filming a heart-warming moment between Scott and Dawn.
Gwen and Zoey exchanged glances and smiled.
Confessional: Happiness all around! Joy was here!
Zoey: I'm going to confess something. When I watched the rerun for last season's finale, my heart just stopped when Scott shed a tear. (Wringing her hands) Since then, I felt terrible for laughing at him while he was in that chair. I didn't know whether I should apologies after everything he'd done. (Smile) But if Scott can hug Dawn, maybe it's a good time for me to make an apology.
Dawn gently pushed Scott off and then punched him in the arm.
"Ow!" Scott wiped off his tears and rubbed his arm. "What was that for?"
"That's for threatening an unborn baby's life!" Dawn narrowed her eyes at Scott.
"Sorry," Scott murmured, before showing a smile. "And Dawn, for saving me from being Fang's dinner; I'll never do anything bad to any critter again! But I ain't gonna quit eating meats."
Dawn's smile broadened. "I called this a victory for all creatures."
"How did you manage to do that?" Gwen asked, walking over to Dawn.
"I used my ability to transfer tranquil thoughts. That should end his vengeance with Scott." Dawn explained.
"YES! I'M FREE!" Scott ran around, pumping his fists like a soccer player scored a goal.
"Is there anything you can't do?" Gwen asked the aura-whisper.
"I couldn't erase Twilight from people's minds." Dawn stared at the ground in shame.
Gwen nodded and placed her hand on Dawn's shoulder. "I feel you."
Sierra walked over to the others when Scott stopped celebrating. They stared at each other and then narrowed their eyes. There was still a matter to do between them.
"Guys, this isn't a good time for a glaring contest." Zoey said, looking at the glaring pair.
"Where did you find a camera?" Gwen raised a brow at the video camera Sierra was carrying.
"I found it underground," Sierra replied. "This is Alex's." She stared at the ground, her lips quivering.
Judging by the tone of her voice, Gwen had a good idea what happened to the cameraman. "He's dead?"
Sierra nodded.
Gwen sighed and then glared at the monitor, which had turned off when Dawn and Scott hugged. "Once again, Chris's fucking show had claimed yet another innocent person who had a hopeful life ahead of them."
Dawn looked at Zoey. "Zoey, may I speak to you for a moment?"
Realizing it would be the perfect time to discuss with her about Mike, Zoey nodded. "Sure."
Both of them walked away to discuss in private. Gwen was getting tired of standing beside the basket. She turned to Sierra and Scott, who still exchanging glares.
"I'm gonna look for eggs. Just... try not to get in trouble." Gwen ran off to find some eggs, while Sierra and Scott turned their heads away.
Confessional: The S.S. Conflict hasn't docked yet!
Dawn: When I felt Zoey's aura, I can feel she wished to seek more information about Mal. I shouldn't withhold information about Mal any longer. She has to know eventually.
Zoey: I never have a chance to talk to her about Mal until now. I figured she must've felt something with Mike. (Took a deep breath) Time to find out if Duncan's telling the truth.
Dawn and Zoey kept walking through the forest until they believed they were alone.
"I can tell you wish to discuss with me regarding a certain topic," Dawn said.
"It's about Mike," Zoey replied. "This morning, Duncan told me that Mal - another personality of Mike's - was the reason for all the chaos this season."
"He was correct."
Zoey's eyes widened. "Really?"
Dawn nodded. "Mm-hmm."
"How did you know?"
"I've been reading black aura from Mike since the beach challenge. A hit from the puzzle piece had strengthened Mal."
"So you knew all this time? Did you tell anyone about this?"
"Only Cameron."
A look of hurt was shown on Zoey's face. "Why didn't either of you tell me, or Mike for this matter? I thought we're friends."
"I apologize for not telling you. I needed for Mal to remain a secret. If the other contestants discover him as a perpetrator, he would suffer more than the Flush of Shame. The less they know the better."
"But wouldn't him staying in the game allow him to cause suffering to others?"
"Oh, yes. But if Mal suffered great injuries to himself, Mike may never resurface again."
"How do we bring him back then?"
"I haven't had the answer for it at the moment. However, I have a plan that might allow me to get closer to the answer."
"What it is?"
"I'm afraid that's classified."
Zoey opened her mouth when Dawn interrupted. "Please, do not ask me further question about it."
Understanding she doesn't want to discuss it, Zoey asked another question. "Here's a different question - where did he come from? Or it is when he comes from?"
"Mal came to view when Mike was nearly ten. He took over while Mike was recovering from his terrible ordeal."
"Mal's the first personality? Not the fifth?"
"That's right."
After her discussion with Duncan, she perceived the truth that Mal and Malcolm were connected. "Then I was right... Mal is based from Malcolm."
Dawn nodded.
"Do... you know-" Zoey asked, before she was cut off by Dawn again.
"Yes. But I refuse to divulge such personal information. You need to be patient if you wish to learn his backstory." Dawn said, quietly.
Zoey folded her arms and removed her gaze from Dawn. "He lied to me; about having another personality." Zoey said, feeling a mixed of emotions.
"He was concerned that if you uncovered the truth, you would abandon him."
"I would never do that!" Zoey defended.
"I know you wouldn't. But he also believed that by keeping Mal a secret, it would protect you."
"Well, he should've told me about him. What if there's something I need to do if Mal showed up?"
"I agreed. Everything he'd done this season was horrendous." Dawn frowned.
Zoey became silent for a moment to catch her breath. "Do you know what's happening to Mike?"
Dawn nodded. "Yes. As of right now, he's chained to a Mal-shaped rock." She spoke up again before Zoey opened her mouth. "And to answer your next question; the other personalities have been held captives as well."
"Can they escape?"
"Not on their own," Dawn replied. "Mal is using everything he can to imprison them for as long as possible."
"What does Mal want? I mean, apart from despair and suffering?"
"He wants to take over Mike's body and to be free to walk on Mother Earth. However, he needs to dispose everything Mike loves to succeed."
"Would that means... killing me and Cameron and everyone Mike likes. Even his family?" Even it was a morbid question, Zoey had to ask to find out if Mal would truly commit such a sin.
"I'm afraid so," Dawn murmured.
Zoey tilted her head back. She stared at the tree, listening to the wind blowing the rusting leaves. Her mind was trying to wrap around the information regarding Mike/Mal. And even now, she was still trying to comprehend the information from Duncan. A part of her doesn't want to believe anything about Mal.
Her own boyfriend - capable of murdering someone? Her body felt cold at the thought of it. She can't deny it though. There were evidences spread out during the season. Blackmail, Alejandro's broken limbs and the wildfires. She took off her red cap to scratch an itch on her bald head. As she put the cap back on, something occurred to her. A question loomed in her mind. Should she even ask? The answer might be too much for her. Curiosity had taken over and she faced Dawn.
"Dawn?"
Dawn stared at Zoey with full attention.
"If Mal want to kill me... why didn't he when I was asleep?"
Dawn looked grim.
"Do you really want to know?"
With hesitant, Zoey nodded.
"Mal wants to make you feel anxious and restlessness. Fear would expand as he picked off the others one by one. The greater the fear, the more power Mal would receive... and more hungry he would be. You'd be awake at night never knowing how, where and when he would get you. When he believes you've reached your breaking point, he would take you away from the others... and torture you mercilessly. He wants Mike to acknowledge the fact that that his hands were responsible for taking your life. And when everyone he loves is gone, his hope and will to live will evaporate. He'll let Mal to take complete control of every aspect of his life - because he has nothing left to fight for." Dawn finished gravely.
As if the world had slow to a stop, Zoey became flabbergasted and her body felt numbed. Dawn waited for a few minutes for Zoey to collect herself.
"Do you believe about Mal now?" Dawn asked the astonished indie chick.
Zoey nodded like a mindless zombie.
"Then listen to this; do NOT be alone with Mal." Dawn warned.
Zoey nodded for the second time.
"Another thing; I know that Duncan was the one who informed you about Mal. However, you must stop him from telling any more competitors."
Zoey snapped out of her trance. "What? Why?"
"As I've explained before, if anything serious happen to Mal, there's no telling what will happen to Mike." Zoey opened her mouth when Dawn interrupted again. "However, DO warn the others if you must."
Zoey nodded. Hearing everything about Mal now was too much for her. "I'm... going to have a lie down." She started to walk away.
"If you want tea to settle down your nerve, let me know," Dawn offered.
Zoey nodded and continued to walk away, gripping her arms.
Confessional: At least she didn't find out in the semi-final!
Zoey: (In fetal position) Well... at least I know the truth about Mal. I'm gonna ask Brick for his night-light.
Courtney was walking alone in the forest. After her previous run with Trent and Ezekiel, she decided to venture off alone. She pushed away bunches of fern to see Mike with an evil glare in the shadow. She screamed, falling to the ground, only to have Mike cough and help her up. "Sorry, didn't mean to spook you." "Mike" said apologetically.
Courtney opened her mouth to shout at him when an idea popped into her mind.
Confessional: Since when she doesn't shout after being spooked?
Courtney: (Smile) Why didn't I think of it earlier? I'm in alliance with Zoey. If I recruit his boyfriend, I'll have four votes by my side!
Courtney gave Mike a smile. "It's fine. Listen, I'm in an alliance with your girlfriend and Brick. When the teams merged, the four of us will take out the rest."
"Mike" grinned while in his mind, Mal grinned for a different reason. "I can still have that friendship finale with Zoey! Yeah, count me in!"
"Mike" shook Courtney's hand.
Confessional: The Handshake of Destruction!
Mal: (Cackles) I personally thank Courtney for giving me an alliance and allowing me to get up close and personal with Zoey. (Smirking)
"I'm glad you let me joined." "Mike" crouched beside the bushes. "It'll be easier to give you these!" He brought out two yellow eggs with gold stripes in the middle.
Courtney smiled, taking one egg. "That's great! Let's get back to the gate!"
She and "Mike" started running back to the gate. Unbeknownst to her, "Mike" was showing a malevolent smile.
Underground
Brick and Jo were still running in the cave; trying to get away from the gophers as much as possible. They haven't stumbled upon any of them since they left the room. Ironically, that had frightened them the most. It wasn't helpful with the caves were being dimmed; it was hard to see anything on the ground. Jo almost tripped a few times whereas Brick had landed on his face several times. Nevertheless, the egg remained intact. They were fuelled with fear and adrenaline. However, it was only a matter of time before they ran out of energy.
Suddenly, Jo heard loud breathing and turned to discover it was Brick.
"Are you having an orgasm?!" Jo whispered, raising a brow at him.
Sweats were pouring down his face. Brick's eyes were filled with fear. "Mutant gophers... dark..." Brick gasped.
Jo's eyes snapped open.
Confessional: With orgasm being mentioned, does this mean we have to change the rating to M?
Jo: I forgot Cadet Monobrow was totally afraid of the dark. I guess with the whole running away from an army of mutant gophers put aside all of his fears. And I don't blame the guy - do you really wanna become a meal?
"Brick, you've gotta calm the fuck down before-" Jo whispered, fiercely.
A herd of mutant gophers popped up from every direction, including the ceiling. They had surrounded the contestants.
"They hear us..." Jo stared at the gophers.
Brick held out his smelly boot. "W-we still have our weapon!" He said to Jo.
He took a step back and a sharp stone penetrate his foot. He let out an ear-piercing shriek. Jo noticed the gophers were wincing and moaning.
"They don't like high-pinch." Jo whispered. She fumbled around her neck, pulled out what she need and blew her whistle. The mutant gophers winced again. She smirked.
"That's right, I know your second weakness," Jo growled. "And I'll use it again if you don't move your naked butt out of our way!"
One mutant gopher took a step forward, promptly Jo to blow her whistle again. The mutant gophers moaned and then disperse from the area. Jo put her whistle away and then faced Brick, who was inserting his injured foot into his boot. Jo gave the cadet back his second boot. "Can you walk?"
After putting on another boot, Brick stood up, smiling. "I had worse." He winced when he started walking again. "I think it's okay to walk. I don't know if it okay for me to run."
"We can't walk back to the gate! We don't know if the challenge is still going on!"
"Even so, we'd better hope-" He hit something in front of him." Ow!"
"You're okay?" Jo concerned.
Brick used one hand to rub where it hit him, and the other to feel what had hit him. He felt a smooth texture. "I'm fine. I think I hit a... marble pedestal?"
"Then let's get moving." Jo started walking past Brick when he spoken up.
"Hold on, Jo. I'm a bit confused why there's an empty pedestal here."
"Why you cares? The Ugly Army hoarded everything they'd find."
"It's just... I find it odd that a marble pedestal would be here of all places. What's the purpose for having one?" Brick gestured to the pedestal.
Jo was getting annoyed when she perceived the purpose of the pedestal. "I think the idol was here."
"You think so?"
"It would make sense for Chris to put an idol here - somewhere secluded and obvious. What's better way to hide an idol than a cave filled with mutant gophers?"
Brick stroked his chin. "It's logical. It's also possible that Mike had found it."
"Have you seen how Gap-teeth looked when we saw him? I was amazed he didn't turn into a toothpick!"
"If it wasn't him, anyone could've seized the opportunity to claim the idol."
"Except for us; we were together the whole time." Jo pointed out.
"That's right. We don't know the idol here was Chris's, or Chef's. We also don't know if anyone found the idol outside the Fun Zone."
"Who were exiled so far?" Jo asked. "I didn't check all the details."
"Lightning, Trent, Scott, Cameron, Eva and Mike." Brick counted off the contestants with his fingers. His lips curled into a smile. "It's safe to say that Lightning didn't find it."
"First he has to find a brain." Jo remarked.
Jo and Brick laughed.
"Anyway, since we know that an idol has been found, we should keep this between us." Jo suggested.
Brick nodded. "That would be a wise choice; we don't want whoever obtained the idol to know that we know that whatever idol here has been claimed."
"Until then, we'd tell this to nobody." Jo extended her hand to Brick.
Brick shook Jo's hand. "Agreed."
Confessional: Maybe the Idol moved itself!
Jo: Shit, this isn't good. Whoever found the idol back there now has a power-play; something that should've been mine! I can't even trust my own alliance to be straight with me. If I have the idol, I'd keep it for myself.
Brick: An idol has been claimed and thus, someone has obtained power. I'm going to have to hope that either Zoey or Courtney has found it. (Silence for a moment) Maybe just Zoey.
Forest
After feeling like spending an eternity, Brick and Jo had finally exited the cave. Brick sniffed the radioactive air and happily sighed.
"Ah... it's great to be back outside - no darkness to hinder my sight."
Jo nodded. "I'll take boring, but nice outdoor than spending another minute with the freaks. C'mon, we've gotta get to the gate." She and Brick started walking back to the gate.
"Speaking of nice, why you were being supportive of my decisions?" Brick asked.
Jo raised a brow at him. "What decisions?"
"Assisting with me to look for Dawn? Agreeing with me about sticking together? Us sticking together?" Brick gestured himself and Jo.
"And you find this a problem, why?
"Until now, you'd always tried to do things your way. Not once had you've gone along with my way."
Jo had to come up with a lie quickly to throw off Brick's track. She doesn't want him to expose her plan and alliance to others. "Well… if there's anything I've learnt this season, is that arguing doesn't get you anywhere. I squabbled with Queen Bitch and B.I.T.C.H. in the beach challenge and we'd lost. Since then, I've been more willing to listen to my team. We've gotta have teamwork in team."
Brick smiled. "That's what I'd like to hear! Together, everyone achieve more! That was actually an abbreviation for team."
Jo and Brick exchanged smiles. There was a peaceful air between them; barely any tension. Trusts have been formed during their mis-adventure with the blind mutant gophers.
"Of course, we weren't a team when Courtney was voted off over Alejandro." Brick was still smiling when he broke the silence.
Jo turned to Brick, who had stopped. "What?"
"I know it was you," Brick said, narrowing his eyes. "I know it was also Scott, Duncan and Eva who casted the votes to her. It was impossible for Courtney to vote for herself and Zoey wouldn't dare to vote off her friend. Courtney and I don't see eye to eye, but we were teammates."
Jo was staring at Brick, unable to blink. "Uh…"
"You cannot deny the evidences!" Brick shouted. "What was your interior motive to eliminate Courtney instead of Alejandro?" If he wasn't holding eggs, he would've crossed his arms.
Jo knew it was pointless lying to Brick. She decided it was a good time to confess the truth. "I knew Broken Eel would be way too injured to compete, even if McLean didn't remove him. By voting off Courtney, we became two steps closer to the millions. It was a strategic move." Jo explained.
"Was it a strategic move by eliminating two of our teammates?!"
"We'd still be even with the other team! I didn't count on C.I.T. to be sent to goodie-goodie!"
"And what about Alejandro, huh? Can you imagine what would've happen if he stay?!"
Jo waved dismissively. "He's gone now. It's in the past and we've gotta move on." Jo started walking again.
Brick sighed and then glared at the back of Jo's head. "Just as I expected from you – a cutthroat player. I bet you were pretending to be nice to me, only to set me up for a fall."
Jo snapped her head at Brick. "You're done pretending to have a thing for me?"
This time, Brick became confused. "I beg your pardon?"
Jo stomped over to Brick. "Was it part of your strategy? Get me hurt. Heal me up and earn you my trust. And then, when I'm all lovey-dovey on you, you'd kick my ass into the toilet!" Spits splattered on Brick's face as she shouted.
"Where did you get this idea?" Brick looked at Jo in astonishment.
"I've been informed that you developed a thing for me. Why would you even like me?! We're enemies! Enemies do not date!"
"I don't consider us as enemies." Brick's face was reddening. "More like rivals. We have contrasting views on stuffs."
"Then why are you blushing?"
"It's a-a radioactive island, Jo!" Brick stammered. "The trees were emitting boiling air." He pretended to fan himself.
"Trees?" Jo deadpanned.
"I don't know!" Brick shouted, making a derf face.
"Oh, whatever!" Jo growled. "Everything we did had been fighting for leadership and turning every little thing into a competition! Even if you ask me out, I'd soon rather go back to Casa de Ugly!"
Brick glared. "If that's your answer, I'm glad I don't have to deal with you anymore!"
"Good!"
"Good!"
Jo and Brick glared into each other's eyes. Inches away from each other. Both widened their eyes.
BAM!
Brick screamed as he fell to his knees, clutching his balls. Jo picked up Brick's egg and ran off.
Confessional: So close!
Brick: Things are going to be awkward between me and Jo from here on out.
Jo: Me and Brick?! Don't make me barf! With him pissing his pant all the time? Two words; Boner Killer. And his eyes? They were like black holes. It was sucking you in until you and someone else closed the gap. (Stared at the camera as she perceived the truth) Did I really say that?
Static
(Her anger, but frantic eyes shown as she punched the camera) HOW DO YOU BREAK THIS FUCKING CAMERA?!
Chris: (Grinning) You don't! Our cameras are designed to film any slip of the tongue moment. They wouldn't be able to do anything to take it back. Work with World Tour. It's certainly working in this season as well! (Laughing)
The grinning Ezekiel popped his head above the water with a dark grey egg. "Sweet!"
He noticed a tentacle behind him and screamed. The squid swung its tentacle down just as Ezekiel climbed out of the lake. He picked up three eggs he had collected before and run away. A minute later, he stopped and looked to see he had enough distance from the squid. He looked at four eggs in his arms and smiled.
"Now I've got enough to get me that special reward!"
Confessional: It is an actual brain for Lightning?
Ezekiel: Getting that special reward might bag me an advantage to win the game. Being eliminated first twice, I really need to step up my game if I wanna reach the merge, eh.
Ezekiel's ears perked as the loudspeakers crackled on.
"The scored is now five all! Which's mean the next person comes back with their egg win the challenge for their team!" Chris announced.
His eyes widened. "Oh, no! I've gotta hurry up, eh!" He started running.
In a different part of the forest, Jo too started sprinting as soon as she heard Chris.
"If we lose this challenge, Brick…" Jo murmured.
Back at the gate, Dawn was meditating and Scott was resting happily against the basket. Courtney and "Mike" were standing nearby. The latter pair had decided to not risk their life again and remain by the gate. Their teammates were still searching for eggs. Soon, one of them will return. It was just the matter of who'd arrive first.
"Someone from our team has better show up," Courtney said.
"Mike" shrugged. "We can't say for certain. Hey, should we lose; do you have an eliminated contestant in your mind?"
"Oh, I have one alright." Courtney furrowed her brows.
"I know you're upset with her, but wouldn't it be better if we'd eliminate someone who didn't even try?" "Mike" turned his head to someone by the basket.
"Logical choice but Gwen is a threat. She has to be removed." Courtney looked at "Mike". "I'm counting on you to vote for her, right?"
"Oh, y-yeah!" "Mike" nodded. "Of course! What's the point of being in an alliance if I don't go along?" He smiled sheepishly.
Courtney nodded and then noticed someone was running toward them in the forest. "I can see someone!"
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
Jo ran out of the forest and run toward the others.
Scott cheered while Courtney snapped her head at Mike. "We have to stop her!" She and "Mike" ran toward Jo.
Jo saw Courtney and "Mike". She looked at an egg in her hand. An idea came to her mind. She held up the egg to the running pair. "You want this? Here!" She pulled back her arm and threw the egg like a dodgeball.
Courtney and "Mike" reached their arms out to catch it. The egg dashed past both pair of arms.
"Oof!" Courtney fell to the ground with the egg lying on her stomach.
"Mike" bended down to pick up the egg, only for Jo to leap over him. The athletic ran over to the basket. She removed both eggs from her hoodie pockets and put them in the basket. The triumphant music was played.
"Seven to five – the villains win!" Chris announced.
Jo and Scott cheered while Courtney slammed a fist to the ground. "Oh, come on!"
Just then, Ezekiel arrived and found out that his team had lost. "Oh, man."
Courtney stood up; brushing off the dirt then noticed the eggs in Ezekiel's arms. "You've brought back four eggs?" Courtney glared.
Ezekiel gulped then his eyes widened as his ears perked. It was getting louder every second. It sounded like stomping.
Suddenly, something knocked down three mutated trees. Those who stood by the creature stared agape at the sight before them. It was a giant chicken with multiple reptile eyes and a mouth on its chest opened up, its wormlike tongue waving.
Courtney, "Mike" and Ezekiel screamed then started running.
"I think it want its egg back!" Ezekiel shouted, holding up a purple egg with multiple spots.
Courtney, "Mike" and Ezekiel continued screaming with a mutation chicken's chasing them, waving its wormlike tongue.
Confessional: Somewhere out there, Tyler had fainted.
Ezekiel: (Tapping his index fingers together) Did I ever really connected with the mutant, eh? Does trying to kill me is their way of affection?
Courtney: (Glared) That was the second time in the row that I have victory slipped away from my grasp! That will be the last challenge I've lost! But nevertheless, elimination has its perk. (Smirk)
Jo: (Smirk) Once again, I won the challenge for my team. As I stated in my audition tape, I'm the best. Everyone should give me the money and bow before me.
All of the contestants had gathered outside the gate with Chris. They were just relieved they didn't have to stay in the "Fun Zone" anymore.
"Kudos for Dawn for resolving the situation with the mother hen," Chris said, smiling. "In return, I'll keep my words and have Chef and the interns to return the eggs back to their respectful families."
Dawn nodded thankfully at Chris, who continued to speak.
"For whoever still trying to remove traumatic memories from their brain, stop and hear this; the Villainous Vultures won the challenge. The Spa Hotel awaits you all but one person. Someone will have to be-"
"I'll stay!" Jo stepped forward, smirking. Brick looked concerned.
Confessional: Home Sweet Mutant!
Jo: Now that one idol has been found, it's more important than ever I'd find the other idol! I'll stay up all night if I've ought to.
Except Jo, the contestants were taking a boat back to the campground.
Standing in the shadow of the deadly forest; a pair of eyes glaring daggers at the boat leaving Boney Island.
It growled while baring its many teeth. Stepping into the light was Fang.
The camera panned out revealing a green claw resting on his right shoulder.
Beach
Brick stared at Boney Island hidden amidst the mist. Zoey placed a hand on his back.
"Jo's a tough girl, Brick," Zoey gave him a small smile. "She can handle anything the island throws at her."
"I'm not worried about it, Zoey. I know she will."
Zoey noticed there was a concerned look on Brick's face. However, she thought she saw something more. "Is there something you want to talk about?"
"Yes, we do," A female voice said.
Brick and Zoey spun around to see Courtney and "Mike" approached them.
Zoey bit the inside of her lips as "Mike" waved her and smiled.
"Hey, Zoey."
"Hey." Zoey put on a smile to not raise suspicion.
Brick looked at Courtney, indicating her to start explaining. "I brought Mike here because I'm bringing him to our alliance. When we've reach the merge together, we'll be in the final four."
Brick grinned. "That's great, Courtney!" He shook "Mike's" hand. "Welcome to our alliance."
"Thanks!" Mike looked at Zoey, his gapped teeth gleamed. "Ya hear that? Our Relationship Finale can happen!" He hugged Zoey, who slowly return a hug.
The others couldn't see Zoey's face, which was good because she doesn't want them to see how anxious she was. The way "Mike" said "Relationship Finale" sounded downright disturbing.
She can hear him breathing to her shoulder.
To her neck.
"Yay, that's great!" Zoey pulled away from "Mike". "Um, I've gotta go to the bathroom. All that running away from the mutants can really get to you." She ran over to the communal bathroom. "Don't wait for me!"
Confessional: Emergency! I ran out of toilet paper!
Zoey: Oh, I can't believe it. I'm scared of Mike! Well, not Mike but really more likes Mal. I know that Mike is still in there. After what Dawn said to me about Mal, I'm getting uncomfortable around him. One thing for sure, I've gotta keep an eye on Mal.
Brick: Unusual for Zoey. I didn't expect this kind of reaction from her. It was like… she was afraid of Mike. Should I get involve? Or let them deal with their problem? Why am I asking to the camera? It's an inanimate object. (The camera tilted down) Ah! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt your feeling! (He tilted the camera back) Feel better now? (The camera remained still) Good! (Smile)
Mal: (Stared at the camera) Why do I have a feeling that someone had just apologised to a camera? (Shook his head) Irrelevant question. The real question is about Zoey. When Courtney told her I'm in the alliance, she doesn't appear to be… pleased. (Stroking his chin) But why how I ponder. (Silence) Does she know about me? (Thinking for a moment before shaking his head) Nah, I doubt it. She's a gullible damsel in distress. (Chuckling and then suddenly stopped) Duncan… (Glaring at the camera)
The McLean's Spa Hotel
"Courtney? Are you serious?" Gwen gave a shock look to the two boys on beds.
Gwen, Trent and Ezekiel were in the boy's bedroom of the Spa Hotel. They were discussing who to eliminate. The boys uttered the same name. A name Gwen didn't want to hear.
"She's only person I can vote for with no regret," Trent explained. "At the challenge, she asked both of us to join her alliance."
"We both said no but then she'd threated me and insulted Trent." Ezekiel added.
"I can't see any reason I want her to stay." Trent shrugged.
"You can't vote off Courtney. I still need more time!" Gwen cried.
"I don't know why you care about her," Ezekiel said. "She has been mean to you all the time, eh."
"I'm with Ezekiel, Gwen," Trent raised a brow at her. "With all due respect, this is kinda unlike you to go through all this trouble to make it up with someone who despite you."
Gwen looked down.
"Why?" Trent asked.
Gwen knew she had to tell them, although it wasn't something she want to bring up often. However, if that was the only way to convince her teammates to not vote for Courtney, so be it. She looked at the confused boys again and took in a deep breath.
"This whole thing started last year – about a month after World Tour was finished. I'd been getting a lot of angry emails from Courtney's fans and Duncney's fans. All had had to do with me stealing Courtney's boyfriend. At first, I put it aside as if they were nothing more than troll emails, but then comes the death threats…"
Trent widened his eyes.
Ezekiel gulped. "Death threats?"
"It was getting harder to ignore them. Whether it from your laptop or your phone. Hell, one time, I stumbled upon someone who happened to be a Courtney's fan. He was shouting at me and then we'd gotten into a physical fight. I spent a day at a hospital while the guy was arrested. Since the incident, I became more reluctant to go outside. I was worried that one day; a crazed Courtney's fan would sneak into my room and kill me in my sleep."
Gwen stopped to gather her breath before continuing.
"Then, the World Tour's rerun came on. I'd watched some of it, but mostly about me and Courtney. That's when I became guilty; I'd betrayed her and kissed her boyfriend behind her back. It'd gotten worse when I had nightmares about it." Gwen sat on a bed across both beds the boys were sitting on.
Trent and Ezekiel exchanged a round-eye glance.
"After having three nightmares, I'd decided to apologise to her. I'd tried calling her, send emails to her. But she'd never reply. About six months later; I'd found out on Sierra's blog that Courtney had agreed to participate in another season. So, I'd called the producers and asked them to have me back for this year. They said yes and here I am."
"That's why you came back?" Trent said. "To stop the death threats and nightmares?"
Gwen stared at the floor. "It weren't just about those."
"It's not?" Trent and Ezekiel cried in unison.
"I checked out her page again and I noticed several posts featured Courtney's lashing out on someone. Haven't you noticed that she became more hostile since Greece?" Gwen asked.
The boys thought about it. Or mainly Trent since Ezekiel barely remembered anything after World Tour. When they found out that they weren't competing for season four, Courtney became enraged. Bridgette; her closet friend at the moment tried to comfort her only to be on a receiving end of her rant.
"She even lashed out at Bridgette." Trent mused.
"By kissing Duncan, it became an act of betrayal," Gwen said. "It destroyed her trust in me and Duncan. I think she might be feeling betrayed by everyone. I feel like it was my fault she became mean to all of us. I couldn't care less if she'd pray to God to send me to Hell. I want her to stop lashing out on everyone and move on."
"Courtney said she wanted to move on too, but she said that everyone kept reminding her." Ezekiel pointed out.
Gwen blinked. She didn't expect to hear that. "Guess she and I want the same thing." Gwen murmured.
"Wow, Gwen," Trent said. "I have no idea it's that important... and it's that bad."
"I don't want the 'love triangle' to plagues her future." Gwen stood up and looked down at her teammates. "I know I'm asking a lot, but for tonight, do not vote for Courtney! Please…" She clasped her hands and gave them a pleading look.
Trent and Ezekiel exchanged glances. They made a mental decision together then looking back at Gwen.
"I hope you'll succeed." Trent gave Gwen a smile. "I won't vote for her."
Ezekiel nodded. "Same here, eh."
Gwen smiled in relief. "Thank you, guys. I totally own you one."
While Trent asked who Gwen was voting for, standing in the hallway outside the doorway, Courtney was dumbfounded.
Confessional: I am dumb and I found a dumbfounded dumbass!
Courtney: All Gwen really want is for both of us to move on? (Silence as she stared at the wall)
In the girls' bedroom of the Spa Hotel, Sierra watched Dawn put on her green backpack. The fan girl raised a brow.
"What's with the backpack?" Sierra asked.
Dawn tightened the straps. "They contained my most precious items. If I leave, the mysterious villain would destroy it."
"What you've got in your bag?"
"More books," Dawn replied. "Some of them are more personal than others. I was surprised our mystery villain didn't burn them all."
"You're still not going to tell me who it is?"
Dawn shook her head. "I'm afraid I cannot. Nevertheless, I have a plan to diminish their goal." Her teal eyes flickered.
"How?"
Bonfire Ceremony
The sun was disappearing behind the area of forest while the moon was already in the sky. Chris leaned against the pedestal, watching both teams sat down on the Peanut Gallery or the log stumps. Zoey glanced at Duncan, who was sitting next to her.
She gently elbowed Duncan. "Duncan?" Zoey whispered.
Duncan looked at her. "What?"
"Did you tell anyone about… him?" Zoey asked.
Duncan knew exactly who Zoey was referring to. "I told Gwen and Trent. I haven't been able to tell anyone else."
"You need to stop. Dawn told me that if everyone knew, something bad will happen to him."
"What are you guys talking about?" Brick asked, while Eva stared at the pair.
Duncan opened his mouth when Zoey placed her hand over it. "We were talking about Duncan's brand new car back home! If everyone knew, they could damage it."
Duncan looked annoyed at Zoey, who chuckled sheepishly.
Confessional: It is a car that's shaped like a zipper? No wait, that's a boat…
Duncan: Why the girls want him to stay? If he does, he'll cause serious trouble! Fuck them. By tomorrow, everyone will know!
Chris grinned at the Villainous Vultures. "Congrats on the victory, villains!" He looked at Eva. "Eva, since you tipped over three eggs into your team's basket, you win a special prize that'll come in handy in the next challenge. But I'm keeping it a secret till then, I mean, why spoil the surprise?"
Eva glared at the sadist host.
"Tonight, a hero goes home." Chris turned to the heroes. "Time to vote."
Confessional: At long as Donald Trump isn't the new President, I'm good.
Ezekiel: I can relate to Gwen about the death threats, eh. I'll grant her wish. But if I'm not voting for Courtney, who else I'm gonna choose? (Scratching his toque)
Sierra: (Looking uncertain at the photo)
Mal: (Drawn an X on a photo and then revealed it to be Dawn) Teleport away while you can, Dawn. It's your only chance of seeing Cameron again.
Gwen: (Showing a photo of Mike with an X on it) I might be casting a stray vote, but anyone who put me off will be off the island.
"I've tallied the votes," Chris said, holding two photos. "To be frank, the first two I'm calling out to be safe is WAY more shocking than tonight's flushee." He revealed photos of Courtney and Gwen. "Courtney and Gwen!"
The contestants gasped. None were more dumbfounded than Courtney and Gwen.
"You're both safe with no votes." Chris threw two marshmallows to Gwen and Courtney who exchanged a round-eye glance.
Confessional: Achievement unlocked: Safe contestant is more shocking than the eliminated contestant!
Gwen: (Blink) I have no votes? Courtney didn't vote for me?
Courtney: Gwen's conversation with Trent and Ezekiel had given me some thoughts; a LOT of thought. It'd also brought back to that conversation with Zoey. (Silence for a minute) It's time for me to be truly mature.
"The next to be safe are Trent and Ezekiel!" Chris threw two marshmallows to Trent and Ezekiel's who exchanged a high-five.
"So does Sierra!" Chris threw a marshmallow to Sierra, who looked worriedly at the bottom two.
"Mike" shifted in his seat anxiously. He glanced at Dawn and raised a brow. She wasn't showing any sign of nervousness as if she was bored. It was very hard for him to read anything on Dawn.
Chris grinned, holding one final photo. "Mike the Weirdo and Dawn the even more Weirdo! One of you gathered more votes than the other. Tonight's flushee is…

"Dawn!" He revealed a photo of Dawn and then threw the marshmallow to "Mike".
"Mike" grinned as he received his marshmallow. He glanced at Dawn. Surprising enough, she looked content. "You're okay, Dawn?" He asked.
"I'm fine," Dawn showed a small smile, which seemed to put him off. "If anything, I'm quite relieved I was eliminated. My opposite had caused everlasting damage to the forest. I had brought shame to the community."
"Community?" Trent whispered to Ezekiel, who shrugged.
"My nightmare from last night had foreboded me that my presence here if any longer will spread more villainous shadow upon the nature. I believe you have come to conclusion who I voted for."
Dawn took a breath and then continued talking.
"Earlier today, my friend and I had discovered a sanctuary for all the mutant creatures." Her lips curled into a smile and clasped her hands in happiness. "It was so beautiful. They has evolved-" Chris placed a hand over Dawn's hand.
"I'm gonna stop you right there before you make another one of your long speeches about nature, AGAIN! Villainous Vultures, the luxuries awaits you. Dawn, the toilet awaits you!"
The Villainous Vultures headed to the Spa Hotel. Eva and Duncan were the only one thrilled as Brick, Zoey and even Scott were quite sad that their friend was eliminated.
The Heroic Hamsters started following Chris to the giant toilet.
Dawn walked beside Sierra. "Thank you." She whispered to Sierra.
Sierra showed a small smile.
Confessional: If the votes go exactly as we've wanted it, World Tour would've been popular!
Sierra: Dawn asked me to vote for her because she has a plan to eradicate the perpetrator's plan. I kept persisting to find out who's the perpetrator and she clammed up! I became more demanding and started threating her when she placed her hand on my shoulder and I calm down. (Clasping her hands and her face was filled with bliss) She told me to go to my happy place. My daddy was handing me over to Cody to tie the knot at our wedding, surrounded by our loved one. The penguins from Madagascar placed Chris McLean in the cannon and when he blasted off, he exploded into pieces and turned into beautiful bloody fireworks. (Stared at the camera) What? I like those penguins!
Flush of Shame
The Heroic Hamsters watched Dawn in the toilet as they all bid their farewells. Dawn waved, smiling.
"Farewell, my fellow teammates," Dawn said. "I wish you good fortune for most of you." She nodded at Chris, who pressed a button. Not a sound, Dawn was twirling downward until she'd vanished. Then the toilet splashed water all over his team except for Chris, who was holding an umbrella.
Ezekiel coughed up water before speaking. "Most of us? Why did she say that?"
Unbeknownst to the others, Mike smirked.
Confessional: Can the Flush of Shame be used as an actual toilet?
Mal: Knew Dawn would be too emotional to stay. (Mimic) "Oh, woe of me! My ultimate power had burnt down my stupid precious forest! (Cackling) I was in the bottom two tonight, but why? If Dawn voted for herself, who did?
Chris faced the heroes as he shook off the water from his umbrella. "Dawn was a perfect example that being emotional can cause your downfall. This game has no room for emotion except anger, fear, suspicion and betrayal. You may all head back to the cabin."
The team was heading toward the cabin when Trent was staring at the back of "Mike's" head.
Confessional: Does he have x-ray visions?
Trent: I voted for Mike. I had to vote for someone. I didn't tell the others about him because Mike and I are gonna talk.
Playa Des Losers
Dawn popped her head above the water, coughing. Once regaining her breathing, she felt the backpack assuring it was still with her. She exhaled a sigh of relief. She looked up to find out where she was. She was in a large swimming pool with a Jacuzzi nearby. She was at a luxurious five stars resort. The sun had vanished and amongst the drifting clouds, the stars were shining in the sky.
"I'm at the Playa Des Losers?" Dawn said.
"That's right," A female voice said.
Dawn spun around to see a female intern was getting up from the chair. She can see braces in her teeth, which would explained the slight lisp in her voice.
"You need to wait out here for a bit until everyone inside has finished watching the episode." The female intern explained.
Dawn swam over and walked up the underwater stairs out of the pool. She felt heavy as the water pattered to the tiled floor. She pushed her soggy bangs aside. "May I head over to the beach while I wait?" She asked, politely.
"At long as you're not trying to get back to the island, by all means." The female intern shrugged.
"Why I want to return to the island when I'd eliminated myself?"
The female intern chuckled. "Good point."
She walked away, leaving Dawn to her own device.
Dawn headed over to the beach. Believing she was alone, she removed her backpack and fished out a ziplock bag containing candles. She zipped open the bag and felt the candles. She smiled. "Oh, good. They're dry."
One by one, she pulled out the candles and planted them in sand. She pulled out another ziplock bag but with a box of matches. After failing twice, she'd finally managed to light the match and lit all ten candles. She blew out the match and then pulled out a third ziplock bag. It was the strangest too. It contained an envelope and a piece of dark brown hair.
She surveyed the circle she made; illuminated by the candles. She stared at the items in her hands. "I hope my plan all goes well."
Stepping into the circle, she get into meditating position, placed the envelope on her lap, placed a hand to her heart and another pressed the hair against her forehead. She took a deep breath and started chanting.
"Videntus omnium." Her eyes glowed bright blue. "Magister mentium. Magnesium ad hominem." The palm on her forehead started glowing, winds blowing against her soaking, cold body. "Magnum opus. Habeas corpus!" The winds blew out all the candles. "Inceptus Nolanus overratus!" Her heart pulsed more than it ever had in her whole life. "Magister mentium! Magister mentium! MAGISTER MENTIUM!"
For the second time today, the universe had stop.
As if she was unleashing a Hyper Beam, teal aura exiting her mouth and flew into the night sky. Even though her body was trembling, her hands were still on her forehead and her heart. Her ears were filled with every conscious moment of her life.
In a snap, her eyes were no longer glowing. She flopped to the ground; her arms fell to the sides and the envelope somehow remained on her lap. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head.
The gentle waves overlapped another waves. The winds blew through Dawn's soaked hair. Apart from those, it was quiet.
If someone went outside and noticed Dawn in a shocking condition, they wouldn't notice it. No one can see it. No one can see the teal aura spun around and moved toward the campground.
Campground
"Mike" was whistling "In the Hall of the Mountain King" as he was on his way to the communal bathroom.
Unbeknownst to him, a mysterious aura floated toward him and inserted into his mind. "Mike's" entire body twitched and screamed weirdly, dropping his fake voice as it happened. "AAARGGgguuurrrooo!" He stopped twitching and gripped his head, trying to understand what just happened.
"What the hell are you doing?" A female voice said.
"Mike" spun around to see Eva on the balcony of the Spa Hotel, showing the same WTF expression.
"Mike" blinked and meekly shrugged. "I don't know." He showed the same WTF expression.
"Huh… weirdo." Eva rolled her eyes before walking back inside.
"Mike" rubbed his head as he continued to walk toward the communal bathroom.
What the hell was that?
Unknown?
It was dark, nothing to see. Not even your hands.
Then she opened her eyes.
Dawn was staring at the red alienlike ceiling. Her hands felt something firm but soft at the same time. Felt like a soaked ground on a rainy day. She sat up and her mouth dropped at her whereabouts.
Slowly, her mouth curled into a grin and burst into a fit of childlike giggles like an excited child received the greatest present in their life.
She did it. Against all odds, she managed to be exactly where she needed to be.
She's inside Mike's mind.
"It's worked!" She shouted in triumphant. She stood up and looked around the mindscapes. "Wow…"
Urgent information went red alert in her mind. She snapped out of her childlike wonder, knowing there was an important mission to do. "Oh! I mustn't protract myself." She looked around. "Fear not, Mike, I'm coming to help!" She started running to search for her enslaved friend.

This chapter get a special reward for being the longest chapter I've ever written! (The stadium filled with imaginary crowd cheered)
While you guys are cheering, I'm going to hide in my brand new bomb shelter! Does anybody have a box of Cuban cigars?
When Mike was on his subconscious adventure and Mal was causing chaos, I imagined Dawn to be involved in the plot. With that, and being a Robbed Goddess, I brought her in the game. This allowed her to develop a relationship with Cameron, a friendship with Sierra and a plot with Mike/Mal. I wanted to show off her supernatural abilities as it was hinted several times during the canon. It was showing sides of her we had never seen before and she represented a theme to my story.
Fun Fact: Ironically, she was the first Non-Star I'd planned to be in merge. She was going to do exactly as she had done at the end of this episode. I put her here because this is a good place for her to be out and for the others to have more screentimes.
Don't worry, Dawn's fans, she may be out of the game, but she's NOT out of the story.
This episode had provided two new elements to this story.
Flashback – One of the mistakes the writers made was not showing many interactions with Duncan and Mal. I don't know if they'd spoken at all. I installed a flashback to show Duncan and Mal's, and to motivate Duncan to warn the others.
Mutants – I won't say too much dues to possible spoiler. They're going to matter and will play some pretty big roles in the near future. Same goes to Noirwor…
GASP! Courtney didn't vote for Gwen! How will that affect them?!
DOUBLE GASP! Zoey knew about Mal now! She was planned to know Mal before merge. Viewers berated her for being too gullible. Even Lindsay would understand the situation.
Hopefully, I'll never have to write a chapter THAT long again! I have no idea when the next chapter will be out. It'll be out when it's ready. Constructional criticism is much appreciates. I'd be able to know if there's any issue I need to deal with.
Dawn: (Smile) Review to bring peace to Mother Earth's children and to vanquish evil.
