Lovers gonna love. Haters gonna hate. Potatoes gonna potato.
Sorry about not being descriptive about the hotel, I've never been to the Hotel Danmark. {I found it on Google.}
Dear Puck,
If you get this note it means that you came, it means that you still love me. Meet me on the left side of the pool at midnight.
Love, Sabrina
I stared at my clock impatiently. It was five minutes until midnight.
And Sabrina still hadn't shown up. Which was a bit weird since she likes to be early for EVERYTHING! (Even school!)
Another thing that seemed a bit weird was that the note was typed on a computer and printed out. Sabrina would have written me that note herself.
Maybe it's not Sabrina...
I stood up to leave before it was too late.
The door to the pool opened.
Looks like it's already too late.
"Puck."
I stared at the figure approaching me. "Mustardseed."
Mustardseed hugged me before I could object to it. "I've missed you, brother," he said. "And so has your lovely bride."
I flinched and pulled away. "When will you quit calling Sabrina that?" I answered. "We weren't even close to being engaged."
Mustardseed raised his eyebrows. "Where have you been all this time?" he asked.
I looked away from him. "Where's Sabrina?" I asked.
"Searching for you," Mustardseed replied quietly.
"Oh."
"Why did you leave her?" Mustardseed asked. "She needs you more then either of you think."
I narrowed my eyes at him suddenly. "You tricked me!" I exclaimed. "You're the one who's been sending me those emails, not Sabrina!"
Mustardseed managed to smile and nodded. "Sabrina said that you never even used your email so there was no point in trying," he said. "Especially since we couldn't find you using magic."
"But you ignored her and sent me a bunch of emails that would make me feel guilty," I muttered.
"From my email and Daphne's too," Mustardseed added.
I groaned and shook my head. "What do you want from me, Mustardseed?" I asked.
"I want you to come home," Mustardseed answered and gave me those stupid guilting little-brother eyes.
"Stop!" I shut my eyes tightly. "You know I hate it when you give me those eyes!"
"Puck, at least tell me why you left," Mustardseed begged. "I want to understand why you did it."
I sighed and opened my eyes. "You'll never look at me the same," I told him.
"I don't think I ever can anyway," Mustardseed answered.
I faced away from my little brother. "Samantha."
"WHAT?!" Mustardseed yelled. He turned me around to face him. "What do you mean 'Samantha'?!"
I couldn't look him in the eyes as I explained. "She sent me a letter asking me to meet her," I mumbled. "And... I still love Samantha, Mustardseed."
Mustardseed's eyes were full of disbelief. "You mean you left Sabrina, the girl who's always been there for you since you met her, for Samantha, the girl who told you that she loved you and then left you for Peter Pan?!"
"... Yeah."
"I can't believe you!" Mustardseed exploded and began to pace. "How can you still love Samantha after everything that she's done to you?!"
I plopped down on the ground and put my hand in my hands. "I don't know, OK?" I answered. "I'm a really screwed up person!"
Mustardseed put his hand on my shoulder. "But you still love Sabrina," he said quietly. "Or else you wouldn't be here."
I nodded miserably. "I love both of them!"
Mustardseed kneeled down beside me. "You can't have both of them," he pointed out.
"I know that!" I exclaimed.
"I just want you to be happy, brother," Mustardseed sighed and closed his eyes.
"Don't you think I wanna be happy?" I mumbled.
Mustardseed sat down kinda awkwardly. "Puck, you have to make a choice," he told me.
I shrugged. "I think I kind of already did," I answered and glanced in the direction of my hotel room where Samantha was sleeping peacefully.
"But was it the right choice?" Mustardseed asked.
I groaned and put my head in my hands again. "I don't know, Mustardseed!" I cried out. "I don't know what I want or what's even the right choice!"
Mustardseed wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Don't worry, brother, you'll make the right choice in the end," he assured me.
"How do you know?" I asked. "What if I regret the choice that I make?"
"Do you really want to be with Samantha?" Mustardseed asked. "Or Sabrina."
I pushed him away. "Quit asking me that question!" I exclaimed. "I already said that I don't know what I want!"
Mustardseed sighed and stood up. "I only came to Denmark to see you," he said. "And if you don't know what you want yet, I won't make you come home with me."
I raised my eyebrows. "Really?"
Mustardseed nodded and offered me his hand to get up. "Make your choice before coming home."
I stood up and nodded.
"I won't tell Sabrina that I saw you," Mustardseed promised. "Unless you want me to."
I shook my head. "I don't want her to know," I answered.
Mustardseed nodded and turned to leave. "Don't lose contact with me again please," he begged.
I nodded and took out my phone. I quickly sent him a text. "There, now you have my number."
Mustardseed suddenly gave me another hug.
"Mustardseed!" I groaned. "Guys hugging is not cool."
Mustardseed pulled away and rolled his eyes. "Good-bye, brother," he replied.
I nodded and put my hands in my pockets. "Bye."
Mustardseed opened the pool door and then turned to look at me. "One last word of advice," he said.
"What?" I asked.
"Don't wait too long to make your choice," Mustardseed told me. "Because Sabrina will move on without you."
Sorry, Reader, it's not time for a Puckabrina meeting yet, it hasn't been 5 years!
