Lita woke up the next morning in a panic. She had yet another nightmare and this time she could thank that voice-mail that Matt left her the day before. She was even more scared than before because this time, she saw no one in the room with her. Wasn't John with her last night? Why wasn't he here now? None of her friends ever left her by herself in that room without telling her and that too not for that long. She desperately wanted to scream out for help, but wasn't able to. Her mouth opened, buy no sound came out. And that's when negative thoughts began to flood her mind.

What if Matt found her? What if Matt was here and hiding and waiting for the perfect moment to show himself? What if he already got to John and did something terrible to him? And she was next. Thoughts of her first nightmare in that room began to hit her and that's when she was finally able to let out the scream she wasn't able to get out before.

John, who was in the bathroom when he heard Lita scream, ran out ans rushed towards to the terrified redhead who was now hysterically crying.

"What happened?" He asked her as he cautiously made his way closer to her.

Lita looked up at him in relief when she heard him and wiped at her tears when she was able to stop crying. She wasn't alone and nothing happened to him. She was about to say something but noticed something on his shirtless body which caught her attention. She couldn't help but stare at something in particular on his body.

John was confused why Lita was staring at. Him quickly realized he wasn't wearing a shirt, but he was still confused. He was about to move to get his shirt that was placed on the other bed in the room, but Lita had other plans. She moved a little closer to his standing form and lifted her right hand with her fingertips barely touching a specific part on his abdomen which made him flinch a little and her realize what she was doing.

"Sorry," she replied as she quickly removed her hand from him and looked away in embarrassment. He said nothing as he went to the bed to get his shirt and put it back on.

"He did this to you when you tried getting to your mom. That's a scar from the bullet wound when he shot you, right?" Lita asked still not looking at John. He knew she was referring to his mom's ex.

He nodded but noticed she wasn't looking at him so he gave her a verbal response. "Yea."

"That can happen again," Lita said as she looked back at him, noticing that he was now fully clothed. "Matt is fully capable of doing that to you and worse."

"He won't," John insisted.

"Why are you helping me? You don't have to do this. You can back out now and save yourself, I won't blame you."

John shook his head. "That's not gonna happen so don't try to get me to leave. We're friends. Maybe we weren't friends before, but we are now and I don't care what you say, I'm in this for the long haul. I already told you that."

Lita said nothing for a while as she looked away once again. "Where were you?" Lita asked after she looked over at him.

"Taking a shower," he replied. "I was getting dressed when I heard you scream." That would explain why he wasn't wearing a shirt when he came back in the room. "What happened?"

"I had another nightmare where Matt found us and I really think he did this time. He knows where we're at. I just know it. That message he left me. 'Every breath you take, every move you make, I'll be watching you'. He knows."

"I told you he's just trying to freak you out and it worked. He doesn't know, how could he?"

Lita shrugged. "I don't know, but I know he knows. I just know it."

"If he knew where you were, then wouldn't he come here?"

"No," Lita shook her head. "He would play mind games like he is now and come when I least expect it. You don't know him, I do." John was about to say something, but she wouldn't let him when she continued. "I want to go back. It's been enough hiding out here. Maybe I can move to a place of my own. He thinks he can't find me in Atlanta right now, so he won't even know I'm back."

"No," John interrupted before she could get further. "It's not safe right now. And do you really want to be on your own right now? You were screaming right now when you thought you were alone. As much as you won't like what I'm about to say, I have to. We have to wait until Matt's obsession with you dies down."

"That's never going to happen. He's not going to stop until I'm dead. He told me he would not stop looking for me until he killed me if I ever left like this."

"Whatever the case, you're not going back right now. We're going to wait a bit. Then you can go home with either me or Dawn and Edge. Whatever you prefer. I have an extra room, I wouldn't mind."

"No. I want to be independent again. I don't want to live scared al my life. I don't need babysitters for the rest of my life."

"That's not what I'm saying. Just until you're fine being with yourself. But for now, we're staying put here."

"Fine," Lita reluctantly agreed. It wasn't like she could do anything else. "Do you think we could possibly get out of here for a while today? I'm sick and tired of being cooped up in here."

"You sure you ready for that? Just now you were scared that Matt found you and now you want to go out?"

"I don't know," Lita shrugged, "But I'm just sick of being here. I just want to leave for a bit."

"Okay, but I'm going to ask Edge to find out if Matt is at work like he's supposed to be and we'll go around that time and don't five me that look," he said when she looked at him annoyed. "We have to be cautious."

Lita sighed. "I know. I'm just tired of this."

John nodded and then changed the subject a little bit to try and get her mood to change. "Do you have anywhere or anything in mind that you want to go or do?"

"Nope," Lita shook her head. "I really don't care as long as we get out of here for a while."

"There's a Chuck E Cheese's around here. You wanna go there?" John joked which earned him a look like he was strange. He couldn't help but laugh at the look on her face.

Lita rolled her eyes. "I wasn't aware we were five."

"I was kidding. What do you want to do though?"

"Like I said, I don't care as long as it's something fun."

John nodded and thought of a few suggestions. "Movies?" She shook her head. "Skating?" She thought about it for a moment and then shook her head once again. "Mini holding?" She scrunched her nose in disgust and he took that as another 'no'. "Bowling?" He was waiting for her to shake her head again, but was surprised when she nodded.

"Okay. But just know this, I'm very good and you're going to lose."

John snorted. "Getting cocky already I see."

Lita decided to ignore him. "And then maybe we could grab a bite to eat."

"Is this your way of asking me out? Saying you want-" He stopped himself when he realized it was a poor joke to make at the time given her circumstances. He was about to apologize but she said something which surprised him.

"Psht. You wish." He was relieved she didn't look upset by his innocent comment. Her mood had definitely seemed to change a lot with a span of the half hour they had been talking. At least she felt better.

"I'm gonna take a shower," she said as she got up out from the bed.

"Okay. I'll go get some breakfast. I won't take long. You'll be okay, right?" She nodded before going in the bathroom to take a shower like she said after she got her clothes together for the day. He waited to hear the shower turn on before he left to do as he said, making sure he locked the door.

Meanwhile in Atlanta, Matt was pretty glad with what he heard Edge and Dawn talk about earlier that morning when he was watching footage from last night. Apparently, Lita did check her messages and was scared which was a win in Matt's mind. He was going to keep getting in her mind like that until he found her and finally came face to face with her once again. Now he was waiting to hear some reaction to his trip to Savannah the night before.

But currently, Matt was at a cafe he remembered Melina worked in as a waitress. Luckily for him, nothing had changed since the last he saw her there last year. Now he hoping he could somehow get Melina to help him find where Lita was without her catching on.

"Hi. My name is Melina, I'll be your waitress for the day. What can I get you?"

Matt tried to hide the smirk that was threatening to appear on his face when he looked up from the menu and at the woman who looked ready to write down his order. "Yea, hi." He was about to say more, but fortunately for him, Melina thought he looked familiar.

"Have I seen you somewhere before? Do I know you from somewhere?" Melina asked interrupting him before he could say anything. "You look very familiar."

Matt shrugged as he pretended to not know who the brunette was. "I don't know, but you look familiar too."

Melina thought about it for a moment and then she remembered. "Oh! You're Lita's boyfriend, right? I think I saw you at Dawn and Edge's house once."

"Ex-boyfriend," Matt corrected her, pretending to look upset.

"What happened?" Melina asked with concern.

"I had a suspicion she cheated one me." It didn't take long for Matt to come up with something he knew would anger the woman and probably get her to help him. "With Edge's friend. I don't remember his name right now."

"John?" Melina asked, hoping he would say no.

"Yea." He tried not to smile when Melina looked upset at that. "She used to sneak around with him with Dawns help. They got caught, so I broke up with her and I'm pretty sure she's still with him."

So is this why John kept trying to get rid of me? Melina thought to herself and said nothing.

"Do you still talk to her? Do you know where she is? She's not answering my calls and she left some things at my house I'm pretty sure she would want back."

"Like what?"

"Personal items," came Matt's simple reply. "Do you know where she's at? I'm pretty sure she needs those things."

"Um no, I don't."

"Do you still talk to John or Dawn?"

"Sometimes."

"Maybe you could ask one of them where she's at. And I really want to talk to her as well."

"Why is she avoiding you?"

"Why do you think?" Matt asked, trying not to show how frustrated he was with her inability to agree to help him. "She's embarrassed of her actions and doesn't want to talk to me."

Melina nodded. "Probably." She said nothing for a moment and then spoke again. "Why do you need my help? Why can't you ask one of them?"

"They won't tell me," Matt replied as calm as possible. He felt the urge to scream at her."

"Okay," Melina finally agreed after a while. "I'll ask one of them if they know where she's at? You want her number or something?"

"Whatever you can find. I just want to give her stuff back and talk to her. Just don't tell whoever you asked that you're asking her whereabouts for me. She probably told them not to tell me."

"Okay."

It was quiet for a moment before Melina took his order and left. Matt didn't think Dawn or John would tell Melina where Lita was, but maybe if she kept asking, they could give her hints. Maybe he would just have to wait until one of them said something while he taped them. Or maybe he would find out when the outcome of what he did in Savannah occurred and Lita found out. Whatever the case, he was hoping he would find her sooner rather than later.

"That was fun," Lita said when she and John arrived back at the motel later that evening after they spent the afternoon out. "Thanks. I needed that." She was glad to finally get out of that room and John thought she looked like she had a good time. He was happy she was in a much better mood than she was that morning. To his surprise and relief, she didn't get scared or paranoid even once while they were out in public. But that probably had a lot to do with Edge confirming that he saw Matt at the police station so he was at work and nowhere near them.

"Don't mention it. I had a great time."

"Yea, I'm sure you haven't had time to do anything yourself either when all you do is work and then come to babysitting duty on your days off."

"Keep calling me your babysitter and next time we'll be going to Chuck E Cheese," John joked which earned him a laugh from the redhead with him joining her soon after.

"Fine," Lita said after they calmed down. "I won't call you that anymore."

"Thank you. That's all I ask." He was about to say more, but was interrupted by the ringing of a phone which they soon found out belonged to her.

"It's my mom," Lita said before she answered the phone, which was the prepaid phone her friends got for her. There was no way she was going to turn her other phone again until after she changed that number and someone got rid of all of those messages from Matt for her. "Hello?" She answered the phone and was immediately met by her mom's panicking voice. "Wait, calm down. Talk slowly. What happened? What's wrong?"

"Dad?" Lita said when she heard her father take the phone from her mother. "What happened?" She asked concerned. "Why was mom talking like that? Is she crying?"

John listened intently to Lita's part of the conversation. He watched as her face changed from the worried look she had on her face to a shocked and frightened expression and then she looked like she was about to cry. He walked over to her and took the phone from her hands just when it was just about to fall out of her hold. He put the speaker against his ear, expecting to hear her dad, but he heard the dial tone instead. He had no idea what just happened. All he saw was Lita crying. Obviously something terrible happened. He was just going to wait for her to tell him.
