PPG RRB: Good Bad Thief and Bad Good Cop: Preview...?

I'm my own person. I update the crap I call fanfiction whenever I want. I'm just a pro like that. xD

But no seriously: here's a new story idea! Someone said they would like a greens preview fic, SO NOW YOU HAVE ONE!

Yaaaay...? *waves hands awkwardly*

...Okay; moving on:

Summary: "But we were promised Brick..." the man tried to say, but Butch wouldn't even let him finish. "Brick's been injured and is off the case. I'm on." Then he smirked. "Besides, you get what you can take: instead of a good good cop, you get a bad good cop."

"What the hell are you doing?"

Butch looked up, surprised to hear his brother's harsh tone. He raised an eyebrow as he lifted his hat off of his head. "Ooh, it's that tone." He waved his hands. "And I'm sleeping, okay?"

His brother sighed, leaning against the doorframe and crossing his arms. "Butch, you're working. At the rate you're going, you'll be fired. You're such a bad cop."

"Aww, Brick; you flatter me. And if you know what I'm doing, then don't ask." Butch grinned, dropping his feet from the desk. "And I like to call myself..." He paused dramatically. "A bad good cop."

Brick rolled his eyes in response. "You flatter yourself."

"I try," Butch smirked back.

"If only you try when you're working," Brick remarked, walking over to Butch and slapping down a folder. "Look at this."

Butch raised an eyebrow. "What's up?"

"You'll find out soon enough." Brick's mouth remained in a tight frown. "You should read the news more."

"The font's too tiny," Butch shot back, grabbing the file and flipping it open. He pulled out some papers and scanned the titles. "'One of the Biggest Thefts in the History of Townsville'?" he read aloud.

"So you can read. I never knew," Brick muttered sarcastically. Butch shot him a look and his brother coughed, grabbing one of the papers and holding it up. "Nearly three million dollars were stolen from the Morbucks' More Bucks Bank. The Six Gems of Reality were stolen from the Museum of Townsville as well."

Butch scanned the papers again, snatching one of them from his brother. "Says here that it was a six-person heist."

"Very elaborate," Brick confirmed with a nod. "I've been assigned to this case."

"Good for you," Butch said flatly, clapping his hands. "Much impressed. So wow."

Brick rolled his eyes. "If you didn't hang out on the Internet so much reading Doge memes, maybe you'd actually know about current events," he snapped back.

Butch put his hands up, commenting, "Ooh; touchy touchy, much?"

Brick was about to growl something back in reply, but didn't have the chance to. The radio at his belt buzzed just then, and Brick picked up. "Brick speaking." Pause. "New robbery?" Another pause. "Roger." One last pause. "I'll be right there. See you later."

When he was done, Butch folded his hands together and smiled at his brother. "So, are you heading out?"

"Looks like it." Brick sighed and grabbed his uniform jacket from a hook on the wall. He paused to wag his finger at Butch. "Try to stay outta trouble."

"You know I'd never do anything troublesome," Butch replied, holding his hands up. "Just trust me."

Brick rolled his eyes and walked out the door. "I wish I could."

"You're going in first. Got it?" A girl wearing a slick black-and-pink suit turned to her companion, removing the pink-framed goggles from her eyes.

"I got it, Leader Girl. Stop going over the plan again and again," the other girl muttered, rolling her eyes as she pulled off her green goggles. They were standing on a roof, staring at the big mansion in front of them with a pair of binoculars.

The "Leader Girl" folded her arms. "Alright then. What is the plan?"

"I sneak in and take the gem, and you and the others will go down to serve as a distraction, dressed as maids. As you guys cover me, I'll be busy going past laser security, cameras, and other means of protection. Finally, I'll pick the safe and send you guys a message that it's time to leave," the other girl replied automatically.

Her companion nodded. "And do you know what the message is?"

"Fireworks; I know." She put her binoculars away and smirked. "Let's do this."

"Careful, BC; we don't want you to mess this all up."

"Oh relax. I'm a pro at this." She snapped her goggles back onto her eyes, and then she jumped off the building wall they were standing on.

Brick slammed his door shut, walking out of the car. "What's going on exactly?" he demanded, pulling his hat down tighter over his head. From the other door, Elmer, Brick's partner, climbed out.

"The thieves are targeting this mansion. There's a rare gem inside, all the way from India. The owner is really worried," Elmer explained. He had been the one who'd contacted Brick. "We got a warning from one of the maids when she saw the girls in the courtyard. A man was shot."

"Shit," Brick muttered, already stalking toward the doors of the mansion. He turned around to the cops surrounding them that had come as back-up. "Listen up!" he barked, folding his arms. "This is an attempted robbery. A man has been shot. These thieves are armed and dangerous. I repeat: they are armed and dangerous. Do you understand?"

"Yessir!" they shouted back.

"Now why the fuck are you still standing here? Get in there!" Brick commanded. The cops immediately moved into the building. Brick turned to Elmer. "Come on; let's go."

Elmer swallowed, obviously nervous as he tugged at his shirt collar. "Brick...do you think we'll make it out alive?"

Brick paused to stare at his friend and partner. "I don't think we will..." he began, making Elmer look panicked. But then he murmured, "I know we will." Then he spun around, grabbing the door handles. "Now come on, you scardey-cat; let's go catch us some thieves."

As they walked inside, Brick looked around, holding up his pistol. The place looked clear, so he gestured for Elmer to follow. The two of them slowly made it through the large house.

In one room, a butler was gasping on the floor. Paramedics surrounded him, treating a wound. "That's the man they shot," a doctor explained.

Brick studied the bullet hole. "They used a regular pistol. It looks like the bullets are from the darker side of Townsville's streets. The blood is still fresh. They couldn't have gone far."

"Jeez, you're good at this," Elmer breathed. He was having trouble getting air in; he was so nervous.

Brick shrugged. "I've been playing the game for quite awhile now. I try."

Elmer nodded, staying behind Brick as they walked into another room. "This looks like the living room," Elmer observed, "it—"

"Get down!" Brick hissed, shoving his friend down behind a sofa.

"What's wrong?" Elmer whispered, shaking. His glasses slid down his sweaty nose, and he had to push them back up.

"Unknown people," Brick muttered.

"What the hell happened, BC!?" shouted a girl with brown hair. She had her hair in a high ponytail, and was dressed in a maid's uniform. Her eyes looked like a surprisingly bright orange.

"Hey, at least I got the damn ruby!" shouted the girl who'd been called "BC", running with the maid. She carried a big bright-red gem in her arms. She wore a sleek full-body black suit with some green, and she had goggles.

"You fucked up badly this time. How the hell did you manage to tip the cops off!?" the maid demanded.

"You guys didn't tell me there was a butler who worked the late-night shift near the gem!"

"We didn't know!"

"There; it wasn't entirely my fault!"

Brick glanced at Elmer. "They're accomplices."

"I can see that, at least," Elmer whispered back. "Do we arrest them?"

Brick shook his head. "Wait. We need to see if they're armed more heavily than we are."

"That's reasonable," Elmer agreed, looking relieved.

The maid wrung her hands. "I can't believe you shot him. His screaming and your shooting woke up the whole mansion! Now look; the cops are here and we're surrounded."

"I have the damn gem, okay!?" BC shoved the maid girl as they continued to run out of the living room.

"So she's the one with the pistol. Elmer, we're following them." Brick stood up and cocked his gun, glaring at the doorway. Elmer swallowed before following his partner.

They followed the girls down the hallway and toward a door. The four people made it out into the courtyard of the mansion. BC was passing the ruby to the four other girls on the wall when Brick and Elmer caught up.

Brick let out a low growl, jumping out into the open and whipping out his gun. "Freeze! Drop your weapons and put down the ruby! Get down with your hands on your head!" he shouted.

The girl thieves spun around, all clearly surprised to have been caught.

"BC!" snapped the maid through gritted teeth, glaring at her companion.

"Oh give it a rest." BC glared back at the maid, before turning to Brick and the now visible Elmer. "Okay, so here we have two boys playing policeman. How cute." Her expression darkened behind her goggles. "But let's be honest here...: you can't catch us."

"You want to bet?" Brick's own glare intensified.

"Don't provoke him," Elmer squeaked. "Brick has been an outstanding officer since he was twelve, when he did some great work out in the field. When he was fifteen, he received a reward for his forever great work. He's been receiving such rewards for the past few years, and he is the efficiently trained son of revered commissioner Mojo Jojo."

"Okay, sure—that's nice and all; but can he fight?" BC smashed her fists together. "Can he actually catch anything?"

"I can catch fish," Brick said sarcastically. But then his gaze turned serious again. "Of course I can catch criminals, you little prick—criminals like you. There's a reason I get awards for 'outstanding fieldwork'."

"Modest, much?" BC pulled off her goggles and revealed emerald-green eyes. She raised an eyebrow.

Brick shrugged. "It's the truth. If I never caught so many criminals and got them to confess to their crimes with spot-on accuracy, then I wouldn't get any awards. This is simple logic."

"Point taken." BC nodded, slowly lowering a pistol onto the ground. "Now, I've dropped my weapon."

Brick's finger remained on the trigger. "The ruby," he reminded her.

"You drive a hard bargain, but fine." BC pulled off her black mask, and smiled. "Come and get it." Then she dropped the ruby.

Brick's eyes widened, and he shot forward. Elmer kept the gun pointed at the girls at all times. Diving to the ground, Brick managed to catch the gem just in time.

"Impressive," BC remarked, "but not impressive enough."

Brick stood up and dusted himself off. "I'm sad to hear that, but I have no reason to care." He looked up and his eyes narrowed as he stopped wiping. "You're hereby under arrest. Cease and desist."

"Sorry, no can do." BC jumped up to the wall, and Elmer fired. He missed though. Brick shot his friend a disapproving look, and Elmer shrugged nervously in response. His hand had been shaking too much to be steady. BC laughed at her success and Elmer's fail, nodding at a girl in black-and-pink.

The girl in black-and-pink jumped down. "Hello, boys. I will be serving as both a distraction and someone who will steal that ruby back from you."

Brick narrowed his eyes. "Really? I'd like to see you try."

Instead of replying, the girl shot a blade at Elmer's hand. Letting out a yelp, Elmer dropped his gun and began checking on the wound.

She turned back to Brick. "You were saying?"

Brick reached for where his own gun would be...

"Don't even bother. BC has your gun; she managed to pick your pockets," the girl replied.

BC waved from her seat on the roof, holding up Brick's pistol. She wore a triumphant smirk on her face.

Brick's face darkened. "Let me guess; I can't grab BC's gun from the ground or she'll shoot."

"Correct! You're very smart. I admire men who are smart." The girl removed her mask to show that she was smiling.

"I'm flattered," Brick retorted, "really."

She pointed at the ruby. "The gem, please."

Brick set it down on the floor. "Okay, come and get it."

She paused, before taking off her goggles to reveal the most stunning pink eyes. "Well, you could've been a gentleman and passed it to me."

"I'm sorry." Brick smiled at her, an idea forming in his head. "Maybe if you weren't pointing a gun at me, stealing a rare ruby, and having cut my friend, I would've been nicer."

"Point taken." She shrugged and reached for the gem, but Brick coughed.

"I've given your words some thought though. Here; allow me." Brick bent down and took the gem.

The girl held her hand out expectantly. "Don't even bother running for it with the gem. You'll be shot."

"Brick Jojo does not 'run for it'," he replied quietly. "I'm more tactful than that."

She raised an eyebrow. "Do you have a plan right now?"

"...No." Brick smiled charmingly, passing the ruby to the girl. "There; see? No running. I'm tactful enough to plan not to die, at least."

"...Thank you." She took the gem, and was surprised to feel Brick's hand. She blushed.

Brick kept his smile on. "You have very pretty eyes."

"Umm...thank you again," she replied.

"They are very unique," he continued. "If we were on the same side, I would probably try and ask you out on a date."

She flushed even more red. "R-Really...? Me...?" Now that she looked at him more closely, he was cute.

"Really." Brick nodded. He reached for a stray strand of red hair from under her black cap, and tucked it behind her ear. He leaned in and whispered, "You're very pret—"

BLAM.

Brick let out a cough, a little blood dripping from his lips. The blood dripped onto the girl's hand. He looked up and saw BC glaring at him, holding up his gun. Brick smirked. "Shot by my own weapon, huh..."

Then he fell forward.

Butch was busy reading the paper about the heists from the files—or trying to (or not even trying to)—when he got the phone call.

"Hello?" he asked, holding the phone between his ear and shoulder as he flipped through the newspaper. He was busy doodling on a sheet of paper Brick had said he needed to fill out almost a week ago (he had just found it).

"Butch...?" Elmer whispered.

"What's up?" Butch asked, still focusing on doodling.

There was a pause as Elmer obviously hesitated. And then: "...I don't know how to say this..."

"Just tell it to me straight. You're on a mission right? If you lost the thieves, I don't mind. Brick will chew you out though."

"N-No...it's not that..." A deep breath sounded from the other end, sounding like panicked wheezing.

Butch turned serious when he realized Elmer was literally scared. "Okay; just tell it to me straight. What's going on?"

"...Okay." One last deep breath. Then: "Brick's been shot."

"He's what!?" Butch jumped up, slamming his fists down onto his desk. "That fucking little...!" He sighed loudly, spinning around.

His phone fell to the desk, still on. Elmer was calling for him, panicked. "Butch...? Butch...! Are you still there?"

Meanwhile, the door to Butch's small office had just slammed shut.

His paper lay on the desk, with a silly little doodle of a bloody Brick.

The girl with red hair spun around. "BC...! What do you think you're doing!?"

"You can't trust him, Red," BC spat back, reloading the pistol. "He was reaching for a gun!"

"I doubt it!" the redhead protested. "How would you know!? I can't believe you shot him!"

"I saw him reaching for something black, okay!? Look, we have the ruby; let's go!" BC glared at her sister, her voice rising as she continued.

Just then, the door slammed open. A boy with spiky black hair and green eyes appeared, looking around. He looked up and saw BC holding Brick's pistol, as well as a wounded Brick and Elmer. Elmer had called Butch after Brick was shot; the girls had been too distracted by their own arguing to notice. "You...!" he hissed, glaring up at her. "What the fuck is your name!? I will hunt you down for shooting my brother, and personally get you brought to justice!"

She cocked the gun, glaring back as she aimed it as his head, her green eyes dark. "You can try."

"What's your name?" he demanded.

"...You can call me BC." Then she disappeared over the roof.

The girl with pink eyes looked back at an unconscious Brick, bit her lip, and jumped onto the roof after her sisters. BC was already on the other side, and her four other sisters were jumping off the roof. The girl in the maid dress had shaken the outfit off and was also preparing to jump.

A girl with a black-and-blue suit turned to the redheaded girl. Her goggles hid concerned blue eyes. "I'm sorry," she whispered.

"It's okay," she sighed back. She glanced at Brick one last time. Was he really going to shoot me...?

I'm sorry. This is a fanfic about Butch (and BC), but I had to introduce an important scene, so I mainly focused on Brick. This is because while Brick was assigned to the case of the major robberies, Butch later takes over because Brick is injured.

I chose to do the scene where Brick is shot to show how Butch got the case. The story mainly revolves around Butch, but it'll focus on Brick and Boomer (as well as my OC's) too. I hope you guys don't mind!

So yeah; let me know if you want this sooner or later!
