AN: So I am sorry this is so late, again. So in order to make up for it, I am going to try and update lots more so this is finished before Jan. 13th. Merry Christmas (even if that is politically incorrect.). I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and hope you enjoy.
Chapter 14
Jazz groaned as she opened her eyes to complete darkness. She gave a small scream as she bolted up right. Where was she? What had happened? Her mind cleared as she stood shakily on her feet, Vance! She had to find Vance! Vance had to be ok, if not… she shook her head, no he was going to be ok.
"Could it be he found your soft spot?" She heard Ms. Spectra's voice hiss in her head.
She clenched her fist. She was going to find Vance, whether it was dark or not. She took one bold step forward, straight into a wall.
"Ow," she moaned, falling backwards.
Deciding she didn't want to repeat that again, she gingerly felt for the wall again. She smiled as her hand hit the cool plaster and she stood up carefully. She ran her hand along the wall as she walked. Now she was going to find Vance.
Vlad watched her impressed. He didn't think that a girl so young would be able to think so rationally in a place she feared. She was more and more like her mother than he thought, which made him smile.
"Is it time for her to find poor Vance?" Spectra crooned.
Vladd nodded as he took a drink of some green liquid, "Yes, but I warn you Spectra, if you try and feed off me. You'll never feed again."
Spectra grinned, as she changed into her black ghost form, her red eyes glittering, "Teenage girls taste so much better than you ever would, Vance."
Vladd chuckled as he shifted to the teenage boy. He ruffled his hair and then floated down to the ground in the next room; waiting for Jazz to find him.
Jazz walked faster, feeling more confident as she felt the wall start to curve to a corner.
"It's a room," she whispered, smiling.
She felt along the wall as she turned, hoping there would be a way to turn on some lights. She gasped as she felt some cool plastic and she pushed down. Light flooded the room and Jazz sighed in relief, until she saw a limp form on the ground.
"Vance!" she cried, her heart leaping into her throat. Oh if he was hurt, if he was… no she couldn't think like that. She ran over to him falling to her knees. She took her trembling hands and rolled him over so she could see his face. She sighed in relief as he moaned, and he squinted his eyes.
"Vance?"
"Jazz?" he asked, his voice sounding scratchy and tired, "Jazz, is that you?"
Jazz placed a cool hand on his face, "Yes, Vance, are you ok?"
He smiled, "I am now."
Jazz chuckled at the cheesy line, "Good."
Vlad was surprised to find he liked how soft her hands felt when she rolled him over. Her hand on his cheek was almost too much. She was more beautiful than Maddie ever was, and so much kinder. Revenge didn't seem so key, because he wanted Jazz to be alive, and his. He grinned as he looked up into her gentle, concerned blue eyes, and he had a great idea on how he was going to do that. Hopefully Skulker, the "greatest ghost hunter" would actually be able to manage catching little Danny Phantom…
AN: So... thoughts? Sorry, these chapters are going to be shorter, but more frequent. Thank you for your reviews, especially to the guest that got me really excited to start writing again! I love you all, and once again. Merry Christmas!
