Fire fantasy chapter 14.
Yugi walked back to the chambers, Yami close behind him. He could feel the anger and annoyance almost radiating off of Yami. He wanted to just turn around and slap him in the face. But Yugi knew he would never be able to bring himself to do it. He loves Yami too much to hurt him but Yami did get on his nerves sometimes. Yugi made it to the door and opened it before almost skipping to the bed and falling on it sighing in relief. Not that he was very happy but the blankets comforted him. Yami sat on the edge of the bed next to him and rubbed Yugis right calf. Yugi turned his head towards Yami and wore a glare. Yami looked at him and only moved his hand to Yugi's thigh in hopes of his forgiveness. Yugi rolled his eyes and rolled his body away from Yami's reach earning him a pout. Yugi who was now on his back, pushed himself off the bed only to climb back into the bed sheets with his back turned in Yami's direction. Yami only smirked and crawled over to Yugi, kissing his cheekthen down his jaw line as his hand slowly slithered down to Yugi's ass. Unfortunately for them, a knock came to the door halting their activites. Yami growled. 'God damnit I really need to get a sign that says "go away".' Yami thought as he retreated from his position on the bed to sit on the edge and grumbled to the person on the other side of the door.
"Come in." The door opened to reveal Ishizu with a small bottle in hand. She spoke softly and said.
"oh. I hope I'm not interrupting something." Yami was about to speak when Yugi cut in.
"Oh no its fine. What is it you needed?" Ishizu smiled softly and said.
"I've come to bring you the potion needed for your maternity period Yugi."She handed him the small bottle with blue liquid inside and Yugi took it as he replied.
"Oh yes, thank you." Yami being silent the whole time finally popped in.
"How are we supposed to use it Ishizu?" She turned to him and said.
"Well all Yugi has to do is to drink it before intercourse and it should settle itself within 20 to 25 seconds after consumption." Yami looked at the bottle before saying.
"Seems easy enough." Yugi began to think about it. 'Am i really ready for this? We arn't even married yet. What if we don't even get married at all?' Ishizu nodded to the two of them and left the room. Yami looked at Yugi and asked.
"What is it? You look distressed." Yugi looked back to Yami and said.
"I just don't know if I'm ready for a baby yet. I mean. We arn't even married or anything..." he trailed of. Yami looked forward thoughtfully as he spoke.
"That is true." Yugi took the bottle and set it on the end table next to the bed.
"But that doesn't mean we can't have fun." Yugi finally said. Yami smiled evily and the two of them fell on the bed once more and spent the rest of their night love making forgetting about the bottle entirely.
•~ a couple months later ~•
It was now a beautiful may morning and Yugi was outside in the garden. He was pushed out of his and Yami's room earlier that morning for an unexplained reason. He began to think of a reason why Yami would do such a random thing. 'Was it last night? No it couldn't be that. Did I say something yesterday that he didn't like? Oh my god is he still mad at me about the whole cell thing?' Yugi began to question himself, confusion and a tinge of annoyance flowed through him. He wanted to know what was going on but every time he tried to go into his room there would be guards standing there and wouldn't let him in. Yugi sat on the bench and picked a flower from a near by bush. It had white and orange mixed petals and a purple middle. The flowers that grew in Octamia were very beautiful and exquisite. Yugi decided to pass the time by pulling the petals. As he did so he recalled a familiar tune and decided to recite it.
"He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me..." The petals floated to the ground and his lap as he plucked each one carefully to the rhythm of his chant. He couldn't help but feel utterly stupid and a bit silly for doing this but at the same time it gave him a sense of comfort as he did so.. He knew Yami loved him, and nothing could change that. Yugi looked up at the big blue sky and sighed. 'What was Yami up to?"
•~ with Yami ~•
Yami sat on his throne resting his head on his hand going through his plans for the night to come and other kingly duties he had. The position soon changed when one of the priests announced the arrival of Atem and the guards entering the throne room for his trial. Yami sat up straight and peered down at him as he was pushed to his knees in the middle of the room. The sound of chains clattering on the hard golden floor, and Atem's body falling to the floor rang in the air. This was going to be interesting. With a clear of his throat and a step forward, Seto unrolled a scroll in front of him and began to read it's contents.
"Today we are here to witness the law this man Atem Hikari broke on the day of April 17th. We the people of this kingdom under the name of our king, thou shall be trialed." Yami breathed softly before sitting up straight and exchanging his own words.
"Thank you Seto. After taking some time to myself about this case, and deciding weather or not to just kill you or set you up for torture I've come to a decision. You Atem shall be sentenced to a life time in a cell." Everyone looked to him confused. It wasn't expected for him to be so merciful. Everyone there had thought him to be killed off straight away . No one said a word. Then after several minutes of silence Yami spoke up again.
"Trial dismissed." Everyone left the room and the guards pulled Atem back to his cell where he would stay for the rest of his days. Yami quickly made it back to his chambers where everything was set up. Then he went towards the gardens to continue his work. Yami was in too good of a mood to kill today.
•~ back with Yugi ~• Yugi walked around the garden humming when he heard a ruffling noise. He looked around to see nothing. He cautiously spun back around and began to walk again when he felt two arms pull him to the right and he turned to see who it was. He looked to see a surprisingly familiar face. One he thought he'd never see again.
"Joey!?" Joey let go of Yugi with a big grin on his face and cheered.
"Hey Yug' it's good to see you again!" Yugi laughed happily and asked.
"What are you doing here!?" Joey's smile faded a little and he replied.
"Well as it turns out, I was captured and turned into a slave. I work in the public garden." Yugi's smile turned into a saddened expression then it formed into anger.
"What?! This unacceptable! Don't worry Joey I'll talk to Yami and set things straight. You'll see." Joey smiled again and said.
"Oh Yug', you don't have to do that. It's actually not so bad here. The works fairly easy and I get a free cot with 3 free meals a day. If that's not easy living then I don't know what is." Yugi still looked unsure and a bit fumed. Joey continued.
"Uh but anyways...hey wait, what are you doing here and what do you mean 'talk to the king'? Are you suddenly some kind of royalty or somethi'n?"
Yugi blushed with embarrassment and quick realization then explained.
"Well...not exactly...you see, I was going to be a slave but turned into the kings lover instead..." Joey's eyes widened and he practically screeched.
"What!? That was you all along?! You sly-!" Yugi pressed a finger to his lips and shushed.
"Shhhhhh! Keep it down. Yes I'm dating him but it's a long story..." Yugi giggled softly and Joey reluctantly nodded despite the fact that he still wanted answers, but figured it was probably better for a later time. Joey looked around then whispered quietly.
"Oh ya I almost forgot! I was told by one of the priests to take the king's special guest to the kingdom pond. Never would have guessed it was you. Funny how things turn out." Yugi smiled amused then looked at him confused and asked.
"Wait, why?" Joey shrugged and said.
"Who know's. You'd think i would be the last person to ask for this kind of job. All well. Com'on." The two of them left the garden and adventured to the pond.
