A Tight Squeeze
Chapter 14
~Recap of Last Chapter~
The Xiaolin warriors and their friends were just captured by Jack Spicer and his newest robot creation; and were now his prisoners while Jack took this opportunity to enjoy all the Shen Gong Wu in the vault.
The only hope for our heroes was Dojo who has escaped being captured by the scale of his tail. (Get it scale of his tail cause he's a dragon who managed to just escape capture? ...Okay scratch the joke, moving on.)
Dojo was now the only hope for our heroes to escape then try to proceed with their plans for rescuing Kimiko. Could be a slight problem since Jack had a hold of all their Wu in the vault and these new robots were looking impossible to defeat. Unlike Jack's regular Jack-bots these were bigger, stronger, and smarter Making the task to destroy them more of a challenge.
Its not like our heroes haven't faced off against something that was a huge challenge before, but this is different. This is WAY different if I do say so myself. How do our heroes intend to fight against enemies who are one step ahead of them? How will they rescue Kimiko now when they need rescuing themselves? Why am I asking such dumb questions?
Oh Dojo where are you?
"Dojo where are you little buddy?" Clay asked himself.
(Didn't I just say that?)
That's when as if by cue a rustling noise was made from nearby bushes. At first they figured it was just a rabbit making that noise, but then a small voice was made. Sort of an 'Ow!' noise that wasn't to loud but just loud enough for our heroes to hear. All eyes moved to the bush that rustled and shook like a rattle.
"What in Tarantino is with that bush?" Clay asked.
"Could it be?" Omi began and sure enough it was.
It was Dojo who popped his head out and was making all that noise in the bush.
"Dojo you ca-Shush!" Omi began but Dojo stopped him.
"Keep it down Omi, I don't want those freaky robot giants to catch me or we'll all be stuck here until we give into Jack's demands." Dojo explained putting leaves over his body.
"I'm a shrub, just leave it at that." Dojo said putting the finishing touches to his disguise.
"So how are you going to get us lose from these robots?" Jermaine asked.
"Well if I can sneak into the vault and get some Shen Gong Wu I can use them to break you guys out and we'll make a break for it." Dojo explained.
"What about the robots? These buggers are impossible to get away from and beat." One of the Vipers told him.
"Hm...Well I'm no mechanic, but maybe I can disable a few of them?" Dojo suggested.
"Do what you can little buddy, but be careful." Clay said.
"Yes, and hurry before Jack has us crushed like aardvarks." Omi said.
"Uh do you mean crushed like ants?" Another Viper asked.
"Yes, yes, that to!" Omi replied.
"I'm on it!" Dojo cried out and took off in a slithering sneaky motion past the robots to the temple. (You know what I meant when I said slithers off right? Just think on an actual snake as it moves around though the grass; or even think about how the Grinch slithered through the Who's houses to steal all their presents.)
Dojo was doing just that as he snuck into the temple and to the vault. All he had to do was snag some Wu without Jack noticing his presence. The best way to steal back Wu was to shrink it using the Changing Chopsticks and stick it all in his ear until he got our heroes out to safety.
"Okay Dojo you can do this. You are a Xiaolin dragon and this is what you've been preparing for your whole life. Well maybe not exactly preparing for this certain thing but close enough. Now is your time to shine above all and save the day like that time with the Sapphire dragon. You can do it Dojo!" Dojo thought to himself.
So much confidence in such a small dragon.
Lets find out if he can do it.
Sneaking his way in Dojo was getting through with ease since no robots were guarding the inside. Although there might be a few guarding the vault. All Dojo had to do was slip past them without being seen. It would be easier if he had the Shroud of a Shadows, but whatcha gonna do?
"Okay I can do this. Just get in and out with as many Shen Gong Wu as you can grab." Dojo said to himself finally making it to the temple doorway.
He peeked his head around the corner to see a giant robot in the vault room while hearing Jack's voice from down below in the vault.
"Hm...one giant robot and one Jack Spicer. Doesn't seem to difficult, but how to get the Wu?" Dojo said to himself Rubbing his chin to think.
He had to get some Wu, but he had to do so without revealing himself. Now if Dojo had the Shroud of Shadows things would be easier just that he'd have to be quiet. No sounds were to be made orhe'd risk getting caught. Quietly, Dojo creeped against the wall sweating as he leaned close to it.
He took a deep breathe, holding it in, and moving along the wall slowly before releasing to breathe. Dojo wanted to get this over with and return to our heroes with whatever Wu he could get a hold of.
That is if he could get a hold of any Wu.
The new robots were scarier up close, and having already come face-to-face with a few, Dojo didn't wish to see the robot charge at him. If he could stick to the wall and/or the floor than all would be well.
Become one with the wall and floor to retrieve the prize.
You got this Dojo, just remember you are the dragon. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to so long as you focus and pay attention to what's at hand.
The opening to the vault is right on his right side. Just slither on over and get in somehow.
Maybe if a drawer is open Dojo could fall into it then go from there?
Gonna have to wait and see because Dojo has to get over to the oppening before proceeding first.
Poor Dojo was sweating up a storm as he eyed the opening and the robot. He had to make a move and he had to make one now.
Just close your eyes and dash to the opening.
Don't look back just go.
The sooner you get it over with the better you will feel and the sooner you can help your friends.
He's looking...
He's thinking...
He's preparing...
He's going!
Off slithered that old dragon to the vault with only a foot to go.
Tension rising.
Heart pounding.
Sweat increasing.
Dojo was moving the fastest he had ever slithered/ran before to succeed.
Victory was so close he could taste it, but oh no what's this?
The robot behind him sensed a presence and spotted Dojo in front of it. It reached it's arm out and grabbed Dojo nearly squeezing the life out of him in the process.
NO!
Not Dojo too!
Jack Spicer than popped his head out seeing Dojo caught and chuckled darkly.
"Nice try little dragon, but your sneak attack was no match for my awesome robot." Jack pointed out.
"I have to give you credit though for getting this far, but it wasn't good enough for Jack Spicer and his awesome robot!"
"Yeah...great...Can't...breathe...to...right..." Dojo said struggling with speaking due to the robot squeezing him tightly.
"Yo robot loosen your grip on lizard breathe will you?" Jack asked and the robot obeyed.
Dojo took a few deep breathes before speaking again.
"Okay...*pant* *pant* *pant* You know...*pant* *pant* You've got allot of nerve making these *pant* *pant* gigantic robots for Chase Young too hold us here *pant* *pant* *pant* *pant* against our will! While he's got Kimiko *pant* *pant* and is going to rule the world in eternal darkness! *pant* Don't you even care that we are going to lose Kimiko and possibly our lives because you corroborated with a guy who is just using you to keep us from stopping him, and will loss you aside once you've done your part?! How can you just agree to do this without even thinking about the consequences?! What the hell is wrong with you?!"
Wow...Little dragon has a big voice when making a heartwarming speech.
He even left Jack speechless with his jaw hanging down.
Dojo cleared his throat, blushing a little due to what he just did. This was so unlike Dojo to be so forward and tough and brave like that. It was shocking but impressive none the less. It's like he was on fire and something inside of him just went off and he blew like a fuse.
Just goes to show that even the smallest voice can turn into something big; or at least something like that but back to the story.
After that little fiasco blow out of Dojo's, Jack Spicer was still in his shock mood jaw hanging down and all frozen from what Dojo said. It took Dojo snapping his fingers in front of Jack's face to wake him out of his state of shock and return to reality. Jack shook his head and looked at Dojo.
"Wow...*not really sure what to say* Uh...Wow...Didn't know you had it in you. You just...Boom *hand motion* *rubs his neck thinking about what to say next* Yeah well...you don't know what you're talking about! Chase is going to be impressed by my work, and he'll reward me for it. Besides for once in my life I didn't screw up," Jack explained to Dojo.
"Maybe, but do you really wanna go through with handing us over to Chase only to then eliminate us like Wuya almost did when she was in her flesh and powerful form?" Dojo asked him.
"That was different besides Chase won't do that once I show him you and the Xiaolin losers in my clutches, or my robots uh you get the idea." Jack replied.
"You are digging your own grave." Dojo said.
"Yeah well it'll soon be the other way around lizard." Jack said.
"Robot, see to it that he doesn't escape. I'm going to notify Chase of my success than come back to take the Shen Gong Wu to my place."
With that said Jack left the vault smiling with pride.
Well this is an even bigger problem
With Dojo captured who's going to save our heroes?
More importantly, Will Chase Young succeed in carrying out his plans?
