"Agh…" Alex groaned as he picked another pine needle out of his rear. Man that was a nasty fall but surprisingly more pleasant than his fall he had down a hill back on Madagascar. The lion walked to the train alongside the penguins.
"Yeah, sorry you fell all the way down there." Skipper apologized fakely.
"What? No c'mon I can take a fall." The lion reassured, wincing and letting out a whimper as he plucked out another thorn. "Especially ones with rocks and rose bushes and…things like that.."
Rico eyed the final thorn above Alex's tail and twitching, he pulled it out and looked happy about doing it.
"Ouch!" Alex scowled down at the scarred bird.
The four penguins had already gotten on the train, starting it up and readying it to move. Those circus animals better get on quick or they'd get left.
Alex hopped on the train as well after announcing hastily that they had to hit the tracks.
Stefano wasn't so sure. "Are you-a sure we are-a ready?"
"Of course we're ready! Born ready! Ready steady!" Alex pat the sea lion's head. "Come on, let's go! Let's go, go, go, go, go!" He rushed.
"All right, you heard the cat!" Skipper announced. "Move it! Come on! All aboard! Grab your luggage and drain your bladders, it's going to be a long ride!"
The train was on its way, tooting and racing down the tracks. They were well on their way to London to their big show.
"Kowalski, where do we stand?" Skipper asked.
"In the train, sir." Kowalski nodded.
"Good, that means we're getting somewhere!" The leader penguin praised.
"Skipper?" Private chirped up, crossed eyed blinking with his blank smile. "Aren't you a little bit worried then?"
"About what?" The leader looked at the private with narrowed eyes.
Private waddled over to the train car door.
Kowalski's eyes widened. "Wait! Don't open-!"
It was too late because Private slid open the door and the rushing wind came in, forcefully and powerful. Private hung onto the door handle without flying out and Kowalski and Rico held onto the train control handles.
Skipper wasn't so lucky. He went flying out the open door with a yell, except it wasn't a yell of terror it was more of a request. "SOMEONE SMACK HIM PLEASE!" It echoed as the leader disappeared out the side of the train.
The wind pressure lessened and the result was the train door sliding back shut on its own. Private slid to the middle of the train control car. There was the sound of a smack shortly after.

Meanwhile in a train car further down the line, the four Zoosters sat socializing about their day of rehearsals.
"I mean did you see me up there?" Melman exclaimed in excitement. "I was dancing! …On a tightrope!"
"And you were wonderful baby!" Gloria pat the giraffe on the cheek.
"Dancing…!" Melman just wouldn't stop. "On a-!"
"On a tightrope, fool! We heard you!" Marty cut in, in annoyance. "Bragging about yourself! You're worse than Alex now! …Who oddly enough hasn't said a word since we got back on this thing!" The zebra exclaimed and looked to his best friend who was just sitting beside him.
Alex was in his own world, smiling to himself oblivious of everything around him. He looked happy, really happy. His three friends stared at the cat for a while but there was no change.
Marty tried something. "Yo Alex, your hair's on fire!"
There was no response from the lion. Alex just sat there spaced out with that same smile.
"Anaphylactic shock." Melman observed. "I'm 75% sure."
Marty gave the giraffe a skeptical look. He stood up and walked over to his unresponsive buddy. "Man, Alex is in shock alright! But the only shock he got is the loveee shock!" He smirked and put an arm around the clueless lion.
Gloria smiled as well, hands on her hips. "Ooh I knew it from the first time he saw her! Mmhm! My sweetheart got mauled by the love monster!"
"I still say he needs medical attention." Melman said, giving his opinion.
"You right, Melman!" Marty exclaimed.
The giraffe blinked. "I am?"
"Yup!" The zebra said and smacked the lion in the back of the head, calling the cat to bring him back to the real world. "ALEX!"
"Hey!" Alex grabbed the back of his head with a frown, glaring at the monochromatic animal. "What'd I do to deserve that huh?"
"Congrats!" Marty congratulated.
Alex still glared, rubbing his head. "For what? Getting hit?"
"Nope! For your new found sweet thang!" The zebra exclaimed.
"My what?" The lion raised a brow, lowering his paw from his head and putting it on his lap.
"We all know that look on you!" Marty said. "You in love!"
"What? No I'm not!" Alex defended.
"You can't deny it!" The zebra shouted with a big old grin on his muzzle. "Especially when we all see it!"
"C'mon," The lion rolled his eyes. "Gloria, Melman, It's not that obvious is it?"
Gloria tried to bite her tongue but her excitement got the best of her. She gave a loud thrilled laugh and yanked the wild cat into a hug. "OH, MY SWEET CAKES GOT A SWEET CAKE!"
Alex gave a groan in her grip, looking to the giraffe. "Melman? Your input on this whole thing?"
Melman stared at the lion in observing mode. "Maybe he's not in shock…"
Marty ruffled the top of the lion's mane. "I knew you could do it, Al! And you did too! Come on! Admit it, love-cat!"
Alex gave a smile, shaking his head as he pulled back from the hippo's hug. He was surrounded by his eager friends who he couldn't hide a thing from if he tried. The lion blushed. "Alright, yeah. I guess…I like Gia…" He laughed. "I like her a lot…"
