Chapter 11 The Mists After the Sun
"LET HER GO!" shouted Tsuna and stood up as the ropes that tied him earlier were burning with orange flames. The same flames danced on his forehead and were the same color as his eyes. He didn't care if anyone saw him like this, as long as nobody would get hurt in the process
Kyoko and Haru looked at Tsuna, a bit shocked by the sudden change, but instead of fearing what would happen, they couldn't help but feel relieved that no matter what happened, they would be home safe and sound.
"Or what? What'll you do with that puny body of yours? That little change won't do you any good." The big guy smirked and tightened his grip on Kyoko as he watched Tsuna clenched his fists.
"Kyaaa!" Kyoko screamed and struggled to get free, but not matter what she did, he wouldn't budge.
The big guy looked at Kyoko and twitched when she tried to struggle. "What an annoying girl." He then dropped Kyoko, making her go unconscious.
"Kyoko-san!" Tsuna shouted as he tried running towards her, but he stopped when the big guy spoke.
"Oya? Are you sure you'll save her first? Do you not care about the other?" the big guy suddenly warned. After that, a scream was heard.
"HAHI?!"
Tsuna quickly turned around to see if Haru was alright, but he was too late. As he turned around, Haru also fell unconscious. "Miura-san!" he shouted and then glared at the big guy. "What did you do to her?!"
"Pfft...HAHAHA! Look at your face!" The big guy laughed before getting serious. "The poison I injected is starting to take effect, you see. Why do you think nobody has got back after I kidnapped them? It's because I killed them, every single one of them."
Tsuna widened his eyes. He didn't expect this man to be so dangerous. "What did you say?! You killed them?!" He started to move to punch the big guy's gut, but what he said made him stop again.
"Hold your horses, or do you want to see them die in a different way?" the big guy warned.
Tsuna gritted his teeth and sweated bullets. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't go near the enemy unless he was sure about the girl's safety. He couldn't idle around anymore. Would the risk he took be all for nothing? But just when he had no other choice, mist has started to surround the room.
"W-What? What is this? What are you doing?!" the big guy asked, but Tsuna was as clueless as him. Then after a minute, when the mist had fully covered the room, someone spoke.
"Kufufufu~ I see you're in quite a predicament, Sawada Tsunayoshi."
'Boom!'
"That's why I told you to get out of the way, you pieces of junk!" Gokudera shouted as he finished off his last batch of enemies. After they heard that Tsuna was caught, he, Ryohei, Yamamoto, and even Lambo, headed straight to the enemy's base, not caring about the dangers that lay ahead. And now, here they were, almost done knocking the enemies out. "Baseball-freak! Turf-top! Hurry up or I'll leave you! Tsuna-sama is waiting for us! And make sure you don't forget about that stupid, useless cow over there."
"What did you say, Stupidera?! Lambo-san isn't useless!" Lambo exclaimed as he searched for something in his afro hair. What he took out was a couple of pink grenades and threw them all over the place. "Lambo-san will save Tsuna-nii!"
'Boom'
"What are you doing, Stupid cow?! You almost hit me with that thing!" Gokudera complained, but when looked around and saw the other enemies down and an unconscious Lambo, he decided to stand up and dust himself. "Tch. So you're not as useless as you could be, you damn stupid cow." he said as he picked up Lambo.
"Maa, maa, Gokudera. Anybody can be useful in their own way." Yamamoto said as he sliced down his last enemy and walked towards Gokudera. "Look. Even Sasagawa-senpai is hyped up."
"EXTREMEE! Aren't there any stronger opponents?!" Ryohei yelled in the far distance.
"Ahahahaha! That's senpai for you!" Yamamoto laughed in a carefree manner as he watched Ryohei search for more enemies.
"Tch. Like I care. Our first priority is Tsuna-sama and no one else." Gokudera turned around when Ryohei called him.
"Octopus-head! Are we there yet?! All the guys here are extremely weak!" Ryohei shouted, making Gokudera pop a vein.
"Where do you think we're going now?! And who do you think is running around searching for enemies like an idiot, Turf-top?!"
"Hah? What did you say, Octopus-head?! Only an idiot calls other people an idiot!" And that was the start of their argument, but luckily Yamamoto was there to stop them.
"Maa, maa, don't fight Gokudera, Senpai." Yamamoto tried to calm them down, but neither of them would back off. It was only after a while that they decided to stop.
"Tch. There's no point in arguing with you. Here, take this stupid cow and let's go. We still have to save Tsuna-sama." Gokudera said as he gave Lambo to Ryohei.
Ryohei nodded and took Lambo from Gokudera's hand, carrying him. "Leave it extremely to me!"
After a few steps, they finally arrived at their destination. In front of them was an old factory where Tsuna and the others were being kept. "This is the place." Gokudera said and stepped forward. But the moment he stepped, mist covered the building.
"What's happening?" Yamamoto asked when he saw the mist.
Ryohei, on the other hand, couldn't take it anymore, so he ran towards the entrance. "Kyoko! Wait for me!" he yelled.
"Wait, Senpai!" Yamamoto tried to stop him, but it was too late. Ryohei had already entered the building. They waited, but after a second, Ryohei came back running. "That was fast, senpai. Did you find them?"
"Huh? I extremely don't understand! I was running forward and now I'm here again!" Ryohei explained. He was quite puzzled to what had happened. But then, Gokudera started to speak.
"Of course, you don't know. You two weren't there that time. There's only one person I can think of..."
"Who are you?!" the big guy asked in panic. He didn't expect someone to show up other than the ones outside.
"Oya? Aren't you quite rude for not welcoming your guest?" the voice said as the mist started to disperse, revealing a new person with pineapple-shaped hair and heterochromatic eyes, holding a trident. But as soon he revealed himself, the big guy started to laugh.
"HAHAHAHA! You're the back up?! What will that pineapple hair of yours do?" The new person twitched when he heard what the big guy had said. He was kind of offended.
"Kufufufu~ I wouldn't say that if I were you." he said, readying his trident.
Tsuna just stared. Right now, he was feeling uneasy at the new person's appearance. He didn't know what it was, but it felt like there was something about him that made him. He soon got out of his hyper dying will mode.
The new person looked at him and smiled with that creepy smile of his and then asked. "Shall I finish him off?" he asked before tapping his trident on the ground.
Tsuna snapped out of his trance when he realized what he was doing and what the new person was going to do. "Wait!" he shouted, but fire had already burst from the ground.
"AAAHHH!" the big guy screamed and fell unconscious. It only took one hit to knock him out, despite how tough he looked.
Tsuna, instead of celebrating over victory, stared at the place where the fire had started. It is perfectly fine. Tsuna felt like he saw something like that before.
"You won't win with that soft heart of yours, Sawada Tsunayoshi." the new person suddenly said, but Tsuna wasn't really paying attention to him. He was thinking about something else.
"Illusions?" Tsuna questioned.
The person arched an eyebrow when he heard Tsuna say that. "Hyper intuition, I presume?" he asked.
Tsuna shook his head. "No, just based on experience. Your illusions just remind me of someone I know." he said, but then remembered something important. "Ah! What about Kyoko-san and Miura-san!" He panicked. How could he have forgotten something like that?
"Kufufufu~ Don't worry, they're safe. No poison is running in their veins. They're just sleeping and probably having a good dream, right now." the person explained and Tsuna sighed in relief. He didn't have to worry anymore.
"I believe I haven't met you before. Who are you and how do you know me?" Tsuna asked the person.
"Kufufufu~ You ask me that, but you should already know me since you've learned all about mafia in one year." the person said and Tsuna knitted his eyebrows. Nobody should know about him being in the mafia.
"How?" he asked again. "How do you know about me?
"Go to Kokuyo Land if you want some answers. We'll also talk about something else there." the person said and walked towards Tsuna, whispering something that made Tsuna's eyes widen.
"What?"
Then, just at the entrance, someone shouted, calling Tsuna, "Tsuna-sama!"
"It's already time and your friends are calling for you. Be glad I didn't expose your flames. Kufufufu~ It was nice meeting you, Sawada Tsunayoshi." the person said before disappearing.
"Wait!" Tsuna tried stopping him, but he was already gone. "You still haven't told me your name."
"Rokudo Mukuro." a voice whispered to him, but it was soon gone.
As soon as this was over and the person named Mukuro vanished, Tsuna felt his body become heavy and the last thing he knew was that someone, which he assumed was Gokudera, called to him and caught him before he fell. What he didn't know was that the poison also affected him.
"Tsuna-sama!"
Ryohei saw it. He saw the enemy lying on the floor. He saw how his sister and his friend didn't have a single scratch. He saw how Tsuna didn't ask for something and instead fell unconscious, probably from protecting them. And now, the sun had shone again and found his place with another sky.
When Tsuna woke up, the first thing he heard was beeping sounds, and the first thing he saw was white walls. He immediately knew he was in a hospital. He tried to sit up, using his arms to support himself. He knew he was alone since nobody was in sight. However, he was wrong.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." it said.
Tsuna looked in the direction of the voice and unexpectedly, it was none other than his twin, Ieyasu.
"If you're asking why I'm here, then I tell you. Reborn threatened me to come here." Ieyasu said and leaned against the wall.
Tsuna nodded and started looking for a paper and a pen. Ieyasu looked at him and sighed. "Don't bother. The you I know, knows how to speak."
Tsuna widened his eyes and looked at Ieyasu. Did Ieyasu really say that to him? "Y-You-"
"Don't get me wrong. It'll take too long if you write on paper." Ieyasu explained.
Tsuna smiled as he remembered the times before Ieyasu started hating him, the times when they would still play together and Ieyasu would ask him to read a book to him. "How are Kyoko-san and the others?" he asked.
"Kyoko broke up with me after we met at school. I got a slap from Hana and Haru. I also got an earful from those three idiots and Reborn. They're all fine. Now that you have your answers, I'm going home." Ieyasu said before walking towards the door, but was stopped by Tsuna.
"Wait!" Ieyasu turned around, only to see Tsuna's smile.
"Thank you..." Tsuna said, but Ieyasu just walked out of the door.
Outside, Ieyasu shadowed his eyes and mumbled, "Don't smile like that. It's annoying..."
Tsuna just watched as Ieyasu walked out of the door. He thought that he was going to be alone again, but then he heard some rambling outside and his door slammed open.
"Tsuna-sama! You're awake!" Gokudera said as he ran towards Tsuna.
Then another teen entered. "Yo, Tsuna! Feeling better? Senpai is also here! Oh! And the girls and the kid."
"Cielo! Extremely join the boxing club!" Ryohei shouted.
"Don't shout, Turf-top! Tsuna-sama is still resting!"
"Tsuna-nii! Did you know that I beat the bad guys?" Lambo said excitedly as he jumped over Tsuna.
Tsuna smiled as he saw all of his friends. It just reminded him of his family. He patted Lambo's head and said. "Good job, Lambo."
"Thank you very much for saving us, Tsunayoshi-kun/Tsuna-san!" Haru and Kyoko bowed and said in unison
"It's okay. As long as you're safe." Once Tsuna said that, Haru glomped onto him.
"Tsuna-san!"
It was really nice seeing his friends, but what he didn't expect was that Reborn was there, meaning Ieyasu came by his own accord.
"It's about your brother..."
