A/N: Ha ha ha! Oh, so much anger over the cliffhangers. Anyway, enjoy!

Chapter 14: Done Fighting

Number sat with Ruby outside the infirmary waiting for the doctors to finish saving Yang's life. Number had his fingers locked together in front of his face with his elbows on his knees, his right leg bouncing in anticipation. Ruby had her knees pulled up to her face and arms wrapped around her legs, tears slowly making their way down her face. It was roughly 2 AM and the doctors had been working hard to save Yang, and Number and Ruby hadn't left the front of the infirmary. Everyone else had called it a night, but the remaining two were determined to see Yang come out of it.

Ruby leaned against Number and questioned "Do you think Yang will be okay?" Number looked down at Ruby and saw it all in her eyes, the pain, the sadness but worst of all was the fear. Number wrapped his arm around Ruby and replied "She'll be fine. She can make it through this easily." Ruby buried her face into her knees and continued to lean against Number, taking comfort in what she could. They continued to wait until it was roughly 5 AM, and then the doctor walked out to find the two waiting.

Ruby shot over to the doctor and questioned "Is Yang okay? Please tell us she's okay." The doctor put his hand on Ruby's shoulder and replied "Yang is fine. We were able to stop the bleeding and repair any damage done by the metal shard." Number sighed and replied "That's a relief. Can we see her now?" The doctor stepped aside and let Ruby and Number walk in to see Yang lying in bed with a blanket covering her body. The doctor updated "She's still asleep but she should be up soon."

Ruby and Number each took sides of Yang, waiting for her to wake up from her surgery. Ruby fell asleep with her head resting on Yang's pillow, Number starting to feel his power level start to drop. Shade materialized by Number's head and recommended "You should power down and charge. Before you shut yourself down." Number sighed and replied "You're right. I'll shut down for a bit." Number leaned back in his chair and shut down for the night so he could recharge his power cell.

It was a little while before his systems started to reboot and the sight he first saw warmed his central motor; Yang. She was sitting up and hugging her sister, tears running down both their faces. Number smiled and couldn't help himself, he stood up and wrapped his arms around the sisters. Yang placed her head on Number's chest and sighed "It's so nice to have you guys here. Ruby told me how you two waited the entire time for me to get out." Number practically buried his face in Yang's hair and sighed "Of course we did. What else were we going to do?"

"I don't know, go to bed like everyone else?"

Number lifted his head and chuckled "Yeah, we just wanted to be sure that you were going to make it out of this alive." Yang shook her head and sighed "How long have you been awake? It's 9 in the morning." Ruby yawned "We've been awake for a while, so we should probably get some sleep." Ruby slid off of Yang's bed and questioned "Are you going to recharge for a bit, Number?" Number shook his head and replied "Nah, I've charged enough to keep me going for another few hours."

"Mkay, see you later."

Ruby waved and walked out, leaving Number and Yang alone in the infirmary other than the on call nurse. Yang looked to Number with those lilac eyes he loved staring into and questioned "So you just here to keep me company?" Number grabbed his chair and slid it closer to Yang, taking her hand as he took a seat. He looked up at her and stared into her eyes, Yang smiling and chuckling "You know, when I first met you I thought your eyes were really creepy." Number smiled and questioned "But now?" Yang simply reached out and caressed his "cheek" and replied "I find it very soothing."

Yang pulled her hand back and sighed "Sorry. I know you don't like it when I try and push you." Number moved up and turned her head so he could kiss her, pressing his cold metal to her warm lips. Yang was initially surprised by Number's affection since he usually tried to keep his feelings for Yang from showing. Number broke the kiss and replied "Please, push all you want." Yang smiled and questioned "Really?"

Number nodded and replied "Really. I may not have figured everything out yet, but that doesn't mean I don't care about you. I'm tired of fighting what I feel about you, so I'm done fighting." Yang's eyes lit up as she questioned "Do you mean it? We're going to be…?"

"Yes, we're going to be together."

Yang threw her arms around Number's neck and planted another kiss on his lips, the two taking the time to make it as memorable as possible. They finally broke the kiss, Yang almost completely breathless as she sighed "I've waited for that kind of kiss for a long time." Number chuckled "Me too. I'm glad the wait is finally over."

"So, I need to get some sleep. Once I recover, that's when the real fun will start."

"Oh really? I can't wait to see what you have in mind."

Yang fell back onto the bed and sighed "I've never been so happy." Number shook his head and walked out headed for his room to recharge a little bit more. He had a kick in his step as he entered his room, finding only Cass in a yellow shirt and shorts that were similar to Yang's. Number looked at Cass with a raised brow and looked closer, seeing that it was Yang's clothes. "Why are you wearing Yang's clothes?" Number questioned.

Cassandra sat up and replied "I needed some chill clothing. Can't sleep in my armor 24/7 like you." Number rolled his optics and sighed "Whatever floats your boat." Cass shifted so she was sitting on the edge of her bed and exclaimed "Hey Number, can I… tell you something?" Number sat on his bed and replied "Sure."

"I… I…"

Cassandra stood up and walked over to Number, placing her hands on his knees and her forehead against his. "I… really like you." Number started to move back until he was on his elbows, Cassandra following him the whole way until she was practically on top of him. "I know you like me, and I like you." Cassandra whispered to him. "So why not be together." She started to lower her head until Number put a hand between his mouth and Cass', stopping her from kissing him. She backed off a bit and giggled "Yeah, I might have pushed a little bit. I just figured-."

Number cut off "Cass, get off." Cassandra had a hurt look on her face as she climbed off of him and stood in front of him. "Number, I'm sorry if I seemed to be pushing myself on you." Cassandra apologized. Number sat up and stated "It's not that. It's… I'm with Yang." Cassandra had a look on her face that resembled devastation. "You're… what?" Cassandra questioned as she sat on her bed.

"I'm with Yang, as in with her romantically."

"When… why!?"

"A little while ago. I finally decided to stop trying to hold back my feelings for her and give into them."

Cassandra looked like she was about to cry as she questioned "But… what about me? I've known you and cared for you so much longer than she has! Doesn't that mean anything to you?" Number leaned forward and replied "Cass, you and I have been working together for a long time, but the fact that you had romantic feelings for me? I had no clue you even had feelings for me until you came to Remnant, and that was only because I was showing interest in Yang."

"That's because I saw the way you were looking at her! I saw you liked her and wanted to remind you about me."

"I'm sorry Cass, but I don't feel that way about you anymore."

Cassandra dropped her head and muttered "What makes her so great? Is it her chest? The fact that she'll fuck you first date?" Number answered with a bit of anger "Because she's like me. She fights with her fists, which I can relate to. Because she's who she is." He stood up and stated "I think I'll stay with Team RWBY for a bit." Cassandra laid on her bed with her back to him and grumbled "That might be best." Number walked out of his team's room and headed into Team RWBY's, finding all of them in there except for Yang.

Number sat in his usual seat and crossed his arms, clearly agitated from the moment he just had. Blake lowered her book and questioned "Is everything alright?" Number took a deep "breath" and replied "Yes and no. Cass is very unhappy with me about my current decision." Ruby looked from out of her blanket fort and questioned "What decision is that?"

"Me and Yang have decided to stop beating around the bush."

"That's great! You two have been at this game you were playing for far too long."

Number leaned back in his chair and sighed "Indeed we have, but not anymore." Weiss questioned from the desk "So what will happen when you go back to Earth? I mean, I don't think you can just give up on being a Guardian for her." Number sighed in sadness "Can… can I just have this moment? Please?" Weiss nodded and the team went about their business, allowing Number to stay in their room once more.

It was about a week before Yang was finally released from the infirmary, her team and friends there to meet her, minus Cass. They all went to the cafeteria upon Yang's request since she hadn't had anything "good" to eat for a while. Everyone got something light while Yang chowed down, almost like she wasn't even breathing. Yang took a moment to breath and questioned "So I noticed that Crazy Cass ain't here. Anyone care to share?" Number, sitting next to Yang, answered "She… didn't take to kindly to the news about us."

"Figured that was going to happen."

Zerox-2 exclaimed from behind a cup of coffee "This is why I urge there not be any inter-team relationships. They just don't work out for anyone." Yang shrugged and replied "I'm just happy that I have my big metal man all to myself now." Number smiled and hooked his arm around Yang's waist, pulling her close. Yang continued to eat and ask about the current events, which there really hadn't been any. After Yang was finished stuffing her face, the teams headed back to their respective rooms when yang exclaimed "We'll catch up with you guys later."

No one argued as the two made their own path, which meant Yang was dragging Number wherever she pleased. They were walking into the wing that was usually meant for students visiting from other academies during festival time. Yang approached one of the doors and looked like she was about to kick it in when Shade materialized and suggested "May I try first?" Yang stepped aside as Shade flew over to the scanner that was meant for scroll and started scanning it. He scanned it for a moment before the door clicked and slowly started to open.

Shade turned towards them and stated "As I don't condone this, I don't think either of you will listen to me."

"You are correct." Yang stated as she grabbed the front of Number's armor and pulled him into the room. Number was about to ask what Yang planned on doing when she practically threw him onto the bed, the bed creaking and barely holding as Number landed. He rolled onto his back and Yang immediately jumped onto his hips, bed creaking even more with the additional movement. Yang slipped her jacket off and tossed it aside, sighing "I've waited for this just as long." She dropped herself down and pressed herself to Number, slamming their lips together with a large amount of passion.

Number wrapped his arms around Yang and pulled her closer, feeling Yang's hands start to explore the chinks in his armor. Number opened up his inventory and Yang flipped over, taking it upon herself to unequip his armor herself. She dropped everything until Number was left in his normal white EXOskeleton. Yang rolled back over and licked her lips as she eyed Number up and down without his armor. Yang slid down from his lips, kissing his chest plate, then his stomach plate and finally reaching his waist.

"What? I don't get to see you without your gear?" Number questioned as she kissed his waist line. Yang looked up at him with those lilac eyes full of desire and replied "Of course, how selfish of me." She slid back up to his waist and gripped the bottom of her shirt, slowly pulling it off of herself and tossing it aside, revealing the black bra she wore underneath. Yang slid her hands behind her head and questioned with a smile "What do you think?" Number slid his hands up from her waist and gripped her chest, replying "I've wondered what they felt like for a while."

Yang gasped as Number gripped her breasts, giggling "Do EXO females not have breasts?"

"They do but they don't. They have breasts, but I can't do this with them."

Number slid his hands up beneath her bra, feeling the soft skin of her chest on his palms. Yang brought her hands up and grabbed Number's wrists, pressing them more into her chest. "Oh Number, it's been so long since I've had someone's hands on me." Yang moaned as she continued to keep Number's hands on her. Number sat up and wrapped his arms around Yang, whispering to you "I care about you Yang, as deeply as a machine can." Yang wrapped her arms around him and whispered back "You are not a machine. To me, you are a man… a man that I love."

Number pulled his head in front of Yang, who continued "Now take me as a man would." Number did as she asked, rolling them so Yang was on her back and causing the bed to creak even more dangerously. The night went on with the two, the bed eventually breaking under the stress of their motions. Even with a broken bed, the two continued with their love until the late hours of the night.

Number rolled off of Yang for who knows how many times, he had lost count since he didn't exactly operate like a normal person. Yang cuddled up to Number, her body hot and sweaty after their moments again and again. Yang panted "How many times has that been?" Number wrapped his arm around her and responded "I lost count."

"I really, really like your attachment. Especially the part where we can start again right after you finish. Tons of fun."

"I really, really like what you have. The implant EXO females have is nice, but the real thing? So much better."

Yang tried to cuddle closer and sighed "We should probably get back to your room before someone finds us here." Number looked down at her and questioned "Are we not allowed in here?"

"Technically no, but I have a feeling you don't want to move."

Number shifted to his side and embraced Yang, answering "Not quite yet. I like holding you in my arms." Yang placed her forehead against his chest and sighed "I could really use some sleep now, and I'm sure that you could go for some recharging."

"Indeed I could. Goodnight Yang."

"Goodnight Number."

Yang drifted off to sleep while Number shut down to let his power cell recharge, the two of the falling asleep with smiles on their face.

A/N: Well, looks like the brawlers have finally gotten together, and all it took was another life threatening incident. Regardless, PM or review any thoughts comments or concerns with the chapter. Until next time.
