Yo Peeps, GMG here with chapter 14 of BCB, the final piece of the main body of this fanfiction. As I have said to one of my peeps who I have been PM'ing back and forth about RWBY, this may or may not have a sequel. Most likely, though, since he brought it up, I will be doing one or more epilogue chapters about Ruby's children. Much easier to say than use all three names... Well, one of them will seem a bit familiar if you happen to have read Shadow Of A Rose... XD Hints.
Also, I'd like to take a moment to thank Cardinelwing. I appreciate all your feedback on my many RWBY works. You helped quite a bit and your messages came as a constant reminder that I had fics to write and people who read them.
I would also like to thank CodyKnight22, though he may not be here to read this one little thank you. You may not be one a follower of my works, but you had your feedback for some. You took the time to review Bloodstained Chessboard and this sequel and helped shaped the story, even though you didn't intend to. You rescued it from going across the line that leads to harem fics.
To MrFlawless, a.k.a. Jonesworth, I know you probably won't get to this for quite awhile because you're college has no wifi for the most part. You have reviewed every chapter I have posted that you've gotten to and I really appreciate it.
Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY.
The once proud office of Beacon's Headmaster, Ozpin, was now a dark thing to look at... No, literaly, it was dark. Like, the whole room is shrouded in darkness and it's very hard to see. Yeah, that kind of dark. Well...
Team RWBY and Tyson watched as the dark spread from around their foe and visibility dropped. Any light from the windows was slowly overwhelmed as the room became pitch black. Ruby held Crescent Rose tightly, silver eyes trying to see through the overbearing dark.
From inside the dark emerged a laugh, one arrogant and self assure. "I'm surprised, Tyson," said Daniel. "You would bring four children when you fought me. You and I both know what happened last time and you still cling to the belief that you are a hero?"
To Ruby's left, she heard the familiar voice of the man who had helped them with everything. "I am no hero, as it always has been," he replied cooly. "I killed many, but you killed many more than even I. You killed innocents and I won't let that stand."
The dark just chuckled. "Have you even shown them the form you used to fight me? Do they even know that you have such an evil within you? That you were the Rogue that struck so much fear into the hearts of our planet?"
Ruby then heard Weiss' voice cut through. "What are you talking about? He has done nothing to us and you say he is evil. You're the one behind all of the problems in this world and you say he's the bady guy. What kind of dunce are you?!"
Tyson spoke again. "Do not defend me, Miss Schnee. He is not entirely wrong." His voice came out strained and tired. "I have done many things I wish I hadn't, things that will seal my fate when I die. My only wish, now, is to prevent the suffering of others brought on by those like my old self."
Ruby frowned. He seemed so sad and broken. Could they even win this fight with Tyson like this. Suddenly, Yang's voice cut in. "Less talking, Ty! More bashing. We have a bad guy to roast!"
"I quite agree!" Yelled Daniel. "I believe our conversation is quite over. Let's see how well you do this time around."
Ruby went on high alert. She couldn't see, so she'd need to rely on her hearing. She heard the sound of clothing flapping about just as a clash sounded behind her. Whipping her head about, she saw two faces in the small light provided by the sparks. Tyson had stopped Daniel from slicing her down the middle. Tyson grit his teeth as he held the attack at bay. "A strike from behind, Daniel? You seem to be quite the rude one. This is hardly fair for them."
Just as he said that, four beams of light cut through the dark, causing Ruby to squint as one shined on her. When her eyes had adjusted, she could make out the lights that seemed to have illuminated her team, spreading out a few feet in everydirection, with the girls in the center. She glanced at Tyson who was smirking. This was his doing! Now they could see Daniel coming,
The man disappeared back into the murky black as did Tyson, clashes being heard among the shadows. Suddenly, the two appeared in Yang's beam, the two grappling each other. The blonde didn't even bat an eyelash as she turned and threw a punch at their enemy. Daniel pulled away from Tyson and slipped to the side to evade the attack. He stepped back to go back into dark, but Yang had grabbed his wrist and brought him in close and hooking him across the jaw, sending him flying back into his destination. She nodded to Tyson who slipped back in with his foe.
The pattern seemed to conitnue, the two fighting in the dark before Tyson would throw them into one of the pillars of light, where one of Team RWBY would attack Daniel before he could escape. Ruby heard the fighting close in on her and turned as the two appeared next to her, prompting her to swing her scythe over a ducking Tyson, only to be blocked by Daniel. His victory was short lived as Tyson slammed his forearm between the DarkMaster's legs, hitting some rather important cargo on the man.
With a groan, the man bent forward as a fist connected with his face and sent him flying back. Tyson stood and smiled at Ruby. "Thanks for the help."
"No problem, Ty. We're even now," she replied, grinning back.
The dark around them faded... no, it was being pulled in. The room came back into view as the shadows pooled around Daniel, once more shrouding him in dark energy. His face was pulled into a snarl as his pitch black eyes bore into the girls. "It's about time to step up this game. I will make you pay dearly for standing against me, you whores."
Tyson appeared above him, falling through a portal as he slammed his heel down on the man's head, a frown on his face. "Such foul language, Black. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?"
What happened next was a shock to Team RWBY, Blake most of all. The man shimmered as a copy separated and the hit form disappeared. The DarkMaster brought his own sword around to hit Tyson in the air, but the masked man was able to parry with his daggers as he hit the floor and fell through it, disappearing from sight. Seeing that their enemy was distracted, Ruby motioned for the team to attack.
The girls ran forward, Yang reaching their foe first. Blake being her partner, she knew how to fight someone with an ability similar to the cat faunus' semblance. She feinted a strike to his jaw before turning to throw a punch to the copy that appeared beside the original, the blow slamming Daniel to the ground.
Blake followed up, bringing down the sheath of Gambol Shroud as his sword came up to block it. Crescent Rose followed and the man rolled away, dodging it and coming up on his feet, only to block a dagger from behind. Daniel gritted his teeth as he pushed Tyson back. Even being stronger than Tyson was, the girls more than made up the difference. How his rival could handle fighting multiple enemies was something he never quite grasped. Snarling, he built his power and the shadows around him split into two shapes beside him, pulling together to form roughly humanoid shapes, both holding a sword like him. "Get them!"
Team RWBY took a defensive formation as the two clones approached, Weiss blocking their initial attack with a glyph. The first clone swung at the glyph again as the other tried going around it. Ruby, Blake, and Yang all closed around Weiss in a triangle to keep her safe. Not only was the heriess pregnant, she was also their defense specialist. The glyphs could keep them safe from attacks that couldn't be blocked by weapons alone.
Blake's eyes narrowed as the second clone came at her. She pulled the blade from her sheath, switching to the stance for wielding both blades. She blocked an overhead strike before slicing under it's arm to try and hit it's torso, but it passed through to her surprise. "They can switch between physical and ethereal. They can hit you but it'll be hard to hit them."
Ruby processed that before an idea came to mind. "Yang, switch out with Blake and use your semblance on him. If Weiss' glyphs can touch them, maybe your fiery aspect can too."
The boxer nodded and threw a punch at the figure as Blake took her place. Her eyes shifted into red as a silhouette of flames surrounded Ember Celica. Grinning at the challenge, she closed in on the clone, throwing a punch at his head. It ducked under the strike, but her knee, also covered with flames from her semblance, came up under it slamming into it's chin and sending it crashing into the ground. So, they could understand it seemed.
The first also managed to get around and attack from Ruby's side. The caped leader looked back at Weiss who nodded. With a click, Myrtenaster was coated in red as Ruby blocked the clone's attack. Weiss stabbed at the shadow, her rapier slipping through Ruby's stance and piercing the shadow's shoulder before fire ignited on the limb. An unearthly sound came from it as it's arm fell off at the shoulder. Taking advantage of the seemingly in pain creature, she stabbed again, impaling it through the head, causing it to drop with another scream.
The second got up, but stayed back, it's form flickering as the sword disippated. The blade vanished as a crossbow took form. They did indeed learn. Weiss shifted to face with Yang and pulled up a glyph just as a bolt fired from the cross bow. The projectile fell with a clang and disappeared. While holding up the glyph, Weiss pulled out a clip from her pocket that she handed to Blake (1). The fanus looked at the dust filled clip and smiled lightly. Perfect.
"Bumblebee!" Cried Ruby, sending both Yang and Blake running at the creature. Yang came in with a hook, the shadow sidestepping before blocking a strike from Blake's weapon. It tried to push her off but Yang threw a punch at it's middle.
It fell, but before the punch connected. It just dropped to the ground. Normally, that move would hurt whoever did it, but the shadow didn't seem to feel anything as it dropped to the ground, instead switching into a sweep kick, which the partners jumped over. As they jumped, it shifted and pushed itself to its feet and stepping back, firing another bolt at Yang. The blonde brought up one of her gauntlets, blocking it with ease.
Ruby watched as they fought before an idea came to her. "Yang, hold it off!" She tuned to Weiss. "Checkmate!"
Blake retreated as the blonde engaged the shadow. Behind her, Weiss was building up her aura for a glyph. This one would need to be just right if the wanted to take down the creature. Flicking Myrtenaster downward, a small burst of energy jumped forward and slammed down at Blake's feet, a clock-like glyph forming under the faunus. Blake looked at Yang before calling out to her partner, speech a bit faster than normal. "Yang, move!"
The blonde used her gauntlets to fire herself away in a rapid retreat. Just as she cleared the area, a large crescent of energy stuck the shadow, followed by another twenty. One after the other shredding the shadow until it was mere slivers of dark energy that faded, a scream echoing as it vanished. The two creatures gone, the girls turned to see where Daniel was.
The DarkMaster flicked Tyson's blade aside before shifting to knock the other way. His eyes narrowed as Tyson threw a kick at him. He sidestepped as the strike came from behind, Tyson having used a portal to try and catch him off guard. As if, he mused. He knew his enemy quite well. Underneath the GateMaster, the shadows swirled as they leapt up and formed into needles.
Tyson jumped up as they followed, forming portals underneath him to jump further until he reached the ceiling and he passed through that with another one, the needles slamming into the surface. Daniel looked around, awaiting the next attack. Tyson was likely to attack from behind, so he had shifted his balance so he could turn to block with ease before stabbing the masked man between the eyes. What a fool he was.
A chain link slammed into his throat as Tyson jumped over him, daggers on either end of the chain. As he landed, he pulled on the chain, bringing Daniel slamming into the ground. The DarkMaster wheezed in pain before dispersing in shadows and pooling together a few feet away, crouching with a hand rubbing his throat. "Lucky shot," he growled. "It won't happen again."
Tyson shrugged. "Maybe not, but I won't need to."
Daniel glared. "What?" He would've asked more, but a blade suddenly protruded from his chest. The familiar slim blade belonging to one Weiss Schnee. The DarkMaster looked over his shoulder and into the angry blue eyes of the heiress. He pondered the events before nodding. "It seems I have lost again. Well played, young Schnee. A truly dark move to pull, to stab one from behind." He looked back to Tyson and smirked. "I guess the fun had to end, but we both know that I'll be back. I look forward to our next dance, Tyson. Next time, maybe not bring a party to help? I do like our solo acts."
Tyson nodded to the man. "Very well, Daniel. When the time comes." He walked forward, one of his daggers shifting into a sword. "May Arkon welcome you once more, Dark Master Daniel Pitch Black." With a swift move, he decapitated the man before both head and body exploded into shadows, leaving only Daniel's weapons and a small gem behind.
Ruby looked at the wrecked office and smiled. "We won! Banzai!"
The others all smiled before chorusing, "Banzai!"

Yang had lead them into the room, facing off against her lover's counterpart. Now, some might think she was brash and always charged into any fight head on, but she could make a plan... even if it still included her rushing in headfirst anyways. She turned to look at Cinder, her Cinder. "Stay out of this one. You're in no condition to fight. We'll handle this."
Yang's Cinder almost rebutted, saying that her wrists were fine now, but she caught on. "Alright Yang. Just be careful." With that said, she retreated behind the rest of the girls, Emerald standing beside her with her chain scythes out.
Ruby also caught onto their little plan and smiled. This could work out perfectly if they played it right. Cinder only expected to face Team RWBY and Emerald, with a crippled copy of herself watching. She didn't know that her counterpart was no longer crippled. "Yang, you know what to do. We'll provide back up."
The brawler nodded and turned back to the enemy Cinder. Using her gauntlets to propel herself forward, she caught the ground with her heel to stop herself and bringing her other foot forward, stepping into an uppercut, only for Cinder to lean away from. Yang fired a round from the gauntlet still held near her torso, the explosive shell catching the sorceress off guard and sending her flying back.
Cinder managed to right herself and prepared to cast a spell, but she was forced to change tactics as a rapier appeared out of the corner of her eye. A blade materialized in her hands as she blocked Myrtenaster and used her free hand to summon a glyph under Weiss, setting to ignite it. One of Weiss's own overlapped as the heiress planned to retreat. To their shock, the two glyphs flickered and cancelled out.
Blake, noticing the shock of both, used it to her advantage and tried to slice Cinder through the middle. A slight flash of red caught her off guard as the woman's aura blocked the hit and alerted the sorceress to the strike. Gritting her teeth, the sorceress flared her aura and pushed them both back with a wall of flames. She didn't use her full power, so she didn't drain herself, which meant the flames weren't lethal or even injuring given the aura of her opponents.
As they were knocked away, a bow materialized in Cinder's hands as she fired three arrows at the three closest to her. What she didn't expect was for Ruby to appear in a burst of petals and block the arrows with the spinning form of Crescent Rose, the large weapon holding the attack at bay, even when the arrows burst into flames. Reaching behind herself, Cinder pulled out a canister of dust and clicked it open. She poured some into her palm, grinning as grains of shining red fell into her waiting hand.
"Let's see how you handle this," she purred, jumping back and bringing her hand up to her mouth. She breathed out, a small flame contacing the dust as she pulled her hand away. A large torrent of flames exploded into existence and roared towards Team RWBY.
Weiss switched Myrtenaster's revolver until it hit the blue roll. Stabbing her blade into the ground, a large wall of ice jumped up and took the hit from the flames, immediately evaporating under the heat but keeping the girls safe. Looking at Cinder, she saw a second canister attached to the small of her back. Looking back to Ruby, she spoke to her partner. "There's another canister on her back. Get Yang to keep her busy and you try to get it from her while she's busy with the brute."
Ruby nodded. "Do it, Yang."
Slamming her fists together, the blonde grinned. "You got it, Rubes."
Cinder landed lightly, watching with amusement as Yang charged in again. She saw the first strike coming and dodged the jab to her chest and flicked the container, which released more dust, surrounding Yang. Exhaling a small stream of fire, she watched as the dust exploded again, but frowned when Yang's aura jumped in power. Her semblance had kicked in, it seemed. Cursing to herself, Cinder needed to keep from hitting the blonde too much.
She ducked under another strike before trying to stab the girl through the knee with a materialized blade. Yang was quick to throw up her aura as it hit, but she still dropped to her knees. Cinder stood quickly and brought her knee up, knocking the blonde back with a stirke to the chin. Yang stumbled back before falling, spitting out some blood from the tooth rattling strike. She stood with a smile, causing some confusion from Cinder before she felt the canister on her back get pulled away. She whipped around, only to see a few petals. Turning back, she was surprised to see Ruby landing near the other Cinder and handing her the canister.
Her counterpart walked forward and stood before her with a smile on her face. "I believe it's time for a clichè, no? Fight fire with fire and see who wins. I do wonder how you'll hold up."
The original Cinder just smirked. "You're still crippled. The odds are in my favor."
"I don't think so," the other replied. "You have used enough energy against these girls and I am not as crippled as you would seem to believe." Lifting the canister, she smirked. "Now, let's get to it."
The original released more dust and spit a large fireball towards her counterpart, who lifted her free hand and cut through the flame with little to no problems, taking a step forward and returning the same attack. She had been right about one thing, fighting RWBY had drained Cinder's energy and she knew how hard it actually was to cut through flames like that. Still, she wouldn't be outdone and proceeded to cut through the fireball, though the strain showed on her face.
Ruby watched as the two continued exchanging fire and cutting through the other's attacks. It appeared that Cinder's pride was being used against her. The woman wouldn't be outdone, ven by herself, so any attack her counterpart could fend off, she could too. Yang's Cinder seemed rather unfazed, cutting through the attacks like they were mere insects before her. It might have had something to do with the fact that she hadn't used her aura in quite awhile. The original, though, was tired and looked drained, but determined. After blocking one attack, she finally collapsed to a knee as the other casually strolled over to her.
Cinder Fall stared up at her own face as her own golden eyes glared back at her. "This is the end," she heard in her own voice. Her last sight was a flurry of red dust and a bright light as her world was enveloped in fire."
Team RWBY looked on in morbid fascination as the burnt form of their enemy fell to the ground, lifeless. They had won.

To tell the truth, Ozpin found it a bit frustrating. Only one of his students even got to really do anything important. Sure, there were the occasional White Fang who actually reached the teachers only to be cut down, but most were stopped by the twenty strangers that had appeared. The enemies were slaughtered, to be honest, and Ozpin had been surprised when one had appeared and asked to borrow one of his second year students, Coco.
He agreed as the man lead the leader of Team CFVY to a spot and asked her to mow down some of the White Fang. Somehow, he has known what type of weapon the beret wearing girl used, showing no surprise as she readied her over the top gun and bullets started cutting through lines of people. Ozpin's surprise went further as the man had apologized to her afterwards, saying that he was sorry that she had to kill that day.
Within an hour, the largest force ever seen in Remnant was crushed thoroughly and the few survivors were detained. As the students returned to their dorms, teachers at hand to deal with any White Fang still in the school, Ozpin turned to see the man from earlier walking towards him.
"Greetings, Ozpin," said the man, a wolfish grin in place. "My name is Vizar Cain, second in command under Tyson. We thank you for the assistance from Miss Beret Girl and her little purse of death. It's quite pleasing to see such a powerful weapon in this realm."
Ozpin nodded. "And we thank you for your help in defending Beacon, Mr. Cain. I doubt we would've won otherwise."
The man grinned again. "No problem, it's not often I get to test my mettle against an army. It's been too long since last I had that much fun."
"Beacon would like to extend it's thanks, nonetheless. Should you ever require our help, alert us and we will be ready to assist you, though you seem to have it covered."
Vizar chuckled. "Very well, Ozpin. I will notify Tyson of your offer of help. Farewell for now."
"Farewell."
End...
(1) The same one from Volume 2, Episode 11.
Well... there you go! I will write the epilogue at some point, so yeah. For the most part, though, BCB2 is now over. I hope you enjoyed this story and I'll get to that epilogue, okay? If you're wondering on what you could read after this, feel free to check out my other RWBY fics, but I have one I'd like to point out.
PLEASE READ THIS ONE THING!
A few authors and I have begun a collaboration work that has it's first chapter up on my page. Check out Converging Paths, another RWBY fanfiction. This one is planned to have releases every two weeks and has four or five people working on it, so the chapters shouldn't be late or short.
To everybody who took the time to read Bloodstained Chess Board...
Thank you, so very very much. I have had a lot of fun writing this story and am so happy that it's been so successful with you all. I only hope to make you happier with my other works and keep pressing forward with new storied.
