"Beach party tonight! It's going to be amazing!" Sasha exclaimed, seating herself at the bar of Angelo's in lieu of a greeting to her boyfriend.

"Hello to you too." Kyle laughed, leaning towards her for a quick peck.

"I'll meet you outside the surf club at, like, seven?" Sasha continued, barely listening to Kyle. She was looking forward to this party more than anything. It was the last party of the school holidays and all her friends seemed to be getting along now that Maddy had Josh. It made her life so much easier, and what better way to celebrate this newfound harmony than with a party?

"Oh, I'm going am I?" Kyle teased, already thinking of who he could get to cover the final hour of his shift.

"Babe, everyone's going. You're not too cool to hang out with us are you? Don't want to lose your street credit with the River Boys?" Sasha teased, accepting the drink Kyle had poured for her.

"I hate you, you know that right?" Kyle laughed, leaning in closer to share a kiss with his girlfriend.

"Kyle Braxton, you better not be trying to get me drunk." Sasha laughed, swapping the spiked punch for a sealed can of coke. Her father would never let her out of the house again if she came home drunk.

"Damn it. That was my master plan. Get you drunk, then take you home when you're wasted so your father can murder me." Kyle teased back, steering them towards a log by the fire. Sasha took a seat on a spare log between Rosie and Spencer, and Maddy and Josh.

"I hope you're leaving everything to me in your will." Sasha laughed, feeling lighter from the few drinks she consumed earlier.

"Is that why you're with me? Are you just a gold digger?" Kyle asked, sarcasm dripping from his voice, as he pulled Sasha into him.

"Just? No, of course not. I'm a genius gold digger." Sasha giggled, before kissing Kyle with a gentleness foreign to them both. They stayed like this long into the night, bathing in the warm glow of the fire, exchanging stories, stealing kisses, occasionally talking to their friends, but more often than not, enjoying each other's company. Sasha felt happier than she had in a long, long time and it was all because of Kyle. Her Kyle. Her train of thought was broken when Kyle's phone went off for the billionth time.

"Maybe you should just answer it?" Sasha suggested, breaking her kiss, instead settling for resting her head on his shoulder.

"The only person I care enough about to answer is sitting right in front of me." Kyle smiled, placing a kiss on her neck. Sasha leant back, offering easier access, but when his phone went off again her resolve was broken.

"Answer the stupid thing before I throw it in the ocean." Sasha said, angry at the distraction. Kyle laughed, placing a kiss on his girlfriend's lips before pulling the phone out. His face fell as soon as he read the screen, knowing he had to get home, well he should have been there hours ago.

"What's wrong?" Sasha asked, immediately knowing something was wrong as Kyle's features darkened in the fire light.

"I'm sorry babe, but I have to go." Kyle sighed, already standing up, ready to leave.

"More Braxton drama?" Sasha grimaced as he nodded, kissing him goodbye and watching his retreating back.

"Now that you are finally not one with Kyle, do you wanna come have a swim with us?" Maddy asked, already stripping to reveal her bright bikini.

"Third wheel? No thank you." Sasha laughed, settling herself next to Rosie.

"Spence and I are going in, no third wheeling it for you." Maddy laughed, pulling her friend up.

"Count me in!" Sasha elatedly replied, running into the water with two of her best friends.

No more than ten minutes later Rosie stopped her conversation with Josh mid sentence, seeing the worry in her friend and boyfriend's face as they approached at a rapid pace.

"We can't find Sasha. She's gone." Maddy cried, falling into Josh's arms.

"Kyle! Finally, I've been trying to reach you all morning!" Rosie exclaimed as soon as she heard Kyle's voice on the other end of the line.

"I know, I've got a million calls from you, not to even mention the texts. What did you want to tell me?" Kyle sighed, rubbing sleep from his eyes. He had had the worse sleep after being kept up all night by the screaming of his fellow housemates. His family was not a happy bunch at the moment, and he wished he had stayed on the beach with Sasha. Hearing that Ricky had lost her baby was heartbreaking, but seeing how angry Brax was with the news was worse. He knew how much Brax anticipated being a father, giving his child a better upbringing than he, but know that chance was ripped from him, just as it had been with Heath.

"I should probably tell you in person, meet me at the diner in ten?" Rosie asked, her voice growing more worried with each passing second.

"Yeah, I'll see you soon." Kyle replied, ending the it was, it wasn't good and Kyle wasn't sure how much more bad news he could handle.
