I sighed, looking down at my shoes. What was I supposed to say? Just tell her, Viola just fucking tell her. I looked at her but something stopped me, the truth could not come out of my mouth. Olivia was upset, in my stupid mind, making her feel better now was far more important than telling her the truth.

"She is not my girlfriend." I said, which was true.

"Don't lie to me." Olivia shouted, it was ironic because that was probably the truest thing I've ever said to her. "Why would she be screaming that you were her boyfriend if you're not?"

"Monique is crazy." I said simply, another true statement.

"Why did you run off?" Olivia retorted, still not convinced.

"I reiterate, Monique is crazy." I said with a smile.

Olivia flattered in her anger, she looked into my eyes deeply as if attempting to extract the truth just from the look in my eyes. I didn't break the stare. I could stare into those blue orbs for a life time and not get tired of them. Olivia sighed and sat opposite me on Duke's bed.

"Any other crazy girls out there who believe that you're their girlfriend." Olivia said half-jokingly but I knew that it was a sincere question.

"Just a couple." I whispered leaning towards her, grabbing her hands. "Sorry, I always seem to mess it up when we are getting comfortable."

"We'll get it right some time." Olivia said smiling.

The way she said that made it sound as if she was expecting a future. Could we have one? It seemed impossible. As soon as I was done with the soccer and when my brother returns, it would all be over. No future. I looked at Olivia, she was looking right back at me with sad eyes. Could she sense it?

"Come to my room." Olivia whispered suddenly, pulling me up.

"Why?" I asked with a frown, Monique was obviously totally forgotten.

"I want to show you something." Olivia said, still holding my hand as she dragged me out of my dorm room. "I want to get your opinion."

In her room, Olivia made me turn my back and close my eyes just to make sure. I laughed as I heard her fumbling through her wardrobe. Then I distinctly heard clothes coming off, I was itching to turn around at this moment but I restrained myself.

"You can look now." Olivia said.

Olivia was standing their looking absolutely breathtaking in a white dress. It had sequins on the side which sparkled from the sunlight that was coming through the window. It seemed that the dress was made for her, the way it cut just right for her curvaceous body. Olivia laughed.

"Like it?" Olivia questioned, though she must have known I did because she raised her eyebrow in that super sexy way she usually does.

"Like?" I said, walking towards her. "That does not come even close. You're gorgeous, beautiful - a fucking vision."

Olivia blushed, doing a twirl. I was about to crush her in a hug but she held her hands up.

"No, don't crease it." Olivia ordered. "It's for the debutante ball. I want you take me."

There was a silence as I frowned. Shit. I was supposed to go to that but I managed to convince my mum that I would be too busy with schoolwork and would attend the next one. I couldn't turn up as Sebastian who was supposed to be dad's house.

"I can't." I said honestly, the said look was back in her eyes. "Not because I don't want to but I'll be at my dad's house."

"Who can take me then?" Olivia breathed out, sounding annoyed.

"You should take Duke." I said it without thinking, but I immediately regretted it when I saw the angry look in her eyes.

"Now you're back to trying to hook Duke and I together?" Olivia said, hands on her hips.

I sighed. This was getting fucking tiring, from one battle to the next. Who knew being a boy would be so difficult. I realised that it would be much easier for my state of mind, Olivia reputation and for Duke's happiness - despite what he said about not liking her - it would be better if I tried to play Cupid. It was a plan.

"No, I'm just saying that taking Duke would be fun and also he's a gent enough not to drop his hands inappropriately." I said, trying to be convincing.

Olivia, sat down on her bed and seemed to in thought. I think my reasoning seemed to have won out because she sighed as if she wasn't going to argue with my reasoning.

"I suppose your right." Olivia said, she looked at me seriously. "What are we?"

I was so thrown by the question that I thought I misheard her but by her look, I hadn't and she expecting an answer.

"What do you mean?" I asked, playing dumb.

"You know what I mean." Olivia said simply.

There was silence between us. I didn't know what to say. Olivia must have been sick with my hot and cold signals which wasn't entirely surprising. I was about to ask another dumb question when Maria saved me by bursting into the room.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Maria said with a grin as she looked at the two of us. "Am I disturbing something."

Before Olivia could answer, I said no and gave her smile, ignoring the scowl that was now throwing in my direction. Maria sensed the tension, she was the kind a person that attempted to talk through the tension instead of letting it fester.

"What have you been up to? Maria asked evenly.

"Nothing much." I said, I looked at Olivia who was staring ahead, as if she was deep in thought.

I had to get out of here.

"Anyway, I've got some homework due tomorrow." I excused. "So I better be off, I'll see you ladies later."

I exited as fast as I could, and let out a breath when I was on the other side of the door. I had dodged that bullet, but I was sure that the question would come up again. I probably wouldn't be able to answer it then either. I ignored the problem and focused on soccer. Then Olivia's sweet face popped out of nowhere, fucking hell...
