Hello! Sorry for the long update. I've been sick with the flu (still sick too) and my Internet's been out. I'm sorry to disappoint y'all but this will be the last chapter of the story. But I did enjoy writing this. Hope you all enjoy. :)
Klaus, Rebekah and Kol all stared at Taylor in surprise at the news she had just told them.
"How did he make you a hybrid?" Klaus asked her.
"I don't know how he came up with this but he used your baby's blood." Klaus' eyes went wide. "He injected me with the baby's blood then snapped my neck. I woke up and he told me I had to feed on Hayley to complete it. I was trying to fight it but I couldn't. But now I feel, like, a million times stronger than I was before. I ripped out two hearts at the same time!" Klaus listened to every word she had said.
"Well, Nik, you have a new way to make hybrids now," said Kol. "You can finally have the family you've always wanted," he said with a hint of sadness in his voice.
"No," Klaus said quietly. "I would never use my child like that." Kol and Rebekah looked at him in shock. "I know I can be a bastard at times, but I will never use my child for my own intents and purposes."
Rebekah smiled at him. "Oh, Nik, I'm so proud of you." She wrapped him in a hug. "You're going to be a good father." Klaus hugged his sister back.
Taylor stared at the happy siblings. For the first time in a long time they were acting like a real family.
"Umm, I hate to break up this happy family reunion, but there's something else I need to tell y'all," said Taylor.
Klaus walked into his home to find Elijah and Hayley comforting Cami. She was clutching onto an empty blood bag.
"So you fed," Klaus told her, no emotions in his voice.
"Yeah," she said without any emotion. "And the bad part is that I enjoyed it."
Taylor sat down next to her sister. "Cami, I'm sorry I got you involved in the middle of all this. You know I never meant to."
Elijah ushered for everybody to leave the living room so both sisters could have some privacy. They appreciated it.
"Tay, you don't have to apologize. I've come to terms with this. Just like how you did when you learned when you was a werewolf. Or still are? What is a hybrid exactly?"
Taylor chuckled. "Klaus said I have both the powers of a vampire and a werewolf. The good thing is I'm not forced to change anymore when there's a full moon. I'm just like Klaus now, I guess you can say."
"I just hope you don't develop an attitude like him," Cami giggled.
"Ah no. I can't believe you're actually calm, cool and collected about all this. I mean you're a vampire now. I would have expected you to be freaking out."
"Oh, trust me, I was. But Elijah said he's gonna help me out through all of this. He's gonna teach me how to feed without killing." She shuddered thinking about that.
Taylor looked down at her hands, the blood of her victims were dried up. "What do you think Uncle Kieran would say if he found out what we are now? Or our parents?"
Cami fell back into the couch. "I honestly don't know. Our parents would probably never talk to us again."
"They haven't talked to me since I've been living in New Orleans." Taylor fell back into the couch too. "When the time's right we'll tell them."
Cami nodded in agreement. "When the time's right."
x
It was after midnight. Taylor laid in bed restless. Tired of staring up at the ceiling she hopped out of bed and went down to the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator door to see a blood bag with her name written on it. She picked it up with a confused look on her face.
"I thought you might be hungry."
She turned around to see Klaus sitting at the table. "You like sneaking up on people, don't you?"
Klaus smiled. "Not on purpose most of the time."
Taylor took a seat next to him. She ripped the blood bag open and let the crimson liquid slide down her throat. It definitely was a euphoric feeling the way Rebekah described it.
"Wow. I never knew blood could taste so good. Well it would make since I'm a half vampire now. God it's so crazy to think I'm a hybrid. I mean just a month ago I was so ready to move here and party it up. And now I'm this immortal, badass chick that can take on guys half my size."
Klaus sipped down a glass of blood. "I understand what you mean. I would have never imagined that I would be the most powerful creature on Earth a thousand years ago."
"Rebekah told me the reason why your mother turned you all into vampires. If you could go back in time would you stop you and your brother from ever sneaking out to watch the werewolves?" It was pretty bold of her to ask a question like that but she was curious.
The question took Klaus by surprise. Nobody had ever asked him that. But he was going to be honest with her. "I would."
"Even though that means never becoming vampires?"
Klaus sighed. "Yes. And I know that may surprise you since I like being the most powerful creature on Earth, but if it meant saving my brother then yes I would have given up on being a hybrid. Who knows, maybe things would have been better that way."
"Maybe," said Taylor. "And then again maybe not."
Klaus looked at her. "And what do you mean by that?"
"Well like you said you're the most powerful creature on this planet. You've been alive for over a thousand years. You still have Elijah and Rebekah. And you have a baby on the way. You're gonna become a daddy."
Klaus smiled to himself. "Yes, I guess you can say I've pretty much done it all."
"And I've gotten a chance to become part of your life," Taylor said quietly. That caught Klaus' attention. She laughed. "I've had a crush on you ever since I've met you," she finally admitted.
Klaus smiled that dimply smile. "I had a hunch. But the truth is I've had this attraction towards you too since I met you."
She smiled at him. "I never wanted to say anything because of Hayley, her being your baby mama."
He rolled his eyes. "It was a one time thing. It will never happen again. And I know she's fallen in love with Elijah."
"Boy this is gonna be so weird for the baby. Ella's not gonna know what to think."
"Ella?"
"Ella Grace. It's the name Hayley came up with for the baby. She really didn't wanna ask for your opinion."
Klaus rolled his eyes. "I helped make the child, I should have a say so in what her name's gonna be."
Taylor giggled. "But you're not gonna be the one delivering her."
He just scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Her name's going to be Sophia Rose."
"Sophia Rose. That's a pretty name. But you know what would be an even better name? Taylor Anne."
Klaus chuckled. "After you."
"Mhmm. You can't beat Taylor."
"I guess the day she finally graces her presence will be the day we know her name for sure."
9 months later...
It had been 3 months today since Sophia Grace Anne Mikaelson made her debut. Everybody was a bundle of nerves. Elijah helped deliver Sophia while all the girls were at Hayley's side. Klaus was pacing back and forth waiting for his daughter to be delivered.
She was a screaming bundle. She had dark, curly hair like her mother and her father's blue eyes. Hayley cried tears of joy holding her daughter.
"Niklaus, come see your daughter," Elijah had said to him.
Klaus couldn't believe he was holding a child...his child. Tears rolled down his face at the sheer beauty of her. Her blue eyes twinkled and she had a smile on her face looking up at him.
"She's beautiful."
Everybody had fallen in love with Sophia. She definitely had Klaus wrapped around her finger.
During those nine months Cami had learned more everyday about her new life as a vampire. Elijah had made a good teacher. She had learned to compel people and take their blood without having to kill them. She still wasn't used to it but was learning to adjust everyday.
Taylor and Cami's parents didn't take too kindly learning the news about their daughters. In fact, they told the both of them they were never allowed around their home ever again.
"I can't believe they would just do that to us," Cami cried. "We never asked for any of this."
"At least we still have Uncle Kieran.
Kieran never turned his back on his nieces. He was shocked to hear about them now but he knew they didn't never asked for this life.
"I just want you girls to know I will never abandon you."
He was really shocked to learn about the death of Marcel. And about Davina turning into a vampire. She didn't like her new lifestyle either: powerless, doomed to spend eternal life as a 16 year old vampire. But she had Josh by her side. And he was helping her get through everyday too.
Klaus had taken back New Orleans as king and Taylor as his queen. They got together after they both admitted their feelings towards each other. It was the happiest Klaus had been in a long time.
Elijah and Hayley also had gotten together. They admitted their feelings towards each other after he saved her from almost getting killed.
"Just know I will always protect you."
Kol had taken off in search for Hannah after Rebekah told him she compelled her to leave New Orleans. Rebekah had told Taylor Brooke just took off and left without a trace. Kol and Hannah started dating not long afterwards. Even though she was still new to the whole vampire thing she really liked Kol and wanted to see what it would be like dating a vampire.
Klaus and Taylor were standing on a balcony overlooking the French Quarter.
"How does it feel to be the king again?" she asked wrapping her arm around his.
"I'm finally free," he said looking up towards the sky. "For the first time in over a thousand years I'm finally free. No more Mikael. No more Marcel. No more Tyler. Just you, me, Sophia and our family."
Taylor and Cami were now permanently living with the Mikaelsons.
"You make a fine king. And Sophia makes the perfect little princess."
Klaus smiled at the mention of his daughter. "Yes, she is a little princess. Spoiled rotten."
"I think Rebekah has a part in that," Taylor giggled. Rebekah loved her little niece. Klaus leaned forward and gave Taylor a long, lingering kiss on the lips.
They continued to stand in silence as they overlooked the people of New Orleans. Taylor never imagined her life at 18 as an immortal hybrid, dating another immortal hybrid, with her sister being a vampire, and also being a stepmother to a hybrid baby. And she wouldn't want it any other way.
The End!
