Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Howdy Y'all! Sorry this chapter took a few months to write, but at least it's here now. I won't keep you waiting for any longer!
Frizzle: Yes, because that would be mean. Disclaimer: Slytherin – Fanatic 911 does not own D N Angel or Jun Jou Romantica but she does own her own characters, Sayuri (Satoshi's twin sister). Now… ON WITH THE STORY!
Krad mixed the cake batter with a frown on his face. It was only a week until that damn heist. Just a week until he was forced to see that god damn thief again. It had been four years since the last time he had seen Dark and it had been a blissful four years.
Receiving that note over a month ago had been the worst. It was bad enough that he would be in the same city, breathing the same air as him, but he had the nerve to steal his painting, his painting, on top of that. Un-fucking-believable. As much as he would rather leave the country than see Dark again, he would never, never let Dark take his painting. That was crossing the line.
And, of course, as if that wasn't bad enough, Dark had decided to stage his little 'look at me' show on fucking Christmas Eve. Arguably, the busiest night of the year. The. Worst. So instead of having a fantastic meal with everyone, he was forced to cut dinner short so he could kick Dark's arse. That fucking piece of shit would suffer his wrath.
Krad carefully poured the cake batter into a cake tin then put it into the oven. He set the timer then got started on a batch of muffins. Yes. He was baking. Unnecessarily baking. There was no way Satoshi and Sayuri would eat three cakes, six batches of cookies and three batches of muffins. But… just like painting, it gave him a release.
"Stupid Mousy," Krad muttered, glaring at the blueberries that were to his left.
A knock on the door forced him to look up and say, "It's open."
It opened and Hiroki walked in. He crossed his arms.
"What the fuck do you fucking want?" Krad asked.
"Hiwatari messaged me an hour ago asking me to rescue you guys from the abundance of baked goods," Hiroki replied.
"Piece of shit," Krad muttered. He glanced to the counter and saw it covered in the products of his labour. "Take what you want."
Hiroki walked over the counter and picked up a chocolate chip cookie. He took a bite and asked, "So what's with the baking, anyway? You participating in a Bake Sale or something?"
"It's all his fault," Krad said. "That damn Dark."
"It's his fault you're baking? Please. Tell me more."
Krad glared at Hiroki. "I haven't seen or heard from that arsehole in four years, ever since he broke my heart. Now he's come crawling back to ruin my life further."
"If you hate him that much just tell him to fuck off."
Krad bit his lip. He wished, beyond anything else, he could do just that. But he couldn't. Every part of him was crying out for the thief. Being separated from his other half for this long was painful.
"I still love him," Krad whispered. "No matter what, I can't stop loving him."
"Even though he broke your heart and is in town to screw you over some more?"
"That's why I fucking hate him." Krad felt his eyes sting with tears. "Why can't he leave me alone?"
There was silence between the pair for a few moments. Krad just stared in the bowl of batter, trying to blink tears out of his eyes. Why was he opening up like this to Hiroki of all people? Why did he still love Dark…?
"I get it," Hiroki said, breaking the silence. "I know what it's like to be in love with someone like that. You need to find your own happiness, away from him. Don't let him hurt you anymore."
Krad wiped his eyes. He took a deep breath and nodded.
"You don't take shit from anybody and I don't expect you to take shit from this loser. Now," Hiroki picked up a plate of cookies and a plate of muffins, "I'll see you 'round, okay?"
Krad nodded. He watched Hiroki leave then let out a sigh. Hiroki was right. He shouldn't let Dark fuck him over. The next time he saw that purple headed fuck face, he would make sure Dark knew exactly how he felt.

…With Argentine…
When Argentine first visited Sayuri at work he had wanted nothing more than to tell her everything. What had held him back had been the fact that she didn't recognise him. She had just stared at him in confusion. It was to be expected. It had been four years since he had last seen her and they both aged. It hurt, though.
Finally, finally seeing her again had brought forth so many questions. When he reintroduced himself, would she want him? Or would she reject him? The last time they had properly spoken, she'd told him she didn't love him. After a lot of thought, he'd come to the conclusion that she was lying to protect his feelings, along with her brother and Kokuyoku's. Even with that in mind, what were the chances that she still felt the same way?
No, he couldn't think that way. He didn't become human or come all the way to Toyo to give up now. It was the same with Daisuke and Dark. He had to at least get closure.
And, he had the whole thing planned out. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't just confess his feelings outright. He couldn't stand to be rejected so soon. So he would test the waters first. He'd send love letters, flowers, and other such gifts to see how she'd react. Then, then he'd go up to her and tell her everything. And hopefully, she'd reciprocate.
Argentine let out a breath and looked around the apartment. It was spotless. He smirked and started to put away the cleaning supplies. After that, he went to the kitchen and started to choose dinner. He was grateful that Daisuke and Dark had let him stay. When he first followed them to Tokyo, he had no set plan of where he would stay, which was an oversight. He had to see Sayuri again, though. If he had been sent home, then Emiko would've been furious. No, he couldn't think about that. It was worth all the anger in the world if he got Sayuri back.
Argentine smiled. Things… were looking up. There was still a ways to go before everything had settled down and were finally back to how they should be, but they were looking up.

…With Dark…
"You know, Azumano had its charms and all, but I think I'm starting to like Tokyo better," Dark said.
Daisuke and he were currently at Mitsuhashi University, sitting on the lawn on the campus. It was… quite an experience for Dark. For 300 years or so he had been more of less stuck in Azumano. Sure, he had heard about what lied outside of the small town but it was always unattainable for him. Out of all his tamers, Daisuke was the only one who had shown interest in the world outside of Azumano. It was refreshing.
"Yeah," Daisuke said, stretching his legs out in front of him, "there's a lot of different people here and it's so much bigger. There's more diversity. I can see why Satoshi-kun decided to move here."
Dark made a noise of agreement and examined a pack of girls that were eyeing him. Krad would enjoy Tokyo as well.
"Well, depending on how your eventual talk with Creepy goes, you might end up living here," Dark said. He grinned at the girls, causing them to giggle.
"Hopefully, he'll actually be willing to talk," Daisuke muttered.
"He will be," a new voice said. Dark turned and saw a brunette standing just behind Daisuke. He sat down next to Daisuke and continued, "Sorry for eavesdropping but, you don't need to worry. I talked with him just after your… fight and he's willing to talk to you."
"Takahashi-kun…" Daisuke said. He gave a small smile. "Guess that means we just need to find a time to talk then…"
There was silence for a while before Dark rolled his eyes and said, "I'm Dark, Daisuke's… best friend. What's your name?"
"Oh, my name is Takahashi Misaki. It's nice to you, Dark-san."
"Uh, just Dark is fine." Memories of a young Risa flashed through his mind. "You're a student here, right, Misaki-chan?"
"Ye-yeah. I'm studying Economics. I met Niwa-kun in my Literature class."
"Hmph, sounds fun."
"Sayuri-chan is in that class as well," Daisuke said, looking to Dark. "Takahashi-kun told me that she's studying Art History and Literature."
"And Creepy's a cop like he was back in Azumano."
What about Krad, though?
Dark pursed his lips. Since he came back a few years ago, Emiko and the others had been doing research about how to break the connection with Kokuyoku so he could live permanently. The enchantment that had turned Argentine human wasn't strong enough to affect him. Where he was at the moment, he wasn't ageing but there was no need for him to go back to Kokuyoku. He didn't want to go back either. This was the longest time he had spent outside of that cursed artwork and he didn't want to lose what he had here, with Daisuke. He often wondered if Krad felt the same.
Misaki turned to Daisuke with a frown on his face and asked, "Creepy? Is that meant to be… Satoshi?"
Daisuke laughed. "Yeah, Dark gave him the nickname 'Creepy Boy' back in middle school."
Misaki let out a breath of laughter. "Was he really creepy back then? In high school, he was more… aloof."
Daisuke let out a huff. "He was like that back then as well. It's just Dark-"
"No way. He always used to stare at you all day and write in that notebook of his. Creepy."
"He was only writing in that notebook so he could catch you!"
Dark rolled his eyes. Well, at the very least it seemed that all that lurking and staring had paid off. Satoshi was a cop now and according to his information, he was in charge of his heist once more. He was actually looking forward to seeing what Satoshi was planning. It had been four years since his last good challenge and Satoshi had the experience of working with the Tokyo Police. But, what he was most looking forward to, with the heist, was seeing Krad again. There was no way his other half could resist coming to stop him, and his time they'd have a national audience.
Dark smirked. "I hope he's there."
"You mean Krad?" Daisuke asked.
"Ugh," Misaki said as he pulled a face.
Dark glared at him. "What? Do you have a problem with Krad? Or is there something else bothering you?"
"No, no, there's nothing wrong. Krad's one of my best friends it's just, he's been baking so much lately. Satoshi's given Usagi-san and me more cookies and muffins than we could possibly eat and apparently there's still more."
"Baking? I can't even imagine Krad stepping into the kitchen," Daisuke said. "It seems a bit too domestic for him."
Dark couldn't wipe the grin off his face. Oh yes. He knew that Krad was good with his hands but the idea of cooking had never occurred to him. Of course Krad was baking. And everything he made would be a piece of fucking artwork.
"Can… can I try some?" Dark asked. "Please?"
"By all means. Usagi-san and I can't eat all of what Satoshi gave us."
The next opportunity Dark got, he would ask Krad to cook for him. His favourite gifts had always been the handmade ones from Krad and eating something that specifically been made for him… that was all he wanted at that moment.

…With Takeshi…
When Takeshi arrived back at Risa's apartment that day, she was already in the lounge. She had a large textbook open in her lap but seemed more focussed on the TV in front of her. He walked up behind her, leant down and kissed the top of her head.
"Afternoon," he said, smiling.
She looked up at him and replied, "Welcome home. How was your day?"
Takeshi walked around the couch and sat heavily next to Risa. He let out a sigh and said, "Mostly alright. My editor back in Azumano says she wants all this exclusive info on Dark and the painting he's gonna steal."
"She's been saying that since Dark's heist here was announced," Risa replied. "The only stuff that's available about the painting, and Dark, is what's already out there."
"That's what I keep telling her but she won't listen. Can't you like, get in contact with Dark and ask him why the fuck he chose this damn painting?"
Risa chuckled and kissed Takeshi's cheek. "You know I gave up on Dark years ago. Besides, I wouldn't know where to find him, even if I wanted too."
"It was worth a shot."
Takeshi leant back on the couch. He couldn't complain about Risa giving up on Dark. Her realising at the age of 17 that her obsession with Dark was pointless was the reason they eventually got together. And he was grateful for that.
"So what are you reading, anyway?" Takeshi asked, leaning over to peer at Risa's book.
"A book on fashion history," Risa replied. "I have an essay on the subject due next week."
"Well, you're totally gonna kill it."
Risa grinned and said, "Thanks."
The two fell into silence, Risa reading her book and Takeshi watching TV. He watched the reality show with some scepticism almost sighing in relief when it ended. There was a short news break and a small story on Dark's upcoming heist where Satoshi was mentioned. Takeshi pursed his lips at the blunette.
He was yet to tell Risa about the… development between Daisuke and Satoshi. He was afraid of how Risa would react to the news. Surely she would defend her sister's relationship with Daisuke and say that there no way he could have been with Satoshi. Or maybe she'd take the news well? She did care about Daisuke after all and she was certainly more open-minded than her sister.
"So, I forgot to tell you," Takeshi said. "Daisuke and I ran into Hiwatari a few days ago. Boy, were we shocked at how much he's changed."
Risa smiled. "Yeah, I think living in Tokyo has done him good. He's far easier to get along with than what he was in Middle School."
Takeshi paused for a moment before replying, "…Yeah. He wasn't very enthused to see Daisuke again, though."
"I can imagine." Risa pursed her lips. "Hopefully, those two can work out their issues, though. They would look cute together."
Takeshi froze then glared at Risa. "Alright, so how the fuck did you find out that those two dated?"
Risa faced him with a guilty smile and said, "I may have run into Satoshi-kun at the Historical Ball and forced him to tell me everything."
"You… knew? You knew and didn't say anything? Why not?"
"Well, I was pretty shocked myself when I first found out and I figured it might be best if I let Niwa-kun be the one who told you."
Takeshi let out a sigh. Well, he couldn't deny that Risa was right. In fact, he was still trying to fully comprehend the whole 'my best friend is bisexual' thing. Not that he had a thing against homosexuals. Of course not. It was just difficult to wrap his head around the whole thing.
"How do you think this whole thing will turn out?" Takeshi asked. "Do you think those two idiots will get back together or whatever?"
"Hmm, I think that's up to them," Risa replied, closing her book. "I wouldn't mind seeing them finally get together but at the very least I'd be happy if they just sorted out all their issues."
"Yeah, then I wouldn't have to put up with Daisuke's constant bitching and worrying on the whole matter. How do you think Riku-chan will take the whole thing?"
Risa let out a sigh. "She won't be happy but if Niwa-kun is meant to be with Satoshi-kun, then there's nothing she can do. I can help her deal with it all if the time comes, though."
Takeshi smiled, wrapped an arm around Risa's shoulders and pulled her close. "I love you."
Risa rested her head on Takeshi's shoulder. "I love you too."

…With Satoshi…
As Satoshi pulled up to the university and got out of the car, he noticed a few students point and whisper at him. It wasn't totally unusual for him to get looks from people on the street but he suspected this time the looks were because of his fight with Daisuke from last week.
He'd been thinking about that fight constantly since his talk with Misaki. For the past four years, all he'd been doing was blaming Daisuke and wondering what he could've done to change what happened. He… had never really considered the idea that he was just as much to blame. Since that talk with Misaki, though, all he could think about was how things could've been different if he had been more forgiving or thought more rationally on the subject. Instead, he'd gone with his gut instinct of betrayal and moved to Tokyo at the first opportunity.
And now he was faced with the problem of actually talking to Daisuke. From their argument, it seemed that he was willing to talk but as much as Satoshi wanted to forgive and forget, it was hard to move past four years of hatred. Talking was definitely the first step, but how could he face Daisuke? How could he work up the courage to move past what happened?
Satoshi sighed and checked his phone. He saw a message from Sayuri and opened it.
At work so you don't need to worry about picking me up. Meeting up with a friend afterwards so I'll be home late.
Satoshi let out a huff. Since he was already here, he might as well pick up Misaki. The next time he saw Sayuri, though, he would definitely need to talk to her. She hadn't been home much lately and he knew for a fact that her work wasn't that demanding. It was possible that she had run into Daisuke before he did and reacted negatively. Was that the only reason she was avoiding coming home, though? No, there had to be another reason.
"Satoshi!"
Satoshi looked up and saw Misaki walking towards. Next to him was Daisuke and… Dark? He smirked. He waited until the trio were closer before greeting Misaki. "How are you, Misaki?"
"I'm fine," Misaki replied. "Sayuri went ahead to work already."
"Yeah, she messaged me." Satoshi turned to Daisuke and inclined his head slightly. Daisuke did the same. "Niwa. I was… hoping to arrange a time for us to meet so we can discuss some things."
"That would be nice. When did you have in mind?" Daisuke said.
Satoshi thought ahead to the next few weeks and frowned. He pulled out his phone to double check his calendar before sighing and putting it away. He pulled out a business card and handed it to Daisuke, saying, "Thanks to a certain upcoming heist," he glared at Dark at this point, "I'm busy for the next week or so. Call me some time after Christmas and we can organise something."
Daisuke took the card and nodded.
"Well, I'm quite looking forward to this heist," Dark said, a smirk on his face.
"We'll catch the thief," Satoshi said, crossing his arms. "It won't be as easy for him as it was in Azumano."
Dark winked. "Good luck."
Satoshi just rolled his eyes and walked around the driver's side of his car. "Let's go, Misaki."
Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Welp, that's this chapter done. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I'm not sure about the reactions, specifically about the last scene. It's Satoshi's first time seeing Dark in four years, and after he's calmed down a bit so I think he'd be pretty chill.
I think it's kind of hard to be confident in the characters that I'm writing when it's been such a long time since I've watched or read the source material. It's made a bit easier since my version of the characters are definitely different from what's 'canon' (best example is, of course, Krad). I think I'm most unsure about is Dark. He's totally ready to devote himself to Krad (after 300 fucking years) but he can't get rid of his flirtatious personality completely. And I'm sure you can imagine how Krad's gonna react to that.
Still, I finally have the whole thing planned out (it's lookin' to be 16 chapters) and I think Dark and Krad are gonna be the easiest to get together. They have a deeper connection than what Satoshi and Daisuke do. Because, even though Krad hates how much Dark has fucked around with him, he's still desperately in love with him.
Anyway, I'm not sure how long the next chapter is gonna take to write and get up. The heist will be in the next chapter (finally). I'll try and get it up in maybe a few months but… no promises.
For the moment,
Ja Bye Bye Ne
-.-
