At long last! After writer's block, complications over Wi-Fi, and college work, we have reached the third and final part of Mortal Kartoons. For those of you following, you've probably noticed that the story progressed from commentaries to one segment of the storyline, an so on. Well, for the final stretch of the FanFic, I'm going to immediately jump to part 3 of the storyline and then conclude it with commentary (somewhere along the lines of "afterthoughts," for lack of better description). Also, like in most of the other chapters, you're bound to see major changes in plot/dialogue in part 3, but the changes I'm going to write for it will be very different. Oh, for the record: Chances are that I'm not going to write a Cartoon X-Over parody to Mortal Kombat X, but I don't wish to get into detail on why that is. But for now, let's kick off part 3 starting with everyone's favorite 10-year-old cartoon character portraying another memorable/favorited Mortal Kombat character, along with three well-known Disney characters: one making his first appearance, and two coming back "from the dead."
Mortal Kombat III
CHAPTER 11: TIMMY TURNER
Timmy Turner and Omi were in the Tower searching for Kimiko Tohomiko. Despite the fact that it was a serious matter, the hat-wearing Shaolin couldn't help but comment on his friend's "relationship" with the princess.
Timmy smirked at his friend. "I hope your girlfriend is worth Samurai Jack's anger, Omi."
The bald Shaolin just stared at the smirking hat-wielder, with a ridge above his eyes. "Notice that I am ignoring you."
As the two looked around the Tower, Timmy crossed his arms pensively. "Hmm. . . . They must have relocated Kimiko."
Suddenly, the doors to the Tower opened. As the two Shaolin whipped their heads around to see, they stared at the always-angry-looking female Shokan, Ms. Rubella Mucus.
"What're you Earthrealm bottom-feeders doin' here?" glared the pig-faced Shokan.
"Bottom-feeders?" asked Timmy with an appalled stink-eye. "Okay, that was just plain rude."
At the opposite end of the room, the other doors opened. Whipping their heads around again, the two Shaolin were blocked by another figure, specifically a Rooster. The character was clad in black, his skin (or feathers) were black, his eyes were white and dead-looking, and he had a metal beak.
The dark figure smirked at them before speaking in a nasal-sounding voice. "We have indeed."
". . . You have indeed what?" asked Timmy.
The black-clad Rooster frowned, his face blank. "We have indeed relocated Kimiko. . . . You made a comment about it earlier."
The two friends stared back in blank unison. ". . . Oh."
It was then that Flash made another cameo beneath the screen. "HA. . . . HA. . . . HA."
As everyone looked confusedly at Flash before he disappeared again, Timmy could only utter one word about the development. "Awkward."
"Uhh . . . what were we doin' again?" asked Ms. Mucus dumbfounded.
"You two were walking toward us and blocking our paths?" guessed Omi.
"Then in my comment about the princess' relocation from earlier," said Timmy as he tried recollecting his thoughts while speaking to the new arrival, "you said that you did relocate her."
"Oh," said the black-clad Rooster, "I remember now. All right, let me restart from when I came in, okay?"
After regaining their thoughts and going through the process of staring at Ms. Mucus coming for them again, Timmy and Omi whipped their heads around (for the second time) to the opposite end of the room, with the black-clad Rooster coming toward them.
The dark figure smirked at the Shaolin (again). "We have indeed. We knew someone would come for her."
Looking at the two oncoming enemies and then each other again, Timmy and Omi firmly nodded once as the bald Shaolin went to combat Ms. Mucus, while the buck-toothed Shaolin went face-to-face with the dark character.
As he stood in a fighting stance, Timmy couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "You wouldn't happen to be Steelbeak, would you? Because I thought he was dead."
"I am," answered Steelbeak, "but Freakshow saw my potential even after death, kid."
Timmy scowled. "Well you're not going to stop me or Omi from rescuing Kimiko."
"Not gonna happen. May you join her in death!"
Steelbeak launched a Ghost Ball, hitting Timmy. The Ghost Ball made the buck-toothed Shaolin unable to move, giving the wraith the opportunity to strike by performing his Black Hole move, followed by three extra punches before performing his Shadow Charge move, using his living shadow to tackle Timmy.
But as the side effects from the Ghost Ball wore off completely, Timmy was able to strike back with his Teleport Move, followed by several punches. The young Shaolin followed it up with his Spin attack and his Dive Kick.
Steelbeak, however, remained undeterred as he performed his Teleport Smash move on the Shaolin boy. Then the wraith's shadow grabbed the buck-toothed Shaolin, pulled him underground, and the sound of pummeling could be heard while Steelbeak laughed evilly.
As Timmy reappeared aboveground, he gritted his teeth meaning business before taking his hat (the razor rim retracted back in) and threw it at his opponent about three times in a row. Timmy then grabbed Steelbeak, put him in a Whirlwind Spin, and slammed him to the ground. After throwing a few more punches, the young Shaolin then performed a massive Spin move; connecting with the black-clad wraith, Timmy then gave a hard chop to Steelbeak's neck and, as the wraith tried to recover, the hat-wielding Shaolin struck him in the back of the neck with another chop before knocking him out and ending the fight.
Timmy looked down at his defeated enemy in contempt. "Be glad I did not choose to spill your tainted blood."
As he stared at his groaning enemy, the young Shaolin cocked his head to one side in thought. "Huh, you really are Steelbeak. You know, ignoring your namesake."
Timmy then looked back at his friend Omi, still parrying hits from Ms. Mucus and vice-versa.
"Do you need help?" smirked the buck-toothed Shaolin. "Four arms against two is hardly a fair fight."
"Turner!" roared a voice from off-screen. Whipping his head around, Timmy found himself face-to-face with Francis, the latter roaring again like a crazed WWE wrestler.
With a scowl, Timmy pointed at the male Shokan. "You have had your match against Omi. Now you will face me!"
As they both squatted into a fighting stance, Timmy grabbed his hat and tossed it at Francis, hitting him. As the Shokan went off balance, it opened an opportunity for the young Shaolin to throw a few punches before taking his hat again and smacking the former.
However, that wasn't enough to defeat Francis, for he retaliated with a stomp, followed by three hits from his arm spin.
After jumping out of the way of another one of the Shokan's spin attacks, the buck-toothed hat-wielder retaliated with his own Spin move, along with performing his Teleport move twice with a throw and several punches respectively. The fight finally ended when Timmy incapacitated Francis with the same finishing move he executed on Steelbeak from earlier.
"Now," stated Timmy, looking down at his nemesis, "if you have any honor left . . ."
After ending the fight against Ms. Mucus from off-screen, Omi joined his friend.
The two Shaolin took on fighting stances at the fallen Francis before Timmy finish his sentence. ". . . You will tell us where Kimiko is!"
Francis looked up at his foes with contempt. "She has been taken to the Coliseum, where she has no doubt been executed."
"You lie!" exclaimed a heated Omi, before punching the Shokan in the face and knocking him out.
Timmy as well disagreed. "She may yet live. Let us go."
And with that, the two Shaolin left the Tower and headed for Aku's Coliseum.
Down in the Coliseum, Ron had just been defeated by Shere Khan, as the former made the mistake of a karate kick, only for the latter to grab the cocky actor's leg, strike his knee, and punch him in the face and leave him sprawled on the ground.
"Shere Khan wins!" exclaimed Walter Wolf from off-screen.
Timmy and Omi had just arrived at the Coliseum.
"There's Kimiko!" exclaimed Omi as he and his hat-wearing friend saw the aforementioned princess (now wearing a slightly different uniform and no veil), fettered in chains. "I must free her!"
As the bald Shaolin made a beeline toward her, Timmy and Samurai Jack followed him.
"Not now!" firmly exclaimed the Thunder God. Danny Fenton and Ron Stoppable have been defeated, and I no longer sense Boog's or Kim Possible's presence in Outworld. Despite my doubts as to whether you are Earthrealm's savior, you must fight!"
Omi then looked at Samurai Jack, reminding the former, "But I am not He Who Must Win."
Stepping into the circle of Aku's allies (including Shego and Motaro), Omi came face-to-face with the aforementioned warlord.
"Samurai Jack!" called Aku. "Put forth a worthy champion . . . if you can."
Wanting to stifle the warlord's taunting, Timmy was about to step forth, but hesitated.
As he and the Shaolin looked at each other, Samurai Jack came to one conclusion. ". . . Perhaps you are meant to be the victor."
Timmy couldn't help but smile, seeing his chance to prove himself. Putting his game-face on, the buck-toothed Shaolin stepped forward into the ring.
As the Shaolin stood ready, Aku nodded once. "You will face . . . Walter Wolf."
At that, the greedy rejuvenated sorcerer snickered.
The warlord then smirked evilly. "And Freakshow."
The two evil sorcerers smirked shrewdly at one another before stepping into the ring.
In the background, Samurai Jack couldn't help but look worried.
After Timmy squared up against the two sorcerers, Freakshow looked on in contempt. "No Earthrealm boy can stop this Deadly Alliance."
Walter nodded. "On this we agree."
After a series of blocks and attempted attacks, Timmy was able to defeat Walter with a throw down. The young Shaolin then defeated Freakshow with the same finishing move he applied on Steelbeak and Francis.
"It is done!" exclaimed Timmy.
After he and Freakshow picked themselves up, retreated Walter gave a dirty look to the young Shaolin. "No, Timmy Turner. Not nearly so."
The gates to the other side of the Coliseum opened up, and out of the darkness lumbered forth another Shokan—only difference was that he was feline-like with Tiger-like stripes and color patterns. The Shokan, named Pete, roared at his enemy.
Timmy just gritted his teeth and glared in determination.
As Pete faced the Shaolin, he bared his teeth. "I will eat your heart!"
After dodging Pete's jump attacks and fire breath, the ever-determined Timmy Turner smacked the Tigrar Shokan with his hat, punched him, kicked him, and ended the fight the same way he defeated Walter.
As he looked down, Timmy just smirked at his defeated opponent before laughing confidently.
The young Shaolin then took in the applause of a score of Outworld audience members before taking his hat off and bowing at the waist in grand style. Timmy then looked to the Thunder God. "You see, Samurai Jack? Earthrealm is free."
As he was freeing Kimiko, Omi looked over and exclaimed, "Timmy! Look out!"
Turning around was all Timmy could do as Aku came at him with his war hammer.
SMACK!
The young Shaolin was sent flying into the wall of the Coliseum, and laid on the ground limp.
"Timmy!" exclaimed a horrified Samurai Jack.
"NOOO!" shouted Omi in despair.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!" shouted the audience, with Aku wearing a broad evil grin as he took in the chanting.
The Thunder God summoned a giant ball of lightning in his hand in anger. "I will destroy you once and for all!"
When Aku paid no attention, Omi charged at him from behind and tackled him to the ground. Samurai Jack then defused his lightning, seeing what was about to happen.
The warlord shoved the bald Shaolin off of him, laughing evilly like it was nothing.
After Omi got back up, Aku looked at him in arrogant contempt. "Witless boy. Do you know who I am?"
"The murderer of my friend!" exclaimed the Shaolin as he breathed in and out with rage.
"I am Aku! Konqueror of Worlds! You will taste no victory."
A vain throbbed on Omi's forehead as he summoned his fire powers. "You will taste your own blood!" And with that, the bald Shaolin attacked the warlord, using his fire-based moves before finishing him off with a punch to his bottom jaw, followed by a kick to the same spot.
"On your feet!" hissed Omi in anger.
As Samurai Jack watched the angered Shaolin approach Aku, the latter slowly picking himself back up in pain, the Thunder God looked concerned.
Omi then turned either fist fiery. "For Timmy Turner, the Shaolin, and Earthrealm!"
(ENTER SLOW MOTION)
Omi then used his fiery fist and punched Aku square in the chest. His fist then went all the way through the shadow demon warlord.
Aku's face twisted into wide-eyed agony as Omi scowled back with bared teeth.
(EXIT SLOW MOTION)
As Omi pulled his fist back out, a gasping Aku fell to his knees first, slowly closed his eyes, and fell forward, limp on the ground.
Amongst the aghast Outworld allies, Walter was the most surprised. "I cannot believe . . . Earthrealm has won."
A golden aura surrounded Omi for a brief moment before dissipating.
Samurai Jack just looked up at the golden aura. "The Elder Gods have spoken. Earthrealm is free of Aku forever."
With a motion of his head, a scowling Walter ordered two Tarkatan to retrieve Aku's body and dragged it away. As she reunited with the crestfallen Omi, Kimiko frowned in sorrow for him on the loss of his friend.
The bald Shaolin, the princess, and the Thunder God walked over to Timmy's body.
Samurai Jack sounded sorrowful. "But the price of victory was almost too steep to pay. . . . Timmy Turner's death was my fault. I encouraged him. Our triumph was not meant to be achieved that way. . . ." He then looked at Omi. "I see now. 'He must win' refers to you. But to prevent Armageddon, you needed to defeat Aku, not Walter Wolf."
Samurai Jack then looked at his amulet, only for it to be in vain as the damage to it increased, much to his disbelief. "It cannot be! Aku is dead! Yet the future remains unchanged!"
Omi looked up in concern as the Thunder God was left confused.
In Aku's Throne Room, Francis, Dag, Vicky, Ms. Mucus, Motaro, Hannibal Roy Bean, Walter, and the brainwashed Raimundo Pedrosa and Shere Khan stood in a circle, arguing over who would control the throne.
Francis was the first to speak. "Aku is finished."
Dag scowled at Walter. "Vicky is his heir. She should rule."
"Vicky?" sneered the greedy rejuvenated sorcerer, his arms across his chest. "She exists only because of my sorcery."
"And you breathe because I restrain mine!" exclaimed Aku's voice from behind the sorcerer.
Turning around, Walter gasped at the sight of Freakshow and Aku (his injury patched up).
"Emperor!" gasped Ms. Mucus.
"You live!" exclaimed Francis in surprise.
Everyone except Walter dropped to one knee and bowed.
Still wincing from the pain of his injury, Aku explained. "I am not so easily killed. Freakshow accelerated my recovery."
"Emperor, I—" started Walter.
Aku just grunted curtly. "Not. One. Word. Because of you, Outworld can no longer merge with Earthrealm!"
Freakshow had a sly tinge in his voice. "There might yet be another alternative, Emperor. Invasion."
Walter, with bugged-out eyes, stammered. "I-Invasion!?"
Aku raised his hand to silence the rejuvenated sorcerer. He then scowled at the necromancer. "Do you mock me? Jasmine's Ward prevents me from setting foot in Earthrealm."
Freakshow just pressed his fingertips against one another shrewdly. "Have you considered why your wife and Empress chose to betray you in this particular fashion?"
"Of course. But even after millennia, her motives are a mystery."
As he followed Aku to his throne, Freakshow explained further. "She had realized the safeguards afforded by the Elder Gods through Mortal Kombat are but fiction. She sacrificed herself to give protection the Elder Gods could not. So Earthrealm could not suffer as had Edenia."
"Indeed."
"I have mastered the spells necessary for her resurrection. Her ward will be nullified. And with it, the barrier which prevents your entry into Earthrealm. I will return her to you, of course. You will find her much more . . . cooperative."
"This is a very magnanimous offer."
"I wish only to serve, Emperor."
"I am weary of sorcerers, Freakshow. Prove your worth. Bring her to me."
Out in the desert, with Steelbeak by his side, Freakshow cast a spell on the patch of sand where Jasmine, Kimiko's mother, was buried long ago.
Blasting herself from the ground, the resurrected (and brainwashed) Queen Jasmine appeared before the necromancer and wraith.
Steelbeak stood ready to fight in case his master wasn't able to have properly brainwashed her.
However, Freakshow coolly walked up to the former Edenian queen. "Jasmine."
"Freakshow?" asked Jasmine in disbelief.
"Aku looks forward to your return."
"The Emperor! . . . Yesss. . . . What of Kimiko?"
Freakshow raised his hand to silently calm down Steelbeak, the latter now relaxing. "Kimiko now allies herself with Earthrealm."
Brainwashed from the black magic used on her, Jasmine came to one conclusion. ". . . Then she is no longer my daughter. Take me to Aku."
"Yes, Empress."
As Steelbeak joined his side again, Freakshow spoke aside to him. "The invasion of Earthrealm can now begin."
Hmm, the plot has truly thickened. However, as I've stated in the summary of the FanFic, to conclude for now, part 3 will continue on with a number of changes non-canon to the original Mortal Kombat 2011 storyline. Until then, stay tuned. . . .
(P.S.: I forgot to mention that, since I'm keeping the story on a K+ rating, when Jasmine made her first official appearance, she had clothes on. Just thought I might add that part in case there was any concern.)
