A/N: Sorry, it's been awhile. Life has caught up. No excuses, but this was actually going to be the next chapter, but I ran into a block with the other one. It was going to have Ray Palmer. I just couldn't get the words to come. So here's my take on this situation. I don't want to give it away yet, but I hope you like it. And then I'm guessing we all saw THE promo right...Stephen and Emily have chemistry for days. They're so hot.

Thank you for all the follows/favorites/reviews. They mean a lot. And please remember I'm not a comic book expert.

Chapter 14

Felicity was ready to scream at Tommy. He was still playing that stupid game while ignoring his homework. And that was unacceptable for her children. "Thomas Queen, put that game down and finish your homework or I'm going to make your father help you with it!"

"Mooooommmmm," Tommy whined as he turned back toward the table and picked up his pencil. The threat worked because Oliver would read the entire math book's directions to make sure they both understood how to do it, which meant homework took at least thirty more minutes than usual.

Just then the man in question entered the living room with his daughter sitting on top of his shoulders, "I heard my name and came running in with the princess!" Oliver shifted from foot to foot in order to bounce their youngest daughter, Meghan, around. She and her daddy were slaying dragons, only Meghan had rescued her daddy from the dragons as usual.

It was an unusual night off from the foundry, but with three children Felicity and Oliver liked to take a night or two off every now and then. They just enjoyed the time to be a family. It was something so foreign to Oliver to spend a night being a father when his father had never done that. It was even something his mother had found hard to make time.

Felicity grabbed the toddler down from her father's shoulders with his help. "And how did Princess Meghan do fighting those mean and nasty dragons?"

"I'd destrowed dem all, Mama and saveded Daddy!" Meghan triumphantly told her mommy. Felicity leaned down to place a gentle kiss on her daughter. She was then drawn into her husband's embrace as she rose back up, "Daddy should really be better about being trapped by dragons." She laughed as he growled into the kiss he placed on her neck and she squealed a bit.

"Mom, Dad, your display of affection in public makes me want to vomit," Tommy piped up from the table and his statement evoked a massive belly laugh from his parents.

"Tommy, it's hard for me to keep my hands off your beautiful, intelligent and insanely sexy mother," Felicity tried to brush him away as he planted more kisses along her neck and face, but it was all in vain, "You'll understand one day, Tommy. If you're anything like him, you'll understand so much, we'll probably have to lock you in your room."

"Oliver, don't encourage him. We're certainly not ready for that, don't wish his teenage years any early than they're coming," Felicity scolded her husband. She pushed up on her toes to claim his lips when they were interrupted by a ring at the door bell.

"I'll get it," Oliver said as he made his way through the house. He was unsure who had made it past security and who would actually ring the doorbell. It couldn't be Digg, he would just walk in and that's why neither Felicity nor his children were going to answer the door.

As he pulled the door open, his senses were heightened and he was an alert prepared for an attack. He was met with a tall boy who couldn't be older than 20 or 21 years old. He had on dark-washed jeans and a dark blue shirt. He stood about 6'2" and looked uncomfortable to be there. "Can I help you? How did you get past security?"

"Um, yea, I just sort of sneaked past security. I'm sorry. I didn't really know how to do this," the boy said. He stopped, still unsure on how to proceed. Oliver just stood there, awkwardly holding the door while still leaving the unknown boy outside of the house. They stood like that for another couple of minutes before either of them said something. "I'm still not really sure how to say this, but my name is Connor and I'm your son."

Oliver's face hit the side of the door as his hand slid down the door frame. The noise alerted Felicity who had already been making her way from the living room due to Oliver's elongated absence. She had ushered Tommy and Meghan upstairs toward their nanny, unsure of what was happening. She ran to Oliver, checking his head for any sign of injury. When she was satisfied that Oliver was okay, much to his stone faced silent expression, she looked up to find the boy still at the door. "Oliver...?" she trailed off.

When she didn't received an answer from him, she turned to the boy, "I'm sorry, I'm Felicity Queen and since my husband seems incapable of giving me any information, who are you?"

"Mrs. Queen, my name is Connor and I'm Oliver Queen's son," he stood there again, hoping for a different reaction from Felicity.

"Oooooookaay, well, Connor, how about you come in while I usher Oliver into the family room. Follow me. Wow. This is not what I expected, or really, what either of us expected. Obviously, and I'm sure you are absolutely freaking out and I'm positive we can get Oliver to say something, or rather anything than the muteness he has going on right now." She finally took a breath as they made it to the couch. "Oliver, hey," she pulled his face to hers so their eyes met, urging him to speak or growl. She would take anything at this point instead of comatose.

His head fell into her touch and he closed his eyes. He still was silent as Felicity turned her attention to the young man. "Connor, how did you find Oliver?" She pulled one of Oliver's hands into her own, providing comfort.

The young boy swallowed, loudly, before trying to piece together sentences that made sense. "My mother just recently told me about my father," he looked up at Oliver, who in turn had no response, "but when she finally did, I looked up information on the internet. It's actually not hard to find information on Oliver Queen."

Felicity's mouth turned up into a slight smile, "Unfortunately, you're right as much as I try to hide it." Oops, she'd probably given away too much as the boy gave her an odd look. "I'm sorry. And I don't want to seem rude, but how are you sure that Oliver is your father?"

The boy twisted his hands into a combined knot, "I don't wish to speak bad about anyone, but my mother kept a copy of the check Mrs. Queen, that his Oliver's mother, paid my mother for her to go away."

Felicity's mouth turned into a circle, although not completely shocked about what he had just told her. "I see. Well, I do hope you don't mind us wanting to do a paternity test as well. Maybe if I pull a hair out of Oliver's head right now he'll speak to us," Felicity threatened.

"My mother wrote a check? How much?" Oliver finally found words and Felicity increased the strength on his hand that she held in hers.

Connor pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and unfolded it, "My mother gave me this copy. I'm not sure why." He handed it to Oliver who took it and inspected it closely. It was only a copy, but he didn't doubt the authenticity. His mother's signature was there. "Your mother told me she had a miscarriage. That we lost the baby." He found the boy's eyes, very much similar to his owns and Felicity was right, they would do a paternity test just to validate it. "I was devastated when she told me. I wasn't ready to be a father then, but I would have loved you all the same."

Felicity had to hold back the tears that began to brim in her eyes. She felt how real those words meant to him. Sure, she was shocked that he had another son, but he was an amazing father. He deserved to know this son since his birth. Not almost 20 years later. She would be there for him right now and everyday.

"I always imagined who my father was and why he didn't want me. I thought it was something I had done wrong," Connor continued. "Right now I'm in college at Starling University studying business. I also play baseball there. And I thought I would take the chance that you would want to meet me." He looked a little sheepish as he said the last part, but he meant it. He had no idea if he would be rejected at the door or called crazy. Thankfully, Felicity had welcomed him into their home.

"This probably sounds forward," Felicity interrupted, "but can I take a swab of your saliva and I'll get the test done pretty quickly?" She was now certain the boy thought her crazy, but it was best that she run the test and no one else so it didn't leak out to anyone. "I can do the test with some equipment I have." She smiled trying to gain his trust, not realizing she already had it.

Connor agreed and Felicity went about getting the samples from both men. Oliver still seemed to be lost, but she would help him find his way later. "Connor, if this test comes back they way we all know it will, I want you to know you have a half brother and two half sister who I'm sure would be ecstatic to meet you. And I think Oliver and I would like to have you over again, if that's alright with you?"

They exchanged phone numbers and Felicity told Connor they would in touch in a day or two as she and Oliver showed him to the door and alerted security that he would be leaving. As they turned back into the foyer, Felicity had already tucked away the swabs and immediately dragged her husband up the hallway. They visited each child's room as they wished them goodnight and shared kisses and hugs before finally making it to their room. "Oliver?"

He changed without saying a word and she followed as they eventually made it under the covers. She again called his name before he finally replied. "How could I not know? And why would she do that?"

She knew who he was talking about and really she had one idea as to why Moira did it. She was protecting him. He was most likely dating Laurel at the time and she was also protecting the Queen family. "Your mother was protecting you," Felicity began and Oliver attempted to interrupted, but she didn't let him, "You would do anything to protect Lily, Tommy and Meghan, and while I know we both don't agree with her methods, you know those were her motives no matter how ill conceived they were. But isn't it more important that you now know about it rather than not ever knowing? He looks exactly like you."

Oliver ran his hand through his hair, exhausted mentally. He pulled Felicity into his embrace and they cuddled down under the covers. "Why are you still here? I screw up all the time and now I have this love child and I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to run away right now. I've put you through enough."

She ran her fingers over his sculpted chest, "Oliver Jonas Queen, nothing you do would run me away. I love you through your faults and your mistakes and through successes and triumphs. I love you enough that I hate to be parted from you. You're an idiot if you believe me to scare easily. And you're love child seems like a very well put together young man so I probably wouldn't call him a love child." She laughed.

"But sometimes I know my past continues to haunt us. I feel like I can't ever get away from it no matter how hard I work," Oliver pulled her closer if it was even possible while dropping a kiss to her blonde hair.

"Oliver, if it wasn't for your past I honestly don't know who you would be today. And in some sick and twisted way I thank that island for bringing this man into the world. Believe me, I wish you hadn't had to live five years on that island, but without it I don't think we would have met. So in one breathe it's a blessing and the other it's a curse. It's like an enigma that I can't figure it out. I've never punished you for the Ollie you were before the island. I don't think you should. You made a mistake," he raised his eye brow, "Ok, you made a lot of mistakes, but you also created a pretty incredible son. I googled him while you were in the bathroom. He's at Starling U on a full scholarship because of his academics and athletics. He's seems to be very intelligent and talented."

"But I didn't have any part in who he became. I was robbed of that opportunity. I could have been a good father to him, at least with time." He was angry at his mother for sure and even at Connor's mother. She shouldn't have taken the money.

"You are a good father. Lily, Tommy and Meghan want for nothing. They have your love. Give Connor that. Trust me, as a child who grew up without a father, all you really have to do is be there from now on. I would give anything to have a father like you support me and I know you can give Connor that. We should look up his baseball schedule and make a family trip out of it."

"I would really like that, but let's start with a full family meeting first. How are we going to explain this to the kids?" They have a brother they never knew about, how would they react? How would Meghan understand any of this?

"I think you underestimate them. Kids tend to be resilient when it comes to things like this. And I think we should tell them mostly the truth - you have a son that you didn't know about, but that he's part of our family. That's if he's okay with that. We really should talk to him before we say anything to the kids."

He scooted down so they were at eye level and captured her lips with his, pouring his emotions into the desperate kiss. He pulled away reluctantly, "I don't deserve you." He moved in to resume the kissing but she stopped him.

"Yes you do. I love you, now accept the fact that I'm still here, lying in your arms, the safest place and my favorite spot. Or else I'll punch you!" She laughed as she said the last sentence. It wasn't a very good threat but she couldn't think of anything else.

"That actually sounds like foreplay, Mrs. Queen," Oliver nuzzled her neck as he began to travel down her body.
