Author's Note: My dearest readers. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. A special note though, before continuing with chapter 14, is to know that I have edited this story from chapter 1 - 13. Mostly, I've been correcting the grammar and spelling errors that were present. Not only that, but I made a change and extended one of the chapters into two.
Again, thank you all and I look forward to reading your reviews.
Happy Reading!
Chapter 14: Madam Miller
Outside of the city, there sits a Gypsy wagon. A horse grazes in the field, while inside the wagon the sound of rustling, and pots and pans banging against each other.
"Ah-ha...! I found it!" A voice of an elderly woman cheered. In the small kitchen, barely any room to swing her widely shaped rear end around, the elderly woman lifted up a small glass jar. "My potion will not be complete without cinnamon."
From the top of her head, to the bottom of her toes, the woman wears a traditional orange, red, and yellow long full pleated skirt, with loose-fitting blouse, covered with a short vest. A long matching apron is tied around her wide hips, and a diklo headscarf is wrapped around her forehead.
"Now let's see," she ponders, reading from a recipe book. "Two cups of peeled garlic cloves, three tablespoons Frankincense, dash of cinnamon, and one teaspoon of sandalwood." As she listed the ingredients, the woman added them into a medium size caldron.
She picks up a wooden spoon and stirs the contents. "Mix it all up and we have the perfect vampire repellent to protect my young slayers."
As if on cue, the door opens and the young chipmunks enter with a fearful look on their faces. The second they are inside, Theodore turns, slam the door shut, and locks it.
"Um, come in...?" The woman spoke in a puzzled tone.
"I'm sorry, Madam Miller, our first excursion to hunt a Vampire was unsuccessful. We found one, but he got away. In fact, he proved we weren't ready by capturing Theodore." Eleanor admitted sorrowfully.
"But he let me go, which I though was very nice of him to do so." Theodore chirped.
"Get one thing straight, Theodore dear. Vampire's are not nice, not for any reason." Madam Miller warned. "This Vampire must have some sort of motive planned… Now where did I put my reading glasses...?" She trails off. The old woman starts shuffling some papers, and picking up cups, and other loose objects in attempts to find her missing specks.
"Um, you have them sitting on top of your head." Eleanor sheepishly points out.
"Huh," Madam Miller turns to look at the small blond Chipette before lifting her hand up to tap the top of her head. "Oh, so they are." Madam Miller laughs at her absent behavior. She pulls her glasses down over her face and sits them comfortably on her nose.
Once her vision is near perfect, she reaches over onto her bookshelf to pull a certain book from it. Madam Millar reads the title to confirm she has picked up the right one. It read, 'Guides to The Vampire Clans: Their Strengths and Weaknesses'. "Now, tell me... What type of Vampire was he?"
"Um, we're not sure. He just dressed like a normal person, oh and he also wore glasses, which is pretty rare, I thought." Theodore hummed.
"He sounds like a rogue. Were there other Vampires wondering the streets...?" The Gypsy woman pondered as she turned the pages of the book.
"I'm sorry Madam Miller, we only spotted the one...but he did look like he was searching for someone, or something." Eleanor says after a quick thought.
"Interesting," Madam Miller muses as she continues to search through the pages of the book. "It doesn't sound like he would be too much trouble; however, I've learned from experience that you never underestimate any type of Vampire, especially ones from Cults or Clans."
"I'm sure that is a lesson that our parents learned the hard way, I bet." Eleanor murmured bitterly.
"Ellie..." Theodore spits in surprise.
Madam Miller looks up from the book at the two young chipmunk orphans. She slides her glasses off her face and frowns in sympathy for them. "Your parents and I were a team. They knew the risks. A female Vampire got lucky and managed to kill them before they were able to strike her and the Cult that followers her."
"Forgive me Madam Miller. I didn't mean any disrespect." Eleanor bows he head as she mentally punished her for saying rude things about her deceased parents.
"My dear child, you are tired. You and your brother must get some rest now. I will wake you up in five hours for training. I have some Vampire repellent that should help you in your next encounter with this Vampire rogue." The woman assures them.
"Yes, Ma'am," both young chipmunks echoed with a bow. They turned and went straight for their cots.

The following evening, the Vamp-munks left their rented suite to hunt in a pack for the first time in a long time. The threat of having Vampire hunters after them kept them on edge. It adds to the fact that the Cult is also tracking them down as well. Knowing this, Simon and his family knows that they will have to leave town soon, after they get one last meal.
By luck, they find two young men coming out of a pub. By the smell of their blood, they are not drunk, only a few pints of beer that went with their meal - their soon to be last meal.
"We girls will lure them in; you boys get ready for the kill." Brittany purrs.
In a flash, the Chipettes disappeared around the corner. Alvin and Simon nodded to each other before walking down a dark alley. Crouching down in the dark corners, out of sight, they waited.
After a few minutes, the boys could hear the Chipettes giggling along with the two young men they spotted. Their targets had not yet come around the corner when Simon froze, sensing a familiar presence. "Oh no," he muttered.
The bespectacled chipmunk moved from his crouched position in time before a sharp blade of a sword could skewer him through the heart. He tucked and rolled before turning to his attacker with a fighting stance.
"I must admit you are a fast little bugger." Jeff chinned. The blond Vampire slowly moved to face Simon and Alvin; his sword glistened in the moonlight.
"Shit," Alvin hissed.
"Keep your head, Alvin." Simon warned.
"Is that a joke? You joke now?" The young vampire yelled.
"Move," Simon barked as he threw himself at Alvin - knocking him out of the way from another attack by the Asian vampire, Mark. "Damn, missed." He sighed as he recovered before losing his balance.
"I'm impressed you caught up to us sooner then I anticipated." Simon admitted.
"Well, we admit we thought you would have been harder to track, considering your record of eluding your own Master for so long." Tom, the tall chipmunk Vampire said, walking in from the shadows. The smaller Vampire Chipmunk, Brian, and human Vampire, Rob, followed close behind.
"Yeah, of course, the stench of losers left an easy trail to follow." Brian chuckled, looking right at Alvin as he said it. Alvin responded with an irritated growl.
"Oh my God, what the Hell is going on?" A male voice called out from the ally entrance. All the boys turned to see Brittany, Jeanette, and two mortal men staring in shock at the scene.
"That is what I was going to say?" Brittany said with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm sorry darling, didn't you get our invitation?" Renee, a redheaded Chipette purred as she somehow appeared out of nowhere, right behind the new arrivals.
"Whoa! Where did she come from?" One of the men asked.
"We all come from somewhere, sweetheart." Brenda says in a seductive voice to the man's ear, causing him to let out a startled yelp. "Awe, don't be scared," She cooed to both men.
"Yeah, we won't bit...much." Renee continued. With that said, she and Brenda both bared their fans, with a hiss and glowing yellow eyes.
The two young men gasped once they saw fangs hanging from Chipettes mouths. They let out a loud scream as they ran down the street, away from danger.
"No wait...ah nuts." Brittany groaned after her futile attempt to stop the men from escaping.
"Awe, did we interrupt your dinner?" Renee faked a guilty tone.
"We are so sorry. I bet you guys were hungry too." Brenda added, with the same fake apologetic tone. She leans up against Jeanette and playfully begins stroking her hair.
"I'm sure we can find others." Jeanette said nervously as she forces an optimistic smile.
"How brave of you," Brenda blew playfully in the brunette chipette's ear.
"Why don't you assholes leave us alone?" Alvin snapped.
"Not going to happen. Not till you are all dead." Tom growled.
"Well, deader then you are now," Brian chuckled in amusement.
OoOoOoOoOoOo
Not far away, the half moon lights up a field. Two young chipmunks scout the area with their wooden stakes, and cross bows in hand.
"E-E-Ellie...I don't like this..." Theodore stumbled to say. He coward behind his sister and he looked around the field nervously. "We are wide open, no telling what will jump out at us."
"That's the whole point, Theo." She assured him. "This way we are able to hear, and see them coming. That is what mom told us, remember?"
"Yeah, I remember, doesn't mean I like it though."
From the distance, they hear sound of someone howling in agony.
"Wait, do hear you that?" Eleanor whispered.
"Yeah, but I wish I hadn't." Theodore admitted.
"Come on, let's hurry!" The young Chipette barks. She runs off ahead towards the downtown streets where the howling is coming from.
"I was afraid she'd say that," the boy muttered before straggling behind.
Eleanor comes around the corner and stops suddenly. A sight catches her in a state of shock. Mary, the cult leader, stands ahead looking back at her in a way as if she is recalling a memory.
"Oh my God," Eleanor squeaked. "It's her."
The female Vampiress eyes start to glow bright yellow. She bares her fangs at them just as Eleanor's brother joins her around the corner. He lets out a loud gasp.
With a wide toothy grin, Mary steps towards the young chipmunk slayers. "Oh look, snacks." She coos.
