What Bliss is this Chapter 14
Jane stayed up and watched over Maura, she was surprised the Medical Examiner had been able to fall asleep but knew she would not leave it to chance that something would happen to her. Jo Friday jumped on the edge of the bed and settled in. Jane had to smile as she knew if Maura saw Jo she would not be happy. She knew the picture had been taken recently so they had been under surveillance. What made them the target when their had been plenty of people on this case. Was there others who were being watched? Was her family ok? Jane glanced at the clock and saw that several hours had passed and she sighed deeply. Maura woke slowly and felt the agitation of her lover and slowly started to stroke her chiseled abdomen trying to soother her into sleep.
"You need to sleep, love." Maura said kissing Janes chest lightly. The room smelled like a combination of Lavender and Sandalwood, a combination of the two of them. It brought a soothing to both of the women as they lay entwined in each others arms. "I can't sleep, I keep thinking that we are being watched and I can't let anything happen to you. I would die if anything happens to you, you complete me and are as essential to me as the air in my lungs and the blood in my veins." Maura sensed a tremor in the detective and decided it was time they talked. She hadn't mean to dose off but between the comfort of being in Janes arms and exhaustion she fell asleep quickly. Just as she was about to speak she heard a yip and looked at the foot of the bed to see Jo dreaming and paws twitching quickly as she chased something in her dream. She arched an eyebrow to Jane who grinned sheepishly and shrugged a shoulder. Maura smiled and kissed the detective knowing she could deny her nothing.
"Do you think I don't feel the same? Before you I was a shell of a person, I worked 18 hours a day and slept, I was Dr Isles...I have never been Maura. You" She looked Jane in the eyes "Make me Maura. Nobody has given me the time of day before but I am accepted at work because of you." She saw Jane was about to protest and put a finger on her lips " I have a family because of you, you have given me everything that makes me, me. When you went to that car and took a chance to open the door not knowing if anything would happen I lost ten years of my life. I don't want you to take unnecessary risks. I am strong yes, but not that strong. I don't know how I could continue without you and I know this is new to us but I have been in love with you since I have known you I think."
"Shhhh baby nothing is going to happen to me." Jane could see Maura had tears in her eyes and her voice was trembling.
"You don't know that, you take chances you shouldn't not just for me but because of your family. Every-time something happens to you you break your mothers heart."
"I wont take risks that are not necessary but I refuse to stand by and see the people I love hurt. I couldn't live with myself."
Jane rolled over on top of Maura and pressed her forehead against the doctors. They looked in each others eyes and Jane ran her thumb down the doctors cheek. She leaned down slightly and pressed her lips on her lovers. Their lips connected and moved against each other momentarily until Maura's tongue slid in between the detectives lips seeking entrance. Jane's hand wrapped in the doctors hair, yes she was exhausted but she needed to be close to Maura. Their tongues moved against each other breaths melding together. Jane straddled Maura's hips wearing shorts and a sports bra while Maura wore and silk nightie and panties. She started to grind against her lover wanting to feel her move underneath her and was quickly rewarded as Maura arched her back and groaned. Just hearing her drove Jane into a frenzy as she quickly increased her pace. She wrapped her hands around Maura's butt and pushed hard into her which caused Maura to whimper and mumble incoherently. Both women had sweat starting to coat their skin and Maura quickly pushed off Janes sport bra and took her nipple in her mouth taking it between her teeth and flicking her tongue back and forth. Jane shivered and her breathing increased. She jumped up and quickly discarded her shorts and removed Maura's clothes within seconds. Part of her wanted to bury herself in between her lovers legs but more than anything she wanted to feel her move together as one.
Quickly laying on top of Maura their bodies intertwined, legs and arms wrapped around each other and mouths kissing deeply, breasts rubbing against each others and clit to clit. Their breathing was harsh in the room and they tried to keep their voices low.
Maura arched up and pressed into Jane who moved her hand between them and slid a finger inside her love. Maura cried out and drove Jane into a frenzy as she plunged hard and fast seeking only to drive her lover to climax. She collapsed as Maura's spent body relaxed, she had also found release as she rode Maura's leg. Jane blushed as she realized even though they had tried to be quiet Vince had probably heard them.
"You ok?" Janes voice was hoarse.
"Very." Maura whispered in a sexy, husky voice. "Now you go to sleep." Maura started to stroke Janes forehead knowing it would send her into sleep within minutes.
