Chapter 14 – A Slut's Truth

Two weeks later Sai and Naruto met again.

"Okay Naruto here's my preliminary report from the past two weeks," Naruto nodded, " Sasuke Uchiha is a hostile subject, whilst taking council sessions and AA meetings he still refuses to return home to Konoha as long as he knows that the victim, Naruto Uzumaki, is still in the Hidden Rock village. He is currently under the wing of his brother Itachi Uchiha-"

"Itachi's here?" Naruto interrupted.

"Yes and please do not interrupt. He is under the wing of his brother Itachi Uchiha, a doctor and councillor from Konoha, from my rounds I gathered that it is Itachi who is trying to convince Sasuke to return home. It also appears that Sasuke is successfully following Itachi's other orders of attending councillor and AA meetings, Sasuke has also been sober since the night of the festival two weeks ago."

Naruto nodded.

"It is clear if we are going to get a restraining order and signed divorce papers we must use Itachi to our advantage," Sai concluded.

"Thank you Sai," Naruto replied calmly.

Later in the day Naruto met up with his band once again.

"There you are Naruto, Gaara was about to pull my hair out," Kiba laughed whereas Gaara blushed.

"Sorry guys, detective you know how it is." Naruto replied sounding tired.

"Any breakthroughs?" Neji asked.

"Possibly," Naruto replied before picking up his guitar, "Okay so I have a new song to record."

"Is it the acoustic one you've been working on?" Gaara asked

"Not exactly, guys I'd like to introduce you to someone…" He opened the door and a pink haired bitch entered the room with her head bowed down, "Guys, this is Sakura Haruno, we're gonna do a duet together."

"What?!" the rest of the band yelled.

Flashback to a week ago

"Naruto I don't understand why you had me do this," Sai said, "I am so behind on my reports now you won't get them for another week at least."

"I know Sai; I'm sorry, but thank you nonetheless," Naruto replied quietly.

"Whatever, here's the number, her name's on the card, I wish you luck," Sai said flicking the name card at Naruto's head.

"Thank you Sai" Naruto replied politely despite having the name card flung at his head.

Sai nodded and left the room, Naruto dialled the number on his phone, "yes hello, I'd like to speak to Sakura Haruno-Lee please?"

"Speaking," the soft feminine voice replied

"Yes hello, my name is Naruto Uzumaki, my employee Sai told you I would be calling," he stated trying not to be nervous.

"Yes hello Mr Uzumaki, it's good to hear from you…I suppose you want me to keep quiet about my affair with your husband," she replied bluntly.

"Ex-husband. And actually I would like to hear your side of the story, it's been over a year and I've always wondered who you were and whether or not you knew that 'he' was married. Can you please tell me your side of the story?" he asked

"Yes of course, I owe you that much." Sakura took a breath, "Well it started off a little over two years ago, I had just graduated from university and I had a job at the hospital in Konoha as a nurse, Sasuke was my supervisor. At the beginning I didn't know he was married, so it seemed to start out innocent, I would flirt with him and then he'd flirt back. After a while I really believed I loved him. About three months later things started getting serious, for my birthday he got me a silver necklace with the Uchiha symbol as the charm. He said that 'that was a symbol,' a symbol that I was his and I felt like the happiest girl in the world. It was then we started fooling around."

Naruto's heart sunk, he had been cheating on him for two years!

Sakura took another breath, not waiting for a reply from Naruto, "After that our work was none existent, instead of helping others like we were supposed to do, we'd be screwing in janitors closets or at my house. Then about six months in I decided I wanted to be a bit more promiscuous, we both had decided to work a late shift and I had planned to surprise him with sex in his office, I was so excited, I even got one of those sexy nurse outfits to hide under a lab coat. I was about to walk in when I saw you there with him. You had brought Sasuke dinner since he was working so late; you were wearing this dark blue kimono with the Uchiha fan on the back. At first I tried to dismiss it, arguing with my 'inner Sakura' that you were his family or something. But I saw him kiss you; it was a soft and gentle kiss, not like the ones he would give me. So I ran into my office and cried for a good hour or so. A little later Sasuke came and found me, I screamed at him for not telling me the truth, but then he convinced me that he wasn't in a happy marriage. He told me that you were like a china doll, a hollow shell, basically dead inside but his family forbade divorce so he couldn't leave you. And I actually believed him; we continued to mess around."

Naruto whimpered a bit but didn't say anything.

"Sasuke made me feel dark, for the first time I had a taste of power and I liked it. Being the slut of a Uchiha had its perks, I got a new office, I hardly worked, all I had to do all day was just lie on back and please him and I loved it. For the first time I had authority over other people at work, if anyone tried to call me out or threaten to tell you I would just get them fired or transferred because I had that power. Sometimes I wondered whether I liked him or the power he gave me. I felt liberated and I didn't see anything wrong with it." Sakura sighed, "That day when you discovered us was the first time we had ever done it at your house; as soon as you found us he kicked me out and told me never to call again. I could quickly see that the 'unhappy' marriage was a lie, after all he went after you despite the fact I asked him to return to bed with me."

Naruto's heart warmed a bit and he hated it, it made him feel sick at the thought of it.

"After that I tried to convince him that you leaving was for the best, but he didn't believe me, all he talked about was you and trying to find you. I admittedly got quite jealous and started screaming to the roof tops about my affair with Sasuke. I don't know why, I guess I thought if I made everyone recognise me then Sasuke would have no choice but to forget about you and return to me. Foolish really. He threatened my job but that didn't stop me, I still went and told everyone, I even told Sasuke's father and Sasuke was furious. He fired me, gave me an appalling reference, took away my condo he bought me and he made it out to society that I was a slut who deliberately went after him for his money. I became a laughing stock, a homeless laughing stock."

"What happened since then?" Naruto asked

"I learnt from it, I realised we were both in the wrong and I tried to move on, no one would listen to me except for my good friends Ino and Rock Lee, they encouraged me to move on with my life and make a new start, now I own an apothecary/fitness centre with my husband." She concluded.

Naruto nodded, even though he knew she couldn't see it

"Naruto I am so sorry for what I did to you, I realise now that after I found out Sasuke was married I should have stopped it, I'm so sorry it took me this long to realise it. And I'm happy you were able to get away from him. If it's worth it, I think you are a lot happier than when you were married to Sasuke, you are truly talented. I have to admit I'm a bit of a fan. I also understand if you don't believe me, after all I was the slut that screwed your husband."

"Sakura, I believe but it wasn't just you, Sasuke should have been the one to tell you he was married from the beginning and if not, he should have told me he met someone else. It is his fault even more so than yours." Naruto stated.

"Thank you," she sighed in relief.

"I would like to use your story if you don't mind," Naruto continued.

"What do you mean?" Sakura asked.

"How are you at singing?"
