Chapter 14—No Turning Back

Before Ally could even begin to respond, she was being pulled harshly down a flight of stairs. This man must be part of Randy's crew, she realizes. Otherwise she has no idea who he is and what in the world he wants with her.

Either way, this is going to get really nasty and possible end up hurting her.

A lot.

"Get off me!" She yelled, still kicking and screaming, though her screams hardly came out. But that didn't matter. She had to get away.

She had no idea where they were going and she was absolutely terrified. How could she be so stupid? Austin specifically told her not to open the door to anyone, unless it was him. And she so foolishly had forgotten the advice in a matter of seconds.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. If she wasn't being pulled down the stairs by a complete stranger, she would definitely be bonking herself over the head for her thoughtlessness.

They were on the second flight of stairs now, towards the bottom floor, and Ally was almost about to give up with trying to help herself get free. It was her fault she was in this situation anyway. She was the one who didn't listen. She was always the one getting everyone into trouble, and she was also the one that got them involved in this mess too.

Maybe it would be easier if she just went to Randy and handed herself over, letting this all be over with once and for all...

She tried fighting again, and finally managed to successfully kick the man where it really hurts, causing him to double over in pain. She didn't waste a moment and quickly escaped up the stairs ...but unfortunately, it was the wrong way to go.

Still, she continued running, knowing that going anywhere would be better than having that man take her away. She could always call Austin or Trish or Dez once she found a safe place to hide. She definitely wasn't going back to the hotel room. For all she knew, whoever sent the man to capture her probably had other men scavenging around.

But she wasn't able to make it too far.

Ally screamed once she heard something click behind her, instantly stunning her body. The next thing she knew, she was falling down at least eight flights of stairs. She was twisting in all different directions, her body painfully hitting against the edges of the stairs, and her vision starting to blur. However, it didn't change the fact that she saw the black-clothed figure chasing after her down the stairs. She wanted to scream, but the power she had left in her went towards keeping her eyes open and trying to gain control of her tumbling body.

But even that didn't last too long.

Austin was completely oblivious to what had happened. He was walking towards their hotel room, snacks in hand, when he noticed the door left wide open. Confused, he slowly walked up to it and pushed it further open with his free hand. He took one step, and then swore under his breath as he heard glass shattering beneath his feet. He looked down at the floor, and saw the white lamp that was once placed on one of the drawers, next to the door in pieces.

His eyebrows knitted together as he got worried and further entered the room. "Ally?" He called out, waiting a few seconds, but received no reply. He placed the bag of donuts on the tiny breakfast table.

"Ally?" The blonde called again, heading towards the bathroom, but with still no answer.

Now, he really started panicking.

He got out his phone, and hurriedly typed in Dez's number. He was thinking that Ally had disappeared with the two of them somewhere, hoping that they had come back from their trip before he had returned and taken the brunette with them somewhere else.

"Come on! Pick up …..Pick up!" He muttered anxiously into the phone as he paced around the room.

After three rings, Dez finally answered his phone. "Hey, Austin, everything ok"

He shook his head violently as he cut off the red head. "No, Dez. Everything is not okay. Is Ally with you guys, or have you at least seen her? Has she phoned?"

"Whoa, Austin, calm down. No, she hasn't phoned, but I'm sure she is probably getting food or something."

"No, she isn't. That's where I was. Dez, you and Trish need to come back here immediately. T-there is a smashed lamp on the floor and the door was wide open when I got back. Dez ..." Austin said, not wanting finish the sentence and come to terms that she had gone. But he knew that it was important that the other two got back as soon as possible and they needed to know that Ally was gone. Quickly he replied, "I-I think they found her."

He heard the phone drop over the other line.

After a few silent seconds, the worried blonde finally heard them speak up through the phone. "We'll be there five minutes." It was Trish.

After hanging up, Austin started to pack everything, guessing that they now have to travel further once they had found where Ally's location was.

He grabbed a screwdriver and went around unscrewing all of the cameras that they had installed the night before.

Wait a second...

"Why didn't I think of that sooner?!" He yelled, angry at himself. This entire time he could've been viewing the video footage and identifying what had happened in his absence.

Stopping halfway through packing, he quickly picked up his laptop and began finding surveillance of the correct camera, the one that was aimed directly towards the door.

Once he had found it, he went to play it, but heard Trish and Dez enter.

"Dude" Dez said, but wasn't able to finish.

"Before you say anything, sit your asses down and try to see who this dick is."

Trish and Dez shared a look of bewilderment. But with no response, the redhead and Latina sat down next to Austin and began watching the video tentatively. The first segment showed Austin and Ally talking, then Austin and Ally making up, then finally, Austin leaving.

Five minutes later, they saw Ally walking up to the door and opening it slightly. Once the door was open, Trish, Dez and Austin all gasped.

This was a shock to them all.

Where they not safe anywhere?

"This is saying that Ally is halfway down the highway road about five minutes from here. If we go now ..." Dez said, looking down at his phone, but was cut off as a frantic Austin was already storming out the door. "We will be able to catch them…." He finished, trailing off.

"He's worried, that's all." Trish tried comforting the redhead, who was worried about Ally as well.

They both then heard a high pitch car horn.

"I think Austin really wants us." Dez stated.

They both laughed, grabbed the rest of their things and walked into the lobby. Walking past the front desk, Trish handed the old guy now at the reception the key to their room and quickly exited the hotel before he could ask any questions.

"What took you guys so long!?" Austin said, pulling down the window once they approached the car.

"Calm your horses. Some of us actually needed to make sure that we got everything before we went on a high-speed car chase. Thank you very much." Trish replied, sliding into the backseat.

"Well, come on!" The blonde exclaimed as Dez loaded the trunk and entered the car, sitting down in the passenger seat.

"Austin, we're all worried for Ally, trust me. But now is not the time to be getting angry or rude. We have feelings too." The redhead pouted, crossing his arms.

"It's okay Dez." Trish comforted him, patting his shoulder from the backseat.

"I'm sorry guys. I-I just don't want to waste any more time. Every second that goes by, Ally is traveling further away from us." Austin apologized, as he drove out of the hotel parking lot and onto the highway.

"It's alright. Now come on. We all want to save Ally too, you know." Trish said.

"What way first?" The blonde questioned.

"Go left onto the dirt track and we may be able to beat them to the middle of the road." Dez explained, looking down at his phone.

Austin nodded, and then turned onto the muddy track Dez just told him about. He looked back at the redhead. "Then?"

"Then, we'll cut off the white Ford Mondeo she's been captured in and get her out and kick that son of a bitch"

"Dez, calm down. We will get her back; you both need to calm down." Trish advised them. "This is a very stressful situation, I understand that, but we can't let our emotions get the better of us. For all we know, they may be onto us or suspect us of trying to get Ally back. If we do want to save her, we can't bring any attention to ourselves or do anything unnecessary."

Sure, she was upset that her best friend has been captured and could be in a life or death position, but she had a freaking tracing device in her back, there is no way they couldn't reach her in time. She wouldn't let that happen and she knew Austin and Dez felt the same way.

"Look!" She pointed out.

About fifty meters in front of them was the white Mondeo that Dez had told them about. Austin drove quicker, and managed to drive past them. He skidded round onto the road, causing the car to stop at a halt. However, it didn't stop.

The white car fell over the edge, rolling and rolling down the rocky hill that lead to the edge of a cliff.

The trios' hearts stopped at the sight of their best friend tumbling down the hill in that car. They were absolutely frozen in fear and utter terror.

They made no breathes. No heartbeats. No sounds.

It was entirely silent.

Except the loud sound of an automobile smashing against every tree stump or boulder...

...and then the loud, deafening boom of an exploding car.
