Chapter 14–Broken Throne-The New Heir-Part 2
Celestine's Castle: Celestine's Garden
"Lady Celestine, he's here." One of Celestine's Maids spoke.
The elf Goddess turned around to smile upon seeing Naruto arrived, but her smile faded into a frown once she saw a serious look on his face.
"Naruto, I'm so sorry that-" Naruto cut her off but rising his right hand.
"I know…" He paused for a moment "But M isn't a child, he will survive and Maia will be fine. I believe in my son, I will deal with the plan to save them later. But right now there's something I must do right now."
"What is that?" She asked him with a worry look.
"Celestine, I want you to meet the Lords and Kings who ruled this land long before you and I. I believe their strength can be a good turn in your favor." He smiled.
"My favor?" She looked confuse.
"Yes, with the power they hold. You can be or just as well be powerful as me or them. But…that is if a Goddess such like yourself can accept their offer. I won't force this on you, but I will at least you meet them."
"How can I meet them?" She wonders.
"Close your eyes and hold your breath…" The Elf Goddess did what she was told. She could hear the sound of a wave echoes through her mind.
"We're here…" Naruto spoke in a sadden tone.
"Here?" Celestine open her eyes only to see where here was, was nothing but darkness. Looking around afraid seeing nothing and only nothing worried the Goddess.
Naruto snapped his fingers as a chair rose from the ground.
"For you…" He offered her a chair, trusting the Crownless King the Elf Goddess sat down in the chair.
Naruto walked ahead of her facing towards the nothingness, the Crownless King then punched himself in the chest deep, he'd ripped out a giant chuck of energy from his being. He crushed the chuck of energy and like before he summoned the Kings who ruled the lands and age before him.
However this time there was an extra people there, it was the Ivory King.
Celestine looked confuse as each of these Kings had a seat of their own King and each of them was facing towards Celestine.
"Gentlemen, may I introduce you to Celestine Lucullus, she is the Elf incarnated of the Goddess Laurentia." The Crownless King introduces his new ally.
All the rulers stared at the busty Elf High-Goddess, however only Vendrick smiled at her while the rest frown (though the Giant Lord had no face).
"So this is the one who ruled our land now? She's the one who woken you because of she's afraid to face the dark future?" Lord Gwyn spoke.
Naruto looked away with narrow eyes stare.
"Yes…"
"Leave us be, we wish to speak with her alone." Gwyn said.
"I can't leave her alone with you guys." Naruto refuse.
"The things I will speak with her are none of your worries. Your rule is strong as iron." Gwyn said.
"But her rule is weak as wet wood." The Old Iron King said.
"Fear not no harm shall come to her. We just wish to speak to her." Vendrick said, being the voice of reason.
"Very well…I'll hold it to your promise." Naruto glared at Gwyn.
"My actions of my rule maybe be foolish to orders, but villain I am not. Leave with ease mind, Naruto. You protected first fire, no harm shall come to the fair Goddess." Gwyn let out a small sigh.
Naruto slightly bow his head, as Gwyn respond with a head bow. Celestine saw Naruto vanish into thin air.
"Lady Celestine." Vendrick spoke first.
"Y-y-yes." She spoke in a scared voice.
"How about we change our…background shall we?" Vendrick said with a kind smiled.
The Giant Lord stomp his right foot down as the background changed into a giant courtyard, there Celestine could see a beautiful view of a sunrise behind the former rules of the land.
"How is it a Goddess like yourself can lost a battle against one mortal man?" The Lord of Cinder asked.
"If I was able to fully gain my Goddess powers…I could defeat him. Also I had a vision of my defeat and the dark fate I fear that will come true." She frowned.
"Explain, what do you mean if you were able to fully gain your powers?" The Old Iron King asked.
"I gave up my Godhood in order to help the mortals of this world, because of my powers the elf and other high elves was able to turn the tide against the dark forces. However, many died and I too died but I was later reborn as the person you see before you." She explained.
"How did you die may I ask?" The Ivory King asked.
"I…had to deal with a foe…that cost me my life. My servants quickly discovered I was reborn as a High-Elf. I kept my memories however I do not have my fully memories of my Goddess life."
"What is past is past as Naruto once said. Now is important. We ask of Naruto to bring you here for we can see you for ourselves. So we all make the choice at hand." The Ivory King said.
"What choice is that?" She asked them.
Gwyn was the only one to sigh after hearing her question. He held out his right hand as an orb of bright yellow energy summon in his palm.
"I will give you power, power to defend your Kingdom and to protect your people." Gwyn said.
"Power…" She stared at the orb in Gwyn's right hand.
"Will you take the throne knowing you will burden a greater suffering?" He asked her.
Celestine gasp when she heard Gwyn's words, those were the very words she heard in her dream, she frown as the dream she had was once again future sight of what would or could happen.
"I…can't." She looked away.
"I see…" Gwyn nod.
The other looked disappointed by her choice.
The Lord of Giants made a loud groan noise.
"What did he say?" Celestine asked them.
"He said "Why not? Naruto picked you." that's what he said." Vendrick said.
"Naruto picked me? But why?" She looked confuse.
"We have been living inside Naruto for ages, he would see us every age or so, seeking wisdom in order to protect the world he loved so much. Naruto have kept the fire of Gwyn burning for so long, battling the forces of darkness, the children of the abyss and being from beyond. Time after time and again and again Naruto have gain and lose allies from love ones to brothers in arm to even those who call him Master or my Lord. Naruto picked you not to take this power just to win this war but something more." The Old Iron King explained.
"I'm lost…" Celestine looked worried.
"Foolish girl…" Gwyn chuckle "Naruto want you to be successor of first flame."
"Successor of first flame?" She didn't understand.
"During my age, I brought fire to the world and with fire came life, harmony and peace. The first flame is my power, it is the embodiment of my soul and will. Naruto has kept that will alive for ages, even to the point he use his own soul to make sure the fire burns. However that would cost him later in life." Gwyn explain.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked them.
"Since Naruto was marked by the Abyss, he can never truly become a true successor of first flame. He became…an avatar so to speak by using first flame as a weapon to keep the balance of the world in check. However sadly, Naruto's fate and destiny falls in the pt of the Abyss." Gwyn sighs in disappointment.
"No…that can't be, Naruto is kind, lovely. He's a strong leader, stronger then I…" Celestine didn't want to believe their words.
"Ah, but it's true. He made a deal with the Abyss in order to bring back someone he lost dear. However the Abyss doesn't give only takes. That day Naruto lost half of his soul, to this day the Abyss holds a fragment of Naruto's soul." Gwyn continues to explain "Naruto should not be able to use first flame because of the Abyss. However, he is able to use it. The boy has suffered much through his age."
"May I ask…how is it Naruto is still alive? I heard he is immortal, he sacrifice his death…but how can one do such a thing?" She asked them.
Vendrick chuckle as he knew the answer to her question.
"Because Naruto made a choice, a choice that would keep darkness in the abyss and fire above us all, he escaped…he found a way to exist outside the cycle of life and death. And those who he spawns will have this…gift and so on. For Naruto, Death is nothing but a slumber he will soon awaken from, he is dead yet he dreams…" Celestine didn't like how Vendrick said those last words.
"But even Naruto can hide things from us. Though we live inside his soul, there things even we cannot see through his heart. But…we do see you Celestine you share a special spot inside his heart." Vendrick chuckled.
"I do…" She looked a bit surprise, she blushed a bit.
"Yes…you share the very same spot where Lady Astraea rests. He cares for her deeply." Vendrick told her.
"It could be she looks like…'her'" Gwyn said.
"Her?" Celestine looked confuse.
"The woman who Naruto's heart to this day bleeds for, she was his first love. She loved him and he loved her so dearly. When she died, he offered his own soul to bring her back. But life is cruel to the kindest soul." Vendrick let out a sad sigh.
"Who was she? What was her name?" Celestine grew curious.
"Her name was Beatrice she was a Witch. She was a brave Witch…ah yes, indeed she was. She traveled the Abyss with no fear. However she died in battle protecting Naruto from the Four Kings that lived in the Abyss."
"Naruto…poor Naruto…" Celestine felt her heart grew heavy.
"The Abyss has no tell of time, those who travel the Abyss could possible use it as a mean to travel through time. And so Naruto use it to try to save her, he even warned her of her death. However she wasn't afraid she battled the Four Kings and again and again she died protecting him. However when Naruto went back in time to save her…" Vendrick paused.
"What happen?" She asked.
Gwyn decided to be the one to speak.
"During the tenth re-battle with the Four Kings, the young man stabbed the woman he loved. He was blinded by a dirty shot by the bastards, he lost his sight for that moment. But the Witch forgave him, his sword drown in her blood, before she died Naruto tried to take her soul to keep her close to him, however he could take a small fragment of her soul, the rest of her soul went to the heavens." Gwyn couldn't help but feel sad even for someone like Naruto to suffer that lost.
"That moment Naruto's mind was damage from the lost, he snapped and he slaughters the Four Kings like lamb. Naruto absorb their souls, he became drunk on revenge. His mind broken the Abyss took him and twisted his mind and body. He became something else. He was more powerful any Dark Wraith the Abyss spawn. He became a living terror all would know him as 'Nightmare'."
"What happen to him? How did he escape the Abyss's control?" She asked them.
"Thanks to select few those who call him brother, lover, friend those who were close to him searched out for him. They later found him only to battle him, if not for the help of Princess Dusk, Naruto would never be free from the Abyss's control."
Celestine thought on the hell Naruto been through the ages.
"But his mind was later restore not only thanks to Princess Dusk, but to another Witch, her name was Sarah. It turned out Beatrice was Sarah's little sister, she offer her life to keep Naruto's sane through his journey. But that would be one of Naruto's greatest sufferings."
"So Celestine, I ask you again. You will take the throne, the throne of First Flame. Will you keep my fire alive, the will of the Lord of Cider alive as Naruto did ages ago?"
Celestine closed her eyes she remain silence for some time while the other waited for her answer, the Elf Goddess open her eyes as her green eyes filled with saddest.
"No," She answered.
Gwyn sigh "How disappointing."
The Lord Cinder leap in the air, ready to strike his sword down upon the Goddess. Celestine gasps in fear for she had no mean to defend herself.
"You will not harm her, for she is more than just a successor…" A bodiless voice spoke.
Suddenly the sound of someone snapped finger was heard.
Flash
Celestine notice how Gwyn was frozen in the air as everything around her just stopped, Celestine looked to her right to see an old man in rags standing before her.
The old man smiled.
"Now that's not nice, attacking the young lad's fair lady."
"W-who are you?" She asked the old man.
"She summoned me." The old man smiled.
"Who is she?" Celestine looked confuse.
"Do I need a reason? She is link to her father even apart. She wished to meet her." The old man said with a smirking smiled.
"She?" Celestine asked.
In the blink of the eye, the background swift as the Elf Goddess saw Gwyn and the other Lords vanish. The background and surroundings changed to a large giant flower field.
Celestine looked around to see where she was now, clearly she was no longer in a place tie to Naruto's soul or was she? The place was a beautiful large flower field in the far back there was a large clock tower.
"She will be here soon. Please wait here. And don't mind the flowers especially the odd one…" The old man told her.
"She who?" Celestine look back as she asked the old man, however when she looked back the old man was gone.
"Are you Naruto's newest ally?" A woman's voice was heard.
Celestine looked to her right only to gasp in surprise as a woman stood right beside her. The woman appearance was strange yet beautiful. Her eyes were yellow but had a bright dead stare in them, her very appearance was that of a doll, she wore dark brown robe that cover her body, she held a green necklace around her neck.
The strange woman slightly lend her head forward as she waited for Celestine's action.
"I am…" Celestine answered.
The strange 'Doll' like woman smile just a little, she took one step aside as behind her was young girl.
The young little girl had big bright blue eyes, she had beautiful yellow hair which was tie in two pig-tails, she wore orange colored dress from neck to toe. She had large three whisker marks on her left and right cheek of her face. In the little girls' hand was large flower pot which held a little sunflower.
'How strange, it feels like I've seen her somewhere before?' Celestine thought.
'You have.' A voice spoke in Celestine's mind.
"Huh?" Celestine gasps in shock.
The young girl smiled.
"I heard your thoughts. I can…hear people thoughts. Daddy said its one of my…gifts. Your mind is nice…it's warm and it's filled with lots of light. Lady Celestine." The young girl said while smiling.
"W-who are you and how can you read my mind?" Celestine started become scare.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean too." The young girl frown "My name is Naruko, Naruko Uzumaki." The young girl bow her head in a respectfully manner.
"Naruko Uzumaki, wait Uzumaki is Naruto's last name, are you?" The young girl nodded.
"He's my daddy." She smiled, but her smiled soon turned to a frown "Daddy had to go, he said the other world needed him. So he woke up…I know that dad doesn't like when me and the others but in his business but…"
"Yes?" Celestine started to open up to this other child of Naruto's.
"Like he ever want us in his business?" A small voice spoke.
"Huh, who spoke?" Celestine looked around.
"Me," The voice spoke again.
"Huh?" Celestine scared and confuse.
Celestine looked down to see the voice was coming from the small flower plot in Naruko's hands, it was the small sunflower talking. The small sunflower had a kind friendly face with a smile to match.
"IT TALKED!" She yelled.
"Yeah, I talk, what you never seen a talking sunflower before? Guess that what happen when you use Old One's Blood on a plant." The small sunflower frowned for a moment.
"It's ok Flowey I'm sure she never met one before." Naruko smiled at her plant.
"Y-yeah," Celestine chuckle while she sweatdrop at the rare encounter.
"Anyway you were talking to Mr. Gwyn and the others weren't you?" She pause for a moment "I felt you were…falling, you have lot of guilt inside your heart…and fear why is that? Daddy is trying to help you." Naruko frown at the busty Godddess.
"I'm afraid…I'm afraid…I'm afraid of losing him."
"There's no need to be afraid. Daddy is more afraid of losing your trust."
"Yeah! We seen the big guy fight he's a badass!" Flowey cheered.
"Huh? What do you mean?" She asked Naruko.
"Dad believed in those he called his friends, everyone believes in him and he believes in them, his strength come from everyone. Daddy was asleep he didn't know anything that happen outside his dream. But you took over, you brought peace and harmony you kept his peace alive, even though you never met him. If you're afraid then you'll lose everything if you're afraid." Naruko explain, while Flowey nodded.
"So take Mr. Gwyn's offer, don't be afraid…even if you lose. Long as your not afraid you won't lose. Daddy never gave up even if he lost he kept trying and trying, he never gave up. Daddy never gave up, he won't give up so you can't give up either, Celestine you're not alone. Not only Daddy's there to help you but you have loved of your people and the other Princesses." Naruko reached out, she touched Celestine's right cheek, the young girl smiled at the scared Elf Goddess.
"How you do know so much?" She asked Naruko.
"I'm my father's daughter. Me and daddy are close, when I close my eyes I can see what he sees, I can feel his heart when mine's beat. We're apart but close in spirit. Celestine would you do me a favor?" Celestine smiled as she nodded.
"Tell daddy it's time to let go. Give daddy the love he so longed for. I've seen your soul, for a Goddess your soul sure is…mortal. Your light matched 'hers' I think you and her share more than a beautiful face." Naruko giggle.
"Yeah…maybe in cup size too." Flowey laughed.
"Flowey!" Naruko puff her cheeks in anger.
"What? It could be true, I mean she have giant breasts I mean look at them!"
"Thank you, Naruko." Celestine closed her eyes while smiling big.
Naruko respond with a big wide grin.
"Let's go back and this time you'll make the right choice I know you will."
Naruko snapped her fingers, when that happen the background shatter like a mirror, Celestine looked around quickly as she found herself back standing before Gwyn and the other Lords.
"Celestine, what is your choice?" Gwyn asked.
"No," Celestine said with a frown.
Gwyn sigh, he was about to speak but Celestine cut him off.
"I won't keep your fire alive." She let out a small sigh as she took a deep breath.
"But I will keep the fire that Naruto cherish. The fire that burns that is his hope for the world. I want to keep the hope that Naruto struggle and sacrifice to keep alive, I will take the throne of First Flame, only for Naruto's sake not yours. Naruto gave me Hope now it's my turn to give him hope. I don't care if his fate lies with the Abyss, I will burden this for his sake." Her voice was filled courage and pride, her eyes burn with new found strength.
"My Fire will be the light that shines in the Abyss." The Kings were amaze by Celestine's words.
Gwyn stood up from his throne.
"You accept this burden?" He asked Celestine.
"I do and I do not regret my choice." The Elf Goddess told the Lord of Cinder.
Gwyn summoned his giant broadsword.
"For words you are fitting, but that alone is not enough. Naruto fought me with everything he has to prove he was worthy. Now show me Goddess, show me that you have the spark that will light the dying ember a new flame."
Celestine glared at the Lord of Sunlight, not a sight of fear was found in her eyes.
"Her eyes are like his." The Ivory King said with a pleased voice.
"I will not fight you. I am worthy." She kept glaring.
Gwyn leaps toward Celestine as he strike his sword downward. However, his blade phase right through the Elf Goddess. Celestine touched the handle of his sword, Gwyn's appearance started to changed, his body started to fade as if his energy was being drain.
"She is worthy." King Vendrick spoke. The other Lords agree with a nod.
"My soul will be absorbed, and my powers will rightfully belong to you. Use them well prove to me you are fitting to be the New Lord of Sunlight, Goddess." Gwyn said to the Elf Goddess.
"It might restore some of my old power. Make me wonder how my former self would think of this." She wonders.
"Before I go…tell me child, do you recall the name of your parents? That if a Goddess like yourself has parents." Gwyn asked.
"My father died when I was young, but my mother's name I do remember. Her name was Gwynevere." Celestine saw a smile came across Gwyn's face as if she gave him a question he longed for a answer, Celestine wonder why knowing the name of her mother brought a smile to the Old King.
Gwyn's soul was absorbed into Celestine's body, in a flash the Elf Goddess aura changed into bright yellow glow, suddenly a bright gold crown appeared on her head.
"And so the successor has been chosen." The Old Iron King smiled.
"Use this new power well, and please protect Naruto. He is more important than you think." Vendrick told her.
"I know," She gave a nod "He will not fall, neither of us will."
The Old Lords vanished from Celestine's sight as the Elf Goddess closed her eyes as the background swift to the real world Naruto appeared before her with a worry look on his face.
"Celestine?" He called her name.
Suddenly a gold crown appear on her head, in Celestine's right hand a long broadsword appear but the weight of the blade made her drop it.
Celestine touched the left side of Naruto's face which kept him off guard.
"Celestine?" He looked confuse.
"It's time to let go." She said, it took only few minute for it to hit him, but Naruto frown and turned away.
"So…you know?" He sighed.
"Beatrice, what you gave up when you try to save her. And…I met Naruko is she your real daughter? She's a very nice person I see she take after her father a lot." Celestine smiled.
"I would have given up my whole soul just to save her. But time after time I failed and failed again, my mind faded and the Abyss had it control over me. I can never forget that day…can never forgive myself for that failure. Because of her I never want to see anyone who I cherish fall in battle." He sigh while frowning.
"And yes, Naruko is my daughter…she is…my last child." He added.
"Naruto…I know it's not my place to tell you this. Everyone who fought alongside you are willingly to give up their lives for you. You gave them a second chance a new life, a new home. I know you can't image them living a life without you. I know you're afraid to lose them." Celestine tried her best to bring light into this.
"It's not that easy Celestine." He shook his head.
"Tell me then." She waited for his responds.
"I lived a long life, a life…too long. I've seen the good and bad in every living being on this earth and…those beyond. I'm afraid to lose everything I built to create this peacefully era. If a fool challenge me I will win, however if that fool have the power of the Abyss or beyond I become afraid. I hate the Abyss with my every soul, however I am its King and my fate lies with it. I lost my first love to the Abyss, I nearly lose my Kingdom to it a second time, to make sure the Abyss never raise, a curse was placed." He explained to the Beautiful Goddess.
"A curse?" Celestine raised a brow.
"Yes a curse, I fell into a deep slumber and only awaken whenever the world needed me, when a threat so great could end the world. I would awaken from my slumber. You are the third person to awaken me from the deep slumber." He explain some more.
"Why you would do such a thing? What about your family surely they would miss you, what of Lady Astraea feelings?" She asked him.
"She's close being a wife I have, she understands and accepted my choice." He sighs.
"But still…Naruto, I don't the choice you made." She frowned.
"I was a young Lord at the time; I was foolish and easily trust those who show loyalty to me. But those who I once called allies betrayed me and seek the Abyss. Rather than end their lives I prison them within my seal book. I could explain more, but I am needed elsewhere, I must go save M and Maia." He was about to walk away, but Celestine grabbed his hand.
"Naruto…please…stay with me." Her eyes longed for him.
"I can't…"
"Please…stay with me…I need you now more than ever. M and Maia will be saved, I'm not afraid anymore…you gave me Hope, now let me give you Hope." She pulled his hand between her large chest.
Naruto smile a little "I'm such a fool…I fall prey for beauty so easily or is…my heart that weak from the pain of my past?"
"You are neither…"
"How do you know? We only met few days ago. You…don't know the things I dealt with or the pain I burden." He frowned.
"Why do you carry this burden? Everyone within your Kingdom loves you they fight for you and with you. Is it because of…Beatrice?" He looked away.
"She was my first…failure during my journey. I try and I try and I tried to save her, I even told her, her fate, but she went on anyway. I wanted to save her but I couldn't…I hate…seeing people fall just to protect me. Why protect me…I'm immortal now…I can't die even when I want too."
"Yes, that maybe true, but you are the hero, the King who keep the era of Hope alive, they will die for you to keep that Hope alive. You are Hope. Naruto, you are not alone…so please shared your burden with me." She pressed her forehead against his.
"Naruto…"
"Yes…"
"I want our Kingdom to become one…" He looked surprise by her offer he backed away a bit, looking at her with a serious look, the Elf Goddess smiled at him.
"I'm serious." She told him.
"My people aren't what I call…human…some of them. Your people wouldn't see them as normal and the thing I want is another war because we're different…" He frown.
"What of it? You are their King and you are more human than anyone I know. If you, their King is human then they are human as well."
"Hahaha…human…man what make a person human? Only way they will understand if…" He paused.
"If there was a child born from the two Kingdoms…" She held his right hand, Naruto closed his eyes while smiling, he knew what she wanted.
"Celestine…not right now…right now I want to save my son and Maia. After I save them we'll talk about this okay? Let take one step at a time. I guess this is one way to create a New Hope huh?" He laughed lightly.
"Naruto, please promise you won't lose hope. No matter what happens in the future please…" She frown. She held his right hand tight.
"I promise…I'm glad I made a right choice."
"The right choice?" She raised a brow.
"I put my faith in you, entrusting the power of the Lord of Sunlight. That power is yours now, the power of the First Great Lord."
"I see…I feel it flowing through me. But Naruto…"
"Yeah?" He asked.
"When this is over, I mean…after we defeat Volt…I want to know everything. I'm not afraid I want to know the truth and I do mean The Truth." She looked at him with a deep stare.
Naruto looked away with sad eyes, he let out a sad sigh. He shook his head for a moment.
"Celestine, I won't bullshit you…but there are things even my most loyal allies doesn't know about me."
"If it's about the Abyss-" Naruto cut her off before she continued.
"No it's not that, they know that…there a time went on a solo journey to the north, there a city fell under an evil…curse. An Endless Hunt many would call it and the red moon falls over…I return home but different after that journey…but enough of that, I have go."
'I'll find out one day…I don't care if you're a monster or beast…you're human to me.'
Naruto opened a portal to his castle as Celestine was about to followed behind but the portal quickly close cutting the Goddess off from the Crownless King.
"Naruto…" She let out a sigh while frowning.
Upon returning to his castle, he was greeted by another fellow servant of his. It was one of Naruto's undead maids.
"My Lord I have bad news…" The undead maid spoke while bowing her head.
"Oh great…now what…" He groans.
Naruto looked around and notice something was off.
"Where's Astraea? She always shows up when I return."
The undead maid looked upward with a large frown as she informed her Lord the news. Naruto's eyes in shock, from shock his eyes was filled with rage.
M and Maia's Location:
Volt and his men stopped for a short break, the area they took a break was within a large forest in a large open area.
M and Maia still trapped inside the cage, the two watched while he men rest and ate. But while the group was relaxing suddenly a loud voice roared in the skies. Birds flew away in fear.
"THHHHHEEEYYYYY DID WWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT!"
"What the hell was that?" Volt shouted.
'Holy shit…I never heard dad this piss off before,' M thought.
"That would be my father he must have read your letter." M guessed.
"You are a dead man." M added.
Volt didn't feel threaten by M's words only annoyed. Deathwing could only smirk as he enjoyed making the Crownless King angry.
"Good, if he strike us with rage he will be un-focus and easy to capture." Deathwing said.
"Still an old fool I see. Do you think capturing me and Maia will give you a drop of victory?" The Graceful Assassin asked them.
"I know your father, he will come to your aid and when he does, I have a special surprise waiting for him. He may have first flame, but even he has weakness an immortal like him can't overcome." Deathwing laughed.
M only stared with a big frown.
"Father only mistake was not killing you, but this time I doubt you will get off with a second chance. While you were imprison the world grew and as did father. You will die Deathwing, if my father won't be the one, then I will be the one to bring down the hammer of Death down upon you."
"AH, what can the pup do without his blade?" Deathwing mocked M.
"Said the man who got his jaw destroyed by a little girl?" M grew a cocky smiled, Deathwing growl in anger as his teeth became dragon fangs for a moment.
"Enough!" Volt shouted "The boy will be given the hardest challenge once we return home. I will make sure of that and he will suffer."
"I can hardly wait." Deathwing blew smoke out from his mouth. Deathwing turned away and walked off but not before he killed one of Volt's men by punching his head off in one punch.
"I'm surprise he didn't kill you." Maia looked surprise.
"He could, but he won't he needs me alive. Because his not strong enough to go full dragon, in his current state even someone human as you could kill him." M explained.
"Who he is, seem another someone you know."
"Not me…he knows my dad, he and dad go way back during the early days. But now he is nothing more than a backstabbing bastard. I hope mother is doing her best to calm father down, a rageful King is one thing we don't need right now." M sighed.
Unknown location:
The location was dark, as a pair of blue flames appeared in the dark.
A green flame appeared between the two blue flames.
"How goes the progress?" The green flame asked.
"Slow, but it working to somewhat." A young female voice spoke.
"Explain…"
"Volt has some extra help, some guy named Deathwing, I don't trust him, he smells of death and betrayal. We have the Crownless King's son capture along with one of Volt's former ally."
"I see…for now keep them alive, no matter what Volt or Deathwing say, if the Crownless King shows up then 'she' won't too far behind him."
"What if Volt doesn't keep the end of his deal?"
"If he takes too long, kill him. I want Celestine's mind to break before I get my fun he-he-he."
"No problem,"
"How about we have the Crownless King be the one to deliver the blow?" A deep male spoke which was the second blue flame.
"Do you have a plan?"
"I just might, but for now we will wait. I believe we will see a different ending to this chapter soon."
"I can't wait…"
Celestine's Kingdom:
Celestine remained in her garden, after she heard the loud roar which belongs to Naruto. Lin and Kala told the Elf Goddess not to worry however, she wouldn't help but worry. While she was alone in her garden, she couldn't help but feel a dread in the air.
Suddenly Celestine froze in place she heard a sound the sound was that of a growling animal. Celestine slowly turned around to see what animal was behind her.
Celestine gasp, the animal standing behind her was a large one, a large black fur colored wolf, the wolf had bright blue eyes look like flames, it mouth showing its large sharp fangs. On top of the wolf's head seem like a white colored mask.
"Fear not Goddess we are not for you today." A soft woman voice spoke. Celestine looked around to see where the voice was coming from.
Appearing from nowhere, Celestine watched as a black mask appear before her, the space around the mask bend and twist as it took shape of a small figure woman, who had long white hair, and like the wolf her eyes were blue flame like, in her right hand she held a large bow.
"W-w-who are you?" She asked them.
"She doesn't remember us…Lamb." Wolf growls.
"Of course not, it has been…some time. She has been reborn she has been with the mortals for too long. But it doesn't matter…"
"She soon will remember us." Wolf laughs.
Celestine swallows her worries and looked at the two with angry eyes.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my Kingdom!" She demanded them to answer her.
"We are Kindred…those who escape the hands of Death become our mark. We are bored, so we came here. We smell of those long past their time…here. But our target was here…but now he's not." Lamb explained.
"We missed him only by a hair!" Wolf barked.
"No…you can't…you are here for Naruto? No you can't!" She bit her bottom lip.
"Naruto? Naruto?"
"That name…have we chase someone by that name?" Wolf looked at Lamb.
"No…wait…no I do not recall someone by that name. How strange, we know all and all beyond here and there. But this name is new to us…"
'If they're not here for Naruto…think Celestine, think.'
"The one whom you should be looking for is the one whom bring terror and pain to the lands. They should be your targets, not my allies."
"So…you are allies with the dead ones? How so and how mad of you." Lamb looked at the Elf Goddess oddly.
"Nothing mad of it. They want this war to be over as much as I." She said.
"So be it, the dead ones here have yet to meet their end, but I know their names…Lin, Kala, Sif, Ornstein…" Celestine's eyes widen in fear once she heard their names "One day they will died for good. There is a force keeping us from marking them now."
"They are long overdue, but something has…kept the sands in their hourglass filled…soon I will chase them." Wolf warns the Elf Goddess.
"How…much do they have left?" Celestine asked, while deep inside she didn't wish to know.
"Hard to say, but the one closest to the end…is the Dragonslayer, he should have met his end two thousand years ago but something kept his fire going. We will look forward to hunting them."
"You will not harm them." Celestine said with angry expression.
"So bold…can't wait to hunt you." Wolf said with its black tongue hanging out.
"No…we can't hunt her…yet. Do not take it to heart…Celestine. They must die…they lived their life its nature for life to end…only to began again. To keep a life going…do you not believe they are happy living such a long life?" Lamb's words dragger in Celestine's mind.
Suddenly Wolf picked up a scent as he held his head air in the head.
"Wolf?" Lamb asked.
"He's near…Deathwing I smell so far yet so near…yes so very near…Lamb."
"Yes," Lamb nod, but before they depart Lamb looked at the Elf Goddess one last time.
"Someone close to the one whom your allies with, will die…two days from now…they lived a long life…but I'm afraid their time will come at last. I'm sorry…but it is their fate, and none shall escape the Kindred Spirit!"
Lamb jumped on Wolf's back as they took off in great hush.
"She can't be talking about Maia…no…its M! I have to warn Naruto."
Celestine took one step forward, she suddenly felt ill. She froze as her mind started to hurt, she wasn't sure what was going on, she felt her mind was on fire for some reason.
The Elf Goddess fell to her knees, she heard a voice calling her name, she looked to see who was calling out to her. It was Lin and Kala who was rushing to her aid. Celestine crash to the floor, her sight faded to black.
"Naruto…" She whispers his name.
"Hey…hey….hey…" A voice called out to Celestine.
"Hmmm…" Celestine shows sign of life.
The Goddess open her eyes only to find herself somewhere far, far, far away from home. Celestine rose up from the ground she looked around her surroundings only to discover she was in white flower field.
"W-where am I?" She looked around.
"Welcome to Yharnam." A woman's voice spoke.
Celestine looked to her right to see a tall woman, the woman was dressed in dark blue robes, she was a Nun. But something about this woman seem very familiar to the Elf Goddess if she met her somewhere before as the woman had her eyes closed the whole time, then it hit her.
"Lady Astraea?" Celestine ask with a confuse tone.
"Oh so you met Naruto's better half in the waking world? I'm sorry to disappoint you but I am not Maiden Astraea we share beauty but not the soul. I am the head Nun of the New Healing Church of the City of Yharnam. Please come with me, there's someone who wishes to meet you." Astraea look a-like said with a smiled.
"How did I get here? I remember I was at my castle…"
"You were summon here, don't worry your physical-form is at your castle. We simple…brought your mind…or rather your soul to this place. Now come let us hurry she's waiting for you." The kind Nun smiled.
"It is Naruko?" Celestine guessed.
"No…you're not that lucky. But she is someone just as important as our God." The Nun chuckled.
The two walked on but stopped at sight of giant doors.
"Who then?"
"This very city is named after her." The Nun opened the giant heavy set of doors, beyond the doors stood there a very tall woman dressed in a white royal dress. In her arms was a young child sleeping peacefully, the woman notice the two and smiled.
"Oh Double you found her, good." The tall woman said with a pleased smiled.
"Of course, I never fail to deliver." The Nun known as Double said with a smile.
"Who are you?" Celestine asked the tall woman.
"I am Queen Yharnam. And I welcome you to my city and I wish to tell you the truth about Naruto."
Elsewhere Unknown location:
In a deep dark cavern somewhere hidden below the earth. A portal open wide from nowhere, as a person step out from the portal. The person was Dark Elf Queen Olga. Olga looked around as darkness surrounds her.
"I'm sorry Naruto. But I don't want to sit by while you do all the hard work. If what Nashandra said is true, I can not only gain new power to defeat Volt but I can also find your old memories. I'm not sure if this will help you or if you want them back." Olga frown.
Even though it was dark and there was no sign of life. Olga walked on through the dark cavern she walked on for at least ten minutes in the dark.
Olga stopped when she felt a dark aura nearby, she watched as something crawl out from the shadows of the cavern. The being that crawl out from the shadows was a tall being, the tall being was a hooded figure that had four arms, it had large angel like wings. The tall being unfold its four arms as Olga saw it was female due to seeing large breasts the hooded figure had.
"Who are you?" Olga asked.
The hooded figure bow down before Olga, she held out second right hand to Olga. It was a dark black fire.
"What is this?" She asked.
"The Dark Soul…the last piece of the Abyss…the last fragment that once was Manus…Father of the Abyss take it and become the new heir of the Abyss. Become my…new master Dark Queen Olga."
Olga took the black fire and placed into her chest as she absorbed into her being. She felt the dark soul fusing with her soul. Olga fell to her knees after absorbing the dark soul, the hooded female wings reached out as her wings covered Olga as her body was covered in black flame.
Back underneath the City Below, Nashandra still chained up smiled as she felt it, she felt the Abyss power suddenly grew. She felt its dark was growing.
Nashandra nodded and smiled.
"Yes…The Abyss shall be reborn…"
