As promised, here's another chapter

"Put your hands behind your back." I did as I was told and they handcuffed me.

"Your under arrest for possession of an illegal substance." I shook my head.

"This is ridiculous. I called you guys because someone broke into my apartment and I'm the only one that gets arrested." This is exactly while I don't trust law enforcement.

"I can assure you that we will continue to look for whoever broke into your apartment." The officer that was talking to me before said.

"Yeah whatever." I shrugged.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Jack Brewer." I replied. They took me outside and made me stand in front of the police car. One of the officers got in the car and I think he started trying to look me up.

"Have you ever been arrested before?" The other officer asked.

"No." I replied.

"How old are you?" The officer that was in the car asked.

"18." I replied.

"Well, here's the thing, your not showing up in the system, so either you tell me the truth or I take you to jail for possession and tampering." The officer yelled.

"I'm not lying about anything." I yelled. Then I realized that I told them Jack and not Jackson. "Wait, I'm sorry, I told you Jack but my full name is Jackson." I corrected.

"Okay, well you lied again." The officer began. Oh my God. "You told this officer that you've never been arrested before but on the records it sais that you've been arrested for second degree murder." He said.

"That would be my dad's file, I'm not 42'" I replied with a cocky smirk. This guy really stinks at his job.

"I'm sorry, he's still in training." The other officer whispered to me. "I'm sorry man but I gotta pat you down." The officer said.

"It's fine." I'm not to fond of the officer in training but the other one isn't all that bad. I still don't like law enforcement though.

He started patting me down, checking all my pockets and running his hands along my arms and legs. When he reached the top of my left arm he stoped.

"What's up here?" He asked.

"I just got a tattoo this morning so I still have gauze over it." I replied.

"Alright but I still have to check." He said. He pulled up sleeve and pulled the gauze back. "Okay, your all good.

"Will they let me leave the gauze on?" I asked.

"During the booking process you should be fine but I don't think you'll be able to leave it on any further then that. So tell me Jack, what happened today that led up to all of this?" The officer asked.

"Not much, I had just got back from my girlfriends house to find that someone broke in. I saw a whole bunch of beer bottles on the floor and all the draws were open. I never thought that I would up in hand cuffs though" I replied.

"Speaking of which, do you live here by yourself?" The stupid officer in training asked.

"Yes." I sighed.

"You said the beer was stolen out of your fridge but you have to be 21 to even purchase alcohol." He mentioned.

"I'm aware." I sighed.

"Your only 18 so how did the beer make it to your fridge?" He asked.

"It wasn't mine." I replied.

"But you live there alone." He replied.

"My uncle died this morning, they were his." I answered.

"Leave the Kid alone Jim." The other officer said. "Okay, were gonna take you to the station for booking now Jack."

"Can I call my girlfriend first?" I pleaded.

"Yes but only because you have been really cooperative and remained fairly calm throughout this process. I'll un-cuff you but if you run I'm gonna charge you with felony evading." He said, I nodded my head and took my cell phone off the hood of the car.

I called Kim and she picked up after a few rings.

"Hey Jack, you doin' okay?" She asked.

"Hey Kimmy, I'm fine I just wanted to let you know that I can't pick you up tomorrow." I told her.

"Jack are you back on that crap?" She asked.

"No Kim, I'm fine I just won't be able to pick you up, but I'll have Jerry drop my truck off at your house." I told her.

"Okay Jack, I'm tired babe, so I gotta go but I love you." I could here her smile and it devastated me to know that it soon would turn into a frown.

"I love you too Kimmy. I'll call you after school tomorrow okay?" I asked.

"Okay, see ya" I wanted to cry and tell her that she wouldn't see me for a while but I couldn't do the, not yet.

"Bye." I hung up and quickly called Jerry.

"Yo, what up dog." He answered.

"Hey Jerry, I was arrested but I need you to take my truck to Kim's house, just load the bike on the back so that you have a ride back. My bikes all yours for the next few months." I said quickly not giving him a chance to talk.

"Okay man Call me when you can." He replied.

"Alright man, I'll see you in a few months." I replied. I hung up the phone and put it back ok the trunk of the police car. The officer walked back over started to hand cuff me but he stoped.

"You won't run if I leave the cuffs off right." He asked. I shook my head.

"If I wanted to run I would already be gone." I replied.

"Alright." He walked me over to the back of the squad and watched me as I got in. He shut the door and hopped in the driver's seat. "We have other officers in route to investigate the break in." He mentioned. I sat silently. Had I thought about running, heck yeah, why hadn't I, I wanted to keep my jail time at its minimum.

By the time the whole booking process was over with it was about 1:00am. I was given q minimum security cell and an ugly orange jumpsuit. My clothes were confiscated along with my phone and my comb and anything else I had in my pocket. I was told that my court hearing would be held in two days and that's when I'll find out how long I'll be in here for. I as given phone and shower privileges due to my 'good behavior. My cot was far from bearable, I might as well sleep on floor.

I talked to Kim yesterday and convinced her that I only missed school because I was planning my uncle's funeral. I went to court today and the judge sentenced me to five months but I can get out on house arrest. Now is when I have to tell Kim. An officer led over to the phones and then walked away. I dialed Kim's number and waited for her to answer.

"Hello." She said.

"Hey Kimmy, it's Jack." I announced.

"Why does you number keep showing up as a restricted caller?" She asked.

"Because it's not my number." I sighed.

"What are you talking about?" She asked.

"Kim, I was arrested on Thursday after I left your house." I stated and the line went dead.
