"Okay, say goodbye to your father." Hermione said to Rose and Hugo.

"Hermione, if all goes right, I won't be gone long." Ron said as Rose and Hugo hug him tightly.

"I know." Hermione said quietly, watching Rose and Hugo vacantly.

"So, I've plotted about twelve check points where your children could be." Dumbledore said holding up a strange looking map. It was close to a calendar but had small pictures of different locations inside each box. But at the bottom, there was a list.

"These are all the checkpoints we have to search for them?" George asked.

"Yes, Mr. Weasley."

"Why these specific ones, though?" Harry asked.

"These are your biggest life changing events."

Harry woke up to the sound of voices in his kitchen. Oh that's right, he thought. It had been three days since those three kids approached him at the Harpies' pitch and they'd been at his flat ever since. He pushed himself up from the pillow and a wave of pain overcame his body.

He'd been sleeping on his cheap couch to let the three kids sleep in his big bed in the bedroom.

"Harry." Ginny's groggy voice sounded from the recliner on the other side of the room. Harry looked at her blurry appearance

"Yeah?"

"How long do you think they're going to be here for?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Because I was thinking that maybe we should move to Grimmauld Place for the time being. I need to sleep in a bed again." Harry stretched as he listened to her, "And judging by how stiff you look, so do you."

Harry gave her a slight nod. That idea, although clever, would mess up the plans he had made for the weekend.

"We'll ask them after we all eat." He replied, "Breakfast?"

"Sure."

A mass ripple broke through the Hogwarts grounds as the large group of witches and wizards landed on the far off edge of the Black Lake.

"Alright, I think most of us should resort here, away from prying eyes. Only a few should search the grounds for the children." Dumbledore started.

"Potter, it's your choice. Who's going and who's staying?" Moody said in his gruff voice.

"I think we should go in three groups. Moody, Dumbledore, and Kingsley. Arthur, Sirius, and Remus. And George, Ron and I. The rest should stay here and stay behind the tree line."

"What? But I'm an auror." Tonks offended.

"I understand that. But I think between you and Molly, the kids will be safe."

Tonks gave Harry a stoic look. She wanted to be apart of the action, not to be babysitting kids who could take care of themselves.

"Fine."

"Tonks, please." Harry said in his serious way.

"Okay." She said putting her wand in her holster and leaning on a tree.

"Alright, meet back here in two hours. Dumbledore, your group should search the east portion of the grounds. Sirius, the west. Ron, George, we're going inside."

"Wait a second. Harry, do you have the Marauder's Map?" Sirius asked, looking at the fifteen year old who was sitting against a decaying tree.

"Yeah." He said, pulling it out of his pocket.

"And, you, do you have it too?" Sirius said pointing to the thirty seven year old.

"Yeah." He said, holding up the parchment.

"And I know how to jack one from a particular group of boys." Sirius said, raising an eyebrow. "Harry, would you mind if Professor Dumbledore and his group borrowed it for a second?" Sirius asked his godson.

Younger Harry just handed the parchment to his headmaster with no answer.

"Two hours." Ron repeated before nodding to his partner and walking away from the others.

"Where do you think we're going to get another map?" Remus asked.

"Where do you think?" Sirius said starting down the hill.

"Sirius, I don't think it's smart for us to waste our time trying to knack the map from ourselves instead of searching for James, Albus and Lily."

"What? Has the adventure side of Moody left when your hair started to grey?"

Harry, Ron and George

"Any ideas where the kids would hide?" George asked.

"The Room of Requirement is the biggest one." Harry said walking toward the castle, "I overhead James and Fred say that they use that room to hide all of their joke equipment. If they're here, I think they'd go there to stay safe."

"Then why split into three groups?"

"I said they would go there. Not that they did."

"If they're not there, I think the headmaster's office would be the next best choice." Ron said.

"Is Dumbledore the headmaster?"

"I believe so."

Sirius, Remus and Arthur

"Alright, there they are." Sirius said pointing to the four boys trailing down the path to the Whomping Willow.

"We have an hour and a half to search left."

"Okay, Remus, this will be quick. Arthur, you keep watch. Remus and I will go and talk to them." Arthur nodded.

"Just be quick. We don't have time to waste."

Remus and Sirius walked over to the four boys, trying to appear as no threat.

"Excuse me, young men." Sirius said to get the boys' attention. The boys stopped and turned around to see two men walking their way.

"Yes?" One of the boys replied, but Remus could see them gripping their wands.

"My name is Sirius, and this is Remus." Sirius said causing the boys to glance at one another, "And yes, the familiarity of our names is not a coincidence. We are here on a mission and we need to borrow your Marauder's Map."

"And how are we to know you're not death eaters." James said as he raised his wand.

"Yes, how are you to know? Well, James Potter, who else in the world knows about the stash of notes you wrote to Lily but never sent that you keep under your bed? Who else knows about that letter you sent to Professor Dumbledore begging him to consider you for Head Boy so you had a chance to be with Lily. Although that last part was left out of the letter you had him write for you." He said jerking his head toward Remus.

"And what kind of mission requires you to have the Marauder's Map?" Young Remus asked still not convinced.

"We're looking for three kids who traveled through time by the work of a broken time turner. They may not be here but we need to search the grounds thoroughly." Remus replied, then pointed to the map, "that would help the mission go a lot faster."

"Well where's yours?"

"We don't have it. Another Marauder does."

"Who are the kids you're searching for? We'll help. But we're keeping the map." Young Sirius said snatching it out of his friends grasp.

"James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter." Remus replied after receiving an approval nod from Sirius. The four paused for a moment.

"Are those my kids?" James replied quizzically.

"More like grandkids." Sirius replied, "And we need to search the grounds for them in the next hour and a half."

Young Sirius gave James a look of question. James gave him a nod, and Sirius opened the map. His eyes grazed across the parchment.

"I don't see any of those names. But I do see a Harry Potter." He said looking up from the paper.

"Well, that's not who we're looking for." Remus said, "We're looking for James, Albus and Lily Potter."

"Who's Harry?" James asked, wand still pointing at the men.

"That would be your son. The kids we're searching for are his."

"Well if they're not on the map, they're not here." Peter piped up.

Sirius gave him a long glare, "Not true. They're smart kids; they would have hid. They've seen the map and they know how to get around it."

"And if you won't let us borrow it. We'll be on our way." Remus said turning around. This was a strategy made by the Marauders a long time ago to get people to help them.

"No, we'll help." James said.

Dumbledore, Moody and Kingsley

"Albus, this thing is guarded. We need a password." Moody said shoving the parchment in Dumbledore's hand.

"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good." Dumbledore said as he pointed his wand to the crease in the map. "I confiscated this map so many times; I know the phrase in seven different languages." He said handing back to Alastor.

"Why do we have to search the grounds if this tells us who's here and who's not?" Kingsley asked.

"It's just safer to double check. The kids could have cast a disillusionment charm and hid themselves from being detected."

"If a group of kids approached you and said that they were from the future, would you have believed them, Albus?"

"Innocent until proven guilty. Good until turned bad. Truth until found to be a lie." Dumbledore said eyes grazing the foreground in front of him, "In other words, I believe I would."

Harry, Ron and George

"Get back." Harry said pulling Ron's back against the wall. A group of kids passed by through the corridor perpendicular to the one the trio stood in.

"Is that it?" George said pointing to the bare wall straight ahead, after the group of girls had turned another corner.

"Yeah." Harry said as the three cautiously approached the door. Harry closed his eyes, the room in which my children are hiding, he thought. He opened his eyes and a door appeared. Harry glanced at the two other men before opening it.

But what they found was an old broom cupboard.

"Mate?"

"They're not hiding in the Room of Requirement. Let's check the headmaster's office." Harry replied, closing the door and starting down the corridor.

"What makes you so sure that you can just walk into the Headmaster's office, and he won't stupefy you before you can even bring up the question?"

"This is Dumbledore we're dealing with. He won't attack without knowing whether we're good or bad."

"Yeah, the Dumbledore we knew wouldn't. But this Dumbledore is way younger than the one we knew. He may not be as wise."

"Maybe, but I don't think being wise has anything to do with making his decisions."

Molly, Tonks and the kids

"An hour left." Tonks said checking her wrist watch, "Do you think the kids are really here?"

"I don't know. But it's obvious that Dumbledore and Harry think there's a possibility. And when those two put their heads together, they do extraordinary things."

"Would you be graduating today, Molly?"

"No, I'm far past graduated. Right now, I'm probably preparing lunch for Bill, Charlie and Percy."

"This may sound mad, but being back here, it seems so simple at this time. Voldemort was rising to power but it wasn't as intense as it is back in our own time."

"That's because this Voldemort wasn't as much of a threat. He was a threat toward the end, but then he was extinguished before he could really show off his follower count. Now that he's back, we know how many followers he had before; he's probably doubled since then."

"I'm probably at home right now, telling Mum all about how excited I am to see Sirius in a week. Even though I was only four years old, my eighteen year old cousin graduating from Hogwarts was the best thing to happen to me. That meant he was going to be around more often, and I would finally get to play all my games with him." Tonks said smiling at the lake, "But, he didn't really visit much. He would come over now and again but he'd always be with his friends or he would want to talk with Mum about grown up things."

"I remember when Andy and Ted brought you to an Order meeting, and you sat on Sirius' lap the whole time." Molly said smiling at her. Tonks gave her a quick smile and then sighed.

"Well that was a long time ago. I guess I'm lucky to still have Sirius in my life to look up to."

A few trees away sat the golden trio; the tension in the air was almost palpable.

"How much longer?" Ron whispered to Hermione.

"A little less than an hour."

"I've realized 'adventures' are a lot more interesting when you're the one doing them. Sitting here is making me antsy." Ron said scratching his head.

"You think you're antsy. Think about Ginny sitting at home waiting for her husband to come back with their kids."

"No, if everything worked out, he would be home with the kids already." Harry replied out of nowhere.

"What do you mean?"

"They're using a time turner, Hermione. We left on July sixteenth at about four thirty, which means when he's setting the time turner to get back to the future, he's going to set it for July sixteenth at four thirty. That's how we're going to get back to Grimmauld Place. We're going to arrive and we'll probably still see the leftover smoke from when we left the first time."

"So how would he be home already?"

"They'll arrive home at the same moment we left, maybe a tiny bit later."

Sirius, Remus, Arthur and the Marauders

"We've searched everywhere we're supposed to, they're not here." Young Sirius said.

"Well, I guess that means we're going to have to head back to the forest line." Arthur replied.

"Come on, you four." Remus motioned to the Marauders.

"What? Why do we need to come with you?" James asked.

"Because you have to be obliviated by Dumbledore so we aren't charged with meddling with time."

"Why can't you guys just—"

"We have to go; Nymphadora and Molly are probably worrying." Arthur interrupted.

"Nymphadora? You mean, my cousin, Nymphadora?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah, she's at the forest line watching Harry and his friends from our time."

"My son?" James asked.

"Alright, we'll come with you." Young Sirius said starting to walk ahead of the others.

Dumbledore, Kingsley and Moody

"Albus, we have fifteen minutes, we have checked our whole area, they're not here." Moody said looking around the side of the castle.

"I know, but it never hurts to take a few extra minutes to check. Amazing things can happen to those who are cautious." Dumbledore replied.

"Where are we going next?" Kingsley asked.

"Lily and James' wedding."

"How is that day of any importance?" Moody asked.

"It's the day Harry came to be."

Harry, Ron and George

"Come in."

Harry opened the door and the trio walked into the office. The headmaster looked up from his packet of parchments and set his quill into its holder.

"I don't remember having any appointments at this time."

"We don't have an appointment, sir." Harry started.

"I'm sorry, I try to get to know every student's guardian but I don't seem to recall who's yours."

"Sorry, sir, but we don't have a student who attends Hogwarts at this moment. But, we have an emergency." Harry replied walking up to the desk.

"Well then, please, take a seat." Dumbledore replied, motioning to the chair on the other side of the desk.

"My family and I have been having troubles with a defective time turner. Because of it, my kids have been sent somewhere in time and we're searching for them."

"Do you believe there here?" Dumbledore asked.

"We think there's a chance they're here."

"Sorry, but no child has stepped forward in need of help. But, if you give me their names I can try to contact you if they do show." Harry paused, questioning if he should give their names.

"No, if they haven't shown themselves to you, then they aren't here." Harry said standing up, and turning to leave the office.

"Aren't you forgetting something, Mr. Potter?"

"I'm sorry?" Harry turned around.

"The obliviation charm."

"How did you know my name?" Harry asked, immediately on guard.

"Your resemblance to James is uncanny. You must be his son or grandson."

"Son."

"I hope you don't mind me asking. But, when is your birthday?"

"July 31st, 1980." Harry replied.

"Just had to ask. Nice to know the prophecy was in our favor, not his." Dumbledore said in a very serene way. He knew he was the Chosen One. "You may obliviate me now." Harry nodded and held his wand.

"Obliviate." A white light shot from his wand to the old man. His eyes shut and Harry nodded to Ron and George, they turned and stride out of the office, closing the door behind them.

Dumbledore revived and opened his eyes to the packet of parchments in front of him. Picked up his quill and in the dark blue ink scribbled out, Potter.

Harry, Ron, and George all hurried back to the forest line. They could cross off one out of twelve points on their list. As they approached the group they were greeted by four extra members. The Marauders.

"They're not here?" Sirius asked.

"No, we checked the Room of Requirement and checked with Dumbledore, they're not here." Harry's eyes flickered to the Marauders.

"We asked them for their map but they wouldn't let us borrow it, instead they searched the grounds with us." Remus explained, "We left the obliviation charm for you or Dumbledore to carry out."

"So, are you Harry Potter?" James asked. Harry nodded. "And you mum is?"

"Lily Evans." Harry replied.

"So she's going to say yes today." James said quietly. Young Sirius rolled his eyes.

"Harry, we should leave." Kingsley interrupted.

"Alright, Dumbledore?" Harry asked.

"Okay, everyone huddle up." Remus said as he took out the time turner stringed onto a long chain. He looped the chain around everyone and Dumbledore held up his wand.

"Congratulations on your graduation. Obliviate."

The group appeared in an empty road in Godric's Hollow. It was a sunny day and the church bells were ringing. At the moment, Lily and James were saying their vows in front of all of their friends and family. Well, most of their family.

"Where is the ceremony?" Ron asked.

"In the backyard of their house. James, Al, and Lily could be there or anywhere in Godric's Hollow." Moody replied.

"Well, Harry, you all visit Godric's Hollow all the time. Is there anywhere the kids like to go to when you visit?" George asked.

"Um, I dunno…The candy shop. They've always asked to go to the candy shop down the street."

"How long has it been there?" Kingsley asked.

"I'm pretty sure it would still be open here. But if not, there's the graveyard and the house, but that's all the places they'd go to."

"Alright, how about we split into the same groups again?" Remus asked.

"No, I object. I don't want to stay behind again! I'm a fully trained, experienced auror, not a babysitter." Tonks said, hair turning red.

"I don't think we should be going in groups." George said, "I have an idea on how to get the kids out if they're here."

"What is it?" Molly asked; hand on her son's shoulders. George looked at his late twin and younger self.

"The fireworks. James knows a WWW firework when he sees one. If we set one off they'll know we're here and will follow it."

"Well, how do you suppose we get one, George?" Ron asked. George looked at the twins. And Fred pulled out a small, white package. Almost looking like a hard candy wrapped in its individual tissue.

"We always keep one on us." Fred explained, "In case an opportunity arises." George outstretched his hand. His late brother placed the package on his palm.

"We need to light it at a time no one will go after it."

"I remember a random firework went off when Lily and James said 'I do'." Sirius said quietly.

"Where?" Harry asked.

"Just beyond the back gates." Remus remembered. The group traveled from the empty street through alleyways and walkways until they reached a reasonable distance from the ceremony where they could see the wedding but not be seen by the wedding.

"How are you feeling, pup?" Sirius asked his godson. The fifteen year old boy looked up from the tree stump he sat on.

"I just met my dad. And now I'm watching my parents wedding. I don't know how to feel." Young Harry replied.

"I understand. I just spent two hours with my best friends from seventh year. And now I'm watching myself trying to behave during a ceremony." Sirius said gesturing to his twenty year old self standing next to James. "Lily made me promise to stand still and not play a single childish stunt during her ceremony. Now she said nothing about the reception. That's when I had my big moment. Hey, if we stick around long enough, we might see her pulling me by hair outside to yell at me."

"What did you do?"

"Nothing that bad. She was just an ill-tempered bride." Sirius said laughing, "Don't worry though, she felt pretty horrible after word and bought me a whole cauldron full of pumpkin pasties and chocolate frogs. So, I was pretty pleased with my work."

Harry smiled and looked back at his parents.

"They were happy, Harry. And when you were born, they were so much happier. And I know that if they were still with us, they'd be behind you one hundred percent, just like the rest of us."

"It doesn't feel like everyone is behind me. Feels like everyone doesn't believe me."

"But, we do believe you. I do. Dumbledore does. Remus does. Hermione and Ron do. And I know Ginny does too." Harry looked up at Sirius.

"Why do you say it like that?"

"Say what like what?"

"About Ginny believing in me." Harry asked, glancing at the ginger girl who was talking to Tonks.

"Well, obviously you must care for her." Sirius said nudging him in his arm.

"Sirius!" Harry whispered turning a slight shade of pink.

"What?" Sirius looked at him playing clueless. Harry shook his head. "I get that you didn't have any feelings for her at first. But, now that you know who you fall in love with, maybe you're starting to have feelings for her?"

"I dunno."

"Don't act like I didn't see you laughing with her at the forest line."

"We're just friends."

"For now."

"Guys, they're about to kiss." Remus said interrupting their conversation.

"Ready, Fred?" Young George asked.

"Ready, George."

"Light it up." They said simultaneously. A sparks drew from their wands and the small package lit, "Five, four, three, two—"

And the firework flew into the sky, just as the couple touched lips. An explosion lit the sky and everyone at the wedding cheered. Smiling at the newlywed's first kiss.
