"Aang!" Katara yelled.
Natasha was about to say something, but Katara interrupted.
"Natasha, stay with Sokka. I'll go find Aang."
About time, Natasha decided. She went to the fisherman and said, "I'll help you, too,"
o.O.o
"Aang!" Katara yelled. "Aang!"
Katara found Aang in a cave in the middle of the mountain.
"Aang, why did you run off like that?" Katara asked with concern.
"He was right," Aang said, "I did turn my back on the world."
"What do you mean?" Katara sat down by him. "Please tell me."
Aang sighed. "It started when my sister disappeared,"
Katara gasped. "You had a sister?"
"I did. One day, we were practicing Airbending when an instructor called her in. I never saw her again."
"That's sad," Katara said.
"A few years passed, and I overheard two instructors talking, saying they were gonna separate me from my Airbending trainer, Monk Gyatso. He was the only one who appreciated me for who I was, not because I was the Avatar.
"So I ran off. I flew away on Appa and flew until…" His voice trailed off.
"Until what?" Katara asked.
"…Until the storm…" Aang took a deep breath. "It was a storm that led me to get frozen in that iceberg. My goal was to find out where my sister went, but I never found her.
"You know about the other Airbender that saved me on Kyoshi Island? I think that's her."
Katara thought for a moment. "I think it's her, too," she said.
o.O.o
Sokka and Natasha spent hours turning the sail of the boat. It was raining, there was lightning and thunder, and the water was rough. Natasha hadn't been scared like that before.
"Sokka, turn it—no, not that way!" Natasha panicked. Sokka turned the mast the wrong way and hit Natasha in the chest. It pushed her back, and she would have fallen out of the boat if Sokka hadn't grabbed her arm in time.
"You almost killed me!" Natasha screamed.
"But I didn't!" Sokka said, his voice shaking.
"Okay, guys!" yelled the fisherman, "We can head back to the docks now!"
The water started to calm down, and when they arrived back at the docks, the storm was gone.
Natasha and Sokka were soaking wet.
"Sokka," Natasha said, "thank you for not letting me die."
"Any time… I guess…" Sokka shrugged his shoulders.
Katara and Aang were by the docks.
"How was it?" Katara asked.
"It was—achoo!" Natasha let out a sneeze (not big enough to make her Airbend, thankfully). Sokka also sneezed.
"I think… I think that's it for today." Natasha walked over to the fisherman and said, "Pay up."
He gave her the money, as he promised. They bought some food, and then flew away on Appa.
o.O.o
Sokka and Natasha both came down with an illness, caused by exposure to the elements during the storm. Katara and Aang were taking care of them when Katara sneezed suddenly.
"No, not you, too!" Aang said.
"It's just a sneeze," Katara said.
"That's how it started for Natasha! Now look at her; she thinks she's an Airbender!"
"Look!" Natasha blew air from her mouth at Sokka. "See? Mind-blowing."
Aang looked at her uneasily. "Yeah, sure it is…" He turned back to Katara, "There should be a herbalist not to far from here. There's probably an antidote."
So Aang began to run (very quickly, due to Airbending). Katara, Sokka, and Natasha stayed where they were.
Natasha looked at Sokka. "You believe me, right?"
Sokka was asleep.
"Oh, okay. Good to know," Natasha said, as if she heard a reply.
o.O.o
Natasha was asleep when Sokka woke her up and said, "Katara's asleep,"
Natasha smiled. "You know what that means?"
"It means we're going to have—"
"Food, glorious food!" Natasha sang.
Sokka smiled. "Yes! Where's the food?"
"Right here," Natasha grabbed Momo by the tail.
"No, we can't eat Momo!" Sokka said. "I think we should eat—"
"Help me stick Momo up my butt," Natasha said, laughing.
"Ew," Sokka said, "Oh, look!"
They looked up at the sky.
"It's a fluffy bunny!" Natasha said, "I wanna touch it!"
"No! It's obviously a turtle!" Sokka said.
"It's a bunny," Natasha said very seriously.
"Turtle,"
"Bunny,"
"Turtle,"
"Bunny!"
"Turtle!"
"Bunny!"
"Tur—!"
"SHUT UP!" Katara yelled.
Natasha and Sokka stared at each other. Sokka smiled suspiciously. "Someone get me a glass! 'Cause I found myself a nice, tall drink… of water." Sokka said in a flirtatious tone.
"I'm not a Waterbender, dimwad." Natasha said.
"Still, you are looking good…"
(Neither of them is thinking straight.)
"Hey," Natasha said, "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"
"Not at all," Sokka said.
"Sokka, are you a—"
Aang came back (finally!) holding three frozen frogs. "Here, suck on these," he said.
A/N: Ha ha! So it appears that Natasha and Sokka like each other more than they let on! Which should make the cactus juice experience very interesting... ;)
