What follow is an important announcement which I would like the readers of this story to read through in its entirety.
Okay, so, for a while now, I have not worked on this story, like, at all. Part of the reason for this is college, which I am now close to finishing. But a bigger part is the lack of motivation for me to continue writing this from the point where I am at. In other words, I don't feel it's worth the effort I would need to put into it.
Now, don't write this story off JUST yet, please, and read through this. It'd going to be weird, but I'm not going to abandon this. In fact, I AM going to finish it, and what's more, unless something major happens, I plan to finish this by the time September rolls around!
You're probably going like "Wait, what!?", and I don't blame ya. I'm telling ya I'm going to finish this in about ten weeks, and I've not updated this for much longer that that. But please hear me out, or read me out, as it were.
Basically, the best part for me to write would be the last quarter of this story, the part that would have been the equivalent to the later half of the show's second season, around the creation of the United Federation of Nations.
So, what I am going to do is condense all the stuff that would have happened before that point into some sort of resume, and write out the story from that point. I believe I have enough "Author's Stamina" to achieve at least this.
Yes, it's not particularly classy as an author, and I would agree it's a raw deal of sorts, but it's honestly the best I can do right now, and I personally see it as a better deal than just plain dropping the story.
I'm going to publish that under a new story called Code Geass : Rebirth of an Empire.
