Luna's POV:

I frowned in my sleep, the floorboards creaking as other campers began to stir and get ready for morning camp activities. I was not a morning person, I liked my sleep like any other regular girl, however, for some reason I felt terrible. I couldn't explain the feeling that well, but something felt…off.

So I sat up slowly, waiting for some of the campers to flood out so I could have some more space to move around in. Once more space was provided; I changed, brushed my teeth, and made my way to the archery range.

My eyes continued to wander towards Percy's dorm, I felt compelled to check on him. He hadn't been there during dinner, and he certainly hadn't answered me when I knocked on his door last night.

Could something be wrong? It wasn't like Percy to just up and vanish without a word, at least, that wasn't normal to me anyways. I shook my head; maybe he just wasn't feeling well. I ran a hand through my bed head, and strolled a bit closer to the cabin.

That's when I heard a devilish voice "going somewhere?" it asked. I turned, and rolled my eyes, as I noticed none other than Kaden.

I pursed her lips "what are you doing here you little weasel" I asked, arms crossed.

He held his hands up defensively "hey, don't be like that… just because I had some fun doesn't mean-" he didn't finish.

I jumped in "a little fun? A LITTLE FUN!?" I snapped.

Kaden winced at my tone "Com'on pranks are the only thing I'm good for, don't take it too personally princess, I do it to everyone" he muttered.

I was not pleased with that answer, he was just spouting words to make himself look better. I opened her mouth to respond, but Kaden beat me to it.

He walked up close, and leaned in "about our deal... have you thought about our little discussion from before?" he asked.

I blinked, Kaden knew something else, something that may be a hint to the way Percy had been acting. The question was, did I actually trust this snake.

I thought about it, I didn't want to trust him, but at this point my curiosity was going to get the better of me.

I knew I was going to regret this "fine, I'll do another favor for you, one thing you tell me to do… however I have conditions" I said.

Kaden shrugged "by conditions you mean..." he stopped, raising an eyebrow.

I rested a hand on my hip, the other laying idly by my side softly "I mean that you can't do anything that crosses the line… nothing sexual like running around nude or anything like that, and I don't want you to order me to hurt someone or myself" I stated.

He smirked "Oh? You think I'd go that low? Well of course I won't make you hurt anyone or yourself physically, that would be no fun right?" he said.

I narrowed my eyes; he was up to something, what I didn't know yet. I'd find out though sooner or later.

He stroke his chin and shrugged "deal, shake on it and I'll tell you what I know" he said.

I nodded, reluctantly shaking his hand. Once the deal was made, I immediately got straight to the point "alright, what's going on… is Percy in trouble or something?" she asked.

Kaden seemed to be looking around, as if trying to detect if someone would overhear them "come with me, lets go somewhere more… private," he said, grabbing my wrist softly as he dragged me towards the woods.

Once at a more suitable place, he stopped and released me as he rested his back against the wall "alright, lets get started, here no one will be listening in" he said.

I looked at him confused, but waited. This is what I needed to know, what I needed to hear. Was Percy ok? Was he trying to attempt something alone like an idiot? All these questions ran through my head, nothing else seemed to matter at the moment.

Kaden sighed, "Well as you probably already know, Percy has been acting strange lately… I mean he's usually all over the place, but lately he's been spacing out quite a bit," he said.

I nodded, I had noticed it too, and something was off about the guy.

Kaden scratched his cheek lightly "seeing as how he was so distracted I took the opportunity to pull a little prank on him… course it didn't exact go as I planned… the guy didn't even bat an eyelash when I pranked him" he said.

I blinked "wait you pranked Percy?" I asked, raising a brow.

Kaden laughed a bit awkwardly "ah… yeah I'd rather not talk about it, it wasn't one of my most brilliant plans…" he muttered, his face darkening.

It seemed like he was sulking just thinking about it, think must have gone terribly wrong if Kaden was this against telling her about his prank. So she let it slide, for now.

I waved my hand for him to continue, and so he did "anyways, that failed prank got me interested in what Percy was up to so I dug some dirt on him" he said.

I coughed "e… excuse me? You dug some dirt on him?" I asked.

Kaden nodded, "yeah, I found out that there used to be a camper here, Nico was the guys name. Apparently, when Percy told the guy his sister died the guy summoned skeletons and ran off" he said.

My jaw dropped "WHAT!?" I exclaimed.

Kaden winced "Shhh! I don't want people listening into our conversation blondey!" he screeched.

I huffed "well sorry…" I mumbled.

Kaden sighed, "anyways, it seemed like Percy was really affected by the guys disappearance, but after an incident with the labyrinth they sort of mended their bond broken" he said.

I tilted my head confused "labyrinth?" I asked.

Kaden sighed "it's… kind of a long story, I'll tell you some other time ok? Right now lets focus on what you want to know, information on Percy" he said, slyly avoiding the topic.

I nodded, I'd have to ask someone else about the incident, for now Percy was my number one concern "So what happened after they mended their bond?" I asked.

Kaden pursed his lips "well Nico was offered a place here at the camp, but it seems he rejected the offer… or so everyone thought" he said.

This caught my attention "or so everyone though?" I questioned.

Kaden nodded "well yeah, no ones seen Nico around, not until recently. See I followed Percy last night, I though it was odd that he wasn't going to dinner so I tailed him… and he was meeting with that same guy from before" he explained.

I was very intrigued now, something was happening and I planned to find out what exactly that something was. He had mentioned vaguely seeing Percy with someone yesterday, was this the same guy?

Kaden took my silence as a sign to continue "well see, I didn't want to get too close in case he noticed me, but what I saw was something even I wasn't expecting… I didn't get a close look at the persons face, but Percy had met up with someone last night. Whatever they were talking about was pretty serious, I only caught a few words, but after thinking about it last night I'm still curious as to who Percy had met" he mumbled.

I absorbed all the information given to me, was something happening behind the scenes? Was there something that Percy was trying to hide? Before I could come up with an answer, I heard a sharp gasp of surprised leave Kaden's mouth.

Confused I looked behind him, finding none other then wise girl herself.

Kaden laughed nervously as she held him by the collar of his shirt "O… oh hi Annabeth haha, I… I didn't see you there" he said.

Annabeth smirked "of course you didn't, I made my way over without making a sound" she said.

I just looked at her, how had she gotten there so quickly? I was looking in that direction the whole time and never saw a thing. So how could Annabeth just suddenly pop out of nowehere?

Kaden flailed "s… seriously, this is really uncomfortable please release me" he said, struggling.

Annabeth rolled her eyes "how much did you tell her?" she asked.

Kaden looked at her confused "What? How much did I tell her about what?" he asked innocently.

Her grip tightened as she flicked the others nose, "you know exactly what I mean" she said.

Kaden winced and rubbed his nose, he knew better than to make Annabeth mad, she was a madwomen when angered. He sighed "I only told her a little bit…" he mumbled.

Annabeth raised an eyebrow "a little bit would be?" she asked.

Kaden frowned, "alright! I told her that person met up with someone last night and that Percy was up to something-OUCH!" he yelped, as she released him. He fell backwards, his back smacking against the ground.

Annabeth then turned towards me "so, you got trickster here to talk… what did you offer him in return? We both know he wouldn't give information for free to just anyone" she said.

I pursed my lips, rubbing my arm "I owe him another favor, that's it" I stated.

Annabeth raised a brow, her eyes looking towards Kaden. There seemed to be a gleam in her eyes, as if she knew something that I didn't. I wanted to ask, but Kaden interrupted me…. Again.

Kaden frowned "No fair… you never would have known what we were talking about if you hadn't used that stupid hat of yours-UGH!" he gasped, as she elbowed his stomach after he got up.

She smiled "you were saying?" she asked softly.

Kaden shook his head, "o… oh nothing, I was just making a comment on how the weather seems to be getting crazy" he coughed.

Annabeth nodded, "that's what I thought, anyways Luna I suggest you get back to club activities, I need a word with him" she said, before she dragged him along.

I simply watched, not sure what to think. I was left alone in the woods after that, Percy still on my mind. However, I knew better than to skip out on club activities, so I did as I was told. This conversation was far from over though.

I then ran the archery range, and got my things ready as club activities began.

Kaden's POV:

I didn't really know how to feel, here I was being pulled around like a rag doll. I mean sure, I'm not the strongest demigod around, sure I'm kind of small and short, but that doesn't mean that my pride isn't hurt.

I mean Annabeth was really pulling me along, she must have been upset with him. Otherwise why would she want to speak to him privately? He gulped, as they finally came to a stop. Once he was released, he rubbed his neck gently.

She turned towards him, hands on her hips "care to explain your little stun there?" she asked.

I fiddle my fingers a bit "well I mean, I just felt like she should know what was going on… plus I did get another favor out of it" I said.

Annabeth rolled her eyes "she didn't need to know, Percy is none of her concern after all. We don't need to drag another demi god into this, you're already involved, and I don't want her to be pulled along" she said.

I smiled slyly, so that was it! I rested my back against the tree lightly since it still hurt from the fall before "I see, you don't actually hate Luna do you?" I asked.

Stormy grey eyes found mine, and she seemed un-amused "I never said that, I just don't like her… she's not just some camper, something is different about her" she said.

I studied her, I've known Annabeth for a while, and I knew a lot about her. I don't know why I liked being close to her, I figure it's because she's so entertaining to play with, she's always had the best reaction after all.

I wondered what she meant by something different "what do you mean something different? Like are we talking big three material? Or maybe something else entirely?" I questioned.

She seemed hesitant to answer, Annabeth was always thinking. She was always planning, always watching others to see any details others may have other looked.

She ran a hand through her hair "I don't know… I just know I don't get a good vibe from her, like she's not supposed to be here" she whispered.

I took this information in, and thought about it. I was always clever, I got the information I wanted no matter what it took. Annabeth had caught on to something, something big. I planned to find out what "you felt the same when you first met Percy didn't you?" I concluded.

She looked rather surprised that I came up with that conclusion, and she simply closed her eyes shaking her head "you're right to a certain degree Kaden, but I felt she wasn't big three material, there was something else about it. Something I can't quite put my finger on, I just know she's not a daughter of Apollo…"

I sighed this was quite vexing. I wanted to know even more as to what parent Luna had, but even that was still a mystery. I guess I understood Luna to a certain extent, I wanted to know who my parent was as well.

I mean was it so hard for them to send a post card, or play a prank on him and tell him they were actually his parent? I hold some resentment for that, but I knew better than to ever mention this in front of Annabeth. Besides, she was the only one I actually liked to talk to. All the other girls creeped me out with their cuddling and cutesy acts.

I shivered at the mere thought of it all, and that's when I noticed Annabeth studying me again. I smirked "see something you like?" I joked.

Annabeth's cheeks turned a slight pink hue, and she crossed her arms "In your dreams, you just looked like you were deep in thought was all" she said.

I laughed softly, how amusing. I'd have to remember that face for another time.

It was then that Annabeth turned a bit serious and I stopped chuckling and turned my attention towards her.

Annabeth shifted from one foot to the other "I checked on Percy this morning, and he's gone" she said.

I blinked "He's gone? What do you mean he's gone!?" I questioned.

Annabeth just rolled her eyes, "I mean he's not at the camp, I don't know what you possessed him to leave… but it has be due to who he met with last night" she said.

I nodded, that would make the most sense. Percy was pretty serious last night, whoever he was with last night has to be who he's was with now, it was the only logical explanation. I thought about it "hey… whatever happened to that Nico guy?" I asked.

Annabeth blinked, her skin paling "how do you know about Nico" she questioned.

I gulped "well… I may or may not have tried to look into Percy's past, and found out about how he left the camp…." I whispered.

Annabeth grabbed my collar (Again), and shoved my already aching back further into the tree "You did what!?" she snapped.

I laughed awkwardly "I was curious ok! He was acting weird, and it all happened after Percy left camp that one time for a mission…" he chocked.

She released him, rubbing her temples "you didn't tell Luna about him did you… you did didn't you?" she said.

I nodded, rubbing my neck "I told her because it was a big piece of Percy's past…" he muttered.

However, when I turned to face Annabeth again, it seemed the gears in her head were spinning. She seemed to have made a huge realization "That's it… why didn't I connect the dots sooner!" she exclaimed.

She turned, rushing out of the forest. I jumped and ran after her "hey! Wait what do you mean you should have connected the dots sooner?" I yelled.

She stopped and faced me "Nico, the person Percy me last night was Nico!" she said, as if it was obvious.

My mouth made a 'O' shape as the words left her smooth pink lips. Of course, why hadn't I thought of that!

Percy's POV:

I felt bad leaving camp without telling anyone. Surely Annabeth or Luna would find out he was gone. Maybe he should have told them what was up? He shook his head, no no no, that wouldn't do. If they knew what he was about to do, they would surely try and stop him.

Nico strolled next to me, looking me over. He seemed to notice my internal conflict, and even made a comment about it "You made the right choice Percy, if they knew what you were about to do, they'd try and stop you" he said.

I knew he was right, but some part of me really didn't want to do this. However, the other part knew this was necessary.

Nico had come to visit me on my birthday, I had invited in inside, after all it was only polite to do so. However, it seemed that he had been there for more than just wishing me a happy birthday.

Percy was surprised by his idea, and at first Percy was against it. He didn't want to do something so insane, the chances of Nico's plan actually working were slim to none.

However, recent events changed his mind as quickly as he had rejected the idea. Kronos was getting stronger, and Luke was gathering his forces. If they didn't do something soon, if they didn't stop the titans armies, there would be no more camp, no more New York, no more Mount Olympus.

Everything was riding on the success of Nico's stupid plan… and I hated it. I hated all this secrecy, and I hated not being able to tell Luna or Annabeth. Surly they would think of this as a betrayal to their trust.

Nico sighed, stuffing his hands into his pockets, "stop beating yourself over it, you look like a child trying to decide whether or not he should get a green car or a red one" he said.

I glared "really Nico? You're not helping…" I muttered.

Nico smirked "I know, who said I was trying to help?" he said.

My eyebrow twitched "oh right, should have known that" I said, throwing my hands up.

Nico shrugged "hey I'm not going to baby you, man up" he commented.

Percy sighed "I just can't win with you" I said.

After our small bickering ended, we came out into a clearing. By now, camp activities would be starting up, and his presence would surely by noticed as missing by a few people.

Nico looked at him "are you ready?" he asked, lifting his pale hand up.

I pursed my lips "I don't honestly think I'll ever be ready… but it's now or never" I said.

Nico nodded "Good, because this may not be as pleasant of a trip as you would like to think" he said.

I nodded, Nico had filled him in on the whole shadow travel ability. I certainly wasn't going to mark this as the best day of my life that was for sure.

Nico turned his head away from him, as he held out his other hand "Hold on, I don't want to lose you when we go through" he whispered.

I nodded and griped his hand tightly, Nico's hand was actually a lot warmer than he originally thought it would be.

Nico blushed lightly "well, now or never" he said, looking at me.

I smiled weakly "Now or never" I said, as we both jumped into the shadows.

What felt like ages, was actually only a few minutes. Black. Pitch black was all I saw. I could feel Nico's hand in mine, so that meant we hadn't been separated yet. That was good right? An icy chill ran through my body, it was cold, so cold.

I felt my fingers slipping, one by one, as they slipped from Nico's. However, just when I thought I was going to let it go, Nico took a firm hold of my wrist "don't give in, we're almost there" his voice said.

I nodded, and just as he said that, we had arrived at a destination. I fell forwards, as Nico released my wrist. I yelped, dirt meeting my face.

Nico winced "sorry... I didn't mean that" he panted. He looked rather pale, was it because of the shadow travel? I opened my mouth to ask, but he answered for me.

Nico waved his hand "Just... need a sec, shadow travel takes a lot of energy, especially when transporting more than one person" he explained.

I got back up, and noticed that we weren't exactly in California, far from it. I looked towards Nico for an explanation, and again he gave me one "sorry... like I said, it takes a lot of energy... One more jump and we'll be there, just give me some time" he repeated.

I nodded, I wasn't in any rush anyways. I didn't mind if we waited a long time to leave, at least it would give me time to think.

After resting, Nico tapped my shoulder, letting me know that it was time to go. I stood, and we repeated the same steps as before.

This time we landed at the entrance of the underworld, Nico panting even more heavily than before "you ok?" I asked.

Nico looked at him weakly, but nodded "Give me 10 minutes, and then we'll go in" he said.

I nodded, it was almost time, I took a deep breath as my eyes stared at the entrance.

Now or never right?

Aright that's it for now, I hope that the length wasn't too short, I tried to make it longer for you guys. Comments help, so please let me what you guys think!
