A/N:Hey here is the next chapter. I kept you guys waiting for nearly a year. I figure I can get the rest out now.
They had all talked for hours. Emily and Sam had caught her up on everything that had been going on in school. It seemed like every one was worried if Derek would make it through. It didn't seem to be that way for Casey. People felt bad that she was injured but the person everyone focused on was Derek. She understood he was one of the most popular students in school, everyone had to be going through the loss of Derek. Casey wouldn't be going back to school for another week or so. Her mom wanted to make sure everything was okay before she went to the stress of everything else. She was hoping people would forget she was out soon enough. She didn't want to go through everyone looking at her and questioning her. Three hours had passed and Emily and Sam were getting ready to leave. Casey was glad that they had come over to see her.
"Well Casey, me and Emily should get going and let you get your rest. We'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye Sam I'll see you later Emily."
"Bye Casey. I'm so happy you're home now."
Sam and Emily left and Casey went to her room. When she walked in she felt like she hadn't been there for years. When she got to her bed and laid down, she fell alseep right away. She didn't realize how exhausted she was until her head hit the pillow. It was also nice because she was finally in familiar surroundings and not in a scary place that smelled. Casey was looking forward to seeing Derek, she wanted to tell him all about hanging out with Sam and Emily and what the kids at school were saying. It seemed like hours had passed by and she still hadn't seen Derek. Casey didn't understand. She figured she was doing something wrong. When she never saw Derek she began to lose hope and then the next thing she knew she was back in the future again. She knew she promised but it was too hard for her right now to keep the promise. She woke up to find herself in Derek's arms.
"Oh my gosh! Derek!"
"Yeah Case, what's wrong?"
"Derek, why didn't you come when I was asleep?"
"Cause Casey when I was in the dream state it was because I was getting better but when you woke up it seems like I slipped back into my coma more. I fought so hard to see you again. Wait! Case why are you here?"
Derek didn't get why Casey would be back in this dream world. She should be in the real world living out everything. Derek was worried something bad had happened. He didn't need Casey to be going through this horrible thing again. It was hard to wrap your head around what was going on but in a way once you knew it was nice to be able to have a thing to fight against. Casey couldn't figure out how she got back into the dream world. She did enjoy being back with Derek again. Casey saw this as being able to get what they both wanted. To be together and share in this family that both of them want. Derek knew he had to get down to the bottom of why Casey was back here again.
"I'm not sure I was in my room sleeping. I had finally gotten to sleep after Emily and Sam left and I was waiting for you and when you didn't come I just kind of gave up and the next thing I know I was here in your arms."
"No! Casey you went back into a coma again! I'm not going to let this happen."
"Derek! I refuse to be in the real world without you! No matter how hard you try, I'm not leaving!"
"Case, listen to me. God choose for me to be in a coma and you out there I know it is going to be hard but trust me. I know you can get through this. Now will you be the brave girl I fell in love with?"
"Can I stay a little longer?"
"No I don't want someone to find you and you to go back to the hospital. You don't deserve to be in the hospital."
Casey didn't understand why he felt like he deserved to be in a hospital. No one deserved to be in there. If he had to suffer she should too. The look in his eyes was all she needed to know that she was not going to win this fight. She had won plenty of fights over there few years together but she knew that this would not happen tonight. She knew from when he made her wake up that he could control what she did. She didn't like Derek having the control but it seemed like this time he knew what was best for her.
"And you deserve to be in the hospital?"
"Yes because my being here is because of my stupidness. You were here because someone was being a showoff."
"Derek how long for do you think it will be until you come back?"
"I'm not sure but until I get back I will take care of our kids."
"Oh no! I can't leave my kids behind."
"Case, this world changes all the time. It plays off what God wants."
"So what is that supposed to mean?"
"Case it means that you have been erased from this world and soon I will be too. Then when I get back this world can come true."
Derek had to find the one thing that would make her believe him. He didn't need her here, she needed to be on the outside. This world was changing every second. It wasn't like this was the real world they were even supposed to be in. The world they needed was in a few years when they could have these children. Now that Derek knew what kind of team Casey and he made he didn't want to lose it. He only wished he realized it sooner so that they could have gained more from it.
