"I'm sorry," he chuckled, "I thought you said you're were pregnant."
"I might be."
"Are you joking?"
"Yes, Marshall. I love getting captured and sitting here for hours at a time just to make jokes about my being."
"Men can't get pregnant!"
"Lot's of people can't get pregnant. Being a man has nothing to do with it."
"Exactly. It shouldn't have anything to do with it in the first place."
"Says who?"
"Say the damn thing that's hanging between your legs and your invisible ovaries. How the fuck can you be pregnant!"
"I'm a scientist jackass, or did you forget that little tidbit while you were gone. I've created a drug to help people who can't get pregnant."
"Oh, and you just figured why not a man. Men weren't supposed to get pregnant in the first place."
"Says who, the narrow minded jackass with a stick so far in his ass it's a wonder he's sitting down. It worked for my cat, but hasn't work for anything else. So, I tested it on myself. I don't even know why your pissed. I'm not even sure and there's a possibility that the drug didn't even work. For all we know, your father might want to get his hands on the drug itself and create yuppies."
"My father's old, but I'm pretty sure his dick hasn't fallen off."
I can't help but to snort at the grimace that appears on his face.
"If he wanted another heir, he could have found any bitch out there and reproduce like a normal person."
"So, why doesn't he."
"Why are you trying to change the subject!"
"Why are you?"
"Everything isn't about you, princess."
"Stop calling me princess, I'm not a girl," I glared. "And, if you think this has nothing to do about me, you're fucking dumber than I thought."
"You could have fooled me. For all I know your running on hormones. This wouldn't have happened if you never created that drug in the first place. You sure act stupid for a fucking genius."
"Your one to talk. Where the fuck do you get off on trying to put the blame on me. If this is anyone's fault it's yours. If you would actually stand up to your father and be a man, this wouldn't even be happening. Grow some fucking balls Marshall and stop being a coward."
My breathing stuttered as I heard the chains crack. One moment he was roughly pulling on his confinements and the next moment he was in my face. My breath caught as he pushed me towards the wall. His hands rough as he gripped my chin firmly towards him. His eyes were wide and crazed as he gritted his teeth.
"Don't you ever call me a fucking coward. I did a lot for you baby, and it was nothing a coward would of done."
"Fuck you, bringing up past isn't going to save you Marshall."
"Oh, you mean how you bring up the past," his voice calm as his eyes turned a deep shape of red. "You think bringing up the past is going to change that I fucking left, or that we're in this situation right now. Newsflash, sweetheart. It wouldn't change a damn thing. It was going to happen sooner or later and you're the reason."
My eyes started to blur as his nails began to dug into my skin. The sharp pain had me gritting my teeth as my breathing became heavier.
"You're the reason we're in this mess sooner than later. If you didn't act so stupid all the time you would see that."
A gasp escapes my lips as he shoves me harder into the wall causing head to bounce back hard and ridge points to pierce my flesh.
"Who the fuck are calling stupid? I am not stupid. Never had been, never will be," I growled, tears streaming down my face freely now. He didn't bulge as I hit him across his chest. "I thought you said this wasn't about me. So why the fuck are you blaming me, huh? I didn't bring you here. I didn't ask you to come back," I yelled as I pushed him away. This time he seemed to stumble as his hands loosen from my face. I shoved him harder and yelp when I hit the ground. Quickly scrabbling away, I moved near the front of the cell. "I didn't ask to be here!"
My legs kept moving as he neared me, before my back struck the metal gate. I couldn't help but to curl in on myself as he got closer. I hissed in pain as my ass met the floor. Before Marshall could even touch me, I had somehow manage to get out of the cell. The bars blazed a startling blue as he near the poles. They began to spike and spin rapidly causing him to step back.
"What did you do?"
"Stop blaming me!"
I choked on a sob as a gust of hot wind blew in my face. Wetness trailing thickly down my cheeks as I hold in a breath. My eyes wide as my heart strums on overload. It feels as it's about to fall out of my chest, and has me wishing I was still inside the safety of the cage.
"Run."
My feet are stuck and my body seems to be paralyzed. From the corner of my eyes, sharp teeth invades my vision as well as a staggering tongue.
"Run!" he yells just as the creature releases something that sounds animalistic, yet slightly human. It course threw my bones and has me moving just before it's teeth can clamp around my head.
I let out a sob as it's teeth grazes my shoulder. The pain burning something farce. I quicken my pace down the dirt path. The ground shook behind me and only grew louder the closer it got. Wiping the sweat from my face, I turned the corner. The path was barely lit by the candle lights; there were hardly enough to lit the rest of the path.
My screams echo against wall as I felt debris hit my back. The impact had me tripping over my feet causing me to steady myself on the stone wall as I tried to keep my legs moving. I was halfway across the hall when I made mistake of looking back.
My breath caught as I bump into what felt like a wall. It felt like my chest was on fire as I stared at the creature before me. It's spiked tail waves so fast, it hits the wall with enough force to break. My body stiffened as it's tongue near my face.
A sudden force pulled me back just as the creature advance. I yelped as the hell's demon ran straight towards me. A loud crack sounded as a red shield vibrated loudly causing the demon to stumble back. It's growl was loud as it redoubled it's efforts.
I jumped while swinging my fist behind me. My eyes grew wide as my eyes met Pepper's. His red hair was slicked back as sweat dripped from his forehead, running onto his neck. He held my fist tightly in his hands as he stared at me before looking behind me.
"We don't have much time. We must go."
"What the hell did you think I was doing? Playing catch?"
His stare was unamused as he helps me to my feet. With a rough grip, he pulled me with him as he began to run to the end of the corridor. Making a sharp turn, he hurried down another long hallway. His hands moved quickly as he drew blood before creating a circle against the stone wall. His words were barely a whisper as they fell from his lips.
The sound of glass shattering followed by loud thumping echoed through the halls. My heart stuttered as a portal slowly began to form as the demon's painful howls grew closer. The strain of my stare was making my eyes burn as I watched the end of the hall. The whole place felt as if it was on vibrate as the walls begun to shake with so much force that a small stone fell from various parts of the ceiling.
It's tail flashed before the demon even came in view. It was slicked in blood and seem to have loss one of it's horns only for another to takes it place; the angle odd. My eyes closed on their own accord at the feeling of my stomach being pulled a part over and over. The creature was the last thing I saw as I watched the portal shut before flashing outside my house.
Inhaling deeply, I manage to rise to my feet. I shudder from the cold as rain soaked my skin. Goosebumps covered my body as I made it inside. My mind was at a standstill. I didn't know weather I should think about Raini's wellbeing, Marshall, or mine. It felt like too much at once and I was honestly hoping that this was just some sick twisted nightmare.
Closing my eyes, I tried to steady my breathing. My body caving in on itself as I took shallow breaths. I jumped at the feeling of something soft on my skin. Realizing it was a blanket, I turn my attention towards Pepper.
"What were you doing there?"
His stare was blank as he pointed towards the door. On edge of the wall stood a bright red axe.
"It took sometime to find out about it whereabouts, but I've manage to attain it."
"You mean it was loss."
"No, just in the wrong hands. Lucky for Mars, I have eyes everywhere." His smile was malicious and seemed out of place on his porcelain face.
"I don't understand what's his axe has to do with your being there."
"Everything."
"You're avoiding the question."
"No, my prince, you just didn't like the answer. I search for Fionna's sword as well if that helps. Unfortunately for her she might need to find a new one." His eyes pierced me stronger than dagger. "So, what are you going to do?"
"What do you mean?"
"Everyone you love is stuck in hell against their free will. I'm not sure how long Ms. Cornelius has. And there isn't no guarantee whether Mars can do this alone."
"You have eyes everywhere, so tell me, where should I start."
"Possibly with your self. Make sure the baby is okay."
The silence was loud. I wasn't sure how to respond to that.
