Hello everyone. I'm back again with another Chapter. Henry is returning from his repair in Crewe and soon Toby will make his first appearance in my story.
Also how do you liked my version of Cecil 's past in the Second World War.
Anyway I'm going to introduce someone new to the series who didn't appeared in the TV series.
Chapter 14
Henry's Return
2018
"...how long was Henry in the Works at Crewe." Nia asked Edward after the two engines told the new ones about the delivery to Crewe.
"A month and a few days. I had to do his goods work again in that time." Marco huffed.
"Aw come on. So bad it couldn't be. After all you are Pretty Strong. But do I expect from an engine vho vas the first of a Series of Successful steam engines." Frieda flirted again with the Class 01 which made him blush again.
"Well...back to the story. Henry's return wasn't the only good thing that happened in January 1950. The Skarloey Railway became a new engine for heavy goods work." Marco said a bit flattered from Frieda's words.
10th of January 1950
I was staying at Knapford Station on a siding as I heard suddenly a familiar Whistle. I looked behind me and saw a green Black 5 Steam Engine." No frickin' Way. Henry is that you old boy." I said exited.
"Yep. I'm back Marco. The workmen fixed me faster than expected. And don't worry, my firebox is better then before and they didn't forget about my brakes. They say you Germans are very productive but we Britains are a reliable source too." He chuckled.
"Well now that you are back you can take your goods train that Percy had arranged already. And I have the time to go to Knapford Harbor and deliver the surprise to the Skarloey Railway." I said relieved.
"What kind of special do you mean." The green tender engine asked curiously.
"The Fat Controller didn't told me. But I better go now. The ship is coming in 15 minutes." I peeped happily and went to the harbor.
When I was there Amethyst had delivered her daily load of stones from the Anopha Quarry." Mornin' Amy." I greeted her.
"Oh. Morning Marc. Shouldn't ya take a train to Barrow right now." The purple Tank engine asked suspiciously.
"Nah. Ol' Henry is back and he takes it to the Mainland." I answered.
"Welp. Then I guess I don't have to take the new engine instead of ya." Amethyst said lazily and yawned again. Unfortunately she spoiled the surprise.
"Wait. What new engine." I asked astonished.
"That one over there." She huffed and pointed (if she had hands) to a flatbed with a Narrow gauge Pannier Tank engine painted in red on a flatbed." I think he said his name is Stanley or Stanford. I didn't really listened to him."
"Well. Then I better deliver him to Crovans Gate. See ya Amy." I peeped and went to the new engine.
"See ya Marc." She answered and started to shunt her train into a siding.
"Hey. Are you the new Narrow gauge engine for the Skarloey Railway." I asked the red engine as I arrived.
"Sure my fella. Stanley is ma name and pullin' Trucks Is ma game." He answered
"Well. I'm Marco and I'll take you to Crovans Gate where you will put on the Narrow Gauge tracks of the Skarloey Railway." I explained.
"Sounds swell Marco-boy." Stanley smiled and I went off to my destination.
After 30 Minutes I arrived there where Skarloey and Peter Sam greeted me." Hey there Marco. What brings you today here boyo." The red number one asked me.
"Well, Sir Topham and the Director of your railway Jonathan Star agreed that you need a engine for the heavy goods work." I explained and rolled a bit forwards to show them Stanley who was behind me.
"Afternoon guys. The name is Stanley." He greeted them.
"Hello Stanley. I'm Skarloey and that's Peter Sam. Welcome to the Skarloey Railway. I guess you will be the one who will work in a few years in the BMQ." Skarloey said to him.
"Sounds good...but what's the BMQ." The pannier tank engine asked.
"Well. It's the Blue Mountain Quarry of course." The green number 4 answered." It will be open for business in March 1951."
"Sounds good. Anything I also should know about this railway." Stanley wanted to know.
"Well actually all engines here are rather nice...except for Duncan and Sir Handel who are mostly a pain in the arse if they have bad mood." Skarloey said and his smile faded a bit.
"For Duncan that means all the time. He is constantly enraged about something." Peter Sam said unhappy.
"I better warn you Stanley. He's Scottish. Very Scottish." I joked and had to chuckle. The other two had to laugh too.
"Well. Then what are we waiting for. Lift me on the track and keep this railway running." The red pannier said. And exactly that happened within the next five minutes.
"Well then. Thanks again Marco-boy for the ride. Hope I see ya again sometime." Stanley said and drove away. I had to smile a bit. He seemed like a really nice engine. He would also have the one or other adventure in the following weeks. But that folks, is a story for another time.
