HEY GUYS! I'm back, sorry it took so long but I wanted to update at least all of my stories some time this week! Enjoy...!
Sirens were blaring and lights were flashing a bright red in the dead of the night. It was alerting Sound and its inhabitants that there was danger right outside the walls whether it be an enemy or a fire or anything of the sort. Shinobi were the first to get into action identifying the threat as a wild fire. Sound had a system in place for code reds, there were two shinobi assigned to every household. Those two shinobi were in charge of protecting the house's inhabitants. The left over shinobi spread themselves out over the village while selected shinobi took on the threat head first.
The Konoha shinobi were totally lost, being just guests they had no idea where they fit into the system, so the followed Sakura, who headed to the fire's location with eleven other water shinobi of sound.
"LISTEN UP!" Sakura commanded "THIS IS A CODE RED 1540! You'll know what to do. "she then turned to the Konoha nin "You guys stand back."
The look of shock on the Konoha-Nin's faces were priceless but Sakura didn't have time to enjoy it. The twelve Sound Shinobi lined up horizontally, facing the raging fire. It was a towering wall, taller than any man or woman by a lot, of orange and blue, devouring everything in its path. It was hungry and it was heading straight for Sound.
The lined up shinobi took an athletic stance and all made the same hand symbols, simultaneously. Water swirled up from the ground forming a wall of water to match the fire wall. With another symbol the water shot forward at the fire wall creating steam. Again and again they created a wall of water and it shot towards the fire.
The Konoha-Nin stared in amazement at how synchronized they were and how together they were like one, battling the fire. It took them a little over an hour to stop the fire and put it out completely. Then they looked out over their land, it was completely burned to a crisp where the fire had rolled over. Slowly one by one, the civilians came out to the same sight. All the greenery was gone, the mountains burned black.
"At least our village is still standing." One of the elders whispered "We should be grateful for that." But no one acknowledged what she had said, everyone was staring at the fallen baby bird, stranded, now without a home.
Sakura the Otokage gently walked over to it as to not scare it. She bent down and with one finger, pet the little birdies head to calm him down. Then she put her hands together in the tiger symbol, and from the ground rose a green vine. Sakura placed the bird on the vine and he nestled into it.
Sakura rose and everyone went silent, watching her intently. Sakura rose her hands and greenery went with it. She only stopped once the entire village was surrounded by a moat of greenery.
THAT NIGHT-LABORATORY
Jane was just a tad bit intimidated, after all she was totally alone with the Otokage and she was actually interested in her work! Jane couldn't help but look her leader up and down, it was the first time she was seeing her, without a cloak. She was beautiful, he cheekbones were high and seemed to glow, but not as brightly as her pink cherry blossom hair. And those eyes! They were beautiful and intense and….-Jane's thoughts were interrupted when Sakura coughed, acknowledging that she had realized Jane was checking her out. Jane blushed brighter than Sakura's hair.
"You were saying something about the fire." Sakura prompted
"Oh yes right of course mhm yes! Uh you see" Sakura did see, Jane (one of the sound scientists) had discovered something about the fire wall, something unusual "the fire wall had a bit of chakra laced in it, smaller than an ounce which is why you couldn't sense it."
"Couldn't it have picked up the chakra from the plants it burned?" Sakura asked
"Not exactly, it could have gained energy which is why it was so powerful, but this chakra is from a shinobi, it's almost like a tracker."
"Huh, can we trace it back to whoever was tracking it?" Sakura asked Jane, who was still sneaking glances at Sakura, who decided to save Jane from the embarrassment and not acknowledge that she could tell.
"It's possible but I don't have good enough chakra control to do so."
"You need a medic?" Sakura asked
"Yes. A medic could do it." Jane said
"Then let's get started." Sakura said, Jane just looked at Sakura blankly for a minute, and sakura raised an eyebrow at her "Have you forgotten that I am indeed a medic?"
Jane gasped "Oh no ma'am! Of course not! Yes uh let's get started." Jane berated herself 'stupid, stupid, stupid me! How could I have forgotten that she's a world renown medic! There goes any chance of mine.'
"Very well, what do we need to do?"
