The tangy chill
Of a sea breeze,
brushes the
Glassy ocean.
So peaceful,
Laced with
Gentle waves.
But there are
No birds
Jumping on the
Flossy clouds.

Feathers the air.
A shrill sound
Slits the
Calm before
The storm.
The tide wavers,
Then slips
Away
From beneath
Your feet.
And charges back
At you,
No regrets,
