14. Living for Another Day

"What is it?"

"Can't you tell?"

"Rings."

"Yes, they are."

"And why are you giving it to me?"

"Well, isn't that obvious? I want to marry you."

"But… Marriage isn't allowed between two men."

"I know, I know, but it doesn't matter whether we have a piece of paper for it. In my heart, you're the only one I want to be around and to spend the rest of eternity with, Tres. I love you. And even if I can't make you my husband officially, I want us to wear these rings as a symbol of the union between us. If you'll have me, of course…"

"Yes, I will."

"Then allow me to put this one on your finger… There, beautiful, isn't it?"

"It fits very well. Shall I put the other one on your hand now?"

"That would be nice. Ahhhh, so pretty!"

"Abel…?"

"Yes?"

"Do you ever regret leaving Vatican?"

"No. Not even once. You do?"

"No. I thought I would, but in the eight months that we have been here, I have not looked back. I only wish we could stay like this, together."

"I'm really glad to hear that, Tres. I must say I was a little worried that you may start wishing to go back. But since we left, I noticed many changes in you. And good changes at that. You are more human than the humans themselves. And I love everything about you."

"Abel…?"

"Yes?"

"Now that we are married…"

"Yes?"

"You want to… I mean… You said before and I said…"

"Tres! Are you blushing now?"

"No. Maybe."

"What did you want to say?"

"Um, that."

"Huh?"

"Well, that. We discussed it before… And I said that … after marriage only…?

"You mean sex?"

"…"

"Oh dear Lord, you're really getting red now!"

"Please do not make fun of me, Abel."

"I'm sorry, Tres, you just keep surprising me, that's all. So… You want to learn that now?"

"Not right now, it is still day."

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"It's day. Isn't that supposed to take place during night?"

"Tres, look around you, this is ancient Athens! They are having sex in the streets in the middle of the day! Well, not in the streets, usually, but you get my point."

"…"

"Okay, okay, I get it. Night it is. How about we start with a bath together after dinner?"

"Yes. We can do that."

"Great! I'll prepare everything, you just remember to relax. This is gonna be such a great night!"

"Why are you singing?"

"Because I am really happy."

"That was…"

"Yes? Are you alright, Tres?"

"I… I do not know how to answer to that."

"Hihi. Did it feel good?"

"… Yes."

"So we can repeat it?"

"Yes."

"Oh, no, not right now, silly. Well, maybe. Hihi. But really, you're okay?"

"Yes, I am. Abel?"

"Can I just hold you like this till morning?"

"Is that not uncomfortable for you?"

"Having you sleep in my arms? There's definitely nothing uncomfortable about that!"

"Then you can."

"Tres…?"

"Yes?"

"You kissed me right now…"

"Yes, I did."

"Is that a good night kiss?"

"No. It is I love you kiss."

"Huh?"

"I love you, Abel Nightroad. I always want to be by your side."

"And you always will be. I promise. I'll never leave your side again."

"Good. Because if you tried, I would have to chain you to myself."

"Chains, huh? Hehe. I had no idea you were into that, Tres!"

"What do you mean? Why are you grinning like that? Abel! You are thinking something dirty again! What are you doing? Hey! Stop that! You said not right now… Oh… Oh, alright… Abel, I love you."

"I love you too, Tres."

THE END

Hello everybody! And so we are finally arrived to the end of the story. :-( I am almost sad to finish it, but it's time for me to move on to some of my opened projects. Sorry for the shortness of this chapter and the lack of proper lemons, but well, writing in dialogs was a first for me and as much fun as it was, it was also pretty damn hard (I had to rewrite quite few parts to get them right - or at least the way I liked).

Thank you ever so much for all your reviews and support. It's one of the biggest thing that kept me writing so many chapters. Honestly, this was supposed to be five-chapters-top kind of story. I hope you had a good time reading this. Please leave more reviews and check my other stories (there's one even finished!). :-P
