2 months of no activity. Does anyone still read this? I do apologized that this ending took so long. Maybe I lost passion to write. Oh i'm sure i will come back to it. But there's many things happening to my life. For all those still following. I will try to upload new one shot stories. And for the remainder stories I may put them on permanent hiatus. I apologize for those who wished to see more of Odyssey of vanitas the lion. But I can't maintain it anymore. I hope you all have a great year following this story. I probably would have stop this myself at the 6th chapter. But man this has been a great year for me. Can't wait to see what the future holds for us all.

Fatherhood days chapter 8

Day 7 (final day)

"Dad, Sora sleeping on me."

"We're almost to Denny's. Just let your brother sleeps a bit more." First thing in the morning, Van decided it was better to get out of the house ASAP while Aqua and Terra worked on decorating their living room. Good suggestion, but horrible execution. Sneaking out the front door with two children would be easily done until they struggled while sleeping. Yes, both Sora and Roxas would jerked their arms and legs. Roxas nearly fell from Vanitas' grasp.

"Whoa!" Screeching brakes and g force woke up Sora.

"Grab us a seat, I'll be in after a call."

Ventus and the kids got of the car and into Denny's. Frantically digging into his pockets to find his Samsung Galaxy phone. He texted Zack the instructions:

[Vanikickass]: Are you awake, Zack?

[Zuperzackypuppy]: wtf is wrong with you, its 6:50am

[Vanikickass]: Really? I thought it was your period because you're whining like a bitch.

[Zuperzackypuppy]: well then knock me up for once. You know sex makes me happy xD

[Vanikickass]: I'm not here to play gay chicken with you, man

[Zuperzackypuppy]: Hello, you passed gay a long time ago, man. You're fucking a blonde boy!

[Vanikickass]: point taken. Now can you get in contact with everyone to meet to our house by 7pm. Distracting sons til then.

[Zuperzackypuppy]: Lolz good luck daddies…

[Vanikickass]: FML with a dildo.

The ebony parent searched for his family sitting at the window table that overlooked the roadside. They already had some colouring books and mazes to keep Roxas and Sora occupied. Ven ordered himself a glass of orange juice and a black coffee with two sugar packs and vanilla flavour cream for his spouse.

"Daddy, look… I drew you and dad wrestling." Ven's eye twitched erratically. Vanitas took a look at his son's drawing to see they were wrestling in bed. He patted Sora's head.

"Take a look at us ARMMM… wrestling." Ven was not amused. He looked like all feelings got flushed away.

The waitress served up the family special: 3 stacks of flapjacks, scrambled eggs and bacon. Roxas and Sora were scooping their plates and munching like bunnies. A cute yet messy sight to see. Ventus still gave Vanitas the dirty glare. Vanitas knew one thing to fix Ventus sour mood. The scheming seme waited for Ventus to stand up reaching for his breakfast platter. In an instant, firm hands groped Ven's left cheek and he fought the urges to usher a sensual moan.

"..ah..hnng.."

Blushing a rosy colour, Ventus sat and ate in silence while Vanitas just stares him down. "Daddy, did dad do something bad?" Sora asked.

"I'll tell you when you get older, son." Vani left Sora with a puzzling answer.

Halfway through the meal, Ven's Iphone 5 dinged.

[Azuremaster]: Ven, it's a disaster!

[Skyblueblonde]: What?

[Azuremaster]: I burnt the cake, the alarms went off, and I forgot my charger at home.

Ven's lookalike son tugged on his hand, "dad, can I play with that". Ven frantically replied with

[Skyblueblonde]: Use my charger. We both use iphones. G2G.

Roxas haven't use an iphone before, yet develop uncanny expertise for a youngster. Ven look to the side to see Sora taking picture with Vanitas' Samsung Galaxy phone.

"Here's the bill", the sweet waitress gave them a smile and offered free pretzel bites.

Still around eleven am, Ven suggested they walk by the nearby pet store. Vanitas followed after re parking closer to the pet store lot. Sora rushed straight for the puppies while Roxas was content gazing at the fish tank. Sora mimicked the puppies jumping for joy. Ventus had his hands full with Sora, failing to see Roxas was leaning to close to the large aquarium.

"Ah! DADDY!" Vanitas caught the mischievous blonde before he scooped the koi fishes from the tank.

Vanitas held his son upside down firmly, but with a humor to his face, "Is Roxas trying to steal from the nice pet store?" His son couldn't hold in his laughter and giggled up a storm.

"teehha HAhaahah daddy! I-I gotta g-". The laughing stops as Roxas pant and shirt began to darken from the stain of urine. Ventus pointed for the extra set of clothes in the trunk of the car. Van and Roxas went together to change in the privacy of the family car. Ventus held Sora in a proper support position.

He climbed up to his dad's ear, "where do puppies come from?"

Ventus stopped his breathing, not another baby question. Why do I get all the icky jobs? Sora still waiting patiently for his sapphire parent to respond. Ven grinned, "They come from the magical egg and sperm of the fairy dogs. And they are invisible and shy. If we look for them, a puppy won't be born."

A lump formed on ventus lying throat, what child would believe in fairy dogs and magical egg. Oh my god, just kill me now!

Sora gave a puzzled look, "so the fairies grant wishes?" Ven nodded and walked out the pet store hoping Vanitas could save him from more horrible false tales. "Then can the fairy grant my wish for us to stay together forever?"

Ven just skipped a beat. It was an epiphany realizing how much Sora and Roxas would be devastated from the separation between time and space. This week was the toughest tribulations for the young couple. They were unprepared for parenthood. At times, Ventus wanted to breakdown and cry from being overwhelm with all the new responsibility. But looking at Sora, it was the best week of my life.

"Close your eyes and make the wish in your heart. But don't say it out loud or the wish won't happen." Roxas and Vanitas looked so weary inside the car.

"Ven, we can head home now."

Ventus took the wheel this time as Roxas and Sora slept on top of Vanitas as he cradled them. "Who would have believed you turned out to be a great father", Ventus suggested.

Vanitas winked back, "These kids are giving me a better workout than Tifa's training." Ventus pulled into the sidewalk. Their driveway blocked by several cars. It was like a small family reunion. Ventus' family, Vanitas' family of Zack and Tifa, even Ventus favorite mentor, Eraqus, showed up.

Everyone shouted "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" it jolted Sora and Roxas to life. Everyone went into the living room to offer presents and warm wishes.

"Sora, Roxas… here's some colouring books and markers." Their aunt Namine was looking very festive for the occasion with a frilly black and white skirt while keeping her yellow blouse.

Tifa walked to them and gave them noogies. "My present to you guys: unlimited training from an elite martial artist. Just gotta help clean, okay? "Her ruby eyes winked at the kids. Vanitas rolled his eyes realizing it was the same bit she gave him years ago. But he was glad she was willing to take them as new disciples.

Zack gifted them twp passes to Splash Mountain with no expiry. Cloud and Rikku had twin sailor suits for the boys. Aqua and Terra showed up with their gift in the kitchen. It was a tower cake of Disney character and a key that looked like a blade at the top. "Did you really make that , Aqua?" Vanitas whispered.

Aqua had her hands to her waist and chuckled, "nothing is impossible for me!"

Terra whispered the truth, "she gave up and spent 200 on this cake she found at Yen Sid's bakery."

Nine o'clock chimed in. Ven and Van thanked everyone for coming and waved goodbye. Vanitas got the boys into the bathtub while Ventus wrapped up the gifts and cleaned up the placed quickly. A blue glow hovered over the kitchen. The glow sudden radiated a cosmic glow blinding Ventus. A silver chrome egg shaped device laid where he stands. It must have been the time machine. Ven rushed over to Vanitas. Van stopped his lover's mouth. The boys were sleeping already in their pjs. Van picked up Sora and Ven followed behind with Roxas. They paused looking at the miracle of life sleeping blissfully unaware.

"Ven, do they really have to leave us?" Vanitas pondered.

Blonde boy kissed the brooding man, "I'm no time expert. I want them to stay, but they are from the future."

The time machined had two small makeshift beds for the boys to fit inside. The transparent lid opened in a mechanical fashion. Vanitas looked for some initiation sequence or switch. He noticed a palm shaped scanner. He pressed against it.

A robotic female voice answered, " Scan accepted, thank-you Mr. Valentine... Time warp program will begin in ten seconds.. nine…"

"Daddy?" Sora woke up from the time machine. The lid was already locked tight. Sora reached out for his parents. Ventus was holding Vanitas from reaching back. Both were resisting the tears.

"ZERO… Time warp activating…"

"SORA!" A surge of blue light illuminated the kitchen once more and faded. Vanitas collapsed to his knees. His tears finally streamed down his chin as he clenched his fist.

"T-They're gone…"

Author's note: Do not fret, there will be a epilogue. I'm not that much of a dick to my followers. But it has been very tiring to write this much. And to tie it up. I know i rushed the ending. I don't even know if this is worth posting.
