I just found an extremely old poll in my watcha m'call it and I realized itz full of all the BS stories tht I honestly regret writing and am happy tht I deleted 2 of them.
Rein's POV
When I reached the bookshop, I stared at it, and it's brand new design. It looked quite amazing, actually. The windows had a nice display of toys and children's books on one side, and some really complicated looking books in the other. I took a glance inside to see that there were customers inside, looking through all the brand new and refurbished books. The manager running the store looked so happy. I felt guilty for wishing that this was the old, lonely store among the others, because now, this book store was fit to be here.
I walked in, and breathed in the fresh scent of wood. The store manager greeted me. "Hello, Rein. You haven't visited in a while so I was slightly worried." I walked up to his counter, avoiding some people walking buy me.
"The place looks great." I said as I looked around. Thanks to him... I shut my eyes tightly to force out the memory and then opened them again. "I'm happy that you're finally getting business." I looked around at all the new books, and new sections.
"Business has never been better. But it wasn't the same until my number one customer came around." He gave me a kind smile. I couldn't smile back, so I just continued to look around the store. "You don't seem happy. Are you alright?" I looked at the ground. No. I'm not. I'm fighting with my friend, who doesn't understand how I feel. Who idiotically drags me to random places. Who selfishly concerns himself with others! Was what I wanted to say.
But I forced myself to turn around and smile while saying as brightly as possible, "I just came by to say hi. I'm still reading that other book you gave me so I can't really buy any books now." I began walking towards the exit again. "I'm glad that your store is finally getting business." I said as I waved goodbye and exited the store. I took off my glasses, which began to fog up a bit. I'm really am glad but... I decided to head towards the fountain, where Shade had dragged me before.
That store is no longer like me. It's no longer unfit to be here! I rested my elbows on my knees while placing my face in my hands. Everything is changing too quickly for me, and I don't know what to do!
"Rein." I could hear the sound of footsteps approach me from the side. I looked up to see someone wearing a scarf and a hat. He lifted the hat slightly, and I saw the shimmering eyes of Bright. "Shade told me you'd be around here. It's dangerous for a lady to be out this late." He said as he walked up to me.
I laughed a little before saying, "I was actually expecting Shade to come after me."
"Well, I thought it was best for me to get you since Shade's incredibly stupid when trying to be gentle with others." Bright said as he took a seat next to me. I laughed again.
"Well, that's not hard to believe." I replied.
"Anyways, don't get mad a Shade for saying those things." I looked at Bright, who looked me back straight in the eyes. I was glad it was slightly dark, because I felt flustered looking at him. "He's got a bad way of showing it, but when he said those things, I'm pretty sure he was imagining that you'd probably have a better time at Royal Wonder Academy then the school you're going to now."
"Is that so." I said. I felt pretty skeptical about it considering that Altezza girl's attitude. I assume she goes to their school...
"Let's head back." Bright said. "It's getting quite dark."
"Wait, please." Before Bright almost got up, he turned back to me, the same gentle look in his eyes. "You still haven't given me those phone lessons, you know? Since you didn't get the change at the photoshoot..." I didn't want to look at him out of nervousness, but he gladly accepted. I smiled and took my phone out of my pocket and flipped it open. He took his out too and began showing me step by step how to do one thing after another.
"Wait, wait, you're going too fast..."
"So you use this for..."
"Oh! I get it!"
It went on something like this, and every now and then our faces would be inches away when I would look at his phone screen or he would look at mine. I would try to ignore it, but on the inside I was blushing like crazy. Just focus on learning about the phone! I would continuously tell myself. I wasn't sure how much time had passed until someone else called my name.
"Rein?" I looked up from my phone, and looked up to see Fango, holding a bag of groceries. Behind him, giving me another glare was Elizabetta. "Rein!" He said once he realized it was me. I immediately jumped up out of surprise. Bright just shut his phone and stayed seated.
"Hi Fango. I was just out with my... uh... cousin." I said as I glanced over at Bright. He nodded his head, but kept it down to hide his face. Fango seemed gave him a suspicious look, but turned back to me.
"So this is your cousin?" He asked. He sounded somewhat upset, but I wasn't really sure why. "What's his name?"
"His name... uh..." I glanced over at him again, not sure what to call him.
Suddenly, "Sparkles." He said as though it was normal. "My name is Sparkles." Bright, no Sparkles stood up and held out a hand. I turned around in shock as I thought, Out of all the possible names, he chooses Sparkles! Bright, why?! He pulled his hat slightly down. Stop looking more suspicious! Fango was glaring at him by now.
"What-" Until Elizabetta smacked him out of the way and took his hand herself.
"Oh what a great surprise! Are you guys dating?" Elizabetta immediately asked. She seemed somewhat happy.
"Betty!" Fango fumed as he got up from the ground. "What kind of question is that?!" Elizabetta let go of his hand.
"I just wanna know if this plain girl is dating anyone. I can believe she'd resort to her cousin." Elizabetta looked at me with an evil grin, and I looked away. Fango grabbed her wrist tightly.
"Why are you so rude to her Elizabetta?" Fango harshly asked. She seemed surprised by his reaction.
"Why are you so concerned about that!" She tore her hand away from his grip and turned around. Even in the faint light I could see a slight blush on her face. "You never cared much for the people I'm rude to." Could it be? I looked at Fango who seemed slightly surprised by her reply this time.
"That's just..." He started, then he looked at me and turned away immediately. "That's none of your concern!" Elizabetta just stayed silent finally and Fango returned to talking to 'Sparkles.' The minute he opened his mouth, another person came bursting in.
"I can't take it anymore! Bright, please switch with me!" Shade said as he ran towards us. He didn't look any less suspicious than Bright, wearing a hat that matches Bright exactly and some sunglasses, along with a tench coat. "Hm? Oh look, it's shorty." Fango seemed as pissed as ever by now, but Bright spoke up first.
"Hi, my name is Sparkles. Are you an acquaintance of his?" Bright said as he held his hand out towards Shade. STOP IT ALREADY BRIGHT! I wished I could say, but I could only go along with it. I face palmed and sat back down on the edge of the fountain. Elizabetta just glared at me and kept her face turned away.
"Sparkles? Really?" Shade said through his disguise. I glanced at Fango to see that he was also confused as to what was happening. "Call me Moon Man." THAT'S EVEN WORSE THAN SPARKLES. THIS IDIOT!
"What do you need?" 'Sparkles' said, as though 'Moon Man' wasn't an unusual name.
"I came to switch places, and take her back. I can't stand being there."
"Well, you have to wait, I still wasn't finished with her yet."
"Finished what with her?" Shade sounded irritated. You know what, this conversation makes it sound like I've been kidnapped or something! "Look, I don't want her running away again, so let's take her back, and-"
"Ok, I've heard enough!" Fango finally seemed to finally (mis)understand what was going on. "Whatever you guys are forcing Rein into, I won't allow it!" Bright and Shade looked puzzled as they looked at him. Did you idiots not listen to what your conversation sounded like?! He rolled up his sleeve a little and I assumed he was getting ready to throw a punch, so that's when I decided I would clear up the matter.
But the moment I stood up, I suddenly felt someone pick me up by my back and thighs, and then start running away. "Shade!" I shouted at him as I blushed. "What are you doing?!"
"Look, talking to him is obviously meaningless, and I don't want to get involved in a fight, also we don't have much time left!" I could see Bright following a little farther behind. It looked like Fango was following us for the first couple minutes, but then he stopped and just stood there. I felt a little bad so I smacked Shade. He said a little ouch before looking at me.
"Why didn't you let me explain things to him? He knows me, and I know he trusts me." Rein said. "And put me down already!"
"Just clear it up with him tomorrow at your school or something!" Shade replied. I shoved his face upward, but he still didn't put me down. "Why do you have so much faith in him?"
"Is there something wrong with that?! And I told you to put me down!" Shade slowed to a stop, and then put me down. I rubbed my face from embarrassment, and then turned back to him. "He's my friend, why wouldn't I put my faith in him! Don't you have faith in Bright?!" I said as I pointed at Bright who stopped right next to him.
"Of course I do, but that's because I've known him for a long time! You've only met that shorty, what, a week ago? Two?"
"That doesn't matter! I trust him, and he trusts me!" I stomped my foot and started heading towards their idol headquarters. "Also, I'm not transferring schools! And that's final!" When I didn't hear Shade's reply, I turned around, only to see him zip right past me without another word, which was quite unusual. As for Bright, he still seemed to be enjoying himself.
So we got there in silence, and I found a passed out Fine on the couch.
"Why'd you leave her?" Bright asked.
Shade didn't seem to have much emotion when replying, but he said, "She would wake up, go 'Kyaaa! Eclipse!', ramble on about her dreams and stuff, then fainted again. This happened more than once." He face palmed as if there was more to it than just that. I laughed.
"That's just like my sister."
He seemed surprised and as I opened the door, he said, "Sorry about earlier. You can decide if you want to transfer or not. No matter what though, the spot will be open." Shade smiled and waved goodbye. I felt flustered, so I said goodbye ad quickly shut the door so I wouldn't have to stare at him. What is wrong with me?!
Btw, Rein is sad becuz everything is changing and getting better around her too quickly, leaving her behind. So shez not fully upset over what Shade said
Hope you enjoyed! =D
