Disclaimer: I own nothing but Mia!

To say I was nerves walking to my father's truck would be an understatement of epic proportions. I sat in the passenger seat and braced myself for the lecture I was sure would come. There were several minutes of silence before he finally decided to break it.

"I called your mother."

"You, what?" I asked completely confused that was not what I had expected him to say.

"The night we all found out about you and him. I called your mother." I was so confused where this was going or why he wanted to talk about my mom when there was so much else to talk about.

"OK, uh how is she?" I asked hesitantly.

"She alright, she was confused though apparently she was under the impression that the you and Caleb thing was a onetime only." Suddenly my questions were answered that was why he was bringing it up.

"When I called her it was." I said looking down at my lap.

"And when exactly was that Mia?" He questioned and his voice which had been casual started to get an angry edge to it.

"The morning after he picked me up from school."

"What happened that made you call her?"

"I'm sure she told you everything, why do I have to retell it?" I asked crossing my arms.

"Because young lady I would like to hear some truth from you for the first time in apparently a month." He said and his voice made it clear he was only hanging onto calm by threads.

"We stopped at a motel on the way back from school, and Caleb kissed me." I saw my dad clench his jaw. "But he took it back right away and we had a fight, he went and slept in the truck and I spent the night in the room, I was upset so I eventually called mom."

"If he took it back how did you two wind up in the junk yard on top of a car?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"He changed his mind, I guess." I said.

"And you?" I looked up at my dad confused. "You just let him kiss you?" I knew I only had one chance to explain to my dad how I feel one chance to get him on my side.

"A part of me has always loved Caleb, when I was little it was as another brother. But I'm not little anymore dad and the feelings I have for him have grown and changed to something much more than a brother. I love him daddy." I said this with as much emotion as I could push into my voice praying that he would understand.

"Mia you are 17 years old you don't know a dam thing about love." It felt like he had slapped me in the face. Of anyone in the world I thought he would understand love. It was no secret that my parents didn't love each other. Their time spent together was the product of long and lonely days and nights on the road and adrenalin from a fresh hunt, I had no fairytales in my head about them. But I knew for a fact that he had loves Mary Winchester, I saw it in his eyes on the few occasions growing up that Sammy could get him to talk about her. Hell it was the reason he was on this crusade in the first place, to avenge the women he loved. That was the fairytale I had in my head and with one sentence he had broken it.

"Age has nothing to do with love; you met Mary when you were right around my age." I mumbled just loud enough for him to hear.

"What did you just say?"

"I said you met Mary when she was my age." I said louder and more confident this time. That made him stop, I could see his knuckles turning white from gripping the steering wheel so tight.

"That was a completely different situation." He said through clenched teeth.

"How so?" I demanded.

"Well for one thing she was 17 and I was 19 not 26. For two neither she nor I were hunters."

"But you were a solder! Is there really a difference?"

"Yes!"

"Like what!" By this time both of our voices were raised.

"What I was fighting wouldn't come after her!" He yelled back making me sink into my seat a little. That what he was worried about, sure the age thing bothered him, and of course he didn't like the idea of a guy with his little girl, but the core problem was that if I was with Caleb anything that was after him was after me. If Caleb died the monster could easily hurt me or worse use me to get to Caleb.

"Dad, I'm in danger rather I'm with Caleb or not. At any time any number of things could kill you, or Dean, or Sam and then come for me. Or they could use me to get to one of you, hell they have before. That's part of being a hunter that's part of our lives." I said my voice much lower than it had been just minutes before.

"I know and that's why I'm sending you back to ST. Valance."

"What no!"

"Mia you said it yourself being around us puts you in danger."

"I'll run away." I said as we pulled up to where we were parking the cars.

"Excuse me, young lady." He said turning to look at me.

"You ditch me there and I will run away." I said looking him dead in the eye to let him know I was serious.

"Then I will leave the hunt I am working on and come to find you, and when I do because I will, I will beat your stubborn little ass so you can't sit for a month and then I will drag you back to school." He said in a low threatening tone, and then he opened his door and got out of the truck leaving me alone and shocked in the car. I took a few calming breaths trying to wrangle in my emotions, after all this was a hunt and I needed my head in the game. I must have been taking too long because Sam came over and knocked on the window. I opened the door and jumped out.

"You ok kiddo?" He asked clearly concerned. I shook my head knowing if I tried to talk I would cry. He seemed to understand and put his hand on the small of my back leading me to Dean and dad.

"This is how this hunt is going to go." My dad said as we walked up.

Hours later were all back at the motel room. Wounds were wrapped and the adrenalin had finally drained from all of us. I had been sitting on the bed when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I looked and saw it was Caleb.

C: Got a second?

Me: Yeah

C: Call me?

I stood up and headed towards the door.

"Where do you think you're going?" My dad asked. It was the first thing he said to me since I threatened to run away.

"Just out the door I need some air."

"Don't go any further." He said never lifting his head from his journal.

"Yeah, whatever." I said opening the door.

"Excuse me?" He said and I could feel his eyes burning into me.

"Yes sir, I won't go far." I said with as much attitude in my voice as I dared to put.

"That's better." I rolled my eyes as I left the room. Thankfully the Impala was parked front and center to the door so I climbed on top of the hood knowing Dean would have a fit if he came out. I dialed Caleb's number.

"JB." He answered and his voice sounded strained already.

"Hey cowboy." I said trying to make my voice sound happy.

"You ok?"

"No."

"Want to talk about it?"

"If I say not really will you drop it?" I asked trying to joke around with him.

"Not a chance." He laughed out.

"My dad is sending me back."

"Back? Back where…. Oh" He said as it clicked in what I was saying. "He's sending you back to that school."

"Yeah."

"When?"

"I think after this hunt, we didn't really get that far in the conversation I pissed him off and he walked out."

"Of course you did," He laughed again. "How is everything else your brothers?"

"Me and Sammy are ok."

"And Dean?"

"Dean is being very Dean about all of this."

"I understand you completely." At that moment Dean came out of the motel and seeing me sitting on his car started right over to me.

"Speak of the devil, I got to go." I said.

"Ok I love you JB."

"I love you to." I said hitting the end button just as Dean reached me.

"That was strange."

"What?"

"Hearing you tell him you love him." I rolled my eyes and went to get off the car. "Hey come on I want to talk to you Mia May."

"Talk or make sarcastic comments?" I asked not in the mood to deal with Dean.

"Talk." I could tell by the look in his eyes he was being honest.

"Do you know dads sending me back?"

"Yeah he told me."

"I don't want to go."

"I know."

"Then help me."

"How? He's still dad Mia. Maybe being away from all of this will help."

"Dean." I said exasperated.

"Mia I know you don't want to go hell I don't want you to go, but I can't lie and say im not glad you will be away from danger."

"And Caleb." I said accusingly.

"Yeah and Caleb." I started to walk away. "Hey! I'm not going to hit him anymore but I can't pretend that im just fine with this either Mia you are my baby sister I'm never going to be ok with some guy with you especially not my best friend."

"He's still your best friend?"

"Well it's not like I got many friends"

"I could be your friend."

"Why would I want some punk kid to be my friend?" He said with a smirk on his face.

"Because im super cool." I said walking back towards him.

"Sisters can't be cool." He said as he wrapped his arm around me.

"My music is cool."

"You had a bad ass teacher." He said making me laugh. We sat for a few in comfortable silence I leaned my head on his shoulder I could never stay mad at Dean for long as over bearing and annoying as he could be he was my Dean and I loved him.

"I'm you know sorry I freaked out the other night." He said clearing his throat.

"Yeah, yeah no chick flick moments." I said but I kissed his cheek before I slipped out from under his arm and headed towards the motel room.

"Pain in the ass little sisters." I heard him mumble fallowing me.

It was not a happy vibe threw out the Impala. Dean was pouting and complaining because dad insisted on driving and had on his old twangey country music. I of course was upset that we were heading back to ST. Valance and was making it abundantly clear by staring out the window and letting out loud sighs ever few minutes. Then there was Sam who since we had left the motel three states over had been arguing with my dad about anything and everything. At the moment Sam was arguing with my dad on which exit they should take.

"Dad if you would just listen I have the map right here." Sam said leaning over the seat to show our father what he was trying to say. He only missed hitting Dean in the face with his elbow by inches.

"Dude watch were your throwing your gigantore limbs!" Dean said pushing said back causing Sam to kick me.

"Ow! The hell!" I said, jumping from surprise kicking the back of my dad's seat on accident, before kicking Sam on purpose.

"Mia!" Sam yelled. Suddenly my dad jerked the Impala to the side of the highway making me fly into Sam and Dean hit it head on the window.

"I have had it with you three!" My dad shouted throwing open his door. "Front and center!" He yelled as he walked to the side of the road. We got out of the car and walked to the passenger side standing in a straight line next to each other in front of our dad.

"How old are you three?" He demanded. We all stood there staring straight ahead. "I asked you a question." He growled out. "Dean?"

"26 sir."

"Samuel?"

"22 sir."

"Mia?"

"17 sir."

"Then why is it I feel like I am in the car with a bunch of four year old!" He shouted out. Once again none of us answered. "There will be no more pouting, arguing, sighing, or sarcastic answers from any of you for the rest of the car ride, is that clear?"

"Yes sir." We said in unison.

"The next one to give any type of attitude or talk back will go over my knee I don't care how old he or she is understood?"

"Yes sir!" We said again.

"Dismissed." He said heading back to the driver side as we all scrambled to get into the car. The rest of the ride was silent. The goodbye scene at school was not nearly as emotional as most peoples are. I got put in the same room I had been in sharing with Sandi but when we got there she was in class so it was just the four of us. There were quick hugs and quite promises to keep in touch we were all still pretty on edge from the car.

"As soon as the school year is over I'll come get you." Dean promised kissing the top of my head.

"If you need anything call, in fact just call." Sam said wrapping me in a hug.

"Boys go to the car I need a minuet with your sister." My dad said. They left quickly Sam giving me one last wave as he walked out the door. "I asked Caleb not to come visit you while you're here."

"What!"

"I am doing this to keep you safe having him come up to where you are might bring you to something's attention."

"That's such bull." I said dropping on to my bed.

"Mia I know you think I'm just doing this to keep you two away from each other and be mean but I really am doing this for your safety and to give you a chance at a future that your brothers never got. One day you will understand that." He sighed sitting next to me.

"Really because it feels like you're just ditching me somewhere." I said honestly.

"I know." He said. It was very dad he made no excuses and said nothing more than the truth. "You going to hug your old man before he leaves of do you hate me?" He asked bumping my shoulder a little. I rolled my eyes and stood up. He took me into his arms and held me tight.

"I love you Mia I know right now you're mad and won't believe me but leaving you kids behind is the hardest thing I have to do and it gets harder every time."

"Then stop leaving us." I said back kissing his cheek as he let go he gave me a sad smile.

"Behave yourself young lady."

"Yes sir." I said just as he opened the door to leave Staci walked in.

"Holy shit your back!" She yelled jumping me.

"Yeah I guess I am." I said hugging her back. I saw my dad watching for a second before slipping out silent but not unnoticed.

"So to celebrate your return." Sandi said pulling out a baggie of white powder from her back pocket. "How about we have our selves a little party." I hesitated up until now I had only touched weed and even then it was only a few times. But then I thought of all that had happened in the last few days. I have been ripped from my family and my boyfriend; I was alone once again left behind.

"Why not." I said and Sandi clapped pulling me onto her bed.
