Last Time on Mates to Lovers…
They walked back to the room in silence. When they got there, both went the opposite sides of the bed and changed into their nighttime wear with their backs facing the other. Sesshomaru was the first to get changed. InuYasha was just finishing up when Sesshomaru spoke to him.
"InuYasha… do you remember when you mentioned that you and I would one day have pups? Did you actually think about that as an actual future for us?"
That question stopped InuYasha in his tracks. His mind was running a mile a minute, but he had to think of something to say before Sesshomaru thinks of something terrible about them.
"Yeah I threw the idea around. I mean, since we are mated and since you did say that we have to produce and heir to keep control over these lands, I figured that you'd want at least one from me."
"I actually looked into the law about that. If I adopt Shippo as my son, I could actually pass power down to him. So technically, we don't have to produce an actual heir, unless he passes away." Sesshomaru added from his side of the bed.
"Really? I mean that's great for you right? I mean, I know you said that you were concerned about the whole getting me pregnant and feeling as if you were just using me thing." InuYasha chuckled to himself.
Even though part of him was a little relieved about finding that out, deep down inside, InuYasha was a little sadden by the fact that they may never become intimate and about him never carrying a pup of his own. Sure he had adopted Shippo and Rin as his own and couldn't be happier, he still wanted to feel what it would be like to carry a pup he created inside of him.
"One would think so, but in a way, it kind of saddens me that I may never have a pup to raise and mold better than my mother did me. It is true that I could do that to Shippo or even Rin, but they have had some time with their biological parents and have their own set of morals, rules, etc. that they follow by. In a way, I wanted someone to start over with from scratch." Sesshomaru informed.
This kind of shocked InuYasha and made him turned to face Sesshomaru with curious eyes. "Are you trying to say that you want to have a pup with me?"
With a deep sigh, Sesshomaru rose to his feet and began to walk over to InuYasha. The half-breed's eyes never left his older brother's frame. They seem to widen a little bit when Sesshomaru was standing right in front of him and watched as said older brother knelt to the ground with his hands on InuYasha's legs.
"InuYasha, I did not just mate with you to keep my throne. I mated with you because I care about you. This was my way of getting my baby brother back and to make up for all the times that I denied you of all your birth privileges. By mating with you, I have grown as a person and now have a family again. In a way, it feels as if I were back with father and my mother again but this time, the feeling is greater. I have a mate who cares about me for who I am, not for what I can offer them. I have children who are excited to see me when I walk into their vicinity. I never knew that having people in my life who actually care about me would bring back the feelings I was taught to throw away at a young age. To be honest, I do not even remember the last time I felt this way. Come to think of it, I do not think I have ever felt this way. A sad realization I know, but no matter what happens InuYasha, there is one thing that I want you to know… I care about all three of you. Every last one of you complete me in a way never thought possible. So thank you, InuYasha. Thank you for making me feel alive."
InuYasha's eyes widen at hearing Sesshomaru's confession. He never thought that he would see this side of his older brother. He knew that Sesshomaru seemed a little happier since Shippo, Rin and he moved into the palace, but he had no idea he felt this way. To InuYasha, it seemed as f Sesshomaru confessed his love for him and their little make-shift family. And, even though he was pretty sure that's what had just happened, InuYasha didn't want to put words into Sesshomaru's mouth. He wanted to wait until he actually said them. But, that's the least of his worries.
What he was currently dealing with was the fact that the confession from Sesshomaru was making his body react in a way it hasn't since he was with Kagome. His heart and blood was pounding in his ears. His golden eyes kept drifting to his brother's lips, trying his hardest to resist the urge to kiss them and losing greatly. After swallowing a large lump in his throat, InuYasha decided to take his chances.
"I'm going to do something embarrassing. If you don't like it feel free to push me away and we'll never do this again. Just promise me you won't get too freaked out."
Sesshomaru nodded his head. InuYasha's nerves became even more shot, but he maned up and went along with his plan. InuYasha closed his eyes and quickly planted a kiss on Sesshomaru's lips. The older demon was completely taken aback by this action from his younger brother. For the first time in his life, Sesshomaru was too shocked to move. But he knew that he had to or else risk losing InuYasha and diminishing the high amount of courage and self-esteem he had at this current moment. And he wasn't that far off.
On the other side of the playing field, InuYasha began to notice that Sesshomaru hadn't kissed him back nor has he pushed him away yet. It confused InuYasha. He wasn't too sure if Sesshomaru liked it or was repulsed by it. In InuYasha's mind, it was probably the latter. Deciding to stop this embarrassing moment, InuYasha was about to pull away until he felt Sesshomaru's hand hold his neck in place and his lips press against InuYasha's.
Surprised by this, InuYasha opened his eyes slightly enough to see Sesshomaru staring back at him. It was through that eye contact that both understood that this was the solution to their built up inner demon urge. With that understanding intact, both closed their eyes and moved closer. InuYasha's arms moved to grip Sesshomaru's shoulders while his brother's hands moved to his thighs.
The kiss started off as a slow gentle kiss before InuYasha decided to guide Sesshomaru in other ways of kissing. InuYasha figured that his lonesome brother never had a kiss before now, so the least he could do was guide his brother in this kind of thing. InuYasha started off by doing little pecks on Sesshomaru's lips without removing his lips from the others. It was awkward at first, but Sesshomaru managed to get the hang of it. When InuYasha felt that Sesshomaru was comfortable with that, he began to use his tongue to lick his mate's lips. InuYasha could sense the confusion coming from Sesshomaru, the half-breed used his tongue to open the others mouth and played with the tongue awaiting him on the other side. Once again, it was awkward, but when Sesshomaru got the hang of that, they began to wrestle their tongues against the others. InuYasha even surprised his mate by pulling his tongue back into his mouth and using his fangs to bite and suck on Sesshomaru's bottom lip. Turned on by this sensation InuYasha's actions were giving him, Sesshomaru released his mind and allowed his demon to take over just enough.
InuYasha moaned into Sesshomaru's mouth when he felt his brother's pale, strong hands squeeze his thighs before moving onto the owner's butt. While his hands were messaging InuYasha's round, perfect ass, Sesshomaru stood up and used his weight to push his mate onto the bed. Long white hair draped over its owner's back and onto the younger sibling underneath him. InuYasha continued to moan as he felt Sesshomaru's mouth move from his onto his neck. InuYasha threw his head back when he felt Sesshomaru's tongue play around his mating mark, collarbone, neck, and pulse. Sesshomaru used his tongue to lick InuYasha along his neck before sucking on his pulse and biting into his collarbone. What made InuYasha arch his back was when Sesshomaru brought one hand message the ear that was still sore and bore Sesshomaru's alpha mark. When InuYasha arched his back, his front rubbed against Sesshomaru's. The older sibling responded by putting his knee near InuYasha's member for him to rub on. InuYasha began to do so but when Sesshomaru felt InuYasha possibly getting close to his release, he used his strong, pale hand to hold InuYasha's hips down.
"Stop." Sesshomaru commanded in a deep, husk voice. This made InuYasha look at his mate with lust in his eyes and soft pants exciting his mouth. That enticing look gave Sesshomaru that final push to claim InuYasha's body as his. With a commanding aura coming from him, Sesshomaru leaned down and whispered into InuYasha's ear. "You are not allowed to cum without my permission."
The way he commanded him like that sent chills long InuYasha's spine. Without a second thought, Sesshomaru rose up and removed his sleeping kimono before doing InuYasha's and climbing back on top of him begin kissing him again. InuYasha used his strength to move back on the bed until he hit the pillows. Sesshomaru used his hands to open tan, strong legs. InuYasha moaned a little louder when he felt Sesshomaru play with his member for a few short moments. InuYasha gave a grunt of frustration when he felt Sesshomaru rip his hand away.
"Easy pup. I am nowhere near finished with you yet."
Confused by this, InuYasha watched as Sesshomaru reached into the nightstand and pulled out a small bowl of massage oil. Sesshomaru used his demonic powers to retract his claws to a smaller length so he didn't hurt InuYasha. He dipped his fingers into the oil as he opened InuYasha's legs further and using his right arm to hold his lower half up. When his fingers were oiled up enough, he moved them to the beginning of his mate's entrance.
"I want you to relax a little bit. It's going to hurt a little bit, but I'll try to be as gentle as possible. Understood?"
When InuYasha nodded, giving his alpha permission to penetrant him, Sesshomaru used one finger to circle around the hole before slowly pushing it in. InuYasha hissed and grunted as he felt the digit enter inside of him. Sesshomaru knew that it was going to hurt his mate, no matter how gentle he was, so he just went as slow as possible and tried his hardest to make it as harmless as possible.
When the finger was fully inside of his mate, Sesshomaru moved the finger around a little bit and even went as far to curl it. InuYasha moaned, hissed and grunted as he was being played with. Through cracked eye lids, InuYasha could see Sesshomaru's eyes watching him with lust and admiration while his arm moved with every thrust he gave his finger. When he felt the hole was loose enough, Sesshomaru inserted his middle finger to be alongside his index finger. InuYasha hissed at the feeling of Sesshomaru's fingers inside of him, scissoring, adjusting, and playing with him to get him used to the actual act of having the larger appendage entering him. InuYasha moans increased as he began gripping the sheets beneath him and tried his hardest to push against the fingers inside of him. They were soft, but InuYasha could hear Sesshomaru grunt above him. That's when it hit him.
Everything that was happening was in his dream from the previous night. That's when the anticipation and excitement began to kill him.
"Just do me already. I can't take it anymore, Sesshomaru." InuYasha panted through half-lid eyes and with his weight supported on his arms.
"As you wish." Was all Sesshomaru said before removing his fingers and lathering himself with the oil.
When he was ready, Sesshomaru spread InuYasha's legs wide, placed one tan leg in the crook of his arm while using his other hand to guide his member into InuYasha's entrance. When he was inside enough, Sesshomaru removed his hand from his member and used it to put the other tan leg in the crook of his other arm. InuYasha dropped back onto the bed, moaned, and threw his head back at the ecstasy of being penetrated by Sesshomaru. His alpha eased his dick into InuYasha until his pelvis connected with InuYasha's lower half. The tightness from InuYasha began to overwhelm the ruler of the Western Lands. When he pulled out just enough to leave the tip in, Sesshomaru used his pelvis to thrust back into InuYasha with power. This made InuYasha gasp for air and clenched the sheets tighter. The air within the room was being filled with both Sesshomaru's grunts and InuYasha's semi-loud moans. A thin layer of sweat covered their bodies. Some of Sesshomaru's sweat even dripped onto InuYasha's chest. When he felt closer to his limit, Sesshomaru began to pick up his pace and thrusting power, causing InuYasha to moan louder. To try and quiet his beta down so they don't wake up the kids, Sesshomaru let one of InuYasha's legs go in favor of gripping the beaded necklace and pulling him closer so that they could kiss. InuYasha was so close to cumming, but was unable to due to Sesshomaru using his powers to prevent it until he said it was ok. InuYasha pulled away from Sesshomaru and used his eyes to beg for release. Seeing this, Sesshomaru nodded as he leaned into InuYasha's ear.
"You may come for me, pup."
And with that, InuYasha's seed poured down his member and onto his pelvis while Sesshomaru continued to rock his body with his powerful thrusts. And, not too much later, Sesshomaru came inside of InuYasha. The younger sibling moaned a final time as he felt Sesshomaru's seed fill his entrance. Although somewhat drained of his energy, Sesshomaru managed to hold himself slightly above InuYasha so he wouldn't crush him. Both were left panting from their experience. Sesshomaru was the first to gain his composer. He got up, got a clean towel, wet it, and used to clean himself off. When he was finished, Sesshomaru got a new towel to clean InuYasha up. When both brothers were cleaned, they each got up to piss out the rest. Sesshomaru went to the bathroom while InuYasha peed out the door that led into the gardens. After taking care for their business, they returned to their bed, laid down, and just stared at each other.
"So… um… that happened…." InuYasha started off.
"Yes. It would appear so."
"Do you want to… talk about it…?"
Sesshomaru mulled the idea over in him head for a little while before deciding to answer. "Not necessary for the night. We shall do so in the morning."
"Good call." InuYasha nodded. "So… should we… cuddle now…?"
"Only if that is what you wish, InuYasha." Sesshomaru answered before closing his eyes and laying completely still on his back.
Suddenly, Sesshomaru felt InuYasha move closer to him until his head was on his chest and his ears began to tickle his chin. Not saying a word, Sesshomaru used his right arm to wrap around his mate before sighing in satisfaction.
With the activity from tonight wearing their bodies down, both brothers closed their eyes and waited for sleep to overtake them.
"Good night, InuYasha."
"Good night, Sesshomaru."

Chapter 11: Trance Walker
Normal P.O.V.
The morning rays began to fill the room. One of the first scents that entered both brothers' senses was the dissipating smell of their mating from the previous night. InuYasha was the first to open his eyes and take in his surroundings with sleep filled eyes.
One of the first things he noticed was that he was in Sesshomaru and his room. His eyes moved further down towards the edge of the bed before meeting his naked arm laying above silk blue and white sheets. It took him a few moments to begin remembering what exactly happened last night. When his memory came back tenfold, InuYasha began to freak out inwardly.
"Holy shit. Sesshomaru and I just had SEX for the first time… EVER! And on top of that it was actually… good. I mean, I was expecting it to be somewhat decent, but not as great as it actually was. Where did he even learn to do some of those things? I didn't even know some of those things! Has he done this before? There's no way he could have done this stuff before. I mean, I'm happy he did, but at the same time it's just… weird… And then we pissed together, that was wayyyyyyyyyy too awkward. Oh holy shit! Everything about this situation is so weird! What if he didn't like it? I mean he had to like it, I mean there's no way I could've been that bad right? Oh shit what if I was? What if he hated it and he doesn't talk to me again. Oh shit! I fucked up! I fucked up really bad!"
"InuYasha, quit all of that unnecessary worrying. You are beginning to get tense again." Sesshomaru called out, startling InuYasha. The younger of the two broke free from Sesshomaru's hold and rose onto him elbows. Sensing that InuYasha was staring at him, Sesshomaru managed to crack one eye open to stare at his mate. "Is there anything I can assist you with, otoutosan?"
"… …You can read my thoughts…?"
"Do not be ridiculous. Due to our bond, I can sense your feelings. All of your unnecessary worrying is making your body and inner demon become tense. Do you not remember the conversation we had about this at an earlier time?" Sesshomaru asked with a perfectly arched eyebrow.
"Oh right. Sorry…" InuYasha laughed nervously while scratching his right.
Sesshomaru sighed softly before closing his eye. "What ails you, little one?"
"Excuse me? I'm not little anymore, niisan." InuYasha glared.
"This is correct, but I am still older than you by at least a hundred years. So, in technical terms, you are still little to me. But do not let it bother you. There are some of our clan members that refer to me as "little one" when they are more than hundreds of years older than me." Sesshomaru informed calmly.
"Fair. But, don't get me distracted!" InuYasha shouted.
"I suggest you lower the volume of your voice if you do not want to wake the children." InuYasha was about to retaliate, but stopped when he realized that Sesshomaru was right. So, instead, InuYasha took a deep breath to cam himself. "Now, tell me what causes my mate so much worry."
"I guess I was just feeling… self-conscious? Ya know, about last night."
Sesshomaru sighed before sitting up on the bed in the agura (cross-legged sitting position in Japanese) position with both his elbows resting on each thigh and his fingers laced together, supporting his chin.
"And what about last night made you feel self-conscious this morning?"
"I don't know! It was just… awkward, right?" InuYasha asked with uncertainty laced in his voice.
"I found nothing awkward about it. I quite enjoyed myself. Did you not? Was my performance not to your liking? Is there anything I could have done differently to better serve you in the future?" Sesshomaru asked with confusion present in his voice.
"What! No!" InuYasha yelled before moving to sit up in an upright position with his legs out and his back against the pillows. "You were pretty damn great. I mean it's just… …" InuYasha turned his head away from his brother's inquisitive face to try and keep his nerves straight. "Sesshomaru… have you… done this before…?"
InuYasha felt his heart somewhat sink when he heard Sesshomaru's heavy sigh and prepared to brace himself for the words that are about to come.
"I will not lie to you, InuYasha. Yes, I have participated in such acts before you. It was required of me when my mother tried to "persuade" me to try and produce an heir many years ago. She continued to bring various women to the palace in a pathetic attempt for me to become attracted to them and, in your words, "sleep" with them in order to spread my seed."
This made InuYasha turn to face Sesshomaru with shocked eyes. "Wait. So you mean to tell me that your own mother pushed different women onto you in order to try and get an heir out of you?" Sesshomaru nodded slowly. "But that's just wrong! She had no right doing that to you. She basically forced you to lose your virginity before you were ready."
"This is true and this is one of many reasons as to why I greatly dislike that woman. I would almost go as far as to say I hate her, but she is still my mother and I have to respect that. But, I digress. Anyway, when she managed to finally push me to my breaking point, I traveled to her palace and yelled at her to stop her pathetic and disgraceful antics. She said that she would only stop if I were to give in and sleep with just one of the women she sent to me. And, as you have seen, I only had two choices: either sleep with one of them or deal with my mother. So, obviously, I did the only option I saw fit for that moment."
InuYasha lowered his head as he thought about the story he just heard. "I'm sorry Sesshomaru, but that just seemed so wrong. I mean, I get why you did it. I probably would've done the same thing too. But still…"
Sesshomaru used his left hand to grab InuYasha's chin. InuYasha's cheeks began to tint light pink when he was forced to face his older brother. "I know that this is disheartening to hear, but believe me when I say that I believe it was for the better. If I had not done what I did all those years ago, then I would not have been able to please you last night. It made me happy to hear how much you enjoyed my performance." Before InuYasha could say anything, Sesshomaru pulled him in for a quick kiss before backing away.
InuYasha was stunned for a moment at the sudden, but somewhat expected, kiss that Sesshomaru, of all people, gave him. This made the older demon fill with worry.
"Did you not like the kiss I just gave you? Do you not want me to do that any further?"
"No! No~ I mean…" InuYasha sighed as he smacked his forehead with his hand. "I did like it. You just caught me off guard. I told you, it's going to take me some time to get used to… all of this… But, you are more than welcomed to do whatever you want and I'll tell you if I'm comfortable with it or not. Deal?"
Sesshomaru nodded. "That seems something that we can definitely work on. But, you still have not finished telling me what else ails you, otoutosan."
"It's mostly just me. I was worried that you didn't like it, that it was going to change things between us, and then of course we peed together, which was weird. Right?" The younger demon explained as he subconsciously pulled on the ends of his hair while trying not to look at Sesshomaru's face.
"InuYasha, look at me and stop pulling your hair." InuYasha took a deep breath before he slowly let go of his hair and turned to face his mate. "Would you like to continue our relationship as it is, with the intimacy and the courting from me?" InuYasha slowly nodded. "Then you cannot be too self-conscious about those part every time they occur. I understand you feel this way after our first time together, but I just do not want you to keep feeling this way almost every time we engage in those acts. I just want you to be comfortable with everything that goes on between us. If you feel as if you cannot do this, then we will stop all of it."
"No. I want to keep our relationship the way it is. I kind of like the new level our relationship has reached. It actually feels as if we're… mates…" InuYasha blushed. "But I promise that I will get over it soon. Just give me some times."
Sesshomaru raised his hand and put it on the crown of InuYasha's head. "Good things always come to those who wait." InuYasha nodded in agreement. Sesshomaru leaned in to give InuYasha a slow and gentle kiss. InuYasha felt at peace as he moved his lips against his older brother's. Sesshomaru was the first to pull away with a smirk on his face. "And, as for the time where we urinated together, that was bound to happen."
"Us taking a piss together was bound to happen? What the hell does that mean?"
"Well, not us urinating together. I meant more of the fact that we both would have to urinate after us mating. It just so happened to be at the same time."
"Wait, now I'm extremely confused." InuYasha said as he threw his hands up and grabbed his hair in frustration.
"During intercourse, the tube inside of our bodies that allows us to urinate becomes blocked off until we have completed our coitus. Once we have completed said mating act, the tube becomes accessible again and allows the urge as well as the ability to urinate to become ours again." Sesshomaru explained.
InuYasha just stared at Sesshomaru with the most confused expression on his face for about few moments before finally speaking. "How in the hell do you know that?"
"As a rulers, it is necessary for us to know almost everything, including all the functions of our bodies in every situation. Now, I suggest that we get dressed and go wake the children for breakfast before they come running in our room and see us in our naked state." Sesshomaru suggested as he rose off the bed and made his way to the bathroom.
"Yeah ok." InuYasha said as he watched his mate walk into the bathroom and begin to prepare a hot bath for them. "Oh I didn't know you were going to take a bath. I guess I'll just~"
"You are not going to join me? I am running it for both of us. I figured you would want to bathe after last night's mating. Am I incorrect in my line of thinking?" Sesshomaru said as he poked his head into the room.
"No. I'll join you. Just give me a moment."
Sesshomaru nodded his head before disappearing back into the bathroom. Images of Sesshomaru and him began to pop into his head, awaking his flaccid member. InuYasha tried his hardest to get the images out of his head. Once he was calm enough, InuYasha walked into the bathroom to see Sesshomaru sitting on the opposite end of the long hot spring like bath with his hair flowing around his body, water dripping down his muscular body, his arms thrown along the back of the edge and his head thrown back with his eyes closed. The image made InuYasha weak in the knees. He had to take deep breaths to try and calm himself before entering the water.
"Is there anything the matter, InuYasha?" Sesshomaru asked.
"No. Nothing at all."

(1 Month Later)
"Holy shit! It's fucking hot in here!" InuYasha thought to himself as he wiped some of the sweat off his forehead.
At this current moment, InuYasha was lying in his shared bed with just his light sleeping kimono on. Even though the temperature outside is about 75 degrees outside, his body's temperature was about 102 degrees and rising. For the past few days, InuYasha has been lying in bed sick. Even though he was half-demon and can still get sick, it only lasts about one day. It has now been about a week since he first came down with the illness. Now, everyone was starting to get worried. Sesshomaru tried to convince him to get checked out by a healer, but InuYasha simply refuses. But, with this illness continuing and only getting worse, InuYasha is close to agreeing with his family's request.
"What the fuck is wrong with me?"
KNOCK KNOCK
"Come in." InuYasha called out weakly. InuYasha tried to sit up when he saw Sesshomaru, Rin, and Shippo walk into the room with two bowls. Sesshomaru rushed to his mate's side to assist him. "I don't need your help, ya know."
"InuYasha, will you please finally allow me to convince you to be seen by a healer?" Sesshomaru pleaded as he sat on the edge of the bed near InuYasha.
"I don't need a stinkin' healer, Sesshomaru. I bet you I'll be feeling better in no time." InuYasha tried to smile, but stopped when he felt a migraine hit him.
"He's always been so stubborn." Shippo said as he folded his arms.
Due to his migraine, InuYasha choose to ignore his son's remark. After a few moments, InuYasha shook his head free of the migraine, somewhat. "What's with the bowls?"
"We brought you soup!" The kids smiled.
"Awe, thank you." InuYasha smiled as he took the bowl and sat it in his lap. He used a soup to carry the soup to his mouth. When he tasted it, InuYasha was happy to know that it was the same soup his mother made for him when he was little. "How did you know how to make my mother's soup?"
"I remembered it when you made it for me that one day. Father and Rin helped me make it!" Shippo smiled.
"Yeah, Father was the main one who cooked it. We just gathered the ingredients and Shippo told him exactly how to make it." Rin explained with a smile.
"You actually cooked this? Wow, didn't know the spoiled ruler knew how to make something as complicated as soup." InuYasha smirked as he continued to eat the soup.
"For your knowledge, dear InuYasha, I do know how to make certain food items. But, unlike you, I can make them better." Sesshomaru smirked lightly.
"Hahaha, very funny." InuYasha said sarcastically before looking down and seeing a bowl of water and a towel in Sesshomaru's lap. "What's with the bowl?"
"I brought you a bowl of cool water with a towel to help break the fever you have. Now, lay down so I can put the towel on you."
InuYasha handed Sesshomaru the bowl of finished soup before laying down. When he was comfortable, Sesshomaru rang the towel out before putting it on InuYasha's forehead.
"How does that feel?" Sesshomaru asked.
"Great. Thank you." InuYasha sighed in comfort.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Enter." Sesshomaru called out.
Kerai bowed to everyone as she walked into the room. "How are you feeling, Lord~ InuYasha?"
"Good enough. How are you, Kerai?"
"I am very well. Thank you for asking." She bowed again before turning to face Sesshomaru. "Your majesties. Your guest have arrived. They are waiting for you in the entranceway."
"Thank you, Kerai. You are dismissed. Children, follow Kerai to the entranceway and go greet our guests. I shall be right behind you in a few moments." Sesshomaru ordered as he rose off the bed and placed his hands onto the kids' heads. They jumped and cheered with excitement as they followed Kerai out of the room.
"Wait a second. Hold it right there. What guests are we expecting?" InuYasha asked as he tried to sit up.
"You should not strain yourself in your condition." Sesshomaru suggested as he helped InuYasha sit up.
"You're avoiding the question." InuYasha accused.
"I knew you would be upset if I told you about my plan." Sesshomaru sighed.
"And what plan is that, dear mate?" InuYasha glared with his arms crossed.
"I took the liberty of inviting Lord Kiba to visit us. I have been having a bad feeling about not being able to find my mother and stopping whatever plan she has up her sleeves. And with you in your condition, I needed an "expert" if you will to assist me."
"That makes sense, but why would you think I would be mad about that? I mean, yeah I wish you would have told me, but none the less I understand why you did it~"
"I also commanded him to bring the best healer on his mountain along with him." Sesshomaru interrupted.
"What! Sesshomaru… you shouldn't have. I told you that I'm fine." InuYasha sighed while holding his pounding head.
"InuYasha, dear otoutosan, you are not in the best of health. I am very much worried about you. You have not been feeling well for a week and you seem to only be getting worst. I could not sit idly by any longer. You are my mate and it is my duty to protect you and see to it that you become better. I am sorry if you are mad at me for doing what I felt is necessary for you, but I will shoulder that anger and allow you to dish out any punishment you deem fit when you are well again."
Even though InuYasha wanted to be pissed at him, he knew that he would've done the same thing if Sesshomaru was in his position. With a heavy sigh, InuYasha dropped his arms and his false anger.
"No, I'm not mad. You're absolutely right, there's no way I'm getting better right now. Thank you for putting up with my stubborn ass and just know that I'm not mad at you."
"Dully noted. Now, lay back down and try to get some rest." Sesshomaru ordered as he tucked InuYasha back into bed and place the towel onto his forehead.
"Where is the sick princess?" Koga smirked as he walked into their room.
"Holy shit. What the fuck are you doing in my room? Don't you know that you shouldn't bother a sick person?" InuYasha glared as he continued to lay down.
"Yeah, but you're not just an ordinary person and plus I just wanted to see how close to Death's Door you are." Koga laughed.
"Lord Koga, I am glad that you were able to arrive in a timely manner. Were you able to bring your best healer?" Sesshomaru interrupted as he moved to stand in front of the wolf demon.
"Yeah I brought here." He said before whistling for his healer to enter.
A woman who looked to be around the age of 300-400 walked into the room. She had long brown hair where half of it was pulled into a high bun while the rest was draped over her shoulders and back. Her skin was a little bit tanner than InuYasha but still lighter than Koga's. She had small brownish-red eyes and red lipstick, enhancing her full lips. She wore a long gray wolf's fur-like cape over her shoulders with an emerald necklace connecting it. Her chest and torso was covered by navy blue and emerald colored armored corset. Her lower half was covered by a gray wolf fur skirt with a tail behind her and matching leg warmers that reached her knees. Sticking out of the bun in her hair was a healing flower called Digitalis. Even though she looked to be around their ages, she was known throughout the western lands as one of the best and most beautiful healers around.
"This is Naoru. She's from Ayame's mountain. I personally asked her to come with me to check on the mutt."
Naoru moved closer to Sesshomaru and the bed to bow in front of them. "Your majesties, it is a great honor to meet you."
"It is good to see that you live up to the physical part of your reputation. But, I only care about how you live up to your healing reputation." Sesshomaru said.
"Do not worried, Lord Sesshomaru. I promise that Lord InuYasha will be healed in no time with me watching over him."
"I expect so. Come, I will show you two to your rooms while InuYasha gets some rest. Follow me."
Everyone nodded before saying goodbye to InuYasha and turning to leave out the room. When they were gone, InuYasha got comfortable and slowly closed her eyes. When his eyes were completely closed, InuYasha began clearing his mind and easing it until he finally subcommand to sleep.

Hours passed after everyone left InuYasha alone to sleep. Koga and he spent some hours trying to devise plans to capture and search for his mother. Naoru spent time entertaining the children. Everyone, except InuYasha of course, ate dinner. Sesshomaru tucked the kids into bed while Naoru and Koga retired for the night. Once everyone was asleep, Sesshomaru went into his office to try and finish signing some of the documents he was neglecting on while catering to InuYasha's needs. About an hour or two passed and Sesshomaru finished about 49 documents when he began worrying about InuYasha again. Yes, even though he was half-demon, InuYasha should have already been back to his full health by now. Sesshomaru could not understand why InuYasha was not healing on his own. It was definitely something he hoped that Naoru would be able to cure.
Sesshomaru had just finished his 50th document when he decided to retire to their bed for the night. Sesshomaru had just got up from his desk and was about to head for his door when Rin and Shippo busted into his office panting and sweating lightly.
"Children, what have I told you about running into any room without knocking?" Sesshomaru glared.
"We're sorry Father, but there's something wrong with Papa!" Rin yelled.
"What do you mean?" Sesshomaru asked with light panic in his voice.
"We went to check on him after you tucked us in, but he was gone! Rin and I went looking for him and found him. He was in the garden, but something was wrong! We tried calling for him but he wasn't answering us and it was his human night! We thought it was because he couldn't hear us, but when we tried to stop him, he wouldn't stop! It was like he was in a kind of trance or something!" Shippo explained with light tears in his eyes.
Sesshomaru cursed inwardly as he remembered that it was InuYasha's human night. That, Sesshomaru figured, played a big role in InuYasha's illness but he couldn't figure out why he was stuck in a trance. Unless~
"Damn that woman. She would not dare to do such a thing! Not to my mate!" Sesshomaru glared as he cursed, scaring the children. "Go wake Lord Koga and Naoru and tell them what is occurring right now. Stay with them until I come back with InuYasha. And tell Naoru to be ready to examine InuYasha when we return. Hurry!"
Rin and Shippo nodded before taking off. When Sesshomaru was sure they were safe, Sesshomaru took off towards the garden as fast as he could. When he reached the garden, Sesshomaru used his powerful nose to search for InuYasha. When he picked up his mate's scent, he took off in that direction again. When he was getting closer, he slowed to a stop when he realized that there was another scent overpowering InuYasha's.
"Mother…" Sesshomaru growled as he clenched his fists.
"Sesshomaru, so nice to see you again. How are you, son?" InuKimi smirked with one hand holding her magical flute and the other holding onto InuYasha's left shoulder.
"I told you to never return to my palace nor to touch my mate or family. You have violated my orders for the last time. Release him at once and leave peacefully or else, I will rip you limb from limb." Sesshomaru growled louder as he readied his claws.
"Sesshomaru! I am very shocked at you. Although I am proud of your commanding nature and attitude, I am disappointed that you have directed it at me. I am merely trying to correct your mistake. You see, dear son, I have been watching your little "family". I have noticed that this pathetic half-breed has not been feeling well as of late, poor thing. So, I have decided to take advantage of the night he was most vulnerable. And tonight… I shall finally get rid of the biggest mistake you've ever made. Now watch, as I rid you of this pathetic burden." InuKimi smirked before putting the flute to her lips and playing the song that was commanding InuYasha's movements.
Sesshomaru watched in horror as InuKimi commanded InuYasha to walk towards the edge of the cliff right behind the palace. What struck fear within Sesshomaru the most was that below the cliff was a rushing ocean with jagged rocks at the bottom.
"InuYasha! InuYasha, listen to me! You have to break free of my mother's music! InuYasha!" Sesshomaru called out, but cursed when InuYasha wasn't responding to him.
"Foolish son, you cannot simply break my spell by calling out to him. Once he is under my musical spell that is where he shall stay."
Thinking quickly, Sesshomaru rushed towards InuKimi and tried to attack. She managed to dodge him before using her right hand to pierce his shoulder and release some of her poison into his wound. Sesshomaru staggered back and fell to his knee while holding his wound.
"How are you able to use your poison, I cut off your supply." Sesshomaru grunted out while trying to stop the bleeding.
"Foolish son, you were only able to cut off my poison whip, not my supply. Didn't I ever teach you to make sure you injure your opponent to make sure you do it thoroughly?" InuKimi smirked as she turned back to InuYasha. "Now, dear son, say goodbye to your "mate"."
InuKimi played her flute long enough for InuYasha to walk to the edge of the cliff before releasing her spell. When she did that, InuYasha's body began to fall over the cliff's edges.
"InuYasha!" Sesshomaru yelled before sprinting towards his falling mate.
As he was sprinting to try and save InuYasha, he was removing his armor in an attempt to lighten his weight. When Sesshomaru was getting closer to InuYasha, he tried to reach of his mate, but wasn't close enough to reach him before they hit the water. From her position on top of the cliff, InuKimi looked down at the water with no feeling.
"Hm. What a pity. I did not want to be the one to end my son's life, but he choose that half-breed over his duties and his mother. And just like his father, he must pay the consequences. Goodbye, Sesshomaru."
InuKimi raised her flute to her lips and began playing another song. This song was able to lift the heavy boulders to her right and carry them over the cliff. When they were right above where InuYasha and Sesshomaru had fallen, she released the note and the boulders dropped. It was then that she knew that they had to have been dead from the jagged rocks below the cliff and from the boulders she just released on top of them. But, she had a feeling that her son might have found a way to save them.
"Hm, if he is still alive, then he's just as persistent as his worthless father. But, I am pretty sure that they are dead. If not, then I am going to have to wait and she their next move. But for now… I have won this battle."
And with that and a smirk, InuKimi turned away from the cliff and made her way back to her hiding place until she hears from her son and his pathetic mate.
