Blanc Base
One week later…
Everything had been perfect.
Chaos and GunEagle had been together for a week and, at least from what she could remember, it was one of the best weeks of her life. The Dark Axis hadn't attacked at all, not since her run in with Thiesel. It was a relaxing week and, even with their light patrol duties, the young pair always found lots of extra time to spend together. Chaos' favorite part of their new relationship was going back to their room at the end of each day because she knew that no matter how bad or hard the day was, he'd always be there waiting for her.
It was always nice waking up to his chipper grin every morning, too…
Which is something that Chaos knew she needed to do. Wake up. She wasn't in the mood, finding the warm bed to be way too comfortable to part with. She remained on her side, reaching over and shutting the alarm clock off after it chirped for a brief second, growling at it. "Stupid thing..."
Next to her GunEagle snorted and turned over, arm being thrown over her waist. He groaned and mumbled something incoherent, pulling her closer to his chassis. He nuzzled the back of her helm sleepily. He usually got up after the clock rang, ablite slowly, but lately he found it nicer to stay in bed and snuggle Chaos.
Chaos, with her optics shut, sleepily ran her hand up and down his forearm. She loved feeling that extra warmth on her back. "The Chief won't miss us today... I think..." She grumbled.
He mumbled something again, other arm coming around her waist so he was hugging her. "Mmm...I hope so...Don't wanna move..." He nuzzled her helm again, engine purring lightly, "Morning, Babe~"
"Good morning, Gun~" She hummed as she pulled up one of his hands briefly, kissing it. Chaos turned her helm slightly to look to him from the corner of her optics. "Did you sleep good?"
The flier finally opened his optics, still heavy with sleep, and smiled lazily at her. "Heh...yeah...Always do next to you~" He kissed the side of her helm before sighing sleepily and closing his optics again.
The smaller femme chuckled, feeling him settling back down. An idea suddenly crossed her mind and she smirked to herself. Chaos shifted her hips forward and then suddenly, and harshly, rocked them backwards and bumping against his.
GunEagle groaned and cracked his optics open, "Playful this morning, eh?" To retaliate he slowly trailed a digit up and began to circle her soul stone. He nuzzled the side of her helm before adjusting slightly to be able to lightly suck on her neck cables.
Chaos shivered. She reached behind her and clutched his thigh, dragging her digit across it and making sure to wiggle her hips playfully. "Mmm, just a little~"
He chuckled and wrapped his leg around hers. His other hand trailed down and he gently pinched her hip before rubbing her leg. He blew hot air onto her neck cables, his hips rutting upward against her aft. "Good~ Cause I think I am too."
"Really," she sighed, armor quivering to his touch. She then pinched his thigh and rubbed her leg against his, arching into him. "And just how playful are we~?"
He shuttered lightly as she touched him and nibbled her neck. "Oooh, I'm not sure..." He suddenly adjusted their positions so he was straddling her. He smirked down at her before sucking on her neck cables again. He gave them one long lick, "I think I'm up for just about anything~"
"Oh~" She shivered horribly and clutched his hips, squirming underneath him. "You-you're in luck. So am I~"
He grinned down at her, optics dark now with lust, before kissing her deeply. His glossa slipped into her mouth as he dragged a hand to the inside of her thigh and slowly trailed it upward toward her valve. He pulled back to nibble her chin, hips wiggling against hers.
Chaos began to lightly moan, reaching up and clutching his back. She spread her legs and anticipated his next move when…
"Will Gundam Force members GunEagle and Chaos please report to the hanger immediately..."
Chaos' engine sputtered. "Are you kidding..."
GunEagle groaned, and not in a good way, "Really?" He looked back down at Chaos, a frown now on her face and sighed. "Guess we better get going..." He so didn't want to get out of bed. He nuzzled the side of her helm gently before whispering in her audios, "We'll finish this later." He then went to move off of her.
Chaos frowned back and closed her legs, rubbing her face tiredly. "Primus, that was the worst timing..." She rolled onto her stomach and slid out of the bed, making sure to readjust her armor before leaving. "Are you all set to go?"
"Frell…sort of..." He got up and stretched, wings flaring outward. He then walked around the bed and quickly grabbed her before kissing her lips. He smirked at her, "Now I am~"
"Good. Hopefully this won't take too long. I didn't plan on getting out of bed for a while..." She grabbed his hand and exited their room. She walked as quickly as she could, curious as to why they were called to the hanger. "Do you have any idea as to what's going on?"
He walked along with her, shaking his head, "Nope. Not a clue." He looked around to make sure no one was around before he blew hot air onto her helm and lowered his voice, "And believe me, Babe, I wasn't planning on letting you get out of bed for a while~"
Chaos giggled and elbowed him. "Gun, not out here! Save that for the bedroom..."
He chuckled, "But why~?" He held her around her waist as they walked on. "But I guess I can try to be good." The flier kissed her helm again before grabbing her hand and walking down the staircase that led to the hanger.
"Oh you know why, you flirt..." The femme couldn't help but to laugh... but something hit her. Her smile turned into a frown and she shuttered slightly. "Hey, you don't think there's a problem with the Dark Axis, do you?"
He looked at her in surprise and smiled gently at her. "I'm not gonna lie, it could be. But don't worry, Babe." He tugged her down the rest of the stairs before hugging her. "Whatever does happen, I'll make sure you're safe."
Chaos hugged him back tightly, kissing the side of his helm. It felt like she'd never let go... "Thanks. And don't forget that I have your back too, no matter what."
He bumped their helms together, "Got it~" He kissed her faceplate gently before going around the corner to the main part of the hanger. He spotted Juli standing by a gunperry and went over to her, gently tugging Chaos with him. "Hey, Juli. What's up?"
"Ah, there you two are," the women replied as she turned around to face them. "Chief Haro couldn't be here to give you a proper debriefing, but a portal has been opened in Sector Seven. You and Chaos are to scout the area immediately..."
"Dark Axis, I take it?" Chaos inquired.
"I'm afraid so."
GunEagle gently squeezed Chaos's hand, "Don't worry. We'll be fine." He winked at Chaos before nodding to Juli, "We'll leave straight away. Got anything else we should know about?"
"I wish that we did have more information for you," the women sighed. She looked to her clipboard and took down a few notes. "We're not even sure who's there. Use extreme caution until you understand the situation."
Chaos gave the women a firm nod before heading towards the gunperry. "Right, thanks Juli."
GunEagle followed and waved at Juli, "We'll report back later and call in if we need back-up." He got into the gunperry with Chaos and waited for it to take off.
It's engines hummed to life before slowly rising into the air and shifting forward. The air craft left the hanger fairly quickly and made its way over to the designated coordinates...
Chaos shook out her hands and prepared for be dropped off by the perry. This was going to be her first real fight with the Dark Axis. She couldn't consider her run-in with Thiesel a real conflict... "Hey, are you ready for this?"
GunEagle gave her a thumbs up, "Absolutely!" He watched her get warmed up and smiled behind his face plate. He was happy to see her getting pumped up for this and hoped she'd be okay. And if that vampire showed up he'd make sure to keep him away from her no matter what.
It didn't take long for the gunperry to begin its landing stages. The Gundams looked out and saw nothing but rolling, green hills. They were at a field. Surprisingly they couldn't see any signs of the Dark Axis, not that Chaos was going to complain. As soon as the air craft got low enough, Chaos jumped out and landed gracefully. Her knees bent and she slowly stood up and surveyed the area. "Huh, no one's here?"
GunEagle followed and showed off a bit by igniting his thrusters a bit and landing nicely. He joined her in looking around and saw she was right. "Huh...that's odd...Think they left?" He flipped down his visor and scanned the area, trying to find any Dark Axis.
There was a sudden, horrible, explosion right at their feet sending the pair flying through the air. Chaos and GunEagle were blasted in opposite directions, the femme landing on her head and rolling. She grabbed her back of her helm as she laid on her stomach, her CPU reeling. "Ouch- what the pitt was that?"
She looked up.
Grappler Gouf and Destroyer Dom were standing on the hill above them, weapons at the ready.
Grappler's arm had just finished firing a missile and it folded neatly back into place. "Just WHAT the slag is going on here?!"
GunEagle groaned and sat up, processor reeling. He shook his head and glared at the duo. "Dude! Not cool!" He stood up and reached for his beam canon, holding the weapon steady in his hand, ready to point and shoot at anytime. "You okay over there, Chaos?!" He called over to her, optics locked on Gouf and Dom.
The larger Axian meanwhile was watching Chaos, not caring about the puny gundam, a few guns in his hands and his trusty gallop behind him. He wasn't really sure what to think of Chaos working for the enemy.
Chaos stood and reached for her saber. "I'm fine-"
Grappler cut her off. He seemed furious. "Chaos, where the frell have you been?!" He stopped and his expression fell, realization slowly creeping into his processor. "Are you-working with the enemy?"
Dom watched Chaos intently, "Why leave?" GunEagle frowned behind his face plate, "Maybe because you were going to force her to bond with a vampire?!" Dom growled and glared at GunEagle, "Little gundam stay out of this."
"Because I wanted to! It's none of your business as to why I left!" Chaos had always liked Dom in the past, but now things were different. They were enemies. That and she didn't appreciate him snapping at GunEagle.
Grappler frowned. He knew what this meant. She had left and sided with the enemy at her own free will, not because of being reprogrammed. That wouldn't do. It was a death sentence for her and he knew that there was only one option left…
"Dom," he whispered, still locking his optic onto the pair. "I'll take care of the flier, you get Chaos. She'll have to be brought back in one piece, and then maybe we can convince that Commander that she was reprogrammed or influenced by the enemy. Remember, NOT A SCRATCH ON HER."
Dom nodded and slowly made to go slightly around Chaos to grab her. GunEagle meanwhile held up his beam canon, watching the two intently. He knew something was up when they started to move and started to move toward Chaos. She'd be their main focus so he's make sure she was protected.
Grappler crept in the opposite direction of Destroyer, hoping to catch GunEagle's attention. Seeing that he wasn't paying any to him, he threw his heavy shield at the flier and clocked him directly in the helm with it. When the Gundam fumbled backwards Grappler charged him and tackled him to the ground, forcing his sword to the other's neck cables...
Chaos remained in a defensive position, her beam saber poised and ready for use. She tried to keep her pedes light, knowing very well that she couldn't beat Dom in a battle of strength. Her only advantage over him was her speed. Out of the corner of her optics she saw GunEagle get tackled her spark lurched.
"GUNEAGLE!"
GunEagle groaned and soon glared at Grappler. He tried to keep as still as he could, as to not help the sword poke him. He growled up at Grappler, "She doesn't want to go back with you! So stay the frell away from her!"
Dom took the moment of distraction to grab Chaos. He didn't hold her too tightly but enough to keep her from escaping. "You come home. Little gundam then be okay."
"Don't listen to him, Chaos!" GunEagle called, having heard Dom grab her. "I can get out of this!"
Grappler hissed at the younger mech, pressing the blade closer to his throat. Traces of energon leaking from his neck cables as the sharp edge brushed past GunEagle's neck. "QUIET! THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!"
Chaos had yelped lightly when Dom grabbed her. Furious, she swung around and tried to swipe at him with her beam saber, engine roaring viciously. "L-let go of me, Dom! That is NOT my HOME! I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE!"
"She's an SDG member so it is my business." GunEagle grunted. His breathing was shallow, trying not to let Grapplers sword go any deeper.
Dom dodged the saber and held onto her tighter, looking down at her with a sad optic. "Dom miss Chaos...Chaos come back."
Chaos paused. "Dom..." The huge mech's expression took her completely by surprised, even making her a little sad. "I can't go back..."
"Of course you can!"
Chaos snapped her helm around and saw Grappler poised over GunEagle. She hadn't seen just how bad of a situation her flier had gotten himself into. The femme sputtered, fighting against Dom again and desperate to get to GunEagle. Primus forbid he got hurt... "Grappler, leave him alone! He's got nothing to do with this!"
"Oh~? What, you like him or something?" The cobalt mech sneered back at her. When her expression failed to change his optic widened. "... NO. You're not- don't you DARE tell me that you two are-!"
GunEagle took that moment to jam his ped under Grappler and kicked him away. He stood up and held a hand to his neck cables, luckily he wasn't bleeding terribly. "What? Don't want Chaos with someone she actually loves?!" He didn't care that they knew, Chaos was staying right here.
Dom watched Chaos struggle, She liked that gundumb...?
Grappler tumbled backwards, but rolled onto his back and back onto his feet. When he got to the crouch position he rushed forward, growling at the flier and shoving him as hard as he could. When the younger mech stumbled back he began to throw furious punches at him."You little slagger!"
Chaos, frustrated that Dom's grip hadn't let up, snapped her head back and retracted her faceplate, spitting directly into his optic. She'd hoped that the move would get him to let go of her long enough so that she could slip away.
Dom whined and dropped Chaos, hands going to clear his optic.
GunEagle did his best to block Grapplers punches, his beam rifle having fallen from his grip. He grunted as some of his punches hit home and had tried to hit some back. He would've flown upward but not with Grappler practically on top of him.
Chaos picked up a rock as she danced away from Dom and threw it at his helm as hard as she could. The blow made the mech disoriented for a brief moment and it gave Chaos a chance to charge at him, crouching down and swinging a ped at Dom's ankles with the intentions of tripping him.
"ACK!" A punch hit Grappler right in the vent and the squadron leader fumbled back slightly. Enraged, he lurched forward and grabbed the flier's helm, head butting him. "You're an idiot! She's got bigger and better things waiting for her back in Axia than here, you pile of slag!"
Dom whined again and clutched his helm, "Oowww..." Chaos's ped made contact and the large mech fell down. He groaned and wiggled around trying to get back up quickly.
GunEagle felt his head wheel around after the head butt, at least now he knew where Chaos learned it from. He glared at Grappler, anger starting to get the better of him. "Oh? Like an abusive vampire who she's being forced to bond with. Who tried to rape her and change into one of those things?! Against her will?!" The flier panted, "I don't think so. She belongs here!"
Grappler flexed his vent to spit something back, but stopped. "Wait, what did he-URK!"
Chaos had disengaged her fight with Destroyer and ran to GunEagle's aid. She leapt onto Grappler's back and, using her forearm, tried to choke the larger mech out. GunEagle had never seen her so angry, so vicious- it was like a switch had gone off. "I TOLD you to leave him alone!"
"D-DOM!" Grappler coughed, trying to reach around and rip her off. "I thought you had her under control!"
Dom was still rolling around the grass, trying to get up but not having any luck. It was possible the rock Chaos has thrown had rattled something around in his head.
GunEagle panted, before grabbing his beam saber and holding it out. "Get out of the way, Chaos!" He wasn't intending on doing anything drastic, at most he just wanted to injure Grappler enough so they would retreat but he didn't want Chaos in the way.
"What?" Chaos looked to the flier, loosening her grip on Grappler's throat...
Grappler suddenly reached over his shoulder and grabbed her by her helm, flipping her over onto her back and quickly kicking up his sword. He pointed it directly at her helm but kept optic contact with GunEagle. It was very clear that he wasn't happy. "Let us go in one piece and she'll walk away from this intact. If you move my servo might just slip..." He was really hoping that he wouldn't have to hurt the smaller femme, but GunEagle might not give him much of a choice.
The flier froze, optics wide at the sight of that sword by Chaos's helm. He gulped, shaking slightly, "D-don't hurt her. Just leave her here and go." He had no idea what to do, but he wasn't going to let them take her.
Dom had finally sat up and was watching the standoff. He didn't want Grappler to hurt Chaos.
Grappler didn't take his optics off the other mech as he slowly reached down and hoisted Chaos up by the scruff of her back plating. He brought her close and poised the blade by her neck, mimicking the move he'd done to GunEagle earlier on during their conflict. He slowly began to back away... "Like I said, don't move."
Chaos reached down to pull the blade away, but that only encouraged Grappler to pull it in closer. She shuttered when it grazed past her neck cables. Her optics were widened, it was painfully obvious that she was scared."GunEagle..."
GunEagle's spark was racing. He was trying to come up with any idea to get her away from him but nothing was coming. His optics stayed locked on Chaos's as he racked his CPU.
Dom watched the scene, feeling...oddly about the whole thing. He didn't want Chaos to be hurt more than bringing her home and he never thought he'd think that. He got up and rolled over to Grappler, gallop following. He got behind Grappler, who was too busy paying attention to what he was doing to really notice him. The large Axian raised his hand, not really sure what he was doing before slapping Grappler on the helm, hard enough to knock him out.
GunEagle watched with a stunned expression as the cobalt mech crippled and fell down, letting go of Chaos. "Dude..."
Chaos was dropped and she fell onto her stomach. She wasn't sure as to what happened and figured that Grappler accidentally let her go. She rushed to get back up and scrambled to GunEagle, panicked and alert. "Oh gods! Gun!"
She instinctively grabbed onto his arm and swung around, expecting to see a very flustered and angry Grappler, but instead he was face first in the grass. Dom seemed completely fine.
It took Chaos a while to understand what had happened, but when it did her optics widened and she stared at the huge mech. "Dom?"
GunEagle wrapped his arm around Chaos's waist and pulled her to him, optics watching Destroyer.
The purple mech shifted from ped to ped before picked up Grapplers limp body and draping it over his shoulder. "...Still want Chaos back...but don't want Chaos hurt so...little gundam can have her right now. Chaos come home by herself..." He then turned and walked toward the portal that was opening behind him. He turned back slightly and waved to the femme before disappearing, carrying the unconscious Grappler and gallop following faithfully.
GunEagle watched them go, confused and wondering just what the frell had happened before suddenly pulling Chaos to him, hugging her tightly. "Oh Primus, Babe...Tell me you're alright."
"I'm-I'm fine," she replied as she hugged him back. She seemed to a little upset, but she was more confused than anything. "That was very... strange. What the hell happened?"
"No clue. The big guy just came up and whacked Gouf." He took a deep, shaky breath. "I'm...really glad he did though..." His spark was still racing and he squeezed her a bit tighter. How did Zero stand this whenever he and Shining were on the field?
"I'm glad he did too..." Chaos kissed the side of his helm and rubbed his back to help settle him down when she noticed something. Energon was dripping down the front of his chassis. She pulled away from him and saw small cuts along his neck. She instantly put a hand on it to help slow down the bleeding. "Primus, Gun! You're bleeding! Gods, you're hurt..."
He looked down and blinked, it must not have stopped what with all the attack dodging. "Hey..." He placed his hand on top of hers, "I'm fine...just a few little cuts. Nothing that can't be fixed up. I've gotten worse during training." He rubbed his thumb over the back of her helm, looking down at her. "I'm fine. It's you I'm worried about. You're not hurt are you?"
"No, I'm fine. A few scratches and bumps, but that's it..." Chaos looked relieved that he seemed to be okay, minus the slash to his neck, but her expression fell. She suddenly seemed to be lost in thought. "I'm just- I'm glad that you're okay. You could've really been hurt."
He rubbed her back and nuzzled her helm, "Hey...everything's okay now. I'm just fine...and so are you." He hugged her tightly as he sent a message to have a gunperry come and get them. He placed a kiss on her helm and revved his engine lightly, hoping to keep her calm.
Chaos was still lost, so much so that she didn't even hug him back. She wasn't worried about herself, she was worried about him. They knew how important he was to her now and that put him at risk. She'd never be able to forgive herself if he got hurt...
The roar of a very familiar engine could be heard approaching and, almost within minutes of calling it, the gunperry arrived. It was obvious that it never left the area, and Chaos was thankful for that. She had a problem building on her chest and the sooner she got it out of her conscious the better.
After minutes of not saying a word, Chaos finally spoke up. "Hey, GunEagle?"
The flier looked down at her, optics reflecting his worry. "Yeah...What's up, Babe?" The perry had landed and was waiting for them to get on.
"When we get back to the base... we need to talk," Chaos said in a low, tired tone. She held his hand and led him towards the airship, eager to end the day.
GunEagle stopped dead in his tracks, hand squeezing hers. He stared at with wide optics, knowing what 'we need to talk' meant. She couldn't be serious?! His spark squeezed painfully. "...Huh? W-what...?"
Chaos was yanked to a stop with him and she looked back to him , frowning slightly. She looked sad. "N-not here. We've got to get your neck looked at first..." The femme then let go of his hand and walked to the gunperry, climbing in and leaving him behind.
GunEagle watched her go, spark beating quickly. He slowly and stiffly followed her, soon getting on the perry. The ride back to base was silent and awkward. Chaos barely made eye contact and he couldn't stop staring at her, wondering what he did. Everything had been fine that morning...and to think it was only early afternoon.
Chaos eyed the base as it came into view. She felt horrible for what she was going to tell him, and it hurt her spark to even think about the situation. She had the urge to protect him, and she felt the only way she could do that was if they weren't- she had stop thinking about it. It was making her fuel tank lurch.
The gunperry promptly landed in the hanger and its engines died down, allowing the Gundams to step off. "You should go see Kao Lyn about your neck," Chaos huffed, not looking at the flier. "I'll- be in our room when you're done. I've got to take care of a few things."
He tried to say something...anything but only a squeak came out. He watched her go, just knowing she was gonna be moving her few belongings out, it had to be it. He hung his, optics stinging for some reason and walked to the med bay to have his neck bandaged.
