(A/N)- Due to the greatest review I have ever received, I will now lay "the knowledge" upon thee.
Question: "Can the Solar Knights kill the Blackened Souls without them reverting to their Grimm state?" Answer: No. You must burn the body of a Blackened Soul. Or remove the head. Safest to do both.
Question: Will one of the main four Blackened Souls die eventually? Answer: That is my little secret.
Question: Is a turned Blackened Soul able to augment the grimm, or simply only able to control them. Answer: A little of both. They gain increased strategy, can actually perform well with other grimm with tactics. But all in all, the Blackened Soul is simply a controller.
Thank you, guest reviewer Kane.
Enjoy the content, my friends.

Illium pushed open the door to his expansive study, and Aurora caught the heavy wooden door before it closed. Radiant followed right behind her, still carrying his mace on his shoulder. Aurora continued walking with Illium, while Radiant took a seat quietly in the corner of the room.
"You can not be serious Illium. Your own brother. He is only the seventh. How could you be so foolish?" Aurora said, her voice quiet but powerful. She was fuming, and her face was as red as her hair.
Illium spun on his heel, causing Aurora to bump into his massive chest. "You will not call me foolish again." With that he turned back around, and sat behind his desk.
"I am sorry, my First… But you must understand. You would send our weakest member after four monsters by himself?"
"Lumen can handle it, Aurora. He has come a long way in his training. He has surpassed Gleam by far, and I have no doubt that he could best Lucent. Lumen can handle it, now I suggest you handle yourself." Illium replied, exasperated. He put his head in his hands and then removed his helmet. There was a flash of light as he did so, his semblance releasing. He looked up at his two most trusted friends with his metallic gold eyes. His skin was almost blinding it was so pale. And his hair was a shade more gold than white.
"I am sorry for my outburst, friends. For you, Aurora, I will send an escort. Lumen, and a half-dozen Sunstriders of your choosing. Does that seem sufficient?" He stood and held his hands out in question, enthusiasm in his tone.
"I don't know… I still don't like this. He is still too young." Spoke Aurora worriedly, looking down at her boots.
"I think it will suffice." Said the third, Radiant. "The boy needs to prove himself at some point." He popped his neck without effort, the sound echoing against the high ceiling of the tower top office. "May I suggest substituting Gleam for two of those Sentinels? The two work well together." He stood and walked to the other side of the room. He picked up Illium's ceremonial dagger, and held it up to the other two. "A signing, then?"
"Agreed." Illium took the dagger from Radiant, and removed his left gauntlet. There was another flash of light as the energy trapped behind his armor was released. His skin was still just as pale, although his hand was lined with pale pink scars, marks of past signings. Illium gripped the dagger with his unarmored hand, and squeezed the blade into his own palm. Blood ran bright red against the silver of the white steel dagger. Illium offered the blade to Aurora.
She shook her head. "No, I will not sign. I do not agree this time."
"If that is what you wish." Illium offered the blade to Radiant. Radiant removed his gauntlet, his palm showing scars to match Illiums. He took the blade in his hand.
"As a third." Radiant mumbled solemnly, but powerfully.
"As the first." Said Illium, in unison with Radiant.
"We give our blood." Radiant added, pressing the blade to his unprotected hand.
"To pay for the shedding of others." Illium said. Radiant slid the knife down his palm, joining his blood with the First's.
"May this decision fall upon us, Radiant." Illium offered Radiant his bloodied hand.
"A signing of good faith to us, and ill callings to the dark." Radiant took his hand and grasped it firmly, finishing the signing.
"May your follies be forgiven…" Aurora muttered. She stood, and left Illium's study, leaving her companions still at the table.
A little tease of some Solar Knight decision making. These encounters will arise again. Short chapter, but incredibly important. Thank you again, guest reviewer, for your compliments and your ideas about the story. You are closer than you think *wink* Leave a handy little review. Tell me what I have done wrong, or what you think is great! We can work together to make this story fantastic.
Editors note: the Sunstriders and the Sentinels are the same things! I just thought I'd clarify for you all /u\ the official name of the guards is the Sunstrider Sentinels.
