A/N: Hey people! Congratulations on making it this far! Now the last chapter got pretty steamy unexpectedly, however I'm gonna hold out on relocating the fic to the M rating for a few chapters and you'll realize why when the time comes. Thank you to my ONE reviewer of last chapter (: for your continuing support and as always READ AND REVIEW!

P.S. Emphasis on the REVIEW.

Stevie slipped back into the room with enough time to collect herself before Kacey came barreling back in with a handful of pizzas and whatever else she ordered. She climbed onto the bed, mindful of the step, and settled in, careful not to put too much pressure on her center. In a few seconds she heard the soft patter of footsteps closing in.

"Oh. Good. You took forever in the bathroom, I thought you might've fallen in." Kacey grinned as she set the food down on the bed and hopped up.

"Spaced out," Stevie offered. "Never seen a bathroom that nice."

Kacey laughed as she flipped up the top of the pizza box, "Let's eat. I asked for plates too."

Stevie shrugged and grabbed a plate, not being particularly hungry she only grabbed one slice and two buffalo wings.

"What's wrong?" Kacey tilted her head as she chewed thoughtfully. "Ooo you saw that text from your mom?"

"What'd she say?" Stevie's head snapped up.

"This was your weekend to be with your dad and you knew it. She said to call him and let him know you're not coming. But you're going next weekend and that's final."

Stevie groaned, "I hate everything right now."

"You're gonna miss me that much? Aww." Kacey placed her hand over her heart. Stevie just silently shook her head, exasperated. "Oh no please don't get upset. We're having such a good time. Come on eat," Kacey raised a slice to her lips. "Pretty please. It's good."

Stevie took a small bite, more to appease Kacey than anything else. Kacey and I just started spending more time together and things are going well with the band, dads just gonna ruin all of th- "Wow this is really good." Stevie's eyes widened as Kacey nodded knowingly.

"It's the jalapeƱo. It gives it that something extra." she gushed. "I get the same thing every time and I've never had a bad experience."

Stevie chuckled, "You're so adorable when you're hungry."

"Thank you," Kacey grinned. "When I would order pizza with the Perfs we would all get one slice and then silently wonder who would be the first to reach for the second."

Stevie burst out laughing, "That sounds awful!"

"It was," Kacey assured with her mouth full. "Nobody wanted to be that person."

"You got a little.." Stevie pointed to her mouth to indicate the trail of pizza sauce Kacey had from the corner of her mouth to her chin.

"What?" Kacey's brow furrowed. Stevie shook her head and reached out, wiping up the offending line of sauce with a napkin. "Sorry I'm such a mess. I don't usually eat like this." Kacey flushed in embarrassment.

"Well what's the occasion?" Stevie chucked.

Kacey tried to suppress a smile. "I just feel like I can be myself around you. I don't need the pretense. Feels good to relax."

Stevie melted at her words, "Aww Kace.." Once again she felt that familiar urge to lean in and kiss her raven haired best friend, but she held back. Though Kacey had accepted her feelings and offered the tentative prospect of a relationship, she still hadn't made any moves on Stevie or gave any indication that she was accepting of any advances Stevie thought to make. Which only made everything that much more confusing.

"Stop it." Kacey looked down at her plate, "I guess it's safe to say things are going much better than they did last weekend. And I hope me saying that out loud doesn't jinx anything."

"I'm having an awesome time with you. I hate it when we're fighting."

"Me too." Kacey sat up on her knees. I'm so sorry about last time. Let's promise to talk things out from now on."

"I promise." Stevie nodded.

"Me too. I promise." Kacey leaned forward quickly and planted a kiss on Stevie cheek.

Stevie beamed and held her cheek, "I shall cherish this kiss fair maiden."

"Stopppp." Kacey pleaded, "You're gonna make me blush."

"Oh I would pay to see that."

"Can you just find something to watch on TV, please?"

Stevie grabbed the remote from the foot of the bed and clicked through a few channels hoping to settle on something they both liked. She frowned when she couldn't find anything. "You're right. Nothing but garbage."

"See." Kacey sucked her index finger.

"What are you eating now? Smells cinnamon-y."

Ugh"This cinnamon bun thing. I don't know. I just ordered it because I was hungry," Kacey giggled. "Wanna taste it?"

"Sure."

Kacey ripped a piece off with her fingers and held it up to Stevie's lips. "Open." Stevie obediently dropped her jaw as Kacey slid the confection between her lips. "Good right?"

"Mmhm." Stevie nodded in agreement, as Kacey pulled her fingers away and sucked them once more.

Shit she's so hot.. Stevie licked her lips.

"Well I don't know about you but I'm ready for a shower. I have extra clothes you can wear for the night." Kacey began closing up the food boxes.

"Yeah, thanks."

"I'll get them in a second. I'm gonna put this food up and check all the doors."

"Sure you don't want me to come with you?" Stevie offered, "Seems kinda creepy here at night all by yourself."

"You know what you're absolutely right." Kacey laughed nervously. "Watch my back."

Stevie slid off the side of the bed and took a long look at Kacey's backside. "With pleasure," she murmured following closely behind.

"You are too much." Kacey shook her head disapprovingly, grinning all the while.

"You like the attention." Stevie said matter of factly. Geez when did you go into flirt mode?

"Hush," Kacey giggled as she bounced down the back steps. "Out of curiosity, if you were to go to college, which three would you be interested in?"

"Well, I'd wanna stay close to my mom. So.. Anaheim U, UCLA, or Cal State."

"Stevie you have the rest of your life to latch onto your mother's nipples. College is a rite of passage! We are entitled to our freedom and to $2 drafts on Thursday's."

"I guess so," Stevie shrugged tip toeing behind as she climbed on a bar chair. "Sounds nice."

"Me? I can't wait to leave here," Kacey opened the fridge and slipped the pizza boxes inside. "No more Brewster High, no more Molly and the 'Perf's' I'm free to be just Kacey you know? A whole new stage."

"You sound like a small town girl trying to make it in a big city." Stevie snorted, erupting in giggles.

"Shut up," Kacey snapped, "Just check the backdoor and make sure it's locked."

"Oh no, I followed you down here strictly to supervise." Stevie depanned.

Kacey cut her eyes and threw Stevie a look cold enough to kill. Oh shit! Stevie jumped off her stool and took off for the stairs with Kacey barreling closely behind her.

"Leave me alone!" she shrieked, laughing as she tripped up the steps.

"You little shit!" Kacey hissed swiping at the hem of Stevie's shirt.

Stevie managed to make it Kacey's room unscathed and tried quickly to shut the door but it was no use, Kacey was too close. She rammed the door one good time knocking Stevie on her back and tumbling down on top of her.

"Ow!" they whined simultaneously.

Stevie winced and rubbed her forehead. Despite being in pain, she and Kacey were once again in a compromising position. "You know, if you spend anymore time in my lap I'll have to start charging you rent."

Kacey sneered and hopped up, offering Stevie a hand. "You're such a smart ass."

"At your service babe," Stevie winked.

Across the room Kacey's phone began to vibrate loudly and Kacey dove for it like her life depended on it. "It's Dean!" she cried.

'It's Dean!' Stevie mimicked, rolling her eyes. What does he want?

Kacey answered the call and did her best rendition of being casual, despite him not being able to actually see her. "Deann," she drew out, "What an unexpected surprise." Stevie rolled her eyes once more. "Nothing I'm doing nothing. Why, what are you doing?"

"Uh," Stevie gestured to herself, "What am I? Cauliflower?"

Kacey held a finger up to Stevie's lip. "Yeah. That sounds cool. Uh uh. I'd love to! See you soon. Bye-bye." Kacey ended the call and released the loudest shriek known to man.

Stevie grimaced and covered her ears. "Geez, what happened?"

"Dean wants me to sit with him at lunch! Oh my god do you know what this means?!" Stevie blinked. "First of all, hellooo? Cute? And second, this could be the move that pulls Gravity 5 out of obscurity! With the jock vote we're a shoo-in to play at prom! I knew it! I knew this was our year!"

Stevie sighed and fell back on the bed, "He's really not that cute."

"Don't be a hater. I'll invite you sometimes too."

"I don't care about the dumb jock table." she wiped a non-existent crumb from her shirt.

Kacey dove for her best friend, snuggling up beside her and burying her face in her neck. "Oh Stevie please please please let me have this. PLEASE. Please be happy for me."

Even annoyed Stevie instantly felt hot as Kacey settled into her embrace. It seemed like she fit there so perfectly and her hair was so soft.. Literally if this happens one more time I'm not responsible she thought to herself. I swear she's doing this on purpose..

"Stevie!"

The fog in her brain cleared away for but a moment like the sun playing hide and seek behind the clouds. She licked her lips as she focused in on Kacey's. They were so close Stevie could feel her breath on her skin. Her eyes darted up to meet Kacey's briefly as her tone suggested that she had called her name more than once.

"Are you listening to me?"

Stevie took a quick breath through her teeth and pressed her lips against her caramel-skinned best friend, not daring to stop and think about her actions or she undoubtably would've chickened out. Just as quickly as it left the fog came back, encompassing her like she was slipping underwater. Kacey's lips tasted like cinnamon and it was all she could do not to moan. Before she knew it Kacey kissed back, rivaling her intensity. Stevie brought a hand up to cup Kacey's chin as she deepened the kiss slowly shifting her position as she hovered above her. Stevie broke the kiss briefly to kiss down Kacey's jaw and nibble her neck.

"Ahh.." Kacey moaned. It was the first sound made in two whole minutes.

Stevie flipped her hair to one side, tucking a loose strand behind her ear as she dove into another kiss. Kacey balled the fabric of Stevie's shirt into her hands and held onto it as if it were the one thing that could stop her from unraveling. She felt as if she were melting right into her mattress. Stevie's lips were so soft and her mouth was hungry for any bit of interaction.

"Uhh.." Kacey whimpered as Stevie bit her bottom lip hungrily. Stevie was in full-on attack mode. She sat up, never breaking the kiss between them, and strategically placed her knee in between Kacey's thighs. Panting heavily she bit Kacey's lip once more, pulling it in-between her teeth, orchestrating beautiful moans from the darker girl but she wanted more. Releasing Kacey's lip Stevie moved her assault to Kacey's neck as she slid her knee up higher.

Kacey instinctively tried to close her legs as best as she could as she felt Stevie's knee come closer and closer to her most intimate place. "Please," she whined, unsure of what she was even asking. Did she want Stevie to stop? Did she want her to keep going? How had things escalated so quickly?

Stevie quickly made a decision for her as she intertwined her fingers with Kacey pressing their hands down on the bed as she pushed one final time and made contact with her center. "Oh my God.." Kacey breathed sharply as her eyes flew open. Instinctively her hips bucked and her center relished the contact. She bit her lip and blushed as she felt herself begin to cream. "Stevie.." she whimpered, squirming, which only made it worse. "Fuck.." she whispered to herself.

Stevie was on cloud nine as she felt Kacey tense and shudder underneath her. It felt like a dream come true. Not once but twice had Kacey kissed her back and this time Kacey hadn't run screaming out of the room. As amazing as it was to kiss her, Stevie wanted to focus on the pleasure she was inflicting upon her unsuspecting best friend. She pressed her knee a little harder into Kacey's warm center and bit her lip as the darker girl nearly levitated off the bed. All of her squirming was causing her skirt to once again bunch up around her hips, exposing her underwear. I wanna touch her so bad.. Stevie thought to herself as moonlight from the window illuminated the sweat on Kacey's forehead and the look of pleasure on her face.

Taking a shaky breath Stevie pushed Kacey's skirt a little higher for better access, stopping to plant little kisses on the caramel-skinned beauty. "I love the way your lips taste," she confessed as her heart pounded in apprehension of what she was about to do. With one last kiss she slid the pads of her fingers over Kacey's panty-clad pussy. Her eyes widened at the dampness of the fabric. She's so wet.. her mind growled and Stevie quickly felt her own center begin to throb with need. She slowly slid her fingers up and down her Kacey's underwear, familiarizing herself with the soft mound as Kacey's moans grew louder. Her body shook this way and that under the Stevie's slow steady fingers. "Do you like this?" she whispered.

Kacey groaned in response as she rolled her hips to make more friction. Whatever resolve she had was long gone as the only she wanted now was to reach her beautiful ending. She'd never been so wet in her life. With every swipe of her fingers Stevie forced moans and expletives from her lips. She felt like a bystander in her own body. It seemed like her lower half had completely taken ahold of her better judgment. When Stevie pressed harder onto her clit she thought she would come right then and there.

"Kacey.." came a faint voice from down the hallway.

"Wha.." Kacey panted.

"Kacey," the voice was clearer now.

"Oh my God that's my mom!" Kacey whisper yelled as she pushed Stevie off in one swift motion. "Fuck!"

"Ow!" Stevie cried out as she lost her balance and tumbled over the edge, hitting first the step then gracing the floor with a loud thud.

A rapid knock came at the door and before Kacey could get her bearings, it opened. "Honey did you hear me calling you?"

Kacey sat up, flushed. "No, sorry mom I must've dozed off." Kacey was sure her voice sounded shaky, like she was off put by the sudden intrusion.

Stevie took this as her cue to stand. "Yeah, you kicked me off the bed just now," she chuckled as she rubbed her back. "I could sue you know."

Kacey cut her eyes at Stevie as if to silently say now is not the time. "What is it though?" Kacey turned her attention back to her mother.

"The front door was unlocked. I told you to lock up. Finding two young girls home alone is a criminals wet dream. You need to be more responsible Kacey."

"I know. I'm sorry mom. We just got caught up in things and forgot," Kacey admitted.

"Yeah, caught up," Stevie echoed with a wry smile. "We're sorry."

"Be better next time girls." Lauren offered another look before closing the door.

Kacey waited until she heard footsteps receding before speaking. "Oh my God," she brought her hands up to cover her face, "My mom almost walked in on us. Oh my God."

"How's that for a rush?" Stevie joked.

"Again, not funny." Kacey rolled her eyes, "That was almost really bad."

"Really? Cause I thought it was pretty hot.." Stevie climbed on the bed and leaned in her a kiss.

Kacey scoffed and turned her head, "Seriously. Stop. What even happened just now?"

"Weren't you there?" Stevie shot back, a little wounded Kacey had dodged her advance. "Or was it that forgettable?"

"I'm just asking.." Kacey took a deep breath, "Where did all of that come from? You caught me totally off guard."

"Didn't read that way to me, you seemed to be enjoying yourself."

"I got caught up in the moment. You completely ambushed me. And that's not what we're talking about here." Kacey shook her head in confusion. "Why are you getting so defensive?"

"Why are you acting like I forced myself on you?" Stevie snapped.

"Uhh cause that's kinda what you did?"

Stevie choked out a laugh and shook her head. "Unbelievable!"

"What is!?"

Stevie snatched her bag and hurriedly threw her things inside of it, "Take me home."

"Wait aren't we going to discuss this!" Kacey was beyond taken aback at the turn of things.

"Take me home now." Stevie turned to face her shell shocked bestfriend.

"What is even happening right now? And why are you getting so angry?"

"Fine I'll walk." Stevie voiced, completely ignoring Kacey's plea as she marched to the door.

"We promised!" Stevie stopped in her tracks. "You promised.. that we would always talk. Now is one of those times."

Kacey hated the weakness in her voice but not as much as she hated to fight with Stevie. After their last sleepover turned out to be a disaster this one sort of had something to prove, and once again things weren't going well.

Stevie was unmoving. "You're not ready to have this talk Kacey. You don't realize it but you have some things to confront within yourself before we can have a real conversation about this. I had a great time tonight but I think it's best if I just leave."

"Can I atleast take you home?" Kacey bit her lip in anticipation.

Stevie finally turned to look at the caramel-skinned beauty. Kacey was standing timidly just a few feet behind, fiddling with the hem of her t-shirt, a look of worry on her face. Her skirt was still hiked up from their previous episode, her cheeks were flushed and her hair was mussed. She was irritatingly adorable.

"No. I need the time to think. Thank you for this though," she stepped closer and lifted Kacey's chin, placing a soft kiss on her cheek. "I'll see you at school on Monday." Stevie turned and opened the door to leave.

"Are we.. over?" Kacey shifted her weight from one leg to the other.

Stevie sighed and shook her head, "Kacey I don't think we ever were." And with that she left.

I'm starting to think sleepovers aren't working out for those two.. Why did Stevie react the way she did? And more importantly why doesn't Kacey have a lock on her room door? Find out in the next chapter. READ AND REVIEW.
