"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" black aura coated the mechanical man. Spark flew and gears kicked back into place. Raven moved her fingers as if she were reconnecting each wire and tuning every circuit. slowly the black cover relapsed back into the empaths mind. Cyborg opened his eye, while his cybertronic one illuminated red.
"Raven? Beastboy?" he said, his eyes shifting from one person to the next. Using her powers Raven opened the container to free her metal friend. Cyborg stepped out cautiously. "Raven?" The empath brought her hood down to rest at her shoulders.
"It's me" Large Strong arms wrapped around and crushed the girls small body. "My God, he did it. He brought you back!" Beastboy pushed out his chest and grinned ear to ear.
"Did you ever doubt me?" He said, giving his brother a side hug.
"Yes actually, we all thought you went into hiding for not being able to find her." Beastboys jaw dropped and he released a high pitched squeak. Raven smiled and tried to bite back a laugh. "Whoa, you laughed?"
"I've suppressed my powers for so long that my emotions can come out in a little at a time. It's made Happy quite...happy."
"Fine with me, but look we can have a family reunion later. Now we need to find the others, Bee should be close. They wouldn't move her far."
Beastboy morphed into a bloodhound and lifted a droopy ear to the dark cavern hall. "I can't hear anything over the loud vibrations." He said morphing back into his human form.
Raven began to levitate in her lotus position; while chanting her mantra a line of black magic formed a trail down the long hall. "She should be there. but we should hurry, that won't last long." On that note three heros Speed down the darkened pathway, lead by a green changeling. Raven saw how fast he was running, an how strong he had become; Both physically and mentally. He wore a new Uniform of long black pants,and a short sleeve t-shirt made of a nylon material, wrapped in a deep purple pattern. He still donned his normal boots, gloves and belt, but he had added something around his neck. A black rope chain which held an obsidian raven. When she saw the charm at the end her breath caught in her throat. 'does he wear that for me?'
Beastboy ran at full speed, right now he was still in his human form and ahead of both Cyborg and Raven, usually he was the slowest. He glanced back at Raven. Raven had traded her white cloak in for a blue one. Her hood was on casting a deep shadow over her face, her eyes always seemed so cold and black when she had her hood on. He assumed it was because she looked more intimidating. Her eyes at this moment showed a slight tinge of fear. 'This is all my fault...'
Robin using all his strength to try to free Starfire from her cage, the vibrations had only grown stronger, and large rocks were falling on top of her. "Starfire!" Robin screamed and looked around again for something to help free her from her prison. Rubble, all around him was rubble. His belt had been stripped from him.
"Robin!" Larger rocks began to fall, noticeable dents were made in her metal prison. Robin felt hopeless...alone...
"Raven..." Beastboy lagged back allowing Cyborg to take the lead. Raven stopped moving forward. She looked down, her cloak entirely covering her. Beastboy used a gloved hand to lift her chin to him. Amethyst met emerald, while her hood was pulled from her head.
"Beastboy, I was gonna let this wait for later, but once this is over, our time as teen titans, I want you to know, I have no intentions to continue being a hero...I..."
"What Raven? What is it?" he searched her fear filled eyes for an answer.
"I'm sick of it...this whole risking our lives for others...why is it so many other cities can manage with just a police force but heres Jump City, "oh no, we're helpless! Oh look teenage weirdos! They can save us!" well, no more dammit. I. Am. Sick. Of. It. I plan on working with the police force to fix their on problems, no more doughnuts, time for training. because the day I turn 20, I promise I quit. Beastboy I...I should be dead! I want to celebrate being alive, not risk my life again and again. I know it's what I signed up for...but..." her power drained once more, she fell limp onto the stone floors.
Beastboy pulled her into an embrace of love...and understanding. "Don't worry about it, because after you...ya know...we all felt the same way, and Robin is way ahead of ya." He kissed her forehead, took hold of her hand, and they began to run once more. 'It's good to be alive...'
Terra sat in the darkest corner of the cave...cowering in the cover of the shadows. "kill me...kill me...kill me..." She chanted over and over again. She felt Slades lips on her neck, she replayed his words over and over in her mind.
"Don't think your REALLY free...goodbye Terra..." she shivered
"KILL ME!" she screamed, sobbing she rocked back and forth, where was the girl the Titans had found in these mountains so long ago? she knew...she was bent, broken, distorted into some mangled soul. She was hopeless...Slades chains were still on her...she had no dignity.
"...Goodbye Terra..."
"KI-" she choked "KILL...KILL...SLADE! he doesn't control me! I proved that last time! My life is mine to live! I don't want to be HIS! I don't want to be a Titan! I wanna be me! So no...I don't want to die...I'm not gonna die tonight...ha...ha...Ha...Haha...HAHA..HAHAHAHAHA" Terra laughed maniacally, I'll show him now...
Terra heard the sound of a camera focusing...and saw the mechanical device pointed at her. "You trained a monster...your own personal psycho...ha...ha...well, get ready! Heres Terra!"
her eyes began to illuminate a bright gold. "Get ready for a fight..." with a scream of rage she plunged her fists into the stone, she felt the vibrations...in a far off part of the cavern. She screamed in pain and pure anger using everything in her to stop the earths unnatural movement.
Robin gave up, the earthquake would't stop...it was ov-...they stopped? He looked at the walls which had a familiar glow to them..."Terra..." he smirked..."Let's go..." Releasing a great warrior cry he charged at the cage, with a sickening snap the metal weakened. grimaceing he felt his shoulder. it was dislocated...he laughed, who cares? Robin popped the joint back into place, writhing in pain. He screamed louder with rage and pain charging once again at the cage.
*SNAP*
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"Robin?"
"STAR! HIT THE BARS!"
following the direction of his voice she swung her arms and felt the empowering feeling of the brittle bars shattering at her alien strength.
they both smiled...
'He understands, they understand. I guess thats what comes with being on a team for so long...'
Raven glanced at the two men racing ahead of her. Beastboy had once again taken the lead.
'What will happen to us? What will we do? We've always stood as one, what if we fail?'
Raven thought back to all they had been through...they never really separated. The one time they had, was for the brotherhood of evil...that was a terrible time. 'I guess, life will go on...times will be bad and good...I'm sure we will always stay friends...we cant let that one future happen...' she thought about Starfire journey to the future an shivered. that wouldn't happen would it?'
Cyborg was angry, His team was hurt and separated. His girl, she was gone...he knew it...he was done with this, all this...He wanted to find a home, a car shop. and settle down, with Bee.
"Bee sat in the small cage, in the small dark room, the cage was electric and her stingers had been taken. She wasn't afriad, she had an electric man comming for her. "Find me Sparky...I'll always wait, until you do.
Robin stepped past the broken remains of the cage holding his alien. "Star." dropping onto one knee he picked up a small sliver of the scrap. He lifted the empowered cuffs to his face and kissed her fingertips. using the metal he freed his alien from her bonds. lastly he pulled the blinds from her face and looked into her green eyes. "Hey"
she smiled "Greetings."
the distance between them closed.
Beastboy, how long have we been running down this hall?"
Beastboy thought about it. "ya know, I don't know..."
the three heros paused
"Look, It's great yall are reunited, but now my girl needs ME, and I intend to find her, even if I run down this stupid hall till I'm 80..."
Beastboy smiled, "Dude, we're not giving up, but lets think...I smell her, she behind this stone wall, but we cant blast our way through."
Raven mentally slapped herself. "Azar, why? I can teleport us..." she said plainly
the two boys just stared at her...disbelief in their eyes. Raven cringed "Sorry...come on...I wanna go home." she gathered them all into one area and breathed deep. "Azarath metrion zinthos!" and the melted into the dark.
It's almost over now, But; I had an idea for a sequal. :) reviews please! they are my artistic fuel. Oh and I'm sorry again for the long update period :(
